I read online that some mac products in 2011 were put on the market defective , you can get a warranty extension or even a replacement mac?

Try these basic troubleshooting steps.
Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or .... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
For Safari ..... Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

When searching the web, I do not have a forward or back arrow on my tool bar. I understand from a friend, who also has Mozilla/firefox, has the same problem. He said that it is available on earlier versions???

I was wondering if I deleted Mozilla, and downloaded it again, if this would clear up my problem?? or would I still have the same problem? It is hard for me to believe that your program would not have this feature.

You can go back more than one page in history if it exists by clicking it again.
If you mean the History drop down menu, then either left-click and hold or right-click them.

I have my mac on 'Highest Performance' and it is set never to sleep.. If I leave it and dont touch it for about 5 to 10 minuets, when I come back to it and move the mouse to do something, it shows me the beach ball for a while and I can hear the macs hard drive firing up.. Is this normal.. I had the same problem with the last G5 Quad I had also..

I think you are on it. You could try disconnecting the external devices and see if that mitigates the problem. I am not familiar with the specific hardware associated with your device, but it might be that it must do some checks when it wakes from some dormant state, and that might cause the beachball.
Does that device have hard drives? Maybe it waits for those to spin up. My MOTU device has no hard drives but does cause weird things to occur if I leave it plugged in and on while doing other than audio work.
If you haven't already check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any updated drivers and/or notes regarding this specific problem.
If you have the problem with all firewire and USB devices except the keyboard and mouse plugged in that would point towards a specific device and/or bus.

Has anyone else had the same problem with SYSMAN password resetting?

I am a Oracle Support Administrator and have posted a SR with Metalink and just wanted to ask the community if they have had any of the same problems.
I am remotely accessing a customers Grid Control via VMWare software and over the past couple of weeks I have been trying to access GC with the Sysman user. The password seems to be either resetting itself or there is a bug in the system. I have checked to see if there is a expiration script running or something similar with no result. It is definitely being altered somehow at the Grid Con end of things. I checked to see if it was resetting in the emon.properties file in the oracle home, this was not the case. So am really stuck.
I have to change the password via SQL+ for it to come back online.
Any ideas or suggestions would be grateful .

The SYSMAN account is the default super user account used to set up and administer Enterprise Manager. It is also the database account that owns the objects stored in the Oracle Management Repository. From this account, you can set up additional administrator accounts and set up Enterprise Manager for use in your organization.
The SYSMAN account is created automatically in the Management Repository database during the Enterprise Manager installation. You also provide a password for the SYSMAN account during the installation.

Hi There,
I have had the exact same issue but with a projector.
The issue lies with Mountian Lion 10.8.2.
I tried many a combination with no luck to get HDMI working.
Took my mac into the apple store and came to the conclusion it was the software, so I asked them to install 10.8 onto it (this is destructive so a backup is a must)
Bought my macbook home and voila, now displaying through my projector.
There is a small graphics update after 10.8.1 which seems to be the cause.

Applications should not disappear all by themselves.
If they are then that coud indicate serious problems with your hard drive.
Backup everything up as quickly as possible.
Using Disk Utility verify your system disk.

Umm,, no offence... but what is ridiculous... is you didn't troubleshoot the original problem but instead you assumed it was a LP9 problem so you updated to LPX which is still in its early days and is likely to be less stable than LP9... rather than more so!
So.. Here's the thing....
LP9 was working fine and then stopped working normally according to you. Therefore what changed at the time LP9 stopped working normally?
Here are just a few ideas to think about.. for around the time this started..
Did you update Logic Pro 9... OS X... Drivers for Midi/Audio or other connected devices?
If you did, did you then restore from a backup you made prior to these problems occuring and what happened when you did so? (assuming you do make backups of your system?)
Did you install any new Apps on your Mac?
Did you add a new Hard Drive? How is it formatted?
Did you start recording or creating music in a different way to how you used to before the problem started?
Have you started using a different SI or FX plugin or plugins.. More or different FX for example.. Did you install a new version of a plugin?
Is all your software legal? (Have to ask because some people install all kinds of illegal plugins and whatever else.. and have no idea how the 'cracks' work or what they might affect/mess up/conflict with in the process)
Have you looked at the System logs to see if anything is happening out of the ordinary when you get these messages?
Have you looked at OS X's Activity monitor to see if any app or routine is kicking in hard when you get this issue?
Basically, you need to think about and look for what changed... because something apparently changed to suddenly cause these issues...given you said you didn't have them until a certain timeframe and some of the questions above, I hope, will get you thinking..
....and maybe a few of the others here will come up with other ideas and suggestions to help you...

A few moths ago, the Superdrive stopped recognizing the disc because of a firmware update released by Apple!! It is not acceptable. Solution?
Apple should give a solution to all these people who spent more than 2500$ in a laptop that has stopped working in less than 3 years!

Yes, it appears the X1600 has more than its fair share of issues. I've seen reports of people reflowing the solder joints on/around the GPU with success, even baking the LB in the oven.
The rest is something you'll have to take up with Apple.

I hate to break this to you, but life isn't fair. If your job is that critically in need of a computer, then you should have a spare to use for just this kind of situation or have your employer provide you with a computer to use.
Computers break down, just like cars. If your car breaks down do you curse the car maker or get it fixed? Surely, you paid more for your car than the computer.

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.

If you want to work with Mac OS X, you need one computer per simultaneous user.
What you are describing, " Multiple simultaneous logins to a single computer" is not avialable on a regular Mac of any description, unless you decide to use Unix tools instead of Mac OS X.
Server will happily store files for many, many users and provide them to multiple (up to hundreds) of computers at "near hard Drive" speeds over Gigabit Ethernet. It can make the File Sharing part easy.

Try a different port on the computer.
Does the iphone beep when u plug it up. ?
Plug iphone into computer and give it 3 to 4 minutes to see if it connects and is running slow.,
Delete the apple mobile device from your computer.
Upgrade itunes to newest version.
Is you USB cord defective ?
Any USB 3.0 on your system ? .
Delete or Disable any antivirus program on your computer ?
I will tell u the problem is your computer not the phone.
We could do this for hours.
