Good Calendar Package?

I'm not much of a programmer. I wonder if anyone can suggest
a good package for creating a calendar for my group's web page. We
would want to display events and have links to more information and
a link to a shopping cart.

  • A good DTP package to replace LibraOffice?

A good DTP package to replace LibraOffice?

The installation or lack there off of Libre Office should have no effect on the files previously created with it.
That fact that its not correctly installed means files saved in Libre Office's native formats are simply not able to be opened correctly with anything else. In other word you need Libre Office to open Libre Office formatted documents.
Once you manage to install Libre office correctly,  and open your files in Libre Office I'm sure your files will be o.k.
For best compatibility with other Office products, I suggest saving your files in Microsoft Office formats rather than Libre Office's native formats.
As has been said by others, Libre Office remains the bets free alternative to paid Office products.

  • What Are Some Good API Packages For Bar Code Scanners?

    Hi,
I am trying to write a program where a user can scan a bar code on a part and it's information will be matched on our database and retrieved from there. My main problem is finding a good package and method to take bar code scanner inputs on a desktop computer.
If any one could point me in the right direction, that would be very helpful.
    Thank you,
    ~B

There aren't any classes in the API to do that, but there are 3rd party libraries that can do that. Just google.

  • What are some good Plugin packages for Logic - must be Leopard Compatible

I'm new to Logic, heck, Mac in general. On my PeeCee I used Nuendo v.1 and had the Waves Diamond Bundle. I'm looking for something with comparable abilities that's Leopard compatible. Also, I really can't afford the Waves stuff at this point, price is a HUGE consideration for me.
I'm seriously considering going to Logic Studio (use Express right now) to gain the multitude of instruments and Plugins. In your experience, are the plugins included in Logic Studio good enough that I'd get what I need using them and not have to find another package (for the time being at least)?
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • What's a good calendar service to use with iCal on iPhone and mac?

Sometime around iOS 7 and Mavericks updates, my Google calendar stopped playing nice with iCal on my phone. I'm wondering what other people are doing.
I don't know whether it was Google or Apple that caused the issue, and I'm not too fussed either way, I just want to have something that works again.
What does 'not playing nice' mean?
I used to be able to create an appointment, add my wife as an invitee, and it would appear in her iCal.
Now, it appears in her email, but not calendar. Clicking "yes" on the email loads safari instead of iCal. Then there's this whole log in thing. It's annoying.
    What I'd like
    Three things:
    1. I'd like my wife and I to each have a personal calendar. She should have read/write access to her calendar, and read-only to mine (and vice versa).
    2. I'd like a share calendar that we can both see and write to. We used this for family events.
    3. I'd like to be able to invite my wife to an event, and have that invite appear in iCal both on her phone and her mac.
Everything should of course work well with iCal.
I don't care if it works with Google services, although if there's a way to fix my google calendar so that it works right, I'm open to that.

Unless you want a new computer, forget about AVCHD. It requires too much muscle to edit comfortably on anything but the fastest computer.
What camera is nice, depends on your budget. Formats that are easy to edit are HDV, DVCProHD (P2) and XDCAM. In the consumer range you could look at the Canon HV40 or XH-A1s, in the prosumer range look at the Panasonic AG-HPX170, Canon XH-H1s, JVC GY-ND250 or Sony HVR Z5 or Z7 and all Sony XDCAM cameras, especially the EX1 and EX3. In the professional range look at the Sony PDW-F355 or upward.

  • Looking for the "good" calendar - Treo 755p

Last week my Treo started cycling through the reset screens (Access and Palm). I tried soft resets and warm resets until I couldn't stand it anymore, and finally did a hard reset, wiping everything.
I spent the next three days testing how things worked and restoring apps one at a time, finishing Monday afternoon.  I needed to add a few appointment and realized they all had an alarm on them.  I went to the Preferences menu, and I don't have the checkbox to cancel this feature/bug.
I chatted with someone named "Silas" on the HP Live Chat yesterday, but he didn't understand what I was asking and told me that another hard reset would fix it.  I don't want to waste three more days.  Is there a way to get the "right" calendar app?
    Any help will be appreciated!

  • Any ideas for a good accounting package?

  • My money for a good calendar application - any rec...

    Hi,
I heavily use calendar and todos and the built-in applications leave a lot to desire:
    1) todos cannot be repeated, and if every other week I need to pay something that's not a meeting :/ (the only thing you can repeat)
    2) Even if you create a meeting to set repetition there's no custom option, so you can't set something to repeat every tuesday and thursday
    3) No support for multiple reminders - this is crucial for an alarm system. if you get a reminder 10 mins before the event it's too late to possibly do some last minute work or get in the car and drive to it, or whatever, or in another instances you could use a day-before reminder
    4) no support for multiple calendars! merging a few of them results in a very hard to read/use big cal
    5) caldav/webdav based sync with web cal would be much much appreciated but given what I found googgling seems an absolute utopia.
    thanks

  • The good old packages and beans problem

I have a JSP which uses a JavaBean whos class file is in the same directory as the JSP. Assuming the bean is called HelloBean, what should I do?
    lets say this is HelloBean.java
package xxx; //what should xxx be?
    public class HelloBean implements java.io.Serializeable  {
    public String sayIt () {
    return "hello";
    }and for the jsp,
    <jsp:useBean id="hello" scope="session" class= />
what should the class be to fit in with the above code?

first, you should not put the bean in the same directory as the JSP.
    I use two source trees.
    /src/...
    /web/...
The src contains java sources and is compiled to /WEB-INF/classes, the second contains anything associated with HTML and JSP (images, etc) and is COPIED to the root of the webapp directory structure. I do this using ANT. Furthermore I have a etc (for web.xml) and a lib (for jars). ANT makes sure every goes where it needs to go.
Usually I use the rule that JSPs associated with a servlet or bean are in the same path, so:
    /src/com/sun/myapp/Thing.java
    and
    /web/com/sun/myapp/Thing1.jsp
    This works fine for me.

  • Good calendar extension?

Is there an extension that will make a calendar such as the one on the Dilbert site? http://www.dilbert.com/fast/2010-01-21/  -- I know of the following extension but it doesn't have quite all the features http://www.topdreamweaverextensions.com/dreamweaver-link-calendar

    Hi Brad,
in addition to gramps I suggest aside from this question about the calendar widget, that you should have a look to the Adobe widgets at one go. Explanations you will get here:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/widgetbrowser/
    Recent Updates
June 14, 2010 — A new build of Dreamweaver Widget Browser has been released.
    Download the Dreamweaver Widget Browser
The Adobe® Dreamweaver® Widget Browser is an Adobe AIR® application
that lets you preview and configure widgets using a visual interface.
The Widget Browser solves the problem of having to work with confusing or obscure CSS and JavaScript by providing designers with a tool for editing widget properties to suit their needs.

  • Good calendar app wanted to share one calendar across an iPad, iMac and a Blackberry

    Ideas?

You can login into iCloud. It needs iOS 5 in the iPod touch, iPad and iPhone. Then, open Settings > iCloud and turn on Notes. You can also use another service (Exchange, Hotmail, Gmail) that supports Notes

  • I have DELETED calendars showing in my iTunes Sync Calendars list!?

    iMac late 2009
    OSx 10.10.2
    iPhone 6 Plus
    iOS 8.1.3
    Completely Up to Date!
no clouds involved, no calendar subscriptions.
I have had a major problem with my Calendar's calendars, which I have completely repaired using Calendar.  During that process, I had to rename a number of calendars in order to keep track of what I was doing - an intermediate diagnostic step.  Once I'd gotten everything right, exported all the "good" calendars to .ics files, and deleted ALL CALENDARS - both the good ones and the intermediately named ones -  then imported the .ics files back into Calendar... leaving me with ONE FULL SET OF CLEAN CALENDAR data.  When I open Calendars on my mac, I see 33 calendars listed on the left side of the window.
My problem now that I'm ready to put my calendars back onto my phone, is that my Calendars Library (library/calendars) still has many of the intermediate calendar files (that have NOT been DELETED) and in iTunes, the list of Calendars includes all these same intermediate calendars, as well as the new calendars that I want to transfer to my phone.  I would prefer to "select" "ALL CALENDARS" but I can't do that until I can remove the calendars that were supposed to be deleted/removed in the first place.  In other words, I have 33 good, clean Calendars, but there are 71 Calendars in my Calendar Library.
What are the correct steps to remove the Library/Calendars folder so that the iTunes "Sync Calendars" list only shows the 33 good calendars, and not the 38 unwanted (deleted) calendars.
What do I have to do to finish the job?

I have/had the same problem. I tried deleting all the "Library" "Calendar" preference files I could find and like others nothing worked. Like others they would just recreate themselves.
BUT, I did find the solution. Not sure which part worked, but this is what I did.
I quit all the apps, Calendar, and iTunes.
I went into the folder pointed to by job-seeker above:
                   <user>
                   Library
                   Containers
                   com.aple.CalendarAgent
                   Data
                   Library
                   Calendars
Manually went through each cached calendar folder and looked in the info.plist for the calendar title listed below "<key>Title</key>" and deleted the parent folders of no longer existent calendars.
Then find an app called "Reminders", open it and you will find all the deleted calendars that you have deleted over the years, they seem to get cached in it, delete them and quit.
Relaunch iTunes and find the deleted calendars in question are gone.
I think you could skip all the above and just try deleting the old calendars from this Reminder app and it may work, but the above is what I did when it worked for me and I do not want to recreate the problem just to verify my theory. ;-)
    Hope this helps,
    Michael

  • The calendar is a disappointment, right?

    So,
I'm seriously considering buying an Iphone. It looks awesome except for the fact that the Calendar seems to lack a lot of the features that we know from iCal. Actually this is the only reason I have not bought this awesome Phone yet... How can the iPhone expect to conquer the Smart phone market without a prober Calendar funtion?
Does anyone know if Apple has made a statement about upgrading the iCal in the future versions of Iphone?
    Thanks

    CALENDAR IS AN ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
I don't want to sync to outlook or ical! Why should I have to turn my computer on to use my calendar properly...I want to enter a date in my phone and use a decent alert system....not a matter of being 'marketed for consumers or reviewed as a consumer product'....talk about being nit-picky!
I simply want to enter meeting times and places and be able to enter them into the phone (not computer)...I don't want to have to type in my third Thursday of every month apointment manually for each and every month, or turn my computer on and have to enter it there.
Here's a novel idea, since it's an Ipod too-why not be able to hook it up to your car stereo-I could my IPOD. Afterall, they're both consumer products!
If you rely on your phone and it's calendar--don't buy this first generation phone! Wait until they fix it....you'll be much happier! I don't know why apple doesn't offer new calendar software already!
I miss my treo calendar for sure. I paid $599 for mine-but I'd want a good calendar even for $399!
