Go live sessions

Hi ,
Now we have built Production systems.
Now we are planning to request for go live analysis before golive and after golive.
my questions:
1. what are the session we can request to SAP to do test analysis on our system?
2. Under which component we need to raise an request to SAP?
3. Do is their an document availabile regarding analysis sessions?

Hi,
ultimately, it depends what Contract / Agreement level your client has purchased with SAP.
For example, if you MAx Attention / Safeguarding, then your account should have a TQM (technical quality manager) to formalise your 'service portfolio'
(i.e. onsite services)
However, if you do not benefit from this contract level, then you might be able to purchase services, remote expertise on demand, or consultancy services -  this would have to be coordinated through your SAP Account Manager
There are lots of Continuous Quality Checks available, not limited to and including:
SAP CQC Business Proc Perf Optimization
SAP CQC Configuration Check
SAP CQC Data Volume Management
SAP CQC Downtime Assessment
SAP CQC EarlyWatch Check
SAP CQC for Implementation
SAP CQC for Solution Manager

SAP CQC Integration Validation
SAP CQC OS/DB Migration Check

  • ISE 1.2: Show live Sessions with/without Events

I have a strange issue. Sometime I see Events according to my live sessions, sometimes not. I am wondering is somebody is aware if this feature/bug in ISE 1.2 (Patch 5):
all theses sessions come from the same SSID/WLC (WiSM2 with rel. 7.6). All sessions have full accouting and the same realtime log.
    Any idea?
    Thanks for any input!

    Hi Saurav
I cannot understand your input. I still have the same after Patch 6 update and still no solution.
And it does not matter what I am sorting...

  • ISE 1.2 Live Session View Empty

We have a distributed ISE deployment (1.2.0.899 patch 7) with the PANs in one firewall context and the MNTs and PSNs in another firewall context. Everything is working smoothly except that when looking at the Live Sessions view in the PAN, it's empty. Viewing the same thing on the MNT shows plenty of information, which is what we expect. Is there some bug in the version we're running that would prevent the Live Session view on the PAN from being populated? Or do we just have to use the MNT to view that instead?
    Thanks,
    Brandon

You have it setup correctly so not sure why things are not working for you. The PSNs should be the accounting servers and the admin persona should be the only GUI you/console you should be logging into to manage the system.
Check the deployment tab, do all nodes have a "green check box" and in sync?

  • Clear ISE live session

Is it possible to clear / delete an live session on the ISE (1.2)? There are some sessions which are really old and for sure not live or active.

There is no option to delete the live session on the ISE 1.2. You can choose an option from the within drop-down list to specify a time interval,

  • Best setup for live sessions

    Hi!
1- Can you tell me please if with MainStage 3 i can REALLY play live session with severals VST Instruments loaded inside and a macBook pro i5 + 16G ram?
There is anyone that play live with MainStage that can tell me something, please?
2- And then, do you know if exist a reference or glossary Guide for writing my midi script with the script editor...i can't find anything about the language used by mainstage...applescript or javascript or other?!!
PLEASE give me some informations i'm going crazy ?
    Thanks!

I've tried using the following (but my info is a few years old!):
ProTools, once in a gig, quite difficult to set up but easy to use during the gig.  Reliable, but I wouldn't recommend it.  I know someone who did loads of gigs with PT but recently swapped to MS.
LiveProfessor on a Windows laptop, used once for a gig as well.  Not easy to set up either but it has a time delay feature for controls which may be what you're after in the scripting (e.g. you can fade volume over time say, or adjust a CC number over time).
Forte on windows, but again, its a host for VSTs rather than a visual representation of what you're doing.  As used by Marillion keys player Mark Kelly.
Cubase - not used live but for playing around and testing.  Just a host again.  I know a band who used this but it and the hardware proved to be too unreliable and they eventually invested in a Kronos instead.
Basically for me its the GUI of MS that makes it good, entirely because it displays the keyboard with the layers on top.  This makes it so easy to set everything up and to visually see that its working correctly.  Particularly when I'm under pressure in a rehearsal for example.  All the other solutions above just don't seem to have this type of display, they hide the important things away in text fields etc, which makes it much harder to manage.

  • Is Logic good for Live session recording?

    Hi!
Logic give me many problems. Its can be accepted on studio -BUT NOT IN LIVE!
So is there nice ,stable app. for Live sessions recording?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
I'm looking into a Muse Receptor for my live performances. I haven't bought it yet (waiting for a bit more cash and some feedback), but I'm mostly likely going to get it by September. According to some it is a must for live occasions.
I've put up a post asking anybody's experience with the machine. Look into it. It is a fair investment.

    Good luck.

  • How can a session be setup between two MacBook Pro's at different locations on high speed Internet connections, be setup to have a live recording session in Logic?

My partner and I live on opposite sides of the valley here in Phoenix. About 50 miles apart one way. We are Musicians and are working on a commercial for television, and would like to know if there is a way, between FaceTime and Logic, that we can configure our MacBook Pro's to record sessions together without having to be at the same house? When we FaceTime, he can hear my keyboard through his headphones, but we can't seem to get the signal routed into Logic and register to a track when its record enabled. Is there a way for us to save gas, and record at seperate locations, so he can engineer me and I can engineer him, while we build this project in Logic and Final Cut? Here is what we are using, we have nearly identicle setups, which was planned so we might be able to do something like this. Both of us are using Mid 2012 15" MacBook Pro's with 2.6GHz Intel i7 processors and 16GB RAM. The only difference between the two MacBooks is that his has an Optical Drive, but I removed mine and replaced it with a 2nd SSD Drive, so I have two Samsung 840 Pro's each with 512GB in my MacBook Pro. His just has one Samsung 840 Pro with 512GB. We both use Focusrite Saffire Liquid 56 Firewire Audio Interfaces, and we both use Logic Studio 9 Academic. I don't know if you need to know what we are using in order to help us figure out how to configure the MacBooks for a live session, so I figured I would give you those details just in case. If you need any more information, just let me know? Oh, we both have high speed cable Internet connections. Mine is 150Mbps speed which is the absolute fastest I can get in my area. And his is only a 50Mbps speed line.
Again, what we are looking to do is have a LIVE recording session, in Logic, with him at his house and me at my house. When we FaceTime each other, we can pretty much hear each others keyboards as if they were part of the conversation, and as crystal clear as we can hear our own when recording, but we can't seem to record enable an Audio track in Logic and route that keyboard signal into Logic and record it so we can engineer each other without either one of us having to drive to the others house, to be there to do it. If any of this even makes sense, I'm not quite sure how to better explain it. So hopefully you get what I mean, otherwise just say so, and I will try to do a better job explaining it.  :-)
Anyone who can help us with this little problem would be greatly appreciated, and quite a hero in these two humble Musicians Worlds!! So from both of us, THANK YOU in advance for any input you might be able to give us. I look forward to hearing any and all suggestions.
    Scott

    Hey Scott
You and ALOT of people are attempting to do this, myself included.
Unfortunately at this point (to my knowledge) it's a pretty CRAP setup involved that will likely leave you frustrated.
    HOWEVER:
A few things CAN be done:
IF you are getting live audio from your partner over the internet, you can re-direct that audio directly into Logic using a program called SoundFlower.
There are a few alternatives to SoundFlower, like JackTrip, and.....(the name eludes me)
(SoundFlower is from a company called Cyling 74 who also makes Max MSP. )
Once in Logic, you set your audio inputs to the track to be Soundflower. (either 16 inputs, or in this case 2)
That all being said, regardless to speed, you are still going to experience latency in the connection, and THAT is the part that will likely drive you to the mad house.
THIS all being said, I believe there are websites out there that are set up to actually do this kind of thing, (at least there WERE) but likely membership costs, and other "hidden" problems that you only learn about after you have signed on the dotted line. (Hopefully I am wrong?)
If you don't need to do a "live jam", there are always solutions like DropBox that work very well for exchanging large files quickly.
If you want to record live MIDI input from his keyboard, I am unaware of any solutions for this.
Due to the popularity of the iPad, you might want to look into the App store, and see if there is something available.
    Good luck!

  • No records in Live Authentications

We have not updated to 1.2.1 yet and are running 1.2.0.899. the only changes made to the system was alarm settings, which was just adding emails to alarm notification in settings.
Four hours after the alarm notif. change we started gettings alerts that ISE had not had any authent requests, 2 days later it shows no records in LIve authent or live sessions 4 hours after the change. All subfeilds at the top(i.e., Misconfigured Network Devices, Repeat Counters) are all zero as well. Authentication still SEEMS to be working, i am still able to log into network devices and users are still getting domain access so we are really puzzled as to why nothing is being reported in the logs. On the home page of ISE, it also shows the system summary as "no data available" and we get "no heartbeat" alarms continuously and Critical : health status alerts.

ISE 1.2 Dashboard Statics do not update
    CSCul94611
    Description
    Symptom:
Issue with the Live dashboard in ISE 1.1.4 not displaying information and only showing "No Data Available".
The Dash Board will run and work for awhile, but it will randomly stop updating any statistics on the dashboard.
Data will show and is seen in the database, but never updates per incoming/outgoing endpoints.
Live authentications will work fine as well as all users are able to be authenticated. Customer reports do not produce data.
Seen on multiple customer's deployments with fresh installs, a fresh install with a backup from a previous 1.1.x version, as well as upgrading to 1.1.4 from any earlier 1.1.x version.
    Conditions:
    Cisco ISE 1.2 or 1.1.4
    Any browser
    Distributed or single node deployment.
    Workaround:
The workaround that fixes this M&T corruption is to enter the following commands below:
    ms-ise-mgm01/admin# app config ise
    Selection ISE configuration option
[1]Reset Active Directory settings to defaults
    [2]Display Active Directory settings
    [3]Configure Active Directory settings
    [4]Restart/Apply Active Directory settings
[5]Clear Active Directory Trusts Cache and restart/apply Active Directory settings
    [6]Enable/Disable ERS API
    [7]Reset M&T Session Database
    [8]Rebuild M&T Unusable Indexes
    [9]Purge M&T Operational Data
    [10]Reset M&T Database
    [11]Refresh M&T Database Statistics
    [12]Display Profiler Statistics
    [13]Exit
We need to select the following options:
7 to reset the session db
10 to reset the M&T database
11 to refresh the statistics (Possibly do not need. Was only needed in 1 case.)
Once you have run these commands the DashBoard should begin to display information.
This process can take up to 12 hours to complete all three steps. Roughly 1 to 3 hours per option selected.

  • Sessions in a multi-server env...

Hi guys, I have a question concerning sessions in a multi-server environment...
The scenario is this-- There is hardware-based load balancer distributing across two or more webservers, which tie into a central database...
My question is, what is the accepted way to propogate sessions from one webserver to the next? What I mean is, if the user hits webserver A and starts a session and the next request happens to get routed to webserver B, how can webserver B access the session that was started on webserver A?
The immediate application of this would be to keep a user "logged in" or shopping cart ability.
I have a few ideas but would like to hear yours before I taint the discussion :)
I'm very sorry if this has been discussed before, but I did search and did not find what I was looking for (searching for "Session" isnt very helpful...)
    Thanks a bunch!

The big application servers from ATG, BEA and IBM handles this in roughly the same way.
You have several app.server instances handling user requests. In front of these you have an app.server instance in "load balancer mode" which dispatches incoming requests in ongiong sessions to the app. server instance the session is located on, and dispatches requests for new sessions to the least busy app. server.
This is all fine until one of the app. servers breaks down, is taken offline for maintenance or suffers network or hardware failure. The better application servers are capable of making the sessions that ran on the downed app. server instance move to another app. server instance. To facilitate this, the content of all sessions are constantly being mirrored to another app. server than the one handling the session. This is done by means of serialization. In this way sessions can continue running uninterupted even if the app. server that handled them goes down with no warning.
It's facilities like this that makes it worthwhile to pay the premium prices for ATG Dynamo, BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere over application servers like tomcat.
One of the niftier setups I have seen was made with four SUN boxes in as many countries, each running a localized version of a news service website. These servers acted as session mirrors for each other, So whenever one of the national servers went down, the traffic and the live sessions were moved to one of the other servers.

  • Session Integrity during Patching

I was wondering about what logged-in users of an HTML DB application experience if the application is being patched while they are working? I know there has been some discussion on this forum before about the fact that the deployment of a new version of an HTML DB application is effectively atomic, but surely there could be an issue if the user is in the middle of a "flow" through some application logic - e.g. in the middle of a wizard-type application or similar.
If, say, the patched application now contains some new items on a page the user has been to that are used on a subsequent page, the user's session will not have those items. There could be an issue about data integrity etc., or some failed validation/process that would not normally be able to occur for a user logging in fresh to the newly patched application.
While we like to minimise downtime, is there a way to forcibly kick users from the application during the patch deployment, or another approach that anyone might suggest? I know that you can set the application to Unavailable, but I believe that if the user doesn't perform any action during the period until the app is Available again, then their session state still persists.
Sorry if what I'm asking is unclear, but I'd like to make sure we have as watertight a patching process as we can.
    Jon.

    Jon,
The easiest way to avoid this issue is to take down the web server. Any other "workaround" has the potential for something to slip through the cracks.
Having said that, you could do one of the following:
    - Run the script late at night, thus minimizing the number of active sessions
    - Purge all sessions, immediately make the application Unavailable, and then upgrade. This is likely the most fool-proof method, as all sessions will become invalid immediately, and as long as you can change the application status faster than it takes for someone to log in, you should be good.
    - Put a notification of the planned downtime on every page of your application, but never actually take down the server. If it's in their face enough, most uses will plan on doing something else during the downtime, thus minimizing the number of actual live sessions. (Yes, it's sneaky, but it works...)
    Thanks,
    - Scott -

  • Session and memory details!

    Hi!
My log file shows as follows:
    metrics Web threads (busy/total): 0/5 Sessions: 575 Total Memory=57624 Free=25022
    What's does it mean?Is it a good sign?I am having 575 live sessions?Can anybody explain pl!Thanks

    Dear Mark.
    Thanks for your reply.
I have tested how much connection is possible by changing the value of
large pool and java pool. Shared pool and pga_aggregate_target are the same.
The database is 10.2.0.2.0 and the os is 32-bit windows enterprise edition sp1.
Thus, there is 2Giga limitation in memory usage for oracle without VLM
    configuration.
    <pre>
    TEST 1 TEST2
    Shared Pool     500     500
    Large Pool      50     33
    Java Pool     50     33
    PGA     500     500
    </pre>
In test1, the max number of connection is 329.
In test2, the max number of connection is 351.
In both test1 and test2, the size of shared pool and pga are the same.
I just decrease large pool size and java pool size about 34Mega bytes.
As a result, 21 more connection was successful.
I think this means that a session memory is allocated to other area
    outside sga and pga.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • Lag When Recording Live Stream

I am experiencing a very strange behavior from FMS
I am conducting a live conversation between 2 people using
their webcams. One of the participants have a relatively slow
computer (we think its the anti-virus). When conducting the live
session everything seems to be fine... Still a bit slower than fast
    computers but still pretty good.
We are doing the following test:
We do a combined count from 1 to 20.
participant-1 counts "1" (this is the slow computer)
Only after hearing his count participant-2 counts "2"
Again, only after hearing his "2" participant-1 counts "3"
    and so on...
so the count goes from participant-1 to the server and from
there to participant-2 only then the "2" count leaves participant-2
to the server and so on...
This session is being recorded. What I am getting in the
    recored video is very strange...
I am getting participant-2 count before participant-1. So the
    count goes:
    2,1,4,3,6,5 and so on
How is this possible to have the order correct on the live
    and not on the recorded?

    Hi,
As it is , in the current form, both the applications cannot make VOD files directly. The live sample application can be modified to have a server side recording of the incoming live stream that can then be played as vod stream.
