Going from WRT54G2 to E2000

Our old router was failing us every few days (cycling the power would make it work again), so I purchased the E2000. I am not certified, but have configured many, many routers and I am no stranger to Cisco products.
I printed off the configuration pages from the old router and put all the information into the new one. Double and triple checked the static ip/gateway/dns settings and all the other pages, but cannot get this new router to work. Should be just as simple as that, but I either this thing is dead or I am missing something. Probably the latter.
When connected, I can ping other devices on my internal network, but I cannot see the internet. I tried pinging www.google.com using the router as well as a command window and I get no response. On the Status page, the router indicates that the Day and Time is 'unavailable'.
I put the old router back and it works just fine. Any ideas?

Who is your ISP?
When you login to the router setup page and click on the Status tab below are you able to any Internet IP address?

I can see if we can get your phone back on! I understand how important it is to have a phone. Have you tried this to see if we can get it back on? http://vz.to/1DZhteH . If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. While the phone is off try this:http://vz.to/1DZhXkU Be mindful this is the last resort because it will erase everything on the phone. If you have done back up assistant in the past you will be able to get you contacts back. Please let me know if you need any more help.

Data not going from active data table to new data table -DSO activation iss

Data is going from DSO1 to DSO2. I see some of the records are getting missed in DSO 2 which are supposed to come.
There is start routine from DSO1 TO DSO2 and as per the start routine some records should come but they are getting missed.
Apart from that..to DSO 2 there are 4 other DSO sending data.

Please help me out as this is very irritating. This has been happening for the last 20-30 minutes. It had roughly half battery left.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed). Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

Yes you can probably delete the 2 incomplete back ups they are unlikely to work.
However, I'd be inclined to back up to a computer as well and restore from there, if you are changing your phone.

You need to copy 2 files, key3.db and signons.sqlite, from the old [[profiles|profile folder]] to the profile folder on the new computer.

I just jazzed up my 2 Ghz iMac with 10.6.8, and 4 gigs of memory. I'm VERY happy with the results (fast!), but now I have a thin yellow line way over on the right side of the screen, which goes from top to bottom. This is really strange! Any input?

The problem is well explored with much guidance on what to do and where to go.

My apple tv keeps losing internet connection. I'm going from modem to airport and from airport to apple tv. I've replaced the modem and the apple tv and it still does it. Internet to my laptop via the airport wifi is fine and never drops out.

I keep having to restart it every time I want to use it. Sometimes I have to restart it multiple times. The cord goes from the cable modem to the airport and then from the airport to the apple tv. I've replaced the apple TV and I've replaced the modem and the problem persists. I assume it has to be the aiport? But the wifi from the airport works fine.
I tried bypassing the airport and going straight from the modem to the apple tv and it wouldn't work. That makes no sense to me.
I had a friend over to try and figure it out and he couldn't. Any idea what could be the problem??

The Ethernet cable from the modem should be connected to the AirPort's WAN (circle of dots) port and a second Ethernet cable should be connected between the AirPort's LAN (opposing arrows) port and the Ethernet port on the Apple TV. Is this the case?
If so, what is the make & model of the modem that the AirPort is connected to. Also what is the exact model of both the AirPort and the Apple TV?

Do any of you know whether you can use any Cat5e ethernet cable from the Red Infinity socket on the HH3 to the LAN1 port on the Openreach modem as opposed to the one with the red terminals provided by BT? I only ask as like most of you I'm sure, my HH3 and modem are no more than about 20cm apart so I'd prefer to use a much shorter cable than the one supplied.
And does that also apply to the RJ11 going from the Master Socket to the DSL port on the modem (i.e. will any RJ11 do)?

from the homehub to modem, any decent cat5/cat5a/cat6 cable will do. as for the rj11 cable to phone socket, if you know a good i.t. guru, he could knock you up a cat5 cable with rj11 connectors at each end to your specific length, or, if you don't know an i.t. guru, you could scout the net for the cable. I use such a cable and it is far superior to the one supplied by bt.
Also, if you feel competent & have the tools,you could do it yourself. i posted howto do this previously, so a quick search with my moniker should find it

Going from MacBook Pro to MacBook Air

I'm debating going from a 2006 15" MacBook Pro to the new 13" MacBook Air. (I watch a lot of tv and do some photo editing).
The screen size difference is the biggest thing that's holding me back. Has anyone else made this transition, and have opinions?

I too had an older 15" macbook pro, .....youll love the transition, forgetting all the improvements the AIR will have over your older PRO, it also has a sharper more contrasted LCD led backlit screen than your/my old Pro.
Most all agree that a sharper nicer slightly smaller screen is greeted better by users than a larger low contrast older screen.
To mention also.. fasters read / write speeds, better battery life by far than your old pro...etc etc.

In the printer driver (accessed through the Page Setup button) set the Advanced tab to borderless. Then in the right hand panel under Layout set all the margins to zero.
