Good movie app

I am looking for a good app where i can watch movies (full length) and/or TV shows.
i cant get mobi tv cause i have the droid X and it isnt compatitable

If you have videos on your computer that you want to transfer to your phone, check out rockplayer. It plays all formats and I think it's now available in the market. If not, you can find it online.

Unless you want a new computer, forget about AVCHD. It requires too much muscle to edit comfortably on anything but the fastest computer.
What camera is nice, depends on your budget. Formats that are easy to edit are HDV, DVCProHD (P2) and XDCAM. In the consumer range you could look at the Canon HV40 or XH-A1s, in the prosumer range look at the Panasonic AG-HPX170, Canon XH-H1s, JVC GY-ND250 or Sony HVR Z5 or Z7 and all Sony XDCAM cameras, especially the EX1 and EX3. In the professional range look at the Sony PDW-F355 or upward.

  • Whats a good movie making app or program??

looking for a good movie making program for my mac book pro, the Imovie thats already on here is too basic....

You might consider picking up a copy of the older Final Cut Express (discontinued 2011) around $100, otherwise Final Cut Pro X is $299. The pro package used to be $1000. Amazing how the price has dropped.

  • I have been a customer of ITunes and Apple since 2007. Movies, Apps, Music and books  Itunes has been my only source for my media needs.

I have been a customer of ITunes and Apple since 2007. Movies, Apps, Music and books  Itunes has been my only source for my media needs. 397 Apps 759 Songs over 100 Videos 13 books 3 IPhones 2 IPods So here is my problem with ITunes I purchased an App and it is identical to one I have already brought. The App description did not say anything that it would not do what I was trying to do. I wrote sup[port and asked if they could issue a credit. Mari at support wrote back and said he checked with his supervisor and they could not issue a credit.  I told them what a good loyal customer I have been to Itunes and Apple and they still refused.  Granted the App did not cost a lot of money (3.99) but it’s the principle. With customers having options to shop anywhere I would think a business would do whatever it takes to retain the loyal customers they do have Occasionally I rush to buy an App without fully understanding if it meets my needs. According to ITunes support that has occurred nine times. Here is the last reply that I received Roger, I know how frustrating it can be when things don't work the way they should be  and I do apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. I am sorry but we could not be able to grant your request as we have made 9 exceptions on you. For more information on Apple's requirements for using the iTunes Store, please refer to the iTunes Store Terms and Conditions:http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html Again, I am hoping for your kind understanding regarding this matter. Sincerely Mari iTunes Store/Mac App Store Advisor

"The App description did not say anything that it would not do what I was trying to do."
You've already had 9 refunds? You understand that apps are sold on a non-return policy, presumably. You bought an app that didn't claim to do something that you wanted from it, and now that you've found that it doesn't, you want your money back.
Perhaps you've failed to explain your point properly but I can't see why you expect any sympathy from users here, not that it would make any difference. Only the store staff can issue refunds if they think appropriate. Chalk it up to experience. You could even contact the developer in advance of a purchase if you want to be certain an app does what you want. Then if it really fails to live up to the promise you would at least have a better argument for a refund.

my iPod touch needs to be restored. however, all of my movies/apps/songs/photos are not backed up on my computer because the shop on my computer does not work. can i still get the memory on my iPod touch 32gb back?

If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
    Good luck.

  • What are good maintenance apps for Mac mini

What is a good free app for the Mac mini for maintenance?

    How to maintain a Mac
    1. Make two or more backups of all your files, keeping at least one off site at all times in case of disaster. One backup is not enough to be safe. Don’t back up your backups; all should be made directly from the original data. Don’t rely completely on any single backup method, such as Time Machine. If you get an indication that a backup has failed, don't ignore it.
    2. Keep your software up to date. In the App Store or Software Update preference pane (depending on the OS version), you can configure automatic notifications of updates to OS X and other Mac App Store products. Some third-party applications from other sources have a similar feature, if you don’t mind letting them phone home. Otherwise you have to check yourself on a regular basis.
Keeping up to date is especially important for complex software that modifies the operating system, such as device drivers. Don't install such modifications unless they're absolutely necessary. Remove them when they are no longer needed. Before installing any Apple update, you must check that all system modifications that you use are compatible. Incompatibility with third-party software is by far the most common cause of problems with system updates.
    3. Don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” "boosters," “extenders,” “cleaners,” "doctors," "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, such stuff is useless or worse than useless. Above all, avoid any software that purports to change the look and feel of the user interface.
It's not much of an exaggeration to say that the whole "utility" software industry for the Mac is a fraud on consumers. The most extreme examples are the "CleanMyMac," "TuneUpMyMac," and “MacKeeper” scams, but there are many others.
As a rule, you should avoid software that changes the way other software works. Plugins for Photoshop and similar programs are an obvious exception to this rule. Safari extensions, and perhaps the equivalent for other web browsers, are a partial exception. Most are safe, and they're easy to get rid of if they don't work. Some may cause the browser to crash or otherwise malfunction. Some are malicious. Use with caution, and install only well-known extensions from relatively trustworthy sources, such as the Safari Extensions Gallery.
Only install software that is useful to you, not (as you imagine) to the computer. For example, a word processor is useful for writing. A video editor is useful for making movies. A game is useful for fun. But a "cache cleaner" isn't useful for anything. Cleaning caches is not an end in itself.
Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it. Otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve. Do not rely on "utilities" such as "AppCleaner" and the like that purport to remove software.
    4. Don't install bad, conflicting, or unnecessary fonts. Whenever you install new fonts, use the validation feature of the built-in Font Book application to make sure the fonts aren't defective and don't conflict with each other or with others that you already have. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. Deactivate or remove fonts that you don't really need to speed up application launching.
    5. Avoid malware. Malware is malicious software that circulates on the Internet. This kind of attack on OS X was once so rare that it was hardly a concern, but malware is now increasingly common, and increasingly dangerous.
There is some built-in protection against malware, but you can’t rely on it—the attackers are always at least one day ahead of the defense. You can’t rely on third-party protection either. What you can rely on is common-sense awareness—not paranoia, which only makes you more vulnerable.
Never install software from an untrustworthy or unknown source. If in doubt, do some research. Any website that prompts you to install a “codec” or “plugin” that comes from the same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy. Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must come directly from the developer's website. No intermediary is acceptable, and don’t trust links unless you know how to parse them. Any file that is automatically downloaded from the web, without your having requested it, should go straight into the Trash. A web page that tells you that your computer has a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with it, is a scam.
In OS X 10.7.5 or later, downloaded applications and Installer packages that have not been digitally signed by a developer registered with Apple are blocked from loading by default. The block can be overridden, but think carefully before you do so.
Because of recurring security issues in Java, it’s best to disable it in your web browsers, if it’s installed. Few websites have Java content nowadays, so you won’t be missing much. This action is mandatory if you’re running any version of OS X older than 10.6.8 with the latest Java update. Note: Java has nothing to do with JavaScript, despite the similar names. Don't install Java unless you're sure you need it. Most people don't.
    6. Don't fill up your disk/SSD. A common mistake is adding more and more large files to your home folder until you start to get warnings that you're out of space, which may be followed in short order by a startup failure. This is more prone to happen on the newer Macs that come with an internal SSD instead of the traditional hard drive. The drive can be very nearly full before you become aware of the problem.
While it's not true that you should or must keep any particular percentage of space free, you should monitor your storage use and make sure you're not in immediate danger of using it up. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the startup volume for normal operation.
If storage space is running low, use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the most space. Move seldom-used large files to secondary storage.
    7. Relax, don’t do it. Besides the above, no routine maintenance is necessary or beneficial for the vast majority of users; specifically not “cleaning caches,” “zapping the PRAM,” "resetting the SMC," “rebuilding the directory,” "defragmenting the drive," “running periodic scripts,” “dumping logs,” "deleting temp files," “scanning for viruses,” "purging memory," "checking for bad blocks," "testing the hardware," or “repairing permissions.” Such measures are either completely pointless or are useful only for solving problems, not for prevention.
To use a Mac effectively, you have to free yourself from the Windows mindset that every computer needs regular downtime maintenance such as "defragging" and "registry cleaning." Those concepts do not apply to the Mac platform.
A well-designed computing device is not something you should have to think about much. It should be an almost transparent medium through which you communicate, work, and play. If you want a machine that needs a lot of attention, use a PC.
The very height of futility is running an expensive third-party application called “Disk Warrior” when nothing is wrong, or even when something is wrong and you have backups, which you must have. Disk Warrior is a data-salvage tool, not a maintenance tool, and you will never need it if your backups are adequate. Don’t waste money on it or anything like it.

  • What is a good gps app for ipad2 ?

What is a good gps app for ipad2?

Good for what?  That would depend on what you want to use it for.  Also, it would depend on whether you have a 3G unit.  Without 3G to stream maps, the GPS would be mostly worthless for on-the-move navigation.
Even with 3G, it would be real easy to blow right past the 256MB plan and even the 2GB plan while out and about.

  • New Goods Movement Type for Inventory Manager

    Hi Guys,
I need to change a goods movement code used on Mobile App Inventory Manager 4.0 to a custom (Z) goods movement code, the fileds are the same so I thought changing the constant will work for this as we do a GoodReceipt with no reference to Purchase nor Production order (gmCode = 501) with a custom, copied from standard, Movement type gmCode = 950 (this is a well known practice on ERP). I have changed only the global constant on my copied IM application, for testing purpose and the local GR was created with gmCode = 950 instead of gmCode = 501, but when I was transmiting in order to create goods movement document on SAP, the application throws an error like: "PostReceiptsSteplet - Goods Movement Impossible with good movement type 950 - Server error". So I would like to know first:
If is it possible to include or change the standard gmCode for custom gmCode on mobile app Inventory Manager 4.0?
What would it be the Best Practice to do this? The steps to include a custom movement type, now I know is not only changes on global constants
I have checked the java doc for this method "PostReceiptsSteplet", and it did not say anything about the constructor .... or how is used... what has inside... what is the condition of execution.... nothing ...

If those java source code are so troublesome to request... why should I request them if I won't change the app's base functionality??. Instead of requesting those java source code, the documentation of the java doc should improve, well the documentation in general for this app should improve ... Is only a suggestion ... I'm trying very hard not to ask for those source code, because what Mark Pe  answer me on another post: If I ask for them, a disclamer must be signed because I could change a base functionality... and that's perfectly fine. But if I need to extend a class and add a few field: why do I need to ask for the code instead of checking the documentation and apply the customization needed?
Now I have some trouble extending a SAPOBJECT, because I don't quite understand the design of how you manage MaterialDocument / MaterialDocumentItem on the app. But I will post this question on another thread

  • HT1766 On an iPhone 5, Is there an easy way to move app icons as a group? instead of one by one?

On an iPhone 5, Is there an easy way to move app icons as a group? instead of one by one?

If you have a bunch of apps on one screen yunwantnto move to another as a group, create a folder by holding your finger on ne app until all the icons start shaking and show and "x" in the top left corner of the icon. Press again and don't lift your finger; move that icon with your finger over one of the other icons you want to add to the folder, which will create a folder. Then you can move the other apps you want to move into that folder. When you have all the apps you want to move into that folder, close the folder by tapping on the screen outside the folder. The icons should still be shaking. Then press on the folder you want to move and slide it to the edge of the screen, left or right, until the folder moves to the next screen. Once you get it to the screen of choice, you can leave the apps in that folder or move them out by the same process. When you are done moving things around, press the Home button and the icons will stop shaking. Now they will stay put.
Alternatively,my can sync your device with iTunes and move the icons around in the Apps windows in iTunes, then re-sync your device after you're finished. That will rearrange your icons on the device.
    Good luck!

  • Goods movement in MAM

Hi experts! Just a simple question, does the MAM app make goods movement similar to what MB01 transaction does? Points wil be given! Thanks!

    Hi Fede,
In MAM Application scope, when in a Service order , material is confirmed, Goods movement happens when the Service order is synchronized to the R/3.Similarly, when a service order is created via the mobile device, the Material can be consumed from the consignment stock and when the order is confirmed and synchronized with the R/3,Goods movement happens.
Can you please clarify, whether you want to know in general goods movement is possible with MAM or you want to know specific goods movement which happens in MB01 transaction?
    Warm Regards

  • Outbound IDOC- Goods movement

    Dear Experts,
We have requirement to trigger idoc for MB1B, MB1C, MB0A, MB01, MIGO where we have
to create IDOC on goods movement on all these transaction.
We have found standard IDOC "WMMBID01" for goods movement. But we are struggling
assign with output type on transaction basis.
Is the same IDOC will use for all "MB1B, MB1C, MB0A, MB01, MIGO" transaction?????
How we can define output type for all these transction?
Is standard IDOC "WMMBID01" will use for all these transaction or different IDOC will use
    for diffenet transaction?
    Looking forward your valuable guidance...
Will be thankfull to you all...
    Regards,
This question is in general several times repeated in your different threads, hence I am locking this one
Edited by: Jürgen L. on Dec 20, 2011 2:15 PM

Thanks John. Even if I use an output type to trigger IDOC, do I still need to code to populate segments?
BTW, I tried creating an output type but did not create any IDOCS. Steps I did are:
1> Create a new output type Z001 with proc. program as RSNASTED and form as EDI_PROCESSING.
2> Create an OUTBOUND partner profile for LS type and use WMMBXY message type. I am using an XML port to create a IDOC file and NOT use another SAP system to txfr the IDOC, so it creates IDOC as a flat file on app server.
3> I then do MB1C with 'print' checked and post a 501 mvt type.
BUT NO IDOC IS created? What am I missing here?
I suspect improper creation of output type, I did play with it trying diff. options but nothing seems to work!
Let me know if I am doing something grossly wrong here!
    Thanks and appreciate ur help!

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Good Move or Bad??

Any insight on what you think of the Creative Cloud apps?

    Other side of the coin
    Hi Phatgi,
As has been mentioned by the majority of professional creatives (thus NOT Adobe sales people and staff) CC is indeed a good move for the financial future of the CEO, head management and shareholders of Adobe.
For the customer the switch to CC has the following negative results and/or effects for the customer:
1.Your software upgrades automatically, introducing new, potentially production show-stopping, bugs that may/will cause you to lose clients.
    2. Updates are completely up to the discretion of Adobe, and since they already have your monthly upkeep, their motivation to provide timely and quality product updates has been lowered. For example, Photoshop CC introduced a serious workflow bug (hidden layers will be selected by the move tool) that is still unresolved. Flash CC removed essential animation features. Premiere CC introduced some show-stopping "features". And so on. Congrats! You became their new beta testers.
    3. The pricing structure is simple: you pay, and you get to play. You do not own the software. No perpetual licenses. It is up to Adobe's goodwill to allow you access to their tools. You cannot use the software unless you pay the upkeep. Should you forget about that expiry date on the credit card, your deadline is forfeit, and you lose your client. This has already happened to customers.
    4. Cloud-based services check your uploaded content for "bad" things, like unlicensed and unlawful use according to Adobe rules. This is done automatically, and we may block your access to this content, even though it is YOUR content. Then you will have to prove it is yours. You may lose the freedom to use content as you want. Your content is watched by Adobe at all times.
    5. Many free and other commercial desktop applications exist already, outside the "Adobe Cloud" that allowyou to build and publish websites, mobile apps, iPad publications, and content for any medium or device without the "Adobe Cloud". Most, if not all, of these alternatives are superior to the "Adobe Cloud".
    5. The previous simple perpetual license options gave you and your team access to the very latest versions of all the Adobe professional creative desktop applications like Photoshop®, Illustrator®, and also give you a choice which applications you would actually NEED at a reduced price. You could pay just for one license of InDesign for your entire team installable on one machine, and two licenses of the Adobe Web production suite. This would have saved you and your company a lot of money. Adobe took away that choice from you. Simpler? Yes, perhaps. But they also took away our freedom of choice.
    7. There is no exit strategy. Once you stop paying, you cannot access your files
    Adobe holds your content hostage.
    8. You cannot pay once for a version, and keep using it, even if you decide that version's features are all you will ever need for your work. You have no choice in this matter. (CS6 will be binned sooner or later, and only a subscription option will then be available).
At present these above features are very depressing. There are more new features yet to to be rolled out to consolidate control over you the Adobe customer. All your bases are belong to us.

    Regards
Herbert (A creative professional of Adobe software since Photoshop V3, and who has quit using all Adobe software earlier this year, and now works with alternative software he actually owns and has control over.)
