Good Books on Netweaver BI

Hi All,
Does anyone know where i can get good materials and books that i can use to learn Netweaver BI, I will prefer a book that has good grahics and step by step on how to archieve  any goal or aim. Please if anyone know i will appreciate

Either this was a difficult question or no one wants to share their favorite books :-)
For now I settled for the German book "Masterkurs Client/Server-Programmierung mit Java: Anwendungen entwickeln mit JDBC, Sockets, XML-RPC, RMI und JMS - Kompakt und praxisnah - Zahlreiche Programmbeispiele und Aufgaben". But I'm still very much interested in other titles on the choices, trade-offs, architecture, when to use web-services, etc.

  • Good books to have to help along with Certification and Basis Admin

  • Suggestion for a Good Book

    Hi,
Could someone suggest me a good book covering core java security (not J2EE)?. I'm looking for a book that covers all security related APIs that are part of Java 2 SDK 1.3.x + JSSE + JCE + JAAS or Java 2 SDK 1.4.x.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I've a book called "Professional Java Security",
by Jess Garms and Daneil Somerfield, published by Wrox press.
I've used it to dip my toes into the Java Cryptography extension, and
it was very good. I got a TripleDES encryption utility working reasonably easy.
Also covers JCA, JCE, JAAS, JSSE, SSL and E-Commerce.
    regards,
    Owen

  • GW 6.5 - A suggestion for a good book

    Hello people !
I'm CNE in Brazil and I would like to know a good book to implement GroupWise 6.5.1 im my server that it will work with Border Manager 6.5 SP3 (Small Business Suite Starter Pack).
    Thanks in advance.

These fourms are focused on developer issues, you will find that Novell has a
different set of forums for general support, which have a lot more people answering
    questions.
Say that take a look at Novell's own book

  • What's a good book for getting started?

I've been doing web design in HTML and ColdFusion for almost 3 years. It's clear that ColdFusion is on it's way out and I need to learn J2EE/Java/JSP etc. I have a few questions:
Java is a term I've heard associated with C++ and other types of programming as well as Web design. Are the Java/C++ Java and the Web Java basically the same type of language? Is the Web Java and JavaScript the same thing? I'm very confused!
What is a good book for getting these types of questions answered and getting started in J2EE/Java/JSP? There are quite a few variations of script languages out there and I want to make sure I learn the right stuff, ie the stuff that employers are going to be needing.
    Thanks!

Here is a free online version of a good book:
    http://pdf.coreservlets.com/Core-Servlets-and-JSP.pdf
Print it off or read from the screen. Otherwise, there are several good Java books out there. What I would do is go to the bookstore and thumb through a few books. Depending on what type of book you want (example based or theory) find the books that you think would satisfy your learning style. Write down the names and authors, go home and buy them used online at Amazon for tremendous discounts. This way you can buy several versus just one.

  • Searching for a good book about [Arch Linux]

    Hello friends,
I'm here stuck with Windows 8, making a couple of tests about installing Arch Linux in VMware Workstation, if it succeeds, I'll move to Arch completely. My question is: Is there a good book about Arch (installation, maintenance, best practices, security, and so on)? I tried "Arch Linux Environment set-up How-To", but unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected.
    I'm a little confused about UEFI + GRUB2 + GPT/MBR but I think I'll dominate it soon...
    My system:
    [PROCESSOR] >> Intel® Core™ i7-3840QM (8M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)
[GRAPHICS] >> Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 680M GPU With 4GB GDDR5 Video Memory (SLi)
    [RAM] >> 16GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz
    [SSD] >> OCZ Vertex 4 (256GB)
[HDD] >> Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid (750GB)
I wonder in how many seconds the system will boot up...

@op  As others have mentioned, do not seek out knowledge from a book.  There has been quite a few shifts in Archlinux, specifically to uefi and systemd.  There are a few starters for your concern.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … _Interface
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/UEFI_Bootloaders
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners'_Guide/Installation
Other then that, there is the forums and a quick search will land you on a goldmine of knowledge.  Great idea to start it up in a vmware, although it will not require the uefi boot, but it will still get you a bit more familiar with the install process and iron out some basic questions.  Good luck!

  • Good book on ABAP for BW

    Hi,
If anyone can suggest a good book to buy covering ABAP for BW. Basically, decent ABAP coverage with focus on BW.
    Any info is appreciated.
    rgds.
    vinod

    Hallo Vinod,
the book of Egger et al. is ok, but it is not specific to ABAP, it deals with the hole extraction process (extractors for master and transaction data like the COPA extractor or the LIS extractor). The SAP Essential booklet of Dirk Herzog covers all diferent kinds of user exits and BADIs in the BW context like the variables exit EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 or the new extraction BAdI RSU5_SAPI_BADI. I would recommend the second one for your purpose, if you don't confine yourself to programm ABAPs for transfer and update rules.
    Only my two cents...
    Regards Martin
