There is no way around the activation lock. You apparently decided to use the phone with someone else's ID set up for an iCloud (and find my iPhone) account before updating. Since Find My iPhone was active, updating to iOS 7 has automatically turned on the activation lock. If you do not have the Apple ID and password that were previously used, then the phone is now useless. You can't activate it without that informaion.
Talk to whoever you bought the phone from if you can. If you can't, buy a new phone.

If you have a backup of the old phone that backup contains camera roll photos. Restore from that backup to get your camera roll photos back

okay from reading posts it seems if I transfer my backed up info from my old comp to the new one and erase my dad's phone's back up i could reset my phone and it would transfer all my old data back onto the phone, be linked to the new computer and i could proceed. I stated that I did try to do all of this when I first set up the new computer...I did do the Setup Assistant numerous times but my old computer kept freezing half way through. Even if I did it when I first got the new computer back in Septemeber, I would have had the same issue b/c my old computer has been 'broken' for a while. My old computer can't handle doing too much at once and I think the setup and then migration functions I tried were too much. That's why I was hoping I could use the migration function piecemeal. I wish I could just check off the exact files and folders I want vs. having to choose it at the 'user' level...that's too much for my old computer to have to transfer.

The answer is here - about a million times over - and it's not a Lightroom problem. It's actually a Mac OS issue. You need to fix the write permissions on the destination folder for the import.

To change to iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID then sign in with the new ID. If you don't know the password for the old ID, and if the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I want to buy a new TV from BestBuy for my parents. I wonder if BesBuy can pick up the old TV away for recycle when they deliver the new TV to my parent's home? If the answer is yes, can anyone tell if I need to following specific instructions since I want to order the new TV online?

You can have the old one recycled for a fee. If you let them know that you want the old one hauled away, they will take it for you, but you have to request it prior to delivery.

If you are completely confident that you didn't hide it, then you purchased those with different apple id. If you completely confident that you purchases with same apple id then you have hidden it. One of the other or you are speaking about a miracle. While miracles are possible they are not very likely. Remember
