GOBI 2000 on Thinkpad T410 with Kernel 3.8.4 stopped working

Hi,
I'm using gnome with networkmanager and my GOBI2000 was running fine but since the last kernel update I can't connect to the net. When I click on the connection it tries to connect but after a whole lot of time nothing happens.
Does anyone have the same issue? Is there a fix for this?
Installed packages:
linux 3.8.4-1

After the failed attempt the device doesn't show up anymore in the network manager.
Can I force the gobi-loader to reactivate the modem?

I recently upgraded my system to gnome 3.8 and kernel 3.8.8. Since 3.7 my gobi card doesn't show up in network-manager anymore. Here are the interesting parts of dmesg:

Everything seems fine but nothing works. I used the firmware files from http://support.lenovo.com/de_DE/downloa … MIGR-72938 and gobi-loader from aur. It had worked with the same configuration. I didn't change the firmware or gobi-loader. Just the kernel, gnome and network-manager versions changed.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Where can I find Qualcomm Gobi 2000 driver for T410 with Windows 8

My T410 2522 MZ5 has been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 for almost a year. But in the driver download section of this web never have the driver for Qualcomm Gobi 2000 WWAN connection.
I see some members of this forum had the same problem but he said he found a beta version of the driver in this thread (http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/Windows-8-Gobi-2000/m-p/1172795#M81910). So anyone please give me a link to download this driver.

T410 with integrated graphics - DVI output not working on Mini Dock 3 (4337)

I tried connecting my external monitor to the DVI output of the Mini Dock and it did not work. I have since connected it with no issus to the VGA output.
However, I want to use the digital (DVI) connection for my monitor........how can i fix this issue?
NOTE: I have a T410 with the integrated graphics so my laptop screen does not display while docked (I keep the lid closed).

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with no Display when connected to docking station on your ThinkPad T410.
Have you checked updating the Intel graphic driver from Lenovo support site?
Please provide the current Graphic driver version showing in device manager.
Is the system having Windows 7 or Windows 8 OS?

Can anyone help with my audio recordings that stopped working?

Hi, I have audio recordings available in a secure "member only" area of my website. Unfortunately, from time to time, some recordings stop working. I only find out about this when my students / clients tell me. I don't understand why this occurs or how to fix it. Can anyone help? Rita

It could be a browser issue?
It could also be an internet issue for the user?
The other is that if the are long mp3 files, the server times out the request.
I would log a support ticket with BC and be as specific as possible to the nature of the issue and if there is a way to replicate it. When the Student / Client tells you about the issue it would also be good to get there browser version and platform details to try and create a replicable error that can be solved.

When I used iOS4.3.3 , my phone did not stop working for a while although I can't see in Myanmar font!

Apple has not yet included a Myanmar font in iOS, and there is no way for users to add one. You can search the app store for "myanmar" or "burmese" to see if there are some apps that may be useful for some purposes.

2 songs that worked with Genius and have playlists Stop working with Genius- Reset Genius?

Is there a way to reset Genius to work with Songs it has stopped working with. Why would genius stop woking with songs? Would it be because I fixed the media library with Tune Up and the song Genere was changed?
I Changed it back and even deleted the 'Genius pref' from the iTunes folder. I hesitate to turn Genius off/on as I lose all the playlists I have gathered, but if I have to to restore function I would. If I was sure it would help?
One of the songs is 'Lovesick' by Lindstrom & Christabel. A popular purchased tune, Another, ''Four ton Mantis' by Amon Tobin is not purchased. Both are 'Electronica' Genre Both worked for many months with Genius with no issue. I even tried re-purchasing the song for $1.00 from iTunes... No dice. Genius says of both songs that not enough similar music appears to be available to refresh my Genius Playlists that Genius already made.

Blackberry Desktop Software 6.1.0.35 fails to launch with "BlackBerry Desktop Software has stopped working"

OS: Windows 7 32bit
BB Desktop Manager version: 6.1.0.35
I bought a new notebook a few days ago and tried to install the above software (latest version) from Blackberry's website. The whole thing installed fine but when I tried to launch it after installation, I get the message:
"BlackBerry Desktop Software has stopped working"
I tried the clean uninstall with removal of folders and registry entries, rebooting it, running regsvr32 atl.dll and then reinstalling it and still I have the same problem.
I had experienced a similar issue with my previous computer which I fixed by changing the permission and ownership of two registry keys "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion" and "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion". But this time round, I found that:
1) There is no "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion"
2) I can't find a "Desktop.log" in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Desktop" but I did find it in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Desktop\Logs"

Well folks. I've had enough.
The 9780 is a great phone, it's easy to use, practical and dependable. However, the Desktop Manager software has been giving me too many sleepless nights. On two occassions I must add: once at the end of last year when I bought it and only managed to solve it by myself after 4 weeks of trawling through online forums, blogs and other BB help sites and the recent one was last week when I tried to install it on my new Windows 7 notebook.
I know this is not entirely the fault of RIM, Microsoft also has a part to play. But considering the state of technology these days, it shouldn't have to be so difficult. I want a phone and software that makes my life easier and not have to be a slave to it by trying days and nights to solve its problems.
Hence, I have officially decom my phone and gotten an iPhone 4 instead. The switch ain't that difficult for me as I have always been platform neutral. As long it fits my needs, does it job well and doesn't give me too much headache, I'm cool with it.

The lister just stopped working...
I can TNSPing ok...I just can't connect with toad or sqlplus anymore from another computer..
I can connect with sqlplus on the same computer...just not from any other computers.

Since I work with a backup-projectfile, premiere stops working reporting a 'debug event'

Hello,
Can somebody tell me what the next dubug event means and what to do about it...
'Premiere elements has encountered an error.
C:\PRE12\mail\MediaCore\audiorender\API\inc\audiobuffer/audioSubBuffer.I'
Because premiere stopped working a sudden moment I opened the backup folder and used - for the first time since I work with premiere - the back up file to work with. Since then premiere shuts down every time after a minute or so on this particular project.
By the way: it is a very small project so it cannot be the capacity of my (brand new top end ) lap top.
I work with the same settings, files, camera, laptop etc as always and this is the first time I encounter this problem.
So what to do?

Can you try this simple step and see if it works:
Before importing the footage, go to File > Project settings > General and change the video renderer to Mercury Playback Engine software only. Select "Delete Previews" after clicking on OK. Then import the footage.

4g lte router with voice works great with data....stops working on voice

Have had the router about a month and half....works so much better than old MIFi Jet Pack although Jet Pack was good..Signal so much better with router...6-10 meg down 2.5-4 upload which is good for us out here in the country..............BUT here is where I need help..Voice works but then will just stop working without warning. Pick up reciever to make call and get dial tone alright...but when enter call it does nothing and finally gives busy signa. Try and call into the router and goes straight to voice mail. Only way to get it back working is to power off router and power up. Then it is back working for .....hours, couple days, then all of sudden ....won't work..Have to reboot again, and so on and so on....Have called Verizon and they said they will start a work order or something like that. Any one else with this problem?

My parents are having the exact same problem! However, they don't have the data side of the router activated yet. They are only using the phone side. I had planned to turn on the data side but this problem is very concerning. Their old home connect never had this problem. Did you ever get this resolved?

Dictation interferes with Mission Control - MC shortcuts stop working

I just started using dictation about a week ago, and, although it works great, it seems to be interfering with the Mission Control shortcuts (F9, F10, etc.). The shortcuts just stop working, often after Dictation shows some stuttering (short episodes of freezing, or an inability to switch languages). They never malfunction when I don't use Dictation. After restarting the dock with osascript -e 'quit application "Dock"' everything functions normally, but it gets annoying when you have to do that 10 or more times a day. Does anybody know what's going on or maybe have a fix?

I should probably also mention that I'm using enhanced dictation, and that I've loaded two languages, English and German.

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above. Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first. Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough. It is never necessary or helpful to post more than about 100 lines. "The more, the better" is not the rule here.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

Anyone have trouble with ipod Nano earphone jacks stop working?

I have had 2 ipod Nano sice 2007 have earphone jacks that have sytopped working. My latest one was purchased in April 2010, and earphone jack stopped working 2 days ago. Anyone else had this issue?

I have done some experimenting and testing with my old Classic iPod that uses operating system 3.1.1. I don't think this operating system has changed. However, later generation iPods such as nano, shuffle that use a different operating system seem to work absolutely perfectly in my 2010 Lincoln Navigator, especially the ones without a hard drive (i.e. flash drive). My conclusion is that the Ford SYNC updates have somehow not been backward compatible with the older operating system. I know this can be attributed to Apple for part of the problem but I suspect that Ford somehow did not do enough testing with the older iPod operating systems. Turns out there are probably 7 or more operating systems on iPods and while you would assume that "backward compatibility" is a no-brainer, that seems not to be the case with second party vendors such as Ford SYNC. Personally, I have given up trying to solve this problem and have gone to flash drive and a "line in" option. My old Classic iPod works exceptionally well, plus I have a spare so I can probably use these thing till "H freezes over". Being a older retired American these things may actually last a life time!
