Good For Enterprise has problems in opening attachments

Anyone got such a issue from your GOOD users? Seem like a global problem if you search thru the GOOD forum. If the attachments can open they can open well. But if they cannot open, they really cannot open. Either the attachment will seemingly hang for a long time in opening, or there will be an error message with an OK button as below:
Attachment Error:
Cannot download document.ext. Contact your IT administrator if the problem persists. [OK]
This happens even on the latest GFE Client version for Android 3.0.0.415.
This issue been reported since few years back but until now no confirmed solution from GOOD it seems. Anyone has any proven solutions to share?

YIKES!!!!!
I have been trying to get Good for Enterprise to work on my Thundebolt, but during the installation I received a pop up that said my data plan was not compatible. I read the thread above and thought this would be an easy solution, but when I called Verizon they told me I would now have to upgrade my data data plan at an additional cost of $15 per month!
I told the customer service person that I have Good on my AT&T iPhone now (with no additional charge) and had it on my Sprint EVO4G (with no additional charge), but she was insistent I would have to pay an additional $15 per month.
I'll likely return the phone, as paying an additional $15 per month for the "privilege" of getting work e-mails on my personal phone is a little maddening!

I am using Good For Enterprise on my Iphone 4s to connect with my Office PC Outlook email system. I am having trouble synching my Itunes music from my Mac at home with my IPhone 4s. I am considering using ICloud to share the music as I also have an IPad2. When I go to turn on the ICloud application, I get a message that alerts me to the fact I will no longer be able to synch with my computer. I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

You can use these steps to troubleshoot your iPhone if it's powering off unexpectedly:

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

Iphone 4 - Good for Enterprise - Notifications

I am having an issue with receiving Notifications on my iPhone from my work e-mail (Good for Enterprise). I have a Corporate E-Mail plan from Verizon and Push Notifications are turned on in Settings on my iPhone. However, I am not notified when I receive email or for Calendar reminders unless I open the Good application. Any suggestions?

Adding to what was stated, perhaps you could try powering off your device to see if doing a soft reset would help the reminder email notifications to come through to your phone. Even though you have the push function enable, the opening of Good for Enterprise refreshes the connection to your email server allowing new e-mail to be sent to the device. You don't need to start a new thread - you just use the 'Reply' button at bottom right of the answering post. Anyway as you're here...
You should start by going to System Preferences (or is it called Settings in ML?)>iCloud and clicking the Sign Out button. Then sign back in again. Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you do this (but not from the server) - it will reappear when you sign back in. Alternatively if the message identifies an account which is signed in at System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars you should log out and in there.

Issues with Good for Enterprise Server

I just bought a new HTC Incredible and have connected it to my companies exchange systems through a Good for Enterprise server. I have added it two times so far and each time mail works for a few hours and then it stops. The first time I deleted myself from the goodlink server and re-added myself. Which, like I said, made it start working again, but it then stopped after a few hours.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this issue?

Do you have the feature code for Good added to your data plan? Without it you are not supposed to be able to use the Good service.
The feature code is 73666 I think.

I got this new IPhone 4s from the compnay I work, installed Good For Enterprise, syncing emails good. But not able to turn off sound for email notification.
I tried this Good -> Preferences -> Sounds and Notification -> New Email->Playsound off.
But still I get annoying notification sound all the time..

Let's get this fixed for you! I want you to have your email settings just the way you like them! To start off, I want you to know that sometimes, companies have control over the settings on any type of Enterprise Email, so this could be why you are getting the notifications. So, I would like you to get in touch with your IT department, to see if this is the case. I also have some troubleshooting steps for you to try:

Problems with opening attachments sent from Microsoft Outlook

I have been using MacBook Pro and I have had problems with opening files from Microsoft Outlook.
The attachments appear as .dat files (text, images etc..) and I am not able to open them.
Does someone have any experience in solving this type of compatability problems on Mac OS ?

Problem with Opening Attachments in PDFs

I recently upgraded to Word 2007 and Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.3.2. When I attach Excel or Word files within a PDF file, I can no longer double click an attachment to open it. I receive an error message that states my administrative security settings don't allow me to open attachments. I can't change the security settings (they are grayed out). Does anyone have a solution? You need to change the preferences in the Trust Manager.

Upgraded to Exchange 2007 - Problems with opening attachments in e-mail Treo700wx

We upgraded our server at work to Exchange 2007. Ever since then, there have been multiple problems, on of which I am not able to open pdf files, excel or word files on my handheld 700wx. Anyone else have this problem. Talked with Verizon, they suggested downloading a new version of the pdf viewer. That didn't work. Looking for any suggestions.

Problem while Opening Attachments in UWL

Hello all,
When we try to open an attached documents from UWL we get the following error "<b>Error triggering default method for object ArchiveLink image .</b>."
But the same attachment opens from the backend (workflow inbox) without any problem.
Can someone help?

Are their any error messages in the log file for UWL for that specific user?
You can get the Uwl log file from the following place:
The UWL log files located in the following directory:
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<InstanceNumber>/j2ee/cluster/server<
number>/log/applications/sap.com/uwl
2. You can also bump up the logging level (not sure what the version is) and have the user try to open the task. The log should then report an issue with this user/task.

Problems with opening attachments

Received a 14 page attachment to an email. Playbook Adobe reader only showed first page although it indicated there were 14 pages. ( No problem with reading document on my computer.)
Logging on to my Bank via internet I have been unable to open messages. This was not an issue last week. Now I get a message " file exists Rename this file or press save to replace existing file" Then I get a blank screen. All I am trying to do is open and read the message in my browser..

Partially solved the Adobe reader issue. If I simultaneously swipe down from the top and up from the bottom I get to a bar which advances the pages. I have to do this for each page as the bar keeps disappearing. Must be an easier method.
