Going through withdrawls, Need Help

I am really at a standstill since trying to upgrade my iTunes yesterday. First, while installing 6.0.1.3, I got a error 63443 which stated that quicktime failed to initialize. Next, I got a message that read Quicktime installation failed Error code: -2. Then the installation ended. When trying to open up iTunes, I get a message that reads: Quicktime failed to initialize error -2093. After doing some research on the boards, I downloaded the standalone quicktime. When trying to install that I get a message that reads: 1607 Unable to install scripting runtime.
It was at that point that I decided to ask for help, yes it was a little humiliating, but I need it....do they have a 12 step program for iTunes addiction?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

HD FCP to SD DVD – been through everything – need help

We're producing a DVD video of the 45th Reunion of the Ford GT40 and can not seem to get quality output from the compressor. The biggest problem is a flickering / shimmering / zig-zag effect on some scenes. Also can't seem to get a clear motion shot of a moving car. Freeze frames are perfect but the car in motion seems a bit blurry. Everything we've tried only seems to make it worse or has no effect. Workflow is from FCP7 → send to Compressor → m2v & ac3 to DVDSP.
We've played with the DVD preset MPEG-2 90 minute Best Quality with Dolby
GOP structure from IBBP to IBP and even IP – no visible effect
Flicker filter in FCP – helped a bunch but didn't fix everything
de-interlacing – better and best – this seemed to create more artifacts than it got rid of
We worked in 1920 x 1080 ProRes HQ and are compressing to 720 x 480 letterbox
Filmed on a Sony FX-7. I have heard some complaints about the FX-7's rolling shutter. I have artifacts in a pan and when a racing car passes across the screen. They are evident in FCP HD ProRes but get highly objectionable on the SD DVD. De-interlacing only seemed to converge a trailing image artifact into a big square blocks pixels. Looks like a comb off the trailing edge of everything moving.
So flicker stays and GOP goes back to IBP but de-interlace only worsened the problem.
Need some guidance, please.

But if things are moving fast, the two interlace frames are 1/60 of a second apart in time. At 60 miles per hour, thats about one and a half feet! So, if you combine them (deinterlace) you get a sort of unpleasant "blur" maybe with horizontal lines for each new 30p frame.
WIth my V1U, I shoot almost everything in 30p now: no temporal displacemenet, but at the expense of all the blur being in each frame, or judder if my shutter speed is fast (that's when a moving object seems to jump from one place to the next: in the case of a car at 60mph, each 30p frame has the car moving about 3 feet. So, if I shoot at 1/30second shutter, that's a three foot blur, if I shoot at, say, 1/1250second, it freezes the car pretty well, but each from jumps the car about three feet forward.
It's all a compromise.

IMac permissions going crazy! Need Help!

When I turn on my iMac, it's fine. After I start using it for awhile, it starts going crazy on me, as if clicking back and forth between any window that is open and the desktop. Also, I try and left click on the mouse, but it acts as if it is a right click. Sometimes when I type with my keyboard, it will act as if I am holding down a key. Each action happens when I am trying to type, click, or just use any application.
I tried to solve this issue by going into Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and clicked "Mactintosh HD", then "verify disk permissions". Once it verified it, I clicked "repair disk permissions". The issue seemed to get resolved, but only temporarily. Everytime I log on to my iMac, it keeps going crazy agian, and then I have to repair disk permissions again. I'm hoping it's not a Mac virus. Can anybody help me resolve this issue permanently? Thanks!

Try to determine if it's a battery problem with a wireless keyboard, get a wired keyboard and mouse and reboot the machine with that and see if it continues.
Once you have ruled out the external hardware, then we can start looking at software issues.
Get a copy of your personal data file folders (Music, Pictures, Documents etc.) off the computer to a external storage drive (not TimeMachine) as soon as possible.

i bought a iphone 2g and itunes will not allow me to activate. I connect to itunes and it connects but when it is done doing what it is supposed to it says were sorry were unable to continue with your activation at this time please try again later or contact apple. i just called att to check if phone was bad but they checked and said it was ok. I'm a rookie doing ads but have used CS3 and have created a
pretty decent ad for my company. The only probelm left to nail down
is that I can't seem to create a click trough to a URL?
I simply want the whole moving ad which includes about 20
scenes to click to the URL of our website. I know that this is most
likely easy for many of you here but I can't seem to figure it out
being new to CS3 and flash (VB Developer mostly). If someone could
give me a few Step-By-Steps how to do this in CS3 I would be very
grateful as I am at a total loss.

Draw a square the exact size of your Stage (the document) and
then select the square. Press F8 and when the dialog box pops up
with the various options, just select Button, and hit OK.
Then double click your new Button Symbol, and there will be
one frame solid, out of four total frames. DRAG that single solid
grey frame to the last frame labelled "Hit" (
Note: Make sure the other three frames in your button symbol
besides Hit are
empty.) Then exit the symbol by double clicking outside your
stage in the grey.
Once your outside your button, select the symbol, but don't
go "inside" it. Press F9 once you have the button symbol selected,
and it will open the Actions panel. You'll be writing basic
Actionscript (make sure your document is set to Actionscript 2 by
going into Publish Settings). Put the attached code into the
actions panel, just replace my fake URL address with your companies
URL.
To recap: You made a "hit" button, which is basically nothing
but a mouse detection hit, the opaque blue you see won't appear
visually once you preview your flash movie. You then applied the
getURL actionscript to the button. In the actionscript you'll
notice "_self". That means when they click it loads the new URL in
their
current page. If you have this ad on another person's
website, you might want to change it to "_blank" so that when
someone clicks, it opens a
new window with the target URL.
If you have any trouble let me know, and remember to put your
button symbol on a frame in each scene, just note that if you have
any other buttons in your flash movie, they will be overwritten by
the hit you created above (unless you put the "hit" button symbol
you created above, on a lower layer than your other
buttons).

Battery Life going down! NEED HELP!

I have only had my Macbook Pro since Christmas Day! The battery life tends to get only about two hours with a full charge! I am extremely happy with the performance and everything that it has done. I have looked for help but everyone says they love the battery life and it is phenomenal. I tend to keep my brightness on the 4th or 5th "click" and keyboard backlight off unless i am in dark which is very rare. I would love some help before making myself look like a fool to the support team. If i could have some help or some succesful past experiences that would be great!

Are you running the Windows emulation program Parallels? There was aproblem with one version where a background process of Paralles cused the Dock to use all the processor cycles:

IMovie is not fun anymore, need help to go back to arlier version!

I use iMovie seldom and for simple family movies.Grandchildren etc. Earlier versions were fun and intiutive, now they have become probably more complete and offer more possibilities, but they are not as simple and intuitive as they were.
I dont like iMovie anymore.

It says it needs to be connected to itunes and restored. when i do that, it goes through the whole process then comes up with "iphone could not be restored. unknown error code (-1)". Please help

My brother gave me his old iphone when the touch screen went out on mine. It's in great shape but when I received it, it says that it needs to be connected to itunes to be restored. I have done this and it goes through the whole process then says iphone "iphone" could not be restored. unknown error code (-1). There is not a -1 code on the list and I have tried most of the suggestions.
Does my sim card need to be in when I am doing this? And any other suggestions?

I did put it in DFU mode but its still not working, although everytime it shows your iphone needs to be restored. Kindly help.
