Good li-ion (dis-)charging practices for iPhone?

Hi There. I've been reading up on the best way to prolong the Li-ion batteries lifespan for my new iPhone 4. Any suggestions due to good experience for best practice is welcome.
In addition, after some reading and confusion, there are two questions I already have. Which do not necessarily dictate the direction of the main question. Because these are heavily subject to different opions.
*For my iPhone4, what is a good partial discharge percentage before charging to prolong it's battery lifespan?
*Second, is it possible to condition li-ion batteries. Say, fully discharging the battery the first time you get your iPhone4, than after that apply the method of never fully discharging before charging. Will this condition the battery, as it is new and fresh, to be able take more stress afterwards?

You can recharge li-ion batteries whenever convenient. There is no "good" time.
Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

Texasgirl97: You do not need a car charger "with a Lightning connector on it". Car chargers have a USB port; all you have to do is use the cable that came with your iPhone 5, which has a USB connector on one end (plug it into the car charger) and a Lightning connector on the other end (plug it into the iPhone 5). Car chargers are cheap, much less than $50 or even $30. I've seen some advertised for around $10. Some even have two USB ports. Extra cables are becoming available now at around $10. Search Amazon.com or other on-line vendors.

I've seen that the iPhone charger will charge the iPad much slower, and the iPhone will only charge at the speed it knows to. As you've been told, take the iPad charger. It's 10 watts. No possible harm. The difference is in capability. The actual delivered power is controlled by the receiving device.

Best Practices for iPhone 6 Trade-In Promotion?

I want to trade in an old iPhone 4 for this iPhone 6 trade-in promotion which would (in theory) net me a $200 gift card (or bill credit) as long as I purchase a new iPhone 6.

I went to the nearby corporate store, iPhone 4 in hand, and ready to trade in and order the iPhone 6. As we know the 6 is on back order. The solution specialist told me go ahead and place the order and after that I could request an envelope and once my 6 arrives I have 7 days to send the old phone and 6-8 weeks later I would get the $200 gift card. I asked if I could go ahead and process the trade-in in store and he said "no" since they were on back order I can't process the trade-in until I activate the 6, which completes the transaction. He did say that if I receive my new iPhone 6 before 10/15 I could bring the new phone in for activation and they could process the trade-in at that time and issue me an instant credit.
Problem is I don't want to send my phone off in some envelope...to Verizon. Are you kidding me? Search this forum for "trade-in" and you will see all the people who thought they were in for a $200 gift card but were surprised to receive a different amount for some reason...wont turn on, find my iPhone not disabled, water damage, etc. Trouble is, you DO NOT get your phone back, per the offer's fine print.
So here I am waiting for my new iPhone 6 to ship, but I don't even have a tracking number yet and the "Will Ship By" date on Verizon's website just went from 10/31 to 11/7 for the one I chose. Either way, it won't ship in time for me to get to the store by 10/15 to process trade-in onsite and receive the instant credit.
I will not be sending my trade-in phone in an envelope to Verizon. Not now, not never.

Not sure what "being kept" means. If it means it was new in the box and not used for a year then the battery is probably near dead as lithium ion batteries need excercise (a full charge cycle per month). If this is what you mean she will need to put a new battery in it.

The Mophie Air is a good battery case, but doesn't offer the protection she's looking for. I suggest sticking to the Lifeproof, the iPhone has a very good battery (2-3 days moderate usage for me).
To your 2nd to last paragraph, that is false. Verizon is allowing exisiting customers to keep Unlimited Data - but will lose it once they use a subsidized upgrade. So if you buy a 4S (or LTE device for example) outright, you will keep unlimited data. Mobile hotspot may use up a bit of data, but it is a separate add-on/feature. The new Family Share plans may change that, so it's one giant center of data all devices use.

Recently I bought iPhone from USA, it came with american wall charger, it seems to me it's not original. I live in Europe and want to get a replacement, but I can't find original one for reasonable price. My question - can I use non-original charger for iPhone or charger for another phone, for instance htc tc-e250? Is it safe, won't it harm my phone? What model to choose? What's cheapest good charger?
I know I'm far not first to ask this question, but I could not find good answer. Please, Geniuses, answer me!)

My phone has been giving me a lot of trouble today and I've been looking all over for tips and tricks, but so far, nothing has helped.
It's an iPhone 4. One of my apps was being glitchy after a recent update, so I decided to delete it and reinstall it. When that didn't solve the issue, I decided to shut my phone off and turn it on again to see if it made a difference. Since then, it's been stuck in a loop. At first, it was stuck on the Apple logo. I managed to get it into recovery mode and connected it to iTunes, but only got as far as the "Waiting For iPhone" message.
After several attempts to get it to recover, it no longer responds to the charge chord. Pressing and holding the top and home buttons only gives me the Connect To iTunes image and when I reconnect it to my computer, ... nothing.
What should I do? Is my phone lost for good? If I take it to the Apple Store in another city, is there anything they can do, or am I out of luck because I'm out of warranty?

The message that you're getting about the USB port is Windows rather than the Shuffle, ignore this as it will all work anyway.
How were you formatting the iPod shuffle? Using Windows? If this is the case I'd assume that was probably a bad choice that Windows asked you to make.
In any case I would download the latest iPod updater from http://www.apple.com/uk/ipod/download/ - open this and then plug your iPod into your computer - update the firmware and then everything hopefully should be sorted

Apple does not fix the iPhone 4S, they replace the phone. If not covered by warranty, called an out of warranty exchange. Cost is US $199. Make an appointment at any Apple store.
Be aware, Apple does not sell iPhone parts, thus there is no legitimate source for genuine parts.
