i have not actually done any upgradestill now, i have task where i need to upgrade existing sap system.The sap has already been upgraded, now my task is to upgrade operating system and database

the above should be done by the procedure recommended by sap only, so im wondering where i can find the information and tools for uprading both O/S and DB.

RajI personally would not do a Windows upgrade, Windows can be very picky when it comes to 3rd party SCSI/FC drives you may experience bluescreens during the update after the second boot etc.
I would backup the system and install the operating system from scratch and do a system copy instead.

The version for PI 7.1 is 1.5, instead of the 1.4.2 of 7.0/3.0.
Anyway, for VM settings, you should refer to SAP JVM, which
is used for the PI 7.11.

We have never used Voyager before, wanted to connect Voyager (BO XI R3 ) and sql 2000 (MSAS).
Details of my Voyager connection below:

I tried accessing the cubes using the same data connection via excel pivottable and was able to access the cubes successfully.

As I have been working with MSAS 2000 and I reconmmend to install SP4 on the MSAS 2000 since BO XI R3 according to Support plataform it says that it is supported from SP4.
As well verified that you have access using the security role using your Windows AD authentication since Microsoft Service Analysis does not have its own authentication mode to connect basicatly rely on Windows AD.

Receive Client Security Credentials Via Middle-Tier Application
The MSSQLServerOLAPService service account is irrelevant in the typical client-server environment. In this environment, the user application connects directly to the Analysis Services computer to execute a query or create an object, and passes the user's credentials directly to Analysis Services for evaluation. Access is granted or denied by Analysis Services based on cell-level and dimension-level security.
However, if the client application attempts to connect to Analysis Services through a middle-tier server, the authentication process is not quite so simple. Normally, security credentials cannot be passed over multiple computers. However, if the middle-tier application server and the Analysis Services computer support Kerberos authentication and delegation, the client's security credentials can be passed by the middle-tier application to Analysis Services.
For Kerberos authentication, delegation, impersonation, and mutual authentication to work, the MSSQLServerOLAPService service must run under one of the following types of accounts:
u2022 Local system account (which has no network access rights).
u2022 Domain administrator account.
u2022 Domain user without administrative privileges in the Microsoft Active Directory domain, provided that a domain administrator registers the Service Principal Name (SPN) for the account separately using the setspn utility in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit.
Note There are a number of steps you must follow to permit Kerberos authentication, delegation, impersonation, and mutual authentication to work. For information about these steps, see "Security Account Delegation" in SQL Server Books Online. Also go to Knowledge Base (support.microsoft.com) and see the article "Use Kerberos Authentication for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services."

for printer LaserJet Professional CM1410 any chance to set printing password for windows and MAC?please help?What Windows OS are you using? Are you networked?
If you are networked, you have to setup your file and print sharing options in order to require password assess. If you are just trying to control specific files from being printed, you can do that, too.
If you are just trying to control the amount of printing off of a single PC with a printer, you could setup different accounts for each user and limit their access.
Some of the commercial printers can have password options, but I do not find any password options for the CM 1410, other than what I provided earlier.

Can't open CD that came with a textbook. CD is for Windows and I have MacBook Pro
There was CD that came along with a textbook I recently purchased. The CD states it is for Windows 95/98/2000/XP. Is there anything out there that would enable me to open it on my MacBook Pro? iPhone? iPad (1)? Someone in my class mentioned something about "wine" or "win e" but I haven't been able to determine what that means. Any help is appreciated. I'd really like to use the CD for studying.

Crossover Mac is available in a free demo version that you can try out to see whether it enables the software on your CD to run. If that doesn't work out, you'll need to install Windows on your Mac.

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes for Windows and now iTunes crashes everytime I launch it. I have tried re-downloading and selecting Repair with no luck. Any suggestions?

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

Use external drive for windows and mac

I just bought a external 320Gb Western Digital Drive. I would like to use
the drive for windows and mac.I will not like to make partation on the drive
to use it on both operating systems. Is there any formating system with which i can use in both operating systems? I would like to use time machine feature on that drive also.
Thanx.If you want to use a disk for both PC/Mac file storage and Time Machine, you will have to create two partitions. Partitioning is sort of like creating multiple virtual disks on the same physical disk. One partition should be formatted for PC (which the Mac can also use) and the other should be formatted for HFS+ (Mac only) which is what Time Machine requires. The Disk Utility application makes partitioning and formatting very easy.

It would be helpful to know what version of Acrobat, WORD, and operating system.
Without that info, I would suggest at this point to open your WORD file and then go to the print menu and print to file using the Adobe PDF printer. Open the created file in Distiller and see if you get a PDF. If so, check to see if AcroTray is running in the background.
You say you tried many ways. It would help to know what you tried and what worked or did not work, and at what point the failure occurs. -
I have tried to install icloud 4.0 for windows and again is does not allow syncing with outlook 2013 calendar and contact, using windows 8.1 and IOS 8.02 (get - unexpected error)?
Having same issues. had been syncing every few days with outlook 2007 contacts and calendar but since updated to 4.0.2 and latest itunes I get an error that it is unable to sync. I can't seem to find any solution.

But, the same program is running fine with SAP GUI Type as SAP GUI for Windows.
Is there any possibility to make some modifications to properties and make the SAP GUI for HTML working.

The xls file can be uploaded from local drive.
So, we have created a Transactional iView with SAP GUI Type as SAP GUI for HTML.
When we try to run the program with an excel file, we are receiving an error message - "Empty input file or input file not found"
Then we have created a Transactional iView with SAP GUI Type as SAP GUI for windows and was successful in uploading the xls file.
Just want to understand, if there is any possibility to make some modifications to properties and make the SAP GUI for HTML working.
