The posted link also appears to be bogus I am at my wits end here. Have other users experiences this issue? Is this a clever intrusion?

How big is your HD? How much free space on it?
You delete photos from iPhoto via the iPhoto Window.

I have 1600 songs in my itunes account that I want to put on my nano 8GB - the guy in the store assured me that they would all fit in fact he said that 2000 would fit. However when I tried to download them I got a message saying that there was not enough

Can I compress my songs in itunes - currently my 1600 songs are taking up 14 GB of room - I was told that the nano 8 GB could hold up to 2000 songs - is there a reason that my 1600 are taking up so much space. Someone suggested removing the album covers - is there a was to compress the songs I have out there.

1600 songs... it depends the individual size of each track. Not all tracks take up the same storage space.
If you want to have all 1600 tracks on one iPod, you need a larger iPod.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to your iTunes and click on the Tones folder on the left under library. Some of my ring tones had an exclamation mark next to it and those were the ones that did not sync. You have to click on those and find it in your computer. Once the exclamation mark is gone, go to Tones section of your device in iTunes, make sure you select the tones you want synced, and click apply. I hope that helps you!
