Going to portal while calling BEx Broadcaster
System gets me to the portal while I calling BEx Broadcasting through Query Designer or Analyzer. Why?? I don't need portal, I want distribute my report by email.
You're connecting to the portal, since the broadcaster is part of the portal. You'll after connection access to the broadcaster options.

Unable to publish to Portal and BEx Broadcaster in WAD
Dear SDN Experts,
We are experiencing the following problem when trying to publish or broadcast a Web Template from BEx WAD to EP portal:
(we are using BI 2004s, SP10, Revision 263 of BEx WAD)
When we create and save a new Web Template, we choose from the menu Web Template -> Publish -> to Portal or BEx Broadcaster. These two options are active but when we click on either of them, nothing happens. The system is not responding in any way.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this problem?
We have thought it is an authorization issues either on the BI side or on the Portal, but as we have granted all neccessary authorizations we can state that it does not seem to be an authorization problem.
I will very much appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance,
Ivan GiurovHi Ivan,
Make sure ABAP and Java Stack are communicating. Run RSRT2 --> Java Web to make sure you are communicating with Portal.
Can you please check if you have authorizations to use Information Broadcaster?
Authorization object: S_RS_ADMWB with the field RSADMWBOBJ = BR_SETTING
Logon to Java Stack Portal --> Business Explorer --> BEx Broadcaster and test it from here. so that you are not having any problem with authorizations or connectivity.
thanks,

BEx broadcaster precalculation variable value shows BEx web analyser iview
Hi Experts,
I'm getting this very weird problem on BEx Broadcaster in BI production portal. In BEx Broadcaster, the general precalculation tab, variable value create /change link when clicked show BEx Web Analyser iview instead of variable entry screen.
This was working fine until two days back when this problem started showing up.
Users are not able to create new broadcast settings in the production environment nor able to change variables of existing setting which is casuing lot of problem.
If anyone has faced this issue before please let me know how can this be resolved? Also it will be greatly appreciated if someone can explain how the link is calling the variable entry screen.
Thanks & Regards,
Seema RaneHi Experts,

Hi,
I've applied note 972514.
Our call for Bex Broadcaster since our portal, are working well for queries, but when we choose (open) a webtemplate and decide to schedule it (by creating new settings )
we have the error message :" Java system error: call FM RSRD_X_GET_INFO_PROXY to ProgId LIL178UX_PORTAL_FW9 on host LIL178UX with SSO not authorized: Authentication failed.
Error Cannot generate broadcast setting for current context"
I've checked the logs (same error message)
SSO seems to be configured well (RSPORT_SETUP+Support Desk Tools are ok)
Help would be grateful and reward.Does the authorisation user in the broadcast setting has authorization to broadcast?
Because that's exactly what you get when the authorization user is missing the broadcast-auth.
You can test this by putting a SAP_ALL user in the authorization user and test it. -
Broadcasting to Enterprise Portal using Bex Broadcaster from Query Designer
I have already been able to broadcast from Query Designer using BEx Broadcaster to the portal based on a role or a user.
I select "Export into Enterprise Portal" as the Distribution Type.
I then select "Export Document to Personal Portfolio" and then enter a role.
Then I check "User-specific" because I want it to be user specific.
This all works fine.
Now I get to my question.
Can I go one step further and broadcast to a folder call... lets say "Sales" inside of their Personal Portfolio?Hi Eric,
I have the same problem. Were you able to resolve it? -
Error while calling BAPIs for DMS from Portal
Hi everybody,
We are developing a portal with Web Dynpro and trying to call from our java code BAPIs that deals with DMS:
BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 - to create a new DMS document and checkin an original.
CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN - to checkin an original to an existing DMS document.
CVAPI_DOC_CHECKOUT - to checkout an original from the DMS.
While using other bapi's that deals with DMS but do not deals with originals (like creating a new document, retrieving metadata about documents and originals) we don't have any problem.
Only when trying to checkin or checkout originals we get the following message (from the DMS?): RFC_START_PROGRAM
the full message is: com.sap.aii.proxi.framework.core.BaseProxiException:RFC_START_PROGRAM error key:RFC_ERROR_PROGRAM.
does anybody knows the meaning of this message?
by the way - those BAPIs works well while called from the R/3. only when we call them from the portal we have this problem.
thanks for any information, Adi.Hi Adi,
Right now I have a similar problem. Did you find the cause/solution? -

My 4s Goes to speakerphone automatically while calling and does not go back to normal even after disabling speaker phone button
AlsO sometimes I. Cannot hear anything in normal speaker even though the call Is going through and has been re ieved on the other end, I have to enable speaker and then disable it to route audio to normal speakersI think that it is something wrong with kernel and graphic drivers but i'm not able to solve it from the beginning of using of Arch by me.
I'm not so sure this issue is software-related only because in my case it seems the laptop screen enters power-saving mode (10-min timeout) on its own without any events logged (as shown by dmesg) so my next thought was OK, I'm going to get rid of this issue disabling the screen power-saving timeout in the BIOS and set it to never power down or something like that and from then on managing power mode manually; ie: when I want to power down I will just use systemctl suspend/hibernate which work fine ... problem is: there are no related options in my BIOS for such timeout.
The only timeouts I have are in /etc/systemd/logind.conf set to 30min (#IdleActionSec) (commented) by default so these are not in effect because the screens goes blank after 10m which is less than the (default) 30m in logind. Maybe setting loggind to 9m (un-commented) to catch the event before the machine-default one ?
IdleActionSec=9min
IdleAction=suspend
Will check it and report back. -

Bex broadcaster from web goes in infinite loop
Hi All,
After executing a query in web, when we click on the send button for the Bex broadcasting wizard to appear, the page keeps loading and the wizard does not appear.
Please can you give some pointers....
Thanks in advanceHi Sireesha,
Can you right click on the Analysis item and go to Broadcast and Export->Broadcast E-Mail and check whether this opens the Broadcasting wizard?
Disable the pop ups,if you have for the browser
You can also open the query in BEx Broadcaster and can create the Broadcast setting through wizard to broadcast a query.

Problem while opening Bex query on the web
Hello BW experts,
I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from SAP Favorites menu?
I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks alot.
SVHello,
Thank you all for your responses.
See below some additional info.
From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.
http://kbws01qx.xxxxxxx.com:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=ZCONSUMPTION
Also, i have executed the Function module : RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET and i get the below values.
It seems that it is trying to connect to Java portal something services may be, but i want it to open in ABAP web only.
Please help. -
