Go-Pro video cameras, Tulsa Hills

What kind of go-pro video cameras do you have at the Tulsa Hills location and how much are they?

I see two stores in that area in the store locator.  You might want to contact them for details.
Check out this link for GoPro cameras and prices.  Are you looking for White, Silver or Black?

Using the website, I see my favourite Black model is available in both stores.

  • Canon xl 2 pro video cam , cs3

Anyone use this camera ? got some questions...this is NTSC
Apparently it can shoot 4:3 and 16:9 ?
Does it stay at 720 x 480 and change par from .9 to 1.2 ??
    Or does it go to 962 x 480 ?
Do you get analog blanking ( lost pixels on sides ) or is that just pro live broadcast video stuff ?
Apparently it might be able to shoot 24p, 30p as well as the 30i. Is that true ?
If I have to use square pixel still images with the video (assume video is 4:3 .9 ) does cs3 handle that OK for export to NTSC ( dv mpeg 2 ) or is this something frameserver or other method should be used for best results?
    Thanks ...

thanks Ann, re: the camera stuff I kinda got that info with phone call I think... it shoots 16:9 at 1.2 and 4:3 at .9..and  you get the black bars on top bottom for the widescreen ( letterboxed )... which is ok with me for my project.
They also said the 24p and 30p is kinda lame, so I'll stick with the 60i. ( 30fps interlaced ).
lenses are decent apparently and low light situations is iffy but better than prosumer stuff.
thanks for frameserver info..is what I figured due to stuff I've heard over the years here...but frameserve to what ? I dont have sorenson squeeze... I guess I have to go back and look at Jeff's tutorials etc. when I get to that point.
on broadcast you get some of that analog blanking ( due to this place doing analog ) but thats OK too.. just have to watch my safety frame.
thanks again ...I'll do a test and all that before I get crazy with the still images with 1.0 par and frameserver...of course.. and maybe use a public access channel to actually " look " at the test broadcasted ...when I get to that point...
the camera does have about 3 looks you can program ...but I know from experience that some cameras like 56K better than 32K and all this is sorta test and trial and error sometimes ( regardless rec 709 etc and scopes )... you have any suggestion what it seems to like the most ? probably 56k...
    thanks

which cable do I need to connect my Mac Book Pro to my Panasonic PV-GS150 video camera for transferring video to iMovie?

    I totally understand.
Check some things from here, I have 2 and they have been great so far.
Check here, lots of storage and reasonable prices. Also great support, you get to speak to a person
Clean off your on the G5 drive and off you go.
I suggest buying a second drive and setting it up for a back up, Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner, or SuperDuper (both "bootable" back up) All searchable on the web.
    http://eshop.macsales.com/search/elite+pro
You can talk to a person for REAL advice, Phone: 800.275.4576  Ask about exporting to your G5 and and exporting to your existing OSX, you may only need a small inexpensive drive for this.
Quick delivery and willing to help.
Hope this makes you back up and running :-)
Do get a back up drive, as it is not ""whether my drive will fail, as much as "when my drive fails"

  • I have Video camera movies that are HD format.. I am doing editing work on them using Final Cut Pro, but using DV PAL format for the projects I am editing. When I then tried to copy my work done in FCP Project that's originally DV PAL , into a new FCP Pro

I have Video camera movies that are HD format.. I am doing editing work on them using Final Cut Pro, but using DV PAL format for the projects I am editing. When I then tried to copy my work done in FCP Project that's originally DV PAL , into a new FCP Project that is HD, and tried reconnect media with original HD movies (video), the sequence project got distorted for all the text, shapes used and all.. everything changed its orientation and scale.. Is there a way by which I can preserve my work done on DV PAL and switch it preserving its proportions, scale and orientation, but on a HD project sequence?? Appreciate your help and advice..

Yes.  A couple of ways that might work.
    First Way
What you need to do is load one of your hd clips in the viewer and edit into a new HD sequence.  Does it display correctionly?
OK, select the clip in the hd timeline and copy (command-c).  Now go to the HD sequence with the material that's distorted.  Select all (command-a) and paste attributes (option-v) and choose basic motion and distort.  That should maek things work.  What won't work is anything that you've adjusted as far as basic motion or distort in your PAL sequence.  That I'm pretty sure you'll have to redo.
    Second Way.
Choose your original PAL sequence and do a Media Manage changing the sequence preset to the appropriate HD paramenters with the media offline.  You then should be able to reconnect these clips with your original HD media.

  • Macbook pro fails to read sd card with movies recorded on it, any ideas? I can view them in the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it.

My macbook pro is failing to read a new sd card with movies recorded on it. Any ideas please? A previously used SD card has downloaded without problems. I have tried using a card reader as well as downloading from the video camera itself, neither works.
I can view the latest recordings on the video camera so know they are there somewhere. I am now thinking I should have formatted or initialised the new card before using it but didn't think of that at the time. Obviously don't want to do this now as it will wipe the movies.

  • My new MacBook Pro and Imac can't recognize my digital video camera (Canon GL2) via FireWire 800 9 pin to 4 pin cable.

My new MacBook Pro and Imac can't recognize my digital video cameras (Canon GL2 or Sony) via FireWire 800 9 pin to 4 pin cable. I've tried two different cables.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Is your DV camera plugged in to AC power (not batteries only)? When you step down from 9 pins to 4 pins, you lose the "power" pins.

    • Only if your video camera supports it.  Depending on how your camera works, you may need to add preview software to your Mac to use this feature.
    • Alternatively, your camera may also be able to record directly into your Mac while you are monitoring the Mac's display.
    • If you are using a consumer camcorder that supports HDMI monitoring, a small HDTV might be an simpler solution than your Mac.  For an example of how this is done, see http://youtu.be/GVpSkZD6qE4.
    • The retailer who sold you your video camera may have other suggestions.
    • If you need more professional results, an external preview monitor will offer more capability on compatible cameras.

  • How do I connect an external video camera to my MacBook Pro.

Our school has an indoor graduation ceremony and has a live video feed of the proceedings brodcast from the gymnasium to the overflow seating in the auditorium. I want to connect a video camera that has RCA outputs to my MacBook Pro, have the video show on the screen, mirror it to Apple TV in another room of our school and project the picture onto the auditorium's movie screen. I know that I could just hold up an iPad for two hours, but it would be nice to have a better zoom and a smoother pan than a handheld device. Any ideas of what I would need to connect a video camera with RCA outputs to my MacBook Pro?

    How about this?

  • Using Video CAMERA with Connect pro

We reciently purchased this product and were told that it
would work with video cameras. We have a Panasonic that we are
using with vista. this camera works with Premiere Pro, and there is
nothing wrong with it. I know that Connect is not software based it
is an Internet Application. How ever i know that the OS (vista)
"sees" the camera because it works with other programs. Sorry i am
    connecting with IEEE not USB
Has anyone out there in the world has success with getting a
video camera using IEEE connection to work fully. Audio and Video
    coming through the camera?
Is anyon aware of drivers for either the camera or the IEEE?
And if the Connect product does not support this... WTF?
    thanks

Connect does work with IEEE1394 Firewire Cams, just not with
all Firewire Cams. (USB cams also are not all working).
I would suggest to first try out the cam from different
machines with different OSs (Vista might well be the sole issue
here), also try if you can get an ordinary USB cam to work.
If all fails, you can workaround that using a virtual camera
driver, piping the firewire cam into the virtual cam and in Connect
you can load the virtual cam with the image of the Firewire cam.
Not a nice way round, but it would work.
If you google for "Adobe Connect camera compatibility matrix"
you get a "slightly" outdated list of supported cameras.

  • How to install software (on CD) for Sony DCR-SR68 video camera on my 2009 MacBook Pro

How do I install software for a Sony DCR-SR68 video camera on my 2009 MacBook Pro? The manual that came with the camera says the software cannot be installed on "a Mackintosh", that I should contact Apple.

I think that's pretty clear, don't you? (And, if it does say "Mackintosh", I'll eat my bowler hat.)
You can't use the supplied software with Mac OS X. Either install Windows on your Mac, if you wish to use this software, or find out (eg, by googling) what other Mac users do with this camera.

  • Quicktime Pro won't recognize my video camera.

The video camera is attached to the computer via Firewire. I checked and the computer recognizes that the camera is attached by Firewire.
I'm trying to transfer already-shot video from the video camera into Quictime Pro, but when I turn on the camera and play the video and click the NEW MOVIE RECORDING link in Quictime - I get a message "NO RECORDING DEVICE FOUND".
Does anyone know what I have to do to get Quicktime Pro to recognize the video camera?
    Thanks

When I import the video into iMovie, iMovie squashes the widescreen video into a rectangle with the dimensions of a TV screen, and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it back into a distortion-free widescreen image.
I would upgrade iMovie (from 3.03), but Apple doesn't seem to sell the upgrade anymore (not that will work in OS X 10.3.9.)
I have Quicktime Pro and iMovie and I can't get the video out of my camcorder and into my computer.

it would be better to direct that question to Gary Loftis, since my MacBook Pro doesn’t have a Thunderbolt port.
