  • Problems putting Images inside large buttons

The problem below is using the Fireworks program to create a
    Button with an Image inside.
Ok I have created a generic button , This button is not a
fireworks button it was made from scratch, the size is roughly
90x90 , what I want to do is place and Image inside this button and
then to be able to move the image into the correct place, If I
paste the image into the button it simply places the image where it
wants I cannot move the image , I tried creating a Layer and Frame
and using the marque tool but it pastes the image top left hand
corner and the image cannot be moved.
    Where am I going wrong.?.
    SPECCY.

do this in an image editor. It would be much simpler/easier
    and more
    reliable that using html.
If you still want to do it in html, put the button image as a
    background.

  • Rotate Button (Or maybe use an image inside button?)

In the sake of a good user inteface,
I'm trying to make this: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4071/5154426822_93ffd02f55_o.jpg

    * rotate the button component - I have no idea on how to do that. If anyone can give me an example i'll aprreciate it.. (I know JSF, myfaces and richfaces. Not much about javascript)
    * put an image on the button. (Can you actually put an image on a command button?)
Any other suggestions would also be great.
    Tnx!

Tnx!You could get somewhere with a HTML image map, but I have no experience trying to make that work with JSF. I haven't seen a component yet that links image map functionality to a JSF component. Is it an option to work with a regular link in stead of a commandButton/commandLink?

  • How do I get my printer to match the colours of the image as I see it on screen?

How do I get my printer to match the colours of the image as I see it on screen? My HP Office Jet Pro L7680 printer tends to print my images with a bias towards red compared to the image I am seeing on screen with Lightroom 5 using a Mac with Retina 5 screen. Would appreciate any expertise on how to calibrate the printer to the screen

You have two options. The first method costs nothing but is not as accurate and the second means buying hardware and investing some time. The fastest way to get things closer is to download the color profile from the printer manufactures site for the printer and paper combination you are using. Install it on you Mac and relaunch LR. This is best when the paper and printer are both from the same company; in your case, HP. If the paper is not made by HP, you can often find profiles for your paper/printer by going to the paper maker's web site and doing a search for the appropriate profile.
The other alternative is to purchase a piece of hardware such as the ColorMonki which can be used to not only profile your monitor for color balance but also you printer/paper as well as your camera. When all of your devices agree on what color 118,118,118 means, you get the same color from capture to print but this is also an expensive option and there is a lot of time involved in building your own color profiles. The results however, are much more accurate.
Once you have a color profile installed, the next step involves doing soft proofing. Once you have your image looking the way you want it to in LR, open it in the soft proof option. This will show you how your print will look using the color profile for the paper/printer you are using. During the process, you will be shown the print on your screen which may look off. Use the small triangle in the upper-right corner of the histogram to turn on the out-of-gamut warning. This will highlight any parts of your image which contain colors your printer can't handle. Use the rendering intent options to decide how you want these colors handled (relative or perceptual). Check them both and use the one you like best. You can also make additional changes at this point if required before you generate the JPG image. Make sure to save it as a max quality JPG using the sRGP profile. Once saved, you can send this image to your printer or even to a lab as the process is the same. The attached link should get you to a video showing how to use the ColorMunki hardware/software but, more importantly, shows you how to prepare an image for printing (in this case, for a lab) using soft proofing with the color profile created (or downloaded).--Great Color from Your Lab Prints – Every Time! on Vimeo

  • Need advice. Is it necessary to put images in folders and subfolders with LR?

It seems that the concept of spending hours putting files into folders, sub-folders and sub-sub-folders is not needed  with LR. Creating all these folders takes hours, especially if you are like me and need a major reorganization of image organization. My thought is that all images can go into one massive folder as long as they are properly tagged. I can then use LR Smart Collections to essentially virtually organize all my images. I can create many more sorting options using Smart Collections than I can by putting images into a folder. This flies in the face of everything I've learned about storing data on a computer so I'm nervouse to head this direction because it starts with unorganizing my folders and removing all tags so I can start fresh.
I don't want to take this on only to learn I didn't think of a gotcha issue. One drawback is that you are now committed to find anything by using LR or tags only. What do you think?

Okay, then be honest.  What would you do if you were me?....So - give me an honest recommendation on a go-forward path (no "coulda, woulda, shoulda's").
Honestly, I always start off from assessing what you really need or what value you could get from keywording. I wouldn't advise you to add keywords for their own sake.
    Lee Jay wrote:
Meanwhile, I can already find all my images efficiently in seconds in nearly all cases.  I estimate that there is about one situation per year where having a comprehensively keyworded image store would be helpful in saving me time - perhaps 15 minutes each time that happens.
Let's pretend that this isn't quite as black and white as you always put it. Let's say we're mainly talking weddings - typically wedding photographers add few keywords, if any. And let's say you do need to find certain images more often - each time you go to meet prospective clients you want to put on your iPad (you?) a portfolio of your best work for their broad type of wedding. So you might have categories like indoors / outdoors / subaqua, particular venues, age groups, religions through humanist,  formal / weird. Let's assume you do judge it worthwhile to increase the number of keywords.
    Lee Jay wrote:
I could start tagging images now as I collect them.  But then I'd have all those other images that aren't tagged and all the new ones that are.  That means using the smart-collection approach would mean all the new ones were in neat collections, and all the old ones were in a gigantic "untagged" collection with over 100,000 images in it.
Actually, that is the way I would advise you to go. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the possible. It's not at all uncommon that people are put off beginning doing some keywording by the scale of the complete task. But beginning with the images that you're currently working on isn't too much extra effort. Even if it turns out that you never eventually do go back and keyword the old stuff, in a year's time you'll have a whole year's worth tagged. While doing so you'll probably adopt ways to make keywording less of a chore. For example you might add metadata presets to slap on overall keywords for the typical shoot "Wedding, Ceremonies, Christian" and then one or more keyword sets if you can justify putting time into varying the keywords between images - eg Bride, Kids, Cake. I wouldn't waste any time building up a hierarchy (do if you want, or not if you don't).
I simply wouldn't worry about the 100,000 remaining untagged - they'll be easier to tackle once you're you've got the experience / benefits from keywording new stuff. I'd advise you to do it only as and when you need - it's too big a task to do anything else. Let's say you need your best shots of Jewish weddings and - as you're currently keeping a lot of metadata in your head - you know some are in that untagged mass. Find them through the folder system as you do now, whack on some keywords like "Wedding, Jewish, Non-orthodox". All those shots are of the bride - whack on "Bride" (maybe from a keyword set). Hey, she's got an obvious tattoo - let's just add that keyword just in case it'll be useful. And quickly move on. Whatever seems worthwhile.
Although scripting could help, where's the script? Worthwhile to write/adapt one yourself? Instead for folder names I'd just just smart collections to gather image - eg folder name contains "weddings" - and then slap on the keywords. Sure, there will be some duplication between the pseudo-metadata in the folder names and in keywords, but duplication happens with metadata. In fact, it'll be quicker to search by the keyword "Wedding" than search for images with the keyword "Wedding" and / or with the folder name containing "Wedding".
So that's how I'd advise you - start with the new work, and deal with the older stuff ad hoc.

    Hello,
I want to put images on graph whereever I want.
I have TDMS file like this.
My "x Axis" is (km) and "y axis" is MKTY.  If MKTY is 3 I want to put image3 on graph places in the y-axis. If MKTY is 2 then I put "image2" on graph.

For me, not. But yes I have to do this. Maybe I manual have a table which includes the y axis coordinates. X axis is dicrete then when I get the value 2 I will look at its y axis and take the coordinates of the y-axis corresponds to the table
    Is it difficult?

  • Hey guys, I'm having trouble matching the colour of the image back ground (white) with the pre-set colour selection. is there a tool that can help me? thanks

hey guys, I'm having trouble matching the colour of the image back ground (white) with the pre-set colour selection. is there a tool that can help me? thanks

Your description of the problem is not quite clear so I made certain assumptions. I hope I am rigtht. I believe you have a color patch such as this:
that you would like to place in an image area that has modeling in its white background. You do not want to lay in a flat color but rather to add a color and not lose the modeling or other background tone. The problem is, after making the selection, if you use Edit > Fill and set the Blending mode to Color, the white background remains white. The only colored background area may be an object's shadow or some similar area that is not pure white. (Image 2) It is an unsatisfactory result.
If that is an accurate description of the problem, consider this:
    Image 1: The original image
Image 2: Edit > Fill with the Blending mode set to Color. White remains white
Image 3: Mode changed to Lab Color. Edit > Fill with the Blending Mode set to Color. Then return to RGB.
(I would not normally use this green as a replacement color but since it is a Tiffany clock, I chose a light version of Tiffany's trademark color.)

  • Colour profiles of images are removed by Muse

Muse removes the colour profile of images when resizing or cropping them. Apparently, colour profile is preserved when image is in original size.
This is a MAJOR ISSUE not solved in more than eight months since it was reported.
Muse is useless for an artist to display his work if colours are displayed incorrectly.

Some browsers support color management and some don't. In order to have image color preserved across browsers you'll want to save your images using a sRGB color profile. If another color profile is used and the browser doesn't support color management, color shifts will occur.
If the images are already sRGB and you're still seeing a color shift, it would be helpful to have the URL for a page that demonstrates the problem. Thanks.

  • Replacing colours after an Image Trace

    Hi everyone.
I've just used image trace to get a three colour vector of a photograph. I want to replace the three colours in the image with colours from my brand's style guide. At the moment, they're thre shades of a kind of muddy brown.
Any ideas how I do this? The three colours in the image aren't showing in the swatch menu and I don't really know what I'm doing. :-(
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

expand the trace, then have a look under Edit > Edit Colours > Recolour Artwork. you might well be able to figure out the rest.
