Gone globetrotting can't get my apps or my music

2 yrs ago I decided to leave my hombebase Switzerland and go globetrotting.
I took my iGadgets since they were supposedly all about being globally mobile.
Take your music and your apps with you anywhere in the world! Worldwide accessibility!
So we thought!! Errr! Wrong answer!
Not so!
I used my Swiss credit card to buy tons of Music and apps ... from the store I was originally obbliged to adhere to.
After a 18 months of travelling I settled in Thailand and since it was becoming rediculous buying and paying through the Swiss store I went through the "honest" and proper motions of getting a Thai credit card and a Thai billing address.
Well, there were already problems when I switched my country but, that was fixed promptly. Thank you.
I bought my first MacBook 2.5 months ago.
I am now forced to use the Thai Apps & iTunes store as my credit card billing address is a Thai one (don't have any others in the world anyway) AND, get this, I have no more access to the music and Apps I bought from Apple iTunes and App store in Switzerland.
Actually, since I own my MacBook, for some reason I don't even have access to all my purchases made in Thailand with my iPad (I bought 4 new Apps 3 days ago. I see neither hide nor tail under the "Purchased" tab.
Tons of money spent for what should be my property now and I've been duped.
I'm not getting my money back and I'm not getting my stuff either.
If I go back to Switzerland I won't get access to my old stuff using a Thai credit card .... nor will I have access to anything bought recently in the Thai store.
In Thailand, I don't get access to my old stuff (bought in Switzerland) for the same reason.
I've backed my old phones up to the cloud for the Apps but, I'm still having no access and, get this, I cannot even update the Apps I bought in Switzerland BUT I still get the message that updates are available (and of course the number bubble cannot be cancelled from the phone because I can't download the available updates so, I'm stuck with the annoying number bubble permanently on my phone screen).
So, where is "global" and "worldwide mobility"?
It appears to me the Apple (technicians and managers) are offering and promoting a mobility that the accounting departmentS are just not able or willing to support.
Please don't blame the banks (copout!). My grandfather used to say "you make your bed hard and then you have to sleep in it". Yep, promised something you can't deliver. That's how I see it.
Why don't you create and "International" store so Globetrotters can get access to their stuff EVERYWHERE?
(I don't expect access from space - now that privates can actually buy a ticket on the Space Shuttle - but, at least global Earth access would be nice.)

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
I think that traveling and having access to your content because your homebase, banking and billing details remain the same is a much different concept than what you are describing, which is immigrating, where your homebase is relocated and your banking and billing change. I travel and have no issue accessing previously purchased content and buying new content.
Others report a similar experience as you are describing when immigrating, but only at first blush. Have you tried updating an app obtained with your previous, Switzerland base? What happens?

    apps and music should be in your itunes media library, sync to itunes to get them back on your phone.

    You can get iTunes purchases back by:
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    For other items you need to get them from whee yuo got them the first time.
    The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced mediai like apps and music. If those ore not in the iTunes library on the computer on which you performed the update they are lost.

    Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

    Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
    You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

    See a a version compable with your iPod is available:
    Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
    App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
    App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
    You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
    Also, if you have iOS 6.1.6 yo have a 4G (has cameras). A 3G does not have cameras and can only go to 5.1.1

    As you have 10.5.8 you need to upgrade to at least 10.6.6 to get the App Store as this was the 1st version it came with.
    A workaround is to get a friend who has 10.6.6 or better to download Lion for you without installing it. You can create an App Store account on the friend's computer I think to do this. Copy the Lion installer from that computer to a USB stick or burn it to DVD and you should be able to install it on your own computer, I think. You might have to create an empty partition on your own computer first for Lion installation as I'm not sure that it will install over Leopard.

    1.View 2.Select tool bars 3. Uncheck any of the toolbars below: a. Babylon toolbar b. Softonic Eng 7 Community tool bar!
    4.Finish.... if nothing happened try to unchechked other tool bars.

    The old ID is already grayed in the box for my ID and it does not allow me to type in my new ID.

    I appreciate your effort and realize I did not provide a lot of background.
    My issue began when I unintentionally managed to add an additional .com onto my new apple ID and the system then incorrectly verified this "none existent" address. Following days of effort and emails to Apple support I finally ended up  getting set up with my new ID on iTunes.
    The next problem was my App store login continued to have the "old" ID grayed into the signin and since I had changed it to a new ID, I could not login at the App Store.
    I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with a total of 3 Apple reps without a resolution to me problem.
    The last Apple rep, Chad wanted to be able to take a screen shot of what I was telling him, which made no sense to me but I was willing to do what ever was required to solve the problem. Unfortunately, Chad hung up or somehow disconnected before I received the email required for allowing a screenshot. After calling back and adding another 5+ minutes invested, I decided to attempt to change back to my old ID.
    Once I had changed my ID back to the old one, I could download updates and purchases.
    I realize my question was asking a lot but my hope was someone would have some idea as to how to correct the problem Apple Support could not. It seems to me Apple needs to make a correction on their end but it is now into week two of attempting to solve the problem and I am pretty much disenchanted with Apple Support due to the amount of time and effort already invested and lack of progress.

    You cannot call anyone.  You contact them as everyone else does:  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
    You delete the app as you do any other app.  Hold an icon until they wiggle.  Tap the "x".  This is covered in the manual.

    What software version do you have on the ipod?
