Good application for tracking expenses

Hi,
I am going to travel for three weeks and I am looking for a good application for tracking down all my expenses (hotels, shopping, fuel, restaurants etc`)
Any suggestion will be welcome.
Thanks,
Amnon

I like Mint but it's intended for ongoing financial tracking. There are lots of apps in the App Store for just keeping a record of expenditures.

yes.  As long as it is a newer one (means not 15-20 years old). Do you have one?  If so, provide the make/model.  If you do not have one, which ones are you looking to purchase?

  • Template for tracking expenses & income

I'm new to Numbers. I've seen the Personal Finance budget template and would like something like that for tracking household expenses & income. Does anyone know if someone has created this, so I wouldn't have to start from scratch?

  • Any ideas of good applications for a child of 3?

I'm not really sure where this would be best to post.
I'm thinking of setting up a spare machine for a child of 3 to use with the help of an adult. He always seems interested when I'm using a machine and wanted to see how he'd react to something other than bashing the keys.
However, I've got no real idea of what applications would be best for a child of that age, especially education or education games programs. I remember an enjoyable paint program from years ago called kidpix but I can't even find that. I seem to remember enjoying that sort of games program when I was young but that was on a Spectrum!
I've had a look on the Apple site and done an internet search and have some ideas from there, however it's difficult to tell what would be best just from that and I'd be grateful for any advice/thoughts/experience anyone has.
    Thanks very much.

Hi, Matthew, tuttle, euskir, et.al. —
Matthew, please accept a ~belated welcome to Apple Discussions.
It's been a few years, but my children (19 and 15 now) started using a Mac when they were 2 or 3. They "started up" themselves into interface software from Apple called At Ease — Cora into a simple Finder, Wade (who's blessed with the great soul of Down Syndrome) into a "talking-button" interface that named his selection and even opened the optical drive drawer for him to insert a CD.
Imo, you may be "amazed" at the level of software that's enjoyable. Try not to underestimate ability and interest — and allow for a healthy dose of "I can do it myself!"
As I recall, my children's favorites were:
        • Reader Rabbit 1, 2, 3, etc. The Learning Company now has many more titles, "targeted" for various age
          groups.
        • Many of the Living Books and Discis books titles — but I think the latter may be outdated. Dr. Seuss' ABC,
          all kinds of stories, etc.
        • A lot of the Disney Interactive stuff.
I vaguely remember that graphics components of "games" among the latter titles were preferred over Kid Pix, although they used it. Even simple math software was OK, so long as it seemed fun.
I'm pretty sure that At Ease isn't available for Mac OS X, but there must be something similar available, if you want or need something like this.  Both Cora and Wade were very proud that they could do it all by themselves!
    HTH!
    Warm regards,
    Dean

  • Good app for tracking employee info/time

    Hello,
I'm looking for a simple iphone app (besides a note taker) that I can jot down what time we left the store at night so I can compare to their timesheets when they submit at the end of the week.  Also, mabye notes on an employee (if late, call off sick, etc..)  I use Evernote right now to simply jot down a note when we leave each night and other notes on the employees but was just wondering if there was an app that would make my life easier?
We don't use a time clock at work so it's just a way to help keep tabs for validating time sheets at the end of the week.  Thanks for any input.

This one seems to do everything you want, and has good reviews too: App Store - Timecard Pro

  • Good Application for I pad

I have affiliation with two different companies, both of them use the Good app (to replace BBerrys) as part of their BYOD programs   Will the pad support two different instances of Good?  Does anybody know if Good will support two instances on the same device.

As far as I know you can only install one instance of an App at a time on a device. There is no method of installing an App a second time.
Not sure if Good supports more than one account. That would be a question for them.

  • Best practice for tracking database changes...?

    Dear Oracle gurus,
I'm still relatively new to database administrating, and recently I ran into a situation which I'm not sure if there's some text-book scenario analysis or practice.
I find it hard to track all the database changes across different servers. Our company develop software that uses the Oracle database, so we have development and test servers set up here and there, with really minimal control on them. Problem arises when we make rapid design changes to our system, which required multiple and rapid changes to the databases. I find it really hard to keep track of everything, because sometimes I can't patch some server because of people still using it for development/testing/investigation/etc.
So, is there some kind of good practices for tracking database changes (which we even write patches for), monitoring schema modifications, or maybe even versioning database objects? I've tried to find some information but I think I did not look in the right places or ask the right questions.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Peter Tung

The first thing I would start with is:
Find a version control system that will allow you to store files and version them (PVCS for example). You could for example, store all the sql scripts. Whenever a change is needed, the user could check the program out from the version control tool and make changes and check it back in. Besides sql scripts, you could also store binary files or any type of source code files in a version control system. This would at least put some things in order. In a version control system, you could associate a number or a string with all the files within a patch.

  • What is a good design application for drawing logos on my MacBook Air?

What is a good design application for drawing logos on my MacBook Air?  I'm looking for something that isn't too expensive and is fairly easy to use.  I would prefer vector technology.

    You can try Logoist.

  • How to track changes in a hyperion application for SOX control?

    Hello all,
We have been working on identifying the best way on how to track changes in a hyperion application in regards to the SOX control.
The following areas have been identified as the main areas of an application where the changes are to be tracked:
    Monthly data load from ODI
    Calculation of data
    Metadats change
    Formula edit
    Changes to reports
    Changes to security
Can anybody please suggest the best ways to do this? Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Somebody suggested that there is hyperion auditing available.
Is there any other software that is available that can do this or just documenting the changes would be the best option?
Please suggest. Toyr response would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Shared Services allows the auditing of provisioning and life-cycle management activities to track changes to security objects and the artifacts that are exported or imported using Lifecycle Management Utility.
For Shared Services auditing, refer Page 129 of http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/epm_security.pdf
Planning Administrators can select aspects of the application for change tracking. For example, you can track changes to metadata, such as when users change a member property or add a currency. You can also track changes in data forms, business rules, workflow, users, access permissions, and so on.
For Planning auditing, refer Page 56 of http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin.pdf

  • CORUAWFP "An application for posting goods movements is already active"

    Hi Experts,
We have a strange message- we don't get it why this happnes so often.
In our system, production order confirmatins are done vai BAPI (BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT) and we are executing CO1P (CORUAWFP) every 10 minutes in order to avoid "Intended Goods Movements (GRs are suspendded, because of Lock sutuation)" .
The problem is when CO1P(CORUAWFP)) is kicked, sometimes a strange message is displayed  ,"An application for posting goods movements is already active" , and the job ends abnormaly. We are sure we don't run CO1P  (CORUAWFP) in parallel.
    Why this situation happnens?
    Thanks in advance.

The message simply means there are 2 or more programs being executed simultaneously accessing the same set of data & hence a locking occurs or the table lock is not getting released within time so that the next program can get a lock.
Get in touch with your system admin & ask them to monitor & let you know which programs are locking. Once you have that info, you can then change the schedule of the programs to prevent locking.

Xcode is required to submit your app to the App Store. So at some point (even if it is just to submit) you will need to use it.
