Go to internet address from within an email

I used to be able to click on an internet address in an email and go to that address. Now I have to copy the address, go to FireFox and insert the address, is there some setting that is stopping this action?

Sorry it has taken so long to post my thanks for your solution which solved my problem. Thanks for your time and effort.

how can I add multiple email addresses from spreadsheet into email?

I have tried that, but the system reads the emails as one long email and I can't find any way of separating them - it ignores spaces, colons and I have also tried putting them through a word doc... still does not work. It works perfectly easily on a PC system!! ( I have just moved to a mac!)
any ideas would be good

• HT5858 I have had difficulty launching sites from within my email messages. So, in trying to revert to the default settings on my iPad I went into "Settings" and reset everything. Now, I have a black screen with a white apple and a white line! What do

For the last severl weeks I have had difficulty launching sites from within my email messages. Thinking that I may have gone into "Settings" and set something wrong, I decided to reset to the default settings. So, in "Settings" I chose reset everything. Now, when I turn my iPad on all I get is a black screen with the picture of a white apple and a white line below it. Nothing else works. What can I do? Do I need to send this back to Apple to be restored?

You will hopefully be able to restore it yourself. It sounds like you erased all constant and settings rather than resetting all settings. But I'm basing my theory on the fact that you are seeing the Apple logo with the white progress bar (the white line) on the screen. That's what you would see if the software was being reinstalled and then it stopped on you. If that is what happened, you need to restore again and most likely need to use recovery mode.
You can read about recovery mode here.
Recovery mode - Apple
However ...... If you are seeing the white line when you turn the iPad, let it go for twenty minutes or so, before you try restoring again. There is possibility that the software is still be installed and it can take a while before you see that white line move at all indicating that progress is being made.
Frankly, I don't think that the software is still being installed, but since you didn't say specifically how long the iPad has been like this, it could just be that the software hasn't finished installing yet. If you know better - meaning that it's been like this for hours or longer, then you do need to restore the device.

• I'm operating OS X 10.8.5, Mail 6.6, and I can't seem to extract jpgs or pdfs from within an email thread. Any suggestions as to how I can retrieve these files?

I"m operating OS X 10.8.5, Mail 6.6 and have discovered I can not extract jpgs from within an email thread. If I catch it upon arrival, everything's fine, but if I reply and continue the thread, the file is no longer extractable. Any advice?
Thank you,
April Snow

Thanks Eric,
I would try that if I could see the jpeg file. The problem is that once the original email has been responded to, and the thread continued, the jpg files disappear from the body of the original email. Hmmm. They must be there somewhere, but I can not locate them.

• Sending mail to Internet address from SAP system

Hi...
My requirement is to send a mail to an internet address say ABC@companyid from SAP.
I have used a FM So_New_Document_Send_API1 for the purpose.For this I have provided
e_mailrec-receiver = w_emailid.
e_mailrec-rec_type = 'U'.
APPEND e_mailrec.
But I get an error msg in SOST, that the route from (SAP server) to (mail id) not found.
Instead of internet address when I give rec_type as B i.e. SAP USER it sends a mail to my SAP inbox.
I have also checked SAPConnect, and it is fine.
Is the above FM only for sending mails to SAP id, then wats the FM for sending mails to internet address? Its just sending a 1 line mail without attachment.
P.S: I have gone through search in sdn so please don't provide me with links to other threads.
Reply only if you can actually help and know wats this about.
Thnaks and Regards.

• Creating rules - possible from within an email? what do diff options mean?

In previous email programs I've used (Eudora, Outlook), it is possible to create a rule while you're in a specific email, to direct it to a mailbox you've already set up. Is this possible in Mail, or are rules only created from within the Preferences dialog (a lousy choice)?
Also, can someone direct me to a list of definitions for each of the various options in the Rules dialog? My rules aren't working right, and I'm sure it's because I'm misunderstanding the subtle differences between the From/To/Any Recipient/Account/etc options.
Thanks!

To create a rule you have to go through Preferences/Rules. But as you set up a rule any appropriate values from the currently seelected email will be prefilled. So if you receive an email from me, and as you look at it you decide you don't want to see any more from me, you pull up the Rules dialog, click on Add Rule, and you will see that the From option has my email address filled in for you. If you change the filter option from From to Subject, the subject of my email will be filled in.
I don't know of any document that outlines the different options - have you looked at help? (This is not a smart answer, my mail help isn't working and I'm afraid I haven't bothered to fix it.) For the specific cases you mention:
From: the email address that shows in the From column in the mail list
To: is not necessarily you. It might for example be the name of a mail list, or it might be that the sender has included you as a CC or BCC, and so your name does not appear in the To:
Any Recipient: recipients (people this mail is delivered to) may be listed in the To: section, the CC: section, or the BCC: section. If you get a lot of mail that you want to filter, and a common feature is that Tom Jones always appears in one of these, but not the same one, then use Any rather than the specific recipient choices
Account: I have 5 or 6 different email accounts. I might want to treat differently mail from Tom Jones to me at one of those accounts from mail to me at another of those accounts.
If you want to post some problematic rules, with what is happening and what you had expected would happen, maybe someone can help.
Incoming mail is tested agains the rules in sequence, and triggering a rule does not necessarily stop the mail being tested against subsequent rules. It is often a good idea to consider whether the last action on a rule should be "stop evaluating rules".

• Resolve internet address from IF_RECIPIENT_BCS?

Hello,
i use the CL_BCS=>SHORT_MESSAGE function for sending an object linked to a mail.
Afterwards I have to resolve and to document the recipient adresses in plain text.
There are several types of adresses like user names and internet adresses.
I am looking for a possibility to get the plain text internet address;
IF_RECIPIENT_BCS=>RESOLVE gives my only a CAM_ADDRES information including a field SO_KEY...
Thanks in advance!

Hi Uwe,
try SO_ADDRESS_GET with your SO_KEY. The exporting parameter ADDRESS (and ADDRESS_STRING) should contain the email-address.
If IF_RECIEPIENT_BCS->RESOLVE fílls the USER structure you'll get the username (USRNAM, SAPNAM, ADRNAME) with SO_USER_WITH_ID_READ.

• Submit / Approve / Reject Infopath Forms from within Outlook Email

Hi,
I have a requirement where I am building workflows for a client in SP2013. I am using Infopath and Nintex. The client has a specific requirement that all end-user actions need to be handled from within the outlook email body context i.e. the Infopath
form will be embedded within the email body from where each user within the worklfow will access the form and interact based on their actions.
So my query is,
1) How to control the Views for each user within the Infopath form if its to be embedded within the Outlook email.
2) How to control the actions for the user interaction (submit, approve, reject, etc.) so as to ensure the workflow proceeds with its process cycle as expected.
In the whole scenario, the end-user wont access the inofpath form in the web browser or the infopath client application. It will be accessed from within the Outlook email.

Hi,
When we use SharePoint approval workflow to assign tasks for users, then the tasks will be sent together with the email, users can click Open this task button in Outlook to view the task form.

When you submit an InfoPath form as a email, then users can click Open Form button to open the forms from Outlook which needs to have InfoPath installed.

• How to get the client's IP address from within Java Studio Creator JSP/Java

Hi there.
I just started using the Java Studio Creator 2 and now I need to get hold of the client IP address - this should be part of the request, but I cannot fint the right way to get hold of that information. I want to be able to access this information from within the Java-code in a JSP/JSPF-page.
Is there a new way of doing:
request.getRemoteAddr();
This is the way I remember it from the JSP/Servlet-days...
Sincerely,
- Oystein Saebo -

javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest req = (javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest) getExternalContext().getRequest();
req.getRemoteAddr();

fin.close();
spam_from.close();

System.out.println (ex.getMessage());
This code alrady:
Pull Headers out:
-From ( I want to only accept incoming mail from those addresses present in the address book.)
-To (incoming emails which have been sent to multiple users will be rejected.
-Subject
Pull Body out:
-Break up string into pieces (a tokeniser does this)
-Individual words are taken.
-Each word is kept account of in a dictionary.
-If Spam contains a key word, we know it is Spam
-Else; ask dave about line 45 onwards!
-A HashMap is something you can put words in. If the word is already there, increment it, if not, put it in.
-Add up how many times a word is read. When in training mode, we can work out word frequency.
Now I'm trying to pull all the 'from' addresses into a separate data file.

• Get addresses from aol to email

How do I et addresses from aol and hotmailin to the email app in photo shop. what do I need to do this. The thing refuses to load my contacts

The error message mean that AOL is considering the IP address that you are using to be a source of SPAM. You should be contacting the AOL mail system administrator and ask them to update their system.
When you are sending the same email from your work machine, it's using probably your company IP address which is not marked as SPAM.
The problem you're facing has nothing to do with the iPhone or the Mail application on the iPhone.

• Retrieving BCC addresses from a sent email

I sent a mass-email to all my clients, addressed to myself while the client list is in the BCC field. This is a list that took me some time to collect and update...
Now I want to retrieve that list so I can use in the future, but I can't find it anymore, 'cause finding the sent email, it won't show the list in the BCC field, there's no BCC field showing...
...Is there a way to open my sent mail and retrieve that BCC list?
Thanks!

IT'S SOLVED, thanks to my ISP guy who just came back from vacation (thanks, Brandon!!!):
Open the sent message, then click View -> Messages -> Raw Source
This will show the full contents of the e-mail, including header information and should show all the recipients, which you can copy and paste (and edit) for future mailing.
BINGO!

• How do I remove incorrectly entered email addresses from my iPad emails

If an incorrect email address is entered into the address bar it is repeated over & over & often results in non delivery. How do I remove these addresses that do not appear in my contacts.
Thanks
Steve

As far as I know - you can't remove them in the mail app. The mail app inssists on remembering them. You just have to ignore them and eventually they are supposed to move to the bottom of the suggested email list.

• How can I chose and manage the addresses from which my emails are sent?

My ISP lets me have an infinite choice of addresses by putting whatever I like in front of the @ in my email address.
I want to use this to create and manage separate accounts for myself, my wife, and two voluntary associations for whom I act as secretary.
How do I I set this up?
Thanks in advance.

Look for Manage Identities in Thunderbird's Account Settings.

• How do I export addresses from a sent email to a group vcard?

I sent many of my existing contacts an email and now want to group those contacts in a vcard. They are all already in my address book but as there are several hundred contacts that I want to group together, I don't want to do this one by one. Does anyone know if it can be done using my sent emails? And if not, is there a quick way to do this?

The tweaking comes after you have a working csv file which you don't yet. Just to be sure, here's what I did to get mine: In Earthlink webmail, click Preferences -> Address Book Tab -> Import/Export Address Contacts -> Export Address Book. Hopefully that presents you with this dialog box:
I did Save File, not Open, and put it on my desktop. Then launch Apple Address Book -> File -> Import, and navigate to your desktop and select the csv file. It has to have ".csv" at the end of the name as the correct file type. If you do all that and still get the same error message, something else is wrong. If it's still bad, check the csv file on your desktop, try to open it with Excel for Mac or some other spreadsheet program and you should see all the data - names, addresses if any, email addresses, etc.
