Hi

thanks

Use Navigation instead of drill down. In the Column Format tab of Column Properties in Answers, click on the Value Interaction drop down and select Navigate. Choose the destination report. (It doesn't matter what Subject Area the destination report was based on.)
In the appropriate column of the destination report, add a filter set to "is prompted." Now when the user clicks on the value, he/she will be taken to the destination report filtered on the value clicked on by the user.

You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

  • Default dashboard page per user - Defaulting to 2nd page of the dashboard.

    Hi...
I have implemented the default dashboard for each user.. it works perfect.. when the user logs in, it defaults to the first page of the dashboard. If i have to default it to second page or third page of the dashboard , what do i do?
    Please suggest...
    Thanks,

    Hi,
You can use PORTALPATH variable to default for a specific user or role.
    Hope this helps.

  • IIS 7.5 URL Rewrite: Hit specific page of a web application but should be redirected to another application's page

I have deployed 2 different web application on IIS 7.5 running on Windows Server 2008 R2 but on different port numbers i.e. one application deployed on port no. 1776 and another on 8091. I want to rewrite URL in such a way that if i hit any page of first
application such as default.aspx then it will be redirected to particular page of another application along with some changes in url.
Example: if i access any page from first application like:
    http://g2wv126rbsc:1776/sites/main/commercial/commercial-solutions/financing/default1.aspx
then it should redirect to specific page of another application along with some changes in url:
    http://g2wv126rbsc:8091/main/commercial/commercial-solutions/financing/default2.aspx
Note: In above mentioned url, also removed "sites".
I tried to create a inbound rule through URL Rewrite module (installed on IIS 7.5) by selecting Action as "Rewrite" but didn't find any success.
I need some examples if anyone has come across same kind of issue.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How do I open a PDF to a specific page via the command line?

Several questions about opening PDFs from the Mac OS X command line:
    1) How do I use the "open" command to open a PDF to a specific page? (I know I can open a document via: open doc_name.pdf)
    2) How do I use the "open" command to pass multiple arguments (page no, zoom scale, view mode, etc...) to open a PDF file in a specific manner?
    3) Does Preview handle the same parameters as Acrobat Reader? If not, what are the differences in options?
I've spent hours searching for this answer and have come up dry. I've downloaded Adobe's "PDF Open Parameters" document -- it lists all of the parameters I need, however I can't get any of them to work from the command line.
My goal: Open a PDF from the command line to a specific page. At first glance, I thought this would be simple to do and find -- however, after a lot of searching I haven't found an example on how to do it.
Anyone have any experience doing this, and care to share?
    Much appreciated! ---> Kelsey

I don't know of any way to do what you want using the 'open' command. It can probably be done with Applescript, which you could call from a shell script. The Preview application doesn't seem to be scriptable. I don't use Acrobat, so I can't tell you anything about that. Looking through the dictionaries of the apps I do have, it seems that Skim (another PDF viewer) has an AS 'page' class. Below are a couple of links that may get you started. Look for more specific guidance in Applescript forums.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
I don't have any idea what you are trying to print, nor do I wish to know.  Smiling.
The key may be to control this in Print Preview like you would with most things when you are printing from a Browser.
Manage Print Output with Print Preview

Depending on which browser you are using, you might also be able to make use of Smart Print:

Smart Print updates automatically using the default settings. You can choice to update manually by selecting the "?" on the Smart Print Preview/Print bar located in the upper left corner of Smart Print. Select the Updates tab to get the latest version.

  • Go to a specific page within the PDF

    Hi,
I try to figure out how to make a link to another page within the PDF doc.
I tried with a button, but cannot specify the page number where I want the link.
Does anyone can help me to make a link on a specific page within my doc?
    thanks

  • Create a link to a specific page, on the disc

Ok. I am creating a PDF that will need buttons to link to specific pages in other PDFs.
I know how to do this if the PDFs are online but the boss needs a 'dvd delivered' SOOOooooo...
    -Root
      Main PDF (with button)
       -subfolder
        Target PDF (page 3)
        Target PDF (page 12)
        etc....
Would it be the on release -> open file -> ??
I tried doing open file: and added #page=2 to the end of the line. Not successful.

    Possible solution?
During a chat with a friend; we talked about it was not dependent on the browser (trying to figure if IE or FF was the problem) and I said, "It's not the browser causing the issue" well.. that led me to think "use the flippin browser then!"
    Process/Work Around;
On the final DVD I will make a simple HTML web page that is nothing more than a billeted list of hyper links to all the PDFs that will be referenced save it as a web page in a sub-folder and presto... my 'website' is on the disc. Now instead of the open file failure, I'll use the goto HTML..blah blah...=page#2 code that works!

  • Linking to a specific page within the same PDF

    Hello There!
I have one PDF document that is organized like this:
    Page 1-10  Main Information
    Page 11-12  Appendix 1
    Page 13-15  Appendix 2
I need direct links to Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 from a HTML page.   For example, when the user clicks (within my HTML page) on Appendix 1, the PDF opens and automatically goes to Page 11.
I know in HTML I would use an anchor tag but that does not seem to be an option here.
    Any advice on this?
    Thank you for your help!

  • Add the ability to flatten specific pages not the whole PDF

There are times when I need to flatten a PDF, or should I say part of a PDF and it would be nice to not have to extract pages then re-insert them.

Note that with the doc.flattenPages JavaScript method, you can flatten a range of pages, which can represent a single page. More information is in the Acrobat JavaScript reference.

  • How to redirect a sub domain to a specific page in Sharepoint Online

    Hi,
My Organisation has a O365 account, and hoisted the public website on it, now user requests to have a friendly url for a specific page on the public website.  I've added a sub domain on O365.  but i cant find ways to redirect this domain
to the page.  How can i do so?

    Hi,
If you need to redirect the sub domain to a specific page in SharePoint Online, you need to rename the Public Website with the sub domain.
Then configure the friendly URL for the page in the Public Website.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/office365-sharepoint-online-enterprise-help/upgrade-your-public-website-HA102801184.aspx?CTT=5&origin=HA102828142#_Step_5_%E2%80%93
Or you can use the managed metadata navigation for the Public Web site and configure the friendly URL for the page.
    http://jeffkelly.com/2014/05/office-365-public-website-what-no-managed-metadata-mms-navigation/
In the meanwhile, you can post your question to the forum for Office 365: http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/default.aspx.
More experts will assist you, then you will get more information relation to SharePoint Online.
    Best regards.

  • How do I link a reference point in one PDF to a specific page in a different PDF? I want it to open link in a new window AT the specific page.

I have a paper with multiple reference points that I need to link to 3 other pdfs. Each time I create a link in the master PDF, I need to open a file in a new window and point to a specific page in the other pdf. I cannot get it to work.

Hmmmm, just tried that and used the magnify glass to capture the specific page in the second pdf, but when I tried the link, it doesn't open a new window, it sits within the original pdf and I can't go back to the page I need to. What am I missing/

  • Open web browser from java application to specific page

    Hi,
I used the code from http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip66.html to open a web browser to a specific URL. That worked great! However, I run into a problem if the URL targets a specific page, for example, "http://www.yahoo.com/news.html" would give me an problem with the shortcut problem. Any ideas how to get around that?
The command rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://www.yahoo.com/news/ would work fine, except anything ends with .htm or .html.
    Thanks,
    David

It looks like url.dll doesnt like .htm or .html files. For more info look here: http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBI/tip4100/rh4162.htm
For some reason it is confused by the 'm' character in .html which is odd considering it has no problems with .com
So if you want to keep using url.dll, do something like this:
    replace ".htm" with ".ht%6D"

When I send a hyperlink to the godaddy domain name for the website, the site opens just fine. When I send a hyperlink link to a specific page in the website, I get an error message from .mac that 'the user does not exist...' Any idea on how to fix it so I can send a link to a specific page in the website?

Could you provide your url and the hyperlink? If you are using masking/cloaking at godaddy, there is no way to refer to a specific page except via the web.mac.com url.

  • InDesign Link to specific page in a .pdf file

I have an article index that I keep in InDesign.  Each item in the index points to a specific page in a separate .pdf file.  Is there a way, in InDesign, to create a link that will open the .pdf file to a specific page?  The InDesign file contains buttons and is exported to an interactive .pdf file.  For example, I may have an article from volume one, page two.  In the interactive index, I would like the user to be able to click on this link and open newsletter volume one and jump to page two.  I have never found a way to do this in InDesign and currently have to create the text portion of the index in InDesign, export it to an interactive .pdf file and then create all of the links directly in Acrobat Professional.  This is very time consuming because whenever I need to update the index, I need to re-export to a new interactive .pdf file and recreate ALL of the links in Acrobat.  There should be a way to do this in InDesign.

There SHOULD be a way, yes. But there is none. It's not about Indesign, it's the PDF and handling of action like "Open file".
I tried button actions like "Open file" in Indesign, but you only select the file name and path, nothing else.
If you do the same in Acrobat, by putting an action "Open file" for a hyperlink, it will be the same.
The only thing that works is to use an URL like http://www.yourdomain.com/yourfile.pdf#page=3, where #page=3 can do what you want. You could even place that URL in Indesign or Acrobat, but the PDF would a) open in a browser and b) the PDF reader will always pop up that requester before opening internet links and c) the file would have to be on the internet.
Perhaps Acrobat Javascript could do more here, but then you'd have to embed it somehow in Acrobat (I wouldn't know if Indesign can do that) and Javascript would have to be allowed for that PDF. Not a good choice.
