Going live with my site on BC

I created a simple site and am trying to make it live. I changed the name servers where I registered the name to "ns1.worldsecuresystems.com" and "ns2.worldsecuresystems.com", and know propogation takes some time but it's been a couple of days. How do I know if I did it right or not? Am I missing something somewhere?

Have you added the domain name to the site? Delegating the domain points it at the BC servers, but you also need to add the domain to your site so that the servers know what it relates to. In V3 you can find this under Site Settings > Site Domains, and in V2 under Admin > Domain Names. If you've already added the domain, check that the spelling of the domain is correct.
It's also worth clearing your browser and DNS caches. To clear your DNS cache, head to your command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns. Clear your web browser cache as normal and try again.

I've made this page for a client some time ago

and it works just fine.
Today I got a call from him saying that he bought another
name... this
one

which he asked his host to point to
the original URL (
http://munck-feldthusen.dk/)
and it does. But when I
look at the page it's like things are not working and the
source shows
me a frame!
I would appreciate if anyone can tell me what's going on... ?
I've nothing to do with the extra domain name, the forwarding
etc...
just trying to come up with an explanation.

Just went live with a site from a template and apparently I missed some templates

Ok, so I launched my first BC site using the Tribeca template. I modified the template pages (2) and everything was apparently hunky dory. Went live just an hour ago and tested the signup piece. So I input my information and lo and behold after clicking submit, the page that comes back with the summary of my sign up info just so happens to be an unmodified original tribeca template page. And most amazing all the links work and display, amongst other things test items I have deleted. So I looked and looked and could not find where this mysterious template I somehow missed resides. Has anybody had a similar experience? Does anybody have any idea what might be happen9ng? Thanks

Hi, is there anybody who sucessfully published a Adobe Muse site with t-online?

Thank you for transfering the post - I didnt find anything there. But, the Telekom gave me the answer now. They still use forms, I needed to fill, sign and send back to Domain Administration Dept. There is no online access.
In a few days I will see, if this works.

Going live with OIM

Hello everyone
We are supposed to go live in the next few weeks and I was wondering how we should install the connectors. Do we install the connectors as documented then overwrite the components (tasks, schedules, forms, ...) with deployment manager or should we install OIM then copy all connector components with deployment manager?

My suggested approach is as below...
I'm not able to make out which Fiscal Year Variant you are using...
1) IMG->Financial Accounting (New)->Asset Accounting->Asset Data Transfer->Parameters for Data Transfer->Date Specifications
i) Specify Transfer Date/Last Closed Fiscal Year : 31/12/2010
ii) Specify Last Period Posted in Prv.System (Transf.During FY) : Fiscal year and period (If it is Calendar year 2010 / 12)
2) There is no problem in uploading legacy data thru AS91.
3) After uploading legacy data, update GL accounts with respective APC and Accumulated GL accounts by following steps.
    i) OAMK deactivate all reconcilation account settings
    ii) Post FB01 entries with relevant parallel currencies, if applicable
    iii) Activate reconciliation account settings using OAMK
    iv) Check AA-GL update with ABST2 report

Going live with our consolidation server?

We have used our consolidation PI 7.0 to run through a series of performance test and integration test with our trading partners. The instance has test data and information based on the interface testing. Our production server will not be ready in time....
What are the issues if we decide to use the consolidation instance (probably copy it with all of the TP information. Is there any issues with this?

yeah I was thinking about that.
I stopped Tomcat and started IIS (in shame), I could conect to the IIS welcome page without problems, even on my IPhone.
when I stop IIS and start Tomcat I can't connect at it looks like nothing is listening on port 80 for external connections. Local connections work perfectly.
Do I need to change the server.xml file to allow external connection. Currently I am using the default setting apart from changing the port to "80"

When I click on an Icon on my desktop to take me to a site (such as google) I get a message that it could not find the loaction. Then it goes ahead and opens a Firefox window with the site anyway as if the message never happened.

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

I hadn't checked the site since January or so, when it worked. It might be related to the Opening Weekend skin they have on the site, but for me, it shows the top part of the page for 3 seconds while it's loading (scrolling down is impossible) and then all of a sudden it turns black, showing nothing. It's that way for every MLB mobile site.

How to distribute App Store Link before going live?

I'm new to the Itunes Connect process, and am wondering how to distribute my App Store Link before going live. My App is approved and is scheduled to launch on the App Store on September 15th. I'm about to send correspondance out to the various online review sites, but am missing this one important link that I need to supply to them.
Itunes Connect is currently Down for Scheduled Maintenance. Do I find the link there? I do have my App ID and SKU. Can I extrapolate the link based on these?
Any insight would be appreciated!

Not that I'm aware of, no.
Find the app's store id number in iTunes Connect, then use http://itunes.apple.com/linkmaker/ - this site will generate a link with a button based which book, app, song, podcast etc. you search for in the store.

Going Live and Editing

I have a business catalyst website: charteraplane01.businesscatalyst.com and now I will be going live charteraplane.com.au on the Adobe servers using the credit from the subscription.
Although my website is all good to go but my question is:
Once I go live and want to make changes ( adding or deleting things ) can I do that in MUSE and then syncronise this with the live website. I think it can be done but I am not sure. I do not get into a situation where I can not

Business catalyst is a hosting platform, which allows to host your file. So when you click publish first time in Muse and publish your site to Business catalyst, it will create two url for you,
mysite.businesscatalyst.com (System Domain)
mysite.worldsecuresystems.com (Secure Domain)
Once your site is published, you add a domain to the site, like mysite.com (custom domain)
Now all these three url are pointing to the same site, which is hosted by business catalyst. So when you click publish in Muse, Muse will show you the list of website on business catalyst under your account. check this screenshot
So when you select the site, it is going to your site. which can be accessed using all the domains (system,secure or Custom domain as defined above). But as you have custom domain, system domain is not used anywhere.

When iCloud goes live, I want to use my @me account as my main account. Possible?

I have bought several hundred dollars worth of music, TV, movie, and game apps on my @gmail.com iTunes account. When iCloud goes live, I would like to start a @me email account that I will use with all apple products. How do I get all of my apps, games, music, TV, etc from my @gmail account name to my @me account name? Is there a way to transfer purchases?

No way to transfer purchases from one iTunes account to another.
All 3rd party apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account that was used to download the apps. This cannot be transferred from one account to another.

Can I send a preview of an iWeb website to a PC user prior to going live?

I have a completed site in iWeb that needs to be previewed by another member of my group prior to publishing the site live. He is a PC user. Is there a way to show him a preview of the site prior to uploading it to ftp and going live?

I'll just live with the terrible battery life on my iPhone 5....

IMHO, each new iPhone has worse battery life than the one before. I've come to expect this. They claim the battery is better, but in real life use, this is simply not the case. I've given up trying to figure it out, I'll bring it into the apple store tomorrow, maybe they'll even swap out the phone for me, but I doubt it will make a difference. The battery is plain awful, but I'm never far away from a charger, whether it's in my car or office. I've grown used to it at this point. Nor am I going to do one of the 10,000 suggestions I keep seeing on here and other forums. Restore as new? No thanks, it's just the way I want it, I don't want to spend 6 hours loading everything again. Turn off location services and apps? What's the point of offering a feature if you can't just leave it on and use it? I have everything (well, almost everything) on. Wifi, brightness all the way up, location services, it's all on. Why? I like using them. That's why I bought the phone in the first place!
So, the bottom line is: I'll live with it. I'll live with having to charge it a few times a day, I'll live with the fact that it'll never be perfect. I will go to the genius bar just for the heck of it, there are issues with iCloud not backing up, and wifi not as strong as the 4S, and sometimes the usage and standby times are identical, so perhaps mine is defective, but I doubt it'll make much difference. Sure, 6.1, or 6.0.1 will be released soon to address these issues, as I'm convinced this is mostly a software issue, but at this point I'm done trying to figure this out.

Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.
