Going from 8.3.2 to 8.4.4.1 - Any Gotchas in config?
Our SIP Provider believe that out ASA is doing something to the SIP Packets we are passing through it. They would like us to upgreade to the latest and greatest verison of the ASA Software.
I have the softeare image (asa844-1-k8.bin) and want to know if I should prepare for any issues in the Upgrade.

The configuration is the same between version 8.3.2 and 8.4.4, however, i can't really speak for bugs that might exist or might be resolved in the later version. It really depends on your configuration and your environment.

You might be able to spot something which is specific to your environment.
BTW, 8.4.4(5) is the latest, so you might want to go to that version instead.

Will going from Reader 3.1 to 5 cause loss of any files stored as PDF files done with 3.1?
Presently use Firefox Reader v. 3.1.4. Many files on my desk computer, operating on XP Pro, are stored in PDF files done with the 3.1.4 version. If I up date to the new 5.0 will these old files still open? Or will they be lost?
Worse case if FireFox Reader was to be removed from my computer what happens to these older files that were saved using Firefox Reader 3.1.4?
I am not experiencing any problems now, but the above questions are a concern, especially as this old computer continues to age.

It all could be a mute point, mush like changing versions of Adobe, nothing seems to be lost or changed in the saved pdf files when changing versions in Adobe. Possibly Fire Fox 5 operates the same. -
Installed the update tonight and now my phone (Lumia 928) won't power up. I've tried a soft reset, but the screen goes from the Nokia logo to a red Verizon screen to a black screen. Tried it 10 times with the same result. What's wrong and how do I fix it? Help!

If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. After iOS 7 update, my iPhone 4s Voice Memo App has 5 second delay when the record button is pressed. When it starts recording, it goes from 0 seconds to 5 or so seconds that it shows has recorded. This happens randomly and often, sometimes it will have the 5+ second delay but starts recording at zero seconds. Besides the delay it has been working fine as far as saving and playback is concerned. I have plenty of storage on the phone itself and it NEVER had this problem before I updated to iOS 7. I've reset the phone a couple times by holding down the power and home buttons at the same time. The reason I have an issue with this is that I'm always recording song ideas, melodies, and scratch takes; what I'm saying is when I come up with an idea I need to be able to know that when I hit record it will start right then so I don't forget anything that has just popped in my mind.
Does anyone have a solution or suggestion?

Data not going from active data table to new data table -DSO activation iss

Data is going from DSO1 to DSO2. I see some of the records are getting missed in DSO 2 which are supposed to come.
There is start routine from DSO1 TO DSO2 and as per the start routine some records should come but they are getting missed.
Apart from that..to DSO 2 there are 4 other DSO sending data.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have an iPhone 3G, and cannot update my iOS. In the General tab, "Upadate Software" is not even there. It just goes from "About" to "Usage". When I try to update on iTunes, it always remains the same. iOS 4.2.1. Any suggestions? (My PC uses Windows XP). Also, my WiFi has completely quit working. Works fine on the other iPhones in the house, as well as the XBox 360, so I am sure it's my phone. I tried everything I could think of, including restoring the iphone to factory settings & then updating, but no luck. Thank you! for any help you can give! I plan to get an iPhone 5, but wasn't ready to do it quite yet. Hopefully my phone can be rescued until I'm ready.
That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed). Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

i had to get a new iphone and want to know how to tell if my pictures from my previous phone were backed up on itunes. when i connect to itunes, does it automatically sync / backup even if i'm going from a 4 w/IOS 6 to a 5S w/IOS 7?

Yes you can probably delete the 2 incomplete back ups they are unlikely to work.
However, I'd be inclined to back up to a computer as well and restore from there, if you are changing your phone. -
my friend was recently in a car crash, and since then, he's ipod classic (180gb, 7th generation i think) has been on the fritz. from what he has told me, when plugged in, it says it is corrpted, but then it goes to an error (which i cannot identify right now).any solutions, or do i need to come back with more info?
Well the iPod is supposed to be synced from YOUR iTunes music library, if you used other means to put music on there then the iPod is going to sync to only what's on your itunes music library when you connect it.
You need to put the files into itunes.
Far as your other issues, sounds like the drive is dying.

How do I transfer all my Firefox saved passwords to my new hard drive and operating system? Going from xp to windows 7. I have the old hard drive hooked up as drive f. Can I copy and paste from old drive directory to new drive directory?
You need to copy 2 files, key3.db and signons.sqlite, from the old [[profiles|profile folder]] to the profile folder on the new computer.

I'm VERY happy with the results (fast!). However, the really strange thing is this - there is now a thin yellow line, way over on the right side of the screen, which goes from top to bottom, and stays there no matter where I go or what I do. I've never seen anything like this! It was not there before I did the upgrades. Anyone out there ever heard of such a preposterous thing ~ or have any ideas on how to get rid of it?

I keep having to restart it every time I want to use it. Sometimes I have to restart it multiple times. The cord goes from the cable modem to the airport and then from the airport to the apple tv. I've replaced the apple TV and I've replaced the modem and the problem persists. I assume it has to be the aiport? But the wifi from the airport works fine.
I tried bypassing the airport and going straight from the modem to the apple tv and it wouldn't work. That makes no sense to me.
I had a friend over to try and figure it out and he couldn't. Any idea what could be the problem??The Ethernet cable from the modem should be connected to the AirPort's WAN (circle of dots) port and a second Ethernet cable should be connected between the AirPort's LAN (opposing arrows) port and the Ethernet port on the Apple TV. Is this the case?
If so, what is the make & model of the modem that the AirPort is connected to. Also what is the exact model of both the AirPort and the Apple TV? -

Do any of you know whether you can use any Cat5e ethernet cable from the Red Infinity socket on the HH3 to the LAN1 port on the Openreach modem as opposed to the one with the red terminals provided by BT? I only ask as like most of you I'm sure, my HH3 and modem are no more than about 20cm apart so I'd prefer to use a much shorter cable than the one supplied.
And does that also apply to the RJ11 going from the Master Socket to the DSL port on the modem (i.e. will any RJ11 do)?

You won't get to ride the racehorse...until you've ridden the mule.... - RogerB 13/04/2010from the homehub to modem, any decent cat5/cat5a/cat6 cable will do. as for the rj11 cable to phone socket, if you know a good i.t. guru, he could knock you up a cat5 cable with rj11 connectors at each end to your specific length, or, if you don't know an i.t. guru, you could scout the net for the cable. I use such a cable and it is far superior to the one supplied by bt.
Also, if you feel competent & have the tools,you could do it yourself. i posted howto do this previously, so a quick search with my moniker should find it
