Gone, and never called me mother
A major problem has happened today on iTunes 6.0 on my PC. It was working fine up this afternoon, but I've just booted it up & my whole library of tunes (both off CD and the many MP3's i've downloaded over the last year and a half) have just dissapeared. Not. There. Anymore. I've not touched them in the interveining time & a system restore hasn't sorted out the fault.
Is there any way I can get my lirbrary back without having to spend time I haven't got re-ripping CD's (the MP3's are alright, as they're in a safe folder)?
The below link should point you in the right direction. A word to the wise, unless you created a restore point before you install an application then doing a system restore could just harm your system more. It just sounds like your itunes databse is corrupted.

Please oh please make backups of your music and itunes database files on a regular basis. Its also wise to make copies of the db files before doing any upgrade in case something happens.

Recently, there has been a bug on my Mac OS X Lion, while trashing an iphoto the errant pic does not go to trash bin, but simply disappears! Which makes it impossible to change my mind. The trash remains empty, yet the pic is gone, and I never even emptied the trash (because it never made it to the trash)! How to recover the album I just accidently made disappear in this way?

JButton pressed, but not released and actionperformed never called
Hi,
I have a simple JButton, with one action listener that does its thing (or at least should do because it is never called). I also added a mouse listener to trace the issue further.
Here's what happen. I have another component (a JTextField) with a focus listener. If the compoent looses the focus, I want to have a chance to ask a quick confirmation question (JOptionPane) before continuing to do someting else (in that case, process the action on the button).
So the focus is in the text field and I click on the button. Here's what happen:
- The button gets a mouse pressed event
- The text field looses the focus and the button gains it.
- The text field's focus lost handler shows a JOptionPane => focus goes on the option pane
- The option pane is confirmed, but the rest stops.
I get NO mouse release event on my button, the action performed is also lost and my button remains "half pressed" (when i hover the mouse pointer over it, the button is rendered lowered ).
My guess is that the option pane comes too quick and that the mouse release event is transfered to the option pane instead of the button I first clicked, causing the actionperformed to be ignored as a side effect.
Any ideas or suggestions ?

basically that's a bug in the button's internal state handling.

Though it's rather old the issue is not solved (until 1.5b2) It's only applicable if you have tight control over the L&F.

Just had this issue come up. When I go to make calls, it never rings. It will eventually cancel the call. Also, when people try to call me, they say it will either ring and never reach my voicemail or they will instantly get my voicemail. This does not occur on all calls. I have good/great service, have done a reset, checked my SIM card, checked airplane mode, etc. Nothing seems to resolve the issue. Anybody else dealing with this or know how to resolve it?
We want to get your calls back in action, duckcallr1! Did this start after installing new app or update? Have you tested this in different areas? Are your text and data connections still going through?

No sound through stereo headset
Inspect the headset jack for debris and clean if necessary.
Connect the headset and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume up and down button on the left side of the iPhone.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music on iPhone is not paused. Try squeezing the headset microphone to resume playback. Additionally, from the Home screen you can choose iPod > Now Playing, then tap Play.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPhone with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).

MY iPhone 5 keeps blocking incoming phone calls with a message "call blocked" there is no addition information on who/what is being blocked or why. I have just transitioned from iPhone 4 to 5 and never had this happen before. Does anyone else have this problem? How does one find out what/who is being blocked?
If a user has blocked their caller ID there's nothing you can do but either answer the call or don't.

i just recently got a new iPhone 4 (my other one had water damage) and the service is all of a sudden terrible and my calls are dropped constantly. This has never happened before. Any suggestions on what I can do? This is really frustrating!
May be your carrier but try a reset:

IPhone 5s call signal strength is 3 bars and my calls are breaking up?
I switched from an iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5s and now my iPhone signal strength is 3 bars and my calls are breaking up? what gives?
I live on top of a hill in a major metropolitan city and my carrier has always been Verizon and my call signal strength has always been 5 bars and occassionally on a cloudy rainy day I had 4 bars. Since upgrading to the 5s my call signal strength at my home has never gone past 3 bars even when Wi-Fi is connected. When W-Fi is turned off and LTE service kicks in, the call signal strength flutters between 2-3 bars and if I am on a call, the person on the other end is telling me I am breaking up. This has never happened with my iPhone 4, my iPhone 4s. Is anyone else noticing signal problems?I am also having the same exact issue. I had an iPhone 4S with Sprint servince and always had at least 4 bars of service (4 dots after iOS7 upgrade) and I am now fluctuating between 1 and 2 dots on my new iPhone 5S. I am also having people I am on the phone with tell me that I sound like I'm in a tunnel and or that I am breaking up. I am also hearing the breakup of voice service even when speaking to someone on a landline. I took my first iPhone 5S back to the store and traded it in for a new one and am having the same exact problem with this new 5S phone. I was told by the salesman at the store that the problem was due to the 5S is using different towers than the 4S and that the new towers for the 5S were still being implemented. Do I know this to be true or necesarily believe this? No. Do I hope it's true or that Apple will come up with a fix for this problem in the very, very near future? Yes. Apple, what is going on with my service? It's obvious that it's happening to users from all of the major American networks.

TransportListener never called
Hi,
first I will describe the actual problem: I try to send two mails with attachment using commons-mail (in the end javax.mail.Transport.send() is called). This works not bad but only the attachment of the first mail is there. The second mail also arrives but without attachment. After trying with the debugger it worked so it seems to be a racing condition problem.
Now I tried to register a TransportListener to Transport but this code does not work:

I tried to access my Mother's bank for online banking. She has had a slow decline with dementia, I'm Power Of Attorney for her. When not being able to sign in, I heard through the iPad 4 Wi-fi 64 gig, a measured buzz sound, like ppffzzzttt. I've had 3 / 4 & 4.5 and never heard this sound before.
I have had Power of Attorney for my Mom for quite some time. She has been suffering with dementia in a slow then sped up type after her last heart attack. I was the worst candidate for the job but no one else would take it.
I set up banking on line so I could pay her bills. I am disabled and have trouble paying my own. The iPad again filled those shoes perfectly.
I logged on yesterday, and the page said, user name not found. I figured it might have been server maintenance or poor typing but even with all personal details the server would not send my user name.
I became concerned because today I received the Vudu letter that said their headquarters were broken into on March 25th, 2013, and a number of hard drives were stolen with all info they keep on me. They set up an all clear id free of charge for a year, if I wanted to take advantage of it which I did.
The part that bothers me is when I was inputting my Mother's sensitive id information my iPad 4 / Wi-Fi / 64 gig emitted a measured buzz sound 3 times. I have had the 3 / 4 / 4.5 / faster processor but did not go for the 128 gig 4.75, and in all that time I have never heard that sound.
The question, was the bank computer or the FBI probing my iPad 4 and did it place something on it in the memory or damage it in anyway.
I was on the phone for the next three hours with the good, bad and ugly at Citizens. After talking to an acquaintance bank manager who said she saw no problem and did not know why I could not log in. I spent the next three hours on the phone and ended up talking to a nasty tech who said, it was a rule that I could not do my Mother's banking on line anymore. A "rule" prevented me from acting in that manner. It all, from every party sounded so "hinky," Don Johnson, Miami Vice and wondered if there was a rule at all.
I asked him why and what triggered the on line banking system to suddenly boot me? The fact I had set it up about one year ago to date and it has performed flawlessly since that time and a whole year later it flagged the account. He said it could have been anything, pressing the wrong key, etc. I knew he was getting edgy so I ended up getting off the line with him because nothing would be accomplished.
I would appreciate any and all speculations, ideas, or suggestions as I look over banking law, rules, in the next few days. By the way, the money we are talking about is miniscule. A small SS check and an even smaller pension check.

halfcackThat situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly. Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled. I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned. Sorry this happened the way it did. Definitely not efficient.

IPhone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g,In and Outgoing Calls

I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iPhone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.
When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all..
I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either,
Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim.
Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..

ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..neverstop wrote:

and save. Insert Telenor SIM in the iPhone. Backup. Option+Restore (Mac) Shift+Restore (PC) pointing to saved firmware. Reject Carrier updates, if any offered by iTunes. Setup as New.

*Hello everybody,* I just bought a eSata PCI card for my MacPro along with a LaCie D2 Quadra. It looks like my drive now takes a bit more time to be mounted by the system which is not really a problem. My issue is actually that some apps installed ar
