Good Morning. I'm having a problem using both my Photoshop elements and premiere programs. I've installed the programs, redeemed my code and entered the serial numbers, and created the adobe log-in. I am able to open up the organizer without problems, but when I try to open up the photo editor (either by trying to open up the program from the main menu, or right-clicking on a photo in the organizer to edit in elements), the program asks me to sign in to adobe (which I can do and it doesn't give an an "incorrect password" or log-in ID error) then accept the terms and conditions. When I click to accept the terms and conditions, nothing happens and the editor fails to open. Everytime I click on the program, I get this same "loop" of signing in and accepting T&C's, but the program fails to open. Any advice?
Premiere Elements 10 is now 64 bit, but not PSE10.
Take a look at your scratch disk set-up and if you have a spare volume, allocate that first before the C drive. Elements use scratch disks when it gets low on RAM.

Turn off face recognition and the auto-analyzer to improve performance.
When editing photos or videos check the task manager to see what background processes may be running and end them temporarily if not needed.

Thank you, Barbara. All fonts seemed fine, no empty or duplicates. When I went back to Elements and tried again, it did not crash! After months of not being able to use type tool,,, not sure why it worked, but it did. Thanks again! I appreciate the time you took to answer my question.

I am using Photoshop Elements 11. Do all .jpg formatted file have to be retangular in shape? I want to create an oval .jpg picture to insert into a book. Haven't been able to do so. It would work if I could make the area outside the oval completely transparent. Can anyone help me here?
JPG does not support transparency, so even if you create an oval with transparent background, the saved JPG will have white background. Instead, save it as a PNG, TIFF, or GIF which preserve the transparency.
Here is one of many ways to create your oval:
Create a new file the approximate size of the oval. Add the oval with the Custom Shape Ellipse tool, and simplify the shape layer.
In the Layers Palette, Ctrl-click the oval to select it and copy the selection to the clipboard (Edit > Copy).
Then do File > New from Clipboard. This creates the oval with transparent background cropped to the oval size.
Then save it as one of the file types that support transparency (and also supported by the application where you are sending the picture to).
Note: Is is not even necessary to do step 2. That is only if some reason you want the oval to be tightly cropped. It is sufficient to delete the Background layer in step 1 (or turn off its visibility) and save the file. The oval will appear correctly in the book with either version. -
i have updated my ipad yestarday sicne then i am not able to open any application on my ipad2. some of the application able to open in the page and not able to open all the applications in the second page. Does any one got this type of issue? any suggestions?
This problem has been reported a few times. The solution is to install any new App say a free one. This seems to fix whatever has gone wrong.

We live in NW England, has anyone else had similar problems and any suggestions how we can resolve our problem?
Have you tried another browser (chrome, firefox, and checked your router for blocked websites?) and also quit Safari and reopened? Also reset your cookies (Safari > Preferences... > Privacy ), or reset Safari (Safari > Reset..), or Empty Cache (Safari > Empty).

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

My assistant and I are using two Lightrooms (i.e. two serial numbers) and need to share between our two computers. I provide originals to her onto a flash drive. She tags them and returns them to me. I then copy the photos from her flash drive onto my computer and load them in my LR. The photos appear but witthout any editing or tagging. We need to be able to have her working on the photos on her computer with her copy of LR and me on my computer with my version of LR being able to access what is already tagged and given back to me. This seems hard. We need advice on if it is at all possible to have two computers simultaneously working on LR . I bought her her own version because I was told at the time of purchasing that that was the only way to share. Please advise urgently! Thanks.
Sounds like your assistant isn't instructing Lightroom to write the tagging and editing to the files themselves, so wehn the files return to you, they don't have editing and tagging information. She need to select the photos in Lightroom and then Ctrl-S (Cmd-S on Mac). Or alternatively turn on the option to autmoatically write this information to the files.
If you are using RAW photos, then this information will be written to a sidecar XMP file, and your assistant must provide you with the sidecar file. If these photos are not RAW photos, then the information is written directly into the photo file itself.
Lightroom wasn't designed to be a multi-user program, and so it is truly not possible to have two people working on the same catalog at once. The way you are doing things, as modified above, is probably the way to go.
As an alternative, you can transfer (portions of) catalogs as well as photos back and forth and then all of these issues disappear, but a catalog might be rather large for a flash drive (or maybe not, it depends) -
There was some updayts for my iPad 4 automatically downloaded. After installing it, the iPad began to restart itself every few minutes.
I tryed to update my iPad using iTunes. After connecting to MacBook Pro, where is installed all latest software, iPad is recognised as "iPad", Serial Number: n/a. iTunes run recovery mode, trying to restore iPad firmware, and in the end unknown error occured (3). Tried many times, not results. And now iPad stays only in recovery mode, can't switch it off. How can I solve this problem please?When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

Help required with Photoshop Elements 4.0 this has been installed on my new Toshiba laptop with windows 8.1 for some 18 months and operating well. Now it will not open, message pops up saying “attempt to access invalid address” then “application not responding” Suggestions how to access would be much appreciated. Tks. Stuart
What is the size of your hard disk? PSE 4 is a very old program and I suspect it is not able to access the entire hard disk on your machine. Just a thought here.

Problem with Photomerge Exposure, Photoshop Elements 13?. Why does Photomerge Exposure not give me a finished DONE photo. If I open 2 photos, it will merge then, and when I press DONE I get a new photo file that I can save. However, if I open 3 photos, and go through the same process, the software analyzes the photos, I get a new image, BUT when I press DONE, the new image vanishes???? I can open the same 3 photos in Elements 8 and it works fine. any ideas please.
I, too, am having problems in version 11 with Photomerge Exposure. I can merge the 3 photos successfully with version 10. In version 11 when I click done, I am taken back to the Expert mode of the Editor but the merged photo in the photo bin is not accessible. When I first return to the editor, one of the original images (before merge) is selected. When I double/click on the merged photo it doesn't become the active image. In fact, any image I double click on momentarily becomes the active image and then jumps to another one.
The merged photo is visible in the photo bin but I can't select it.
I am running version 11 on my MacBook running OS 10.6.8

Purchased software download card for Adobe photoshopelements13 and adobepremiereelements13 at my campus bookstore on Friday morning Oct 31. Went through the process of entering product/serial numbers etc. and became "verified". Downloaded the product (~2 hours in time), the proceeded to install. At this - THIS point I was "told" I needed the 64 bit version (I have a 64 bit Lenovo T431s laptop). My patience wearing thin... I returned to the Adobe site from which I had done everything to this point. NOTHING with regard to a choice of 32 or 64 bit! Looked closely at the info that came with the download card... again, nothing regarding 32 or 64 bit option. Outlined this matter to Identit-e customer service... they said I need to contact Adobe. Adobe site does not make it easy to do that. Anyone have a solution and/or a suggestion?

ever since i forgot my apple id password and changed to a new one, I am continually being asked to enter my iCloud password. It then says that this mac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with "my username". nothing I do in in preferences helps.
You have to sign out completely in System Preference>iCloud (click 'Sign out') on a Mac, or Settings>iCloud on an iOS device (click 'Delete account' - this will not delete the account from the server). Then sign in with the new password.
Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac or device when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in. -
