Godaddy free or paid hosting

Since you get free hosting with domains registered with Godaddy, I was wondering what people were using, paid or free. I really don't want ads put on my site, so I'd probably go with paid hosting. Is Godaddy worth paying for as a hosting service vs other hosts.
And also, are there other hosting services that would allow your site to function as designed in iWeb 09 and published to MobileMe. By that I mean advanced slideshows, blog comments, etc.

If you live in the USA, you will find Host Excellence will do everything you need.
Cédric, who does the iWeb FAQ site and lives in Europe, uses them too.
Host Excellence provides a better way to set up your folders on the server side than GoDaddy and others and will work straight out of the box with the iWEb '09 FTP.
I never use the iWeb blog because of all its inherent problems. If I did blogging I would use blogger.
The hit counter is not required as there are an unlimited number available free elsewhere.
I don't understand the point about the enhanced slideshow. It seems to work the same on or servers as with MobileMe in iWeb '08 although this was not the case with iWeb '06.
The iWeb Albums and Photos templates look like they are an easy, slick way to display a lot of photos.
The problem is that people can rip off your photos and and, in a lot of cases, they won't download in IE. Do you really need people to comment on your photos?
If you want feedback on anything, publishing to a server like HE will allow you to have feedback forms which are fairly essential for any business site.
You can also have unlimited websites and domain names. No restrictions like MobileMe where you can only have one.
The down time is almost zero and the speed and bandwidth are way superior to MobileMe.
If you want to be found by Google etc and want your site to load in IE, you have to publish to a folder, add tags and optimize anyway. With applications like Web Site Maestro and WebCrusher you don't even have to learn too much about FTP. They do it for you!

Initially I had downloaded Document 2 (Free) application to view my doc, ppt and xls files. I was not able to edit the files so there was an option for upgrade the Document-2 free to paid version. I have upgraded the Document 2 application.

I am not able to open any existing document using the upgraded version of application. How do I connect all the existing txt,PPT,XLS doccument to the new upgraded Document-2 application and then to edit it on my iPad.

As suggested I had deleted the free application and did a hard restart the iPad. I have again copied the document using iTunes. But I am not able to edit any document using this app. Document 2 (paid version) supports editing features of the txt/ xls /ppt files. asuming you are talking about the app store try signing into your account using your apple id into the app store.

An app moves from free to paid when the developer decides to charge for the app. Updates to even paid apps are free. A major upgrade for a paid app requires you to pay.

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

Yes, you can have both free and retail issues in your Multi issue App. For retail issues, you need to have in-app purchases set up in iTunes connect as well.

I may want some of these apps but can’t download & install them immediately on my iPad for certain reasons (e.g. lacking strong Wi-Fi coverage or lacking free space on iPad or iPad is out of my reach).

Deleting from your computer is not necessary and I would not advise it since again it's wise to have a backup. But otherwise, yes, once you make a purchase from any source, the app should in the future be available for downloading from the Purchased area in the iTunes Store app on your iPad. This presumes of course that the developer of the app has not removed it.
One note:
delete the downloaded app file and this will remove it from my PC (and automatically become removed from my iTunes library)
This is the reverse of the correct procedure. If you really insist on removing the app from your computer, delete it from within iTunes. iTunes will ask if you also want to move the app file to the trash. Deleting the app file manually will not automatically remove it from your iTunes library.

Try downloading any NEW free or paid app from the App Store. This will refresh the system and hopefully your other apps will work, too.
