  • HT4623 how to back one step

Hallo every body !  .. Nice to see you.
I am a new be in apple community, olso in iOS.
No wonder in application or OS. Every thing understood in a few hours. But only one make me confuse, I can't find the button  to back one step. Ya, one step back to a page before current page. I only knew home button, not by click but push it, the button at the bottom of front.
Any one can help me ?
    Thanks in advance.
    My regards

  • Multiple "Undo's" just to go back one step

I've had this problem for some time, but I've finally gotten aggravated enough to ask the question. I'm running FCP 4.5, and I often (but not always) have to do multiple Undo's (via CMD-Z, of course) before I can go back one step in editing.
For example, if I paste a bunch of stuff I copied into the clipboard from another sequence and I accidentally paste over stuff I didn't mean to obliterate, I'll undo, but it takes multiple undo's to get to where I was just before I "Pasted".
    Any ideas?

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
    * Right click on the Back or Forward button
    * Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens
You can look at this extension:
    * Backward Forward History Dropdown: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforedrop/

Why can´t I take a step back with the keyboard shortcut, cmd + ö, it was possible before, now you have to go to the bar at the top and "go back one step." I have Mac-systems, I also have mouse elbow, and do not want to use the mouse too often.

This article lists some other options for "Back" navigation. Do any of them work for you?
[[Keyboard shortcuts - Perform common Firefox tasks quickly]]
Note: if you are not shown Mac keyboard combinations in knowledge base articles, scroll down a bit and look for something like this in the right column:
    ''Article is for:''<br>
    + Windows<br>
    + Firefox 14
Click Windows to change to your OS.

  • The little 'down' arrow that used to live next to the forward and back arrows in the upper left of the navigation bar, is missing. It was handy to use to go back in big jumps without having to go back one step at a time. Can you please restore it?

When searching through a website, covering many pages of information, sometimes you just want to jump back to a page.
Using the little dow arrow was a handy way to see where you have been and to jump multiple steps/pages backwards without continuing to click back, back, back, until finally reaching where you were. I really use it a lot and am hoping you will either restore it or provide me with a new way to do the same thing.
    Thank you!
    Maggie

  • How do you go back one step?

If you want to back up one selection in menu or choice is there something like the Esc key in a browser to cancel last choice?

Often there's a back arrow on the top left.

  • When I'm in a subfolder in Finder, how to I go back one step?

    Mountain Lion Mac Intel
I am learning how to file things and to make subfolders, but when I am looking things up, I cannot figure out how to go back up one folder.  Right now, I'm going all the way back to documents and starting over and I know there has to be an easier way.

Thanks to all who responded - I'll try each suggestion.
For some reason, it never dawned on me to use the back arrow.
Allan - I like seeing the whole path - great hint
To the others who suggested the column view - I've changed to that view.
Turned out it was the EHD I was having trouble with.  Documents was already set to column view.
And thanks for the keyboard shortcuts.
I think my problem is overthinking this learning process.  Each time someone shows me the way, I go DUH - of course that's the way to do it.
30 years with a PC makes this transition more difficult than I would've thought it would be.

  • I used Migration Assistant to copy data to an new MacBook Pro from an old via my Time Capsule. When asked if to inherit time machine history on the new Mac, I mistakenly said no. How do I go back one step to say yes?

There isn't enough space on the Time Capsule to create a separate backup of the data on the new MacBook. And I am reluctant to delete old backups of the old MacBook to create space to backup the new machine. This occurred about 3 weeks ago so the data on the two machines are now out of sync. If I start over by formatting the new MacBook and rerunning Migration Assistant to pull data from the Time Capsule, how do i preserve the last 3 weeks of data on the new MacBook, considering that I didn't keep track of which files changed in the last 3 weeks?

All the rest of the stuff is where it should be.  As best I can tell. I have been going through my programs one at a time to see what works.  With the change in the OS (Launchpad? What the heck?) I am finding a significant number of my old programs are not working. Some I have found upgrades.  But without a working mail program, the machine is pretty useless for work.
The Apple techies had me run through 3 hours of 'stuff' (holding down keys and restarting, etc, etc).  It still does not launch. I think we are waiting for a 'miracle', but I need to know now if they should just come get this piece of junk or if they really are able to find a solution in a timely manner.

  • One step back?

  • Go back one animation on the iPad for Keynote integrated in iBooks Author

When playing a Keynote presentation, you can go back one animation if you hold down the Shift key while pressing the back arrow key.
But how can you do this on the iPad when you have integrated the Keynote presentation with a widget in iBooks Author?
Tapping or swiping brings forward each animation step by step. Bu swiping backward brings you back to the start of the slide.
Is there an equivallent for Shift+back arrow on the iPad for iBooks?

I have the same issue.  I am also using the Keynote remote from my Iphone.

  • Earlier there were a tab, which i could jump back more than one step, by the back and forward tab, upper left.

    Hei.
Wasnt there a tab earlier , to the left of the adressline, where we could jump back several steps instead of only one ?
In between the back/forward tab and adress bar.
    Thanks

Click-hold the unified Back / Forward button, or right-click it to get the Back / Forward history for that tab.
Or install this extension to get the old "drop-marker" button restored. <br />

  • WAD - Back one Navigation step

    Hi All,
Our reports are created on WAD, and we have a requirement to provide the back one navigation step functionality.
When we do any filter criteria on the row fields, then the back one navigation step is working. But when i drag free charcteristic into rows, then back one navigation step is not working.
for ex : first i drag A field which is there in the free characteristics to the row in the report level
and then drag B field in to the row. now if i click back one navigation step, B field should go from the report and A field should be available in the report.
    Thanks and regards,
    Vara Prasad.

    Hi,
Were you able to find the solution for this?
    Best Regards,

  • Can Firefox 6 be configured to remember more than 5 prior pages for each tab so that the "go back one page" feature will allow me to retrace my steps as many as 20 pages back?

Before Firefox 5, the "go back one page" history would show 10 or more prior pages for each tab, so that I could go back quite a way in retracing my browsing steps. With Firefox 5.0.1 and 6, however, the list of prior pages seems to have been capped at 5. I would like to configure Firefox to remember 20 or 25 prior pages for each tab. Is there any way to do that?

    (1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.
    (2) There are many ways for history to get cleared, both internal to Firefox and external. Could you double-check your Privacy settings?
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Privacy
    * The "Firefox will" drop-down says Remember History: Firefox shouldn't be clearing history, but an add-on or external software could do it
    * The "Firefox will" drop-down says Use custom settings for history: inspect the "Clear history when Firefox closes" setting to make Firefox isn't set to clear history. Also check your add-ons and consider external software.
Firefox normally accumulates months of history. However, some of Firefox's database sizes are based on disk space available. If your hard drive is very full, Firefox might reduce the amount of history stored.
