Good old days PS icon

For anybody nostalgic for the good old PS eye, here's the classic eye icon circa PS 5, ready to be used (on Windows machines anyway, not sure about Mac). It's actually not that easy to find. I've had it hanging around for years.

Interesting, but this is the Lightroom Forum, not Photoshop, per se! Not exactly the correct forum for this!

  • Reports 10g vs the good old days

Having been running reports from forms since the good/old client-server days, reports 10g is both a blessing and a curse. While it's certainly nice not to have to install software on each and every client box, since reports are now kept in cache on the middle tier app server until the cache hits its max size limitation, other users can issue a ?getjobid=nnn and just fish around for reports that others have run. In the good old days, a user would run a report locally on their desktop, that could be printed, and no one else could look at it. Does anyone out there know how or if a report run on the app server can be run just for the user who has access to it, and not be available to anyone who is "fishing" with getjobid? I'd really like to specify, if I could that the report be cached for just a few minutes. Essentially most of our users generate reports only needed by them and they are very dynamic in nature, so storing them isn't really necessary. Any ideas out there?
    Thanks in advance.

Use the EXPIRATION parameter to specify how long a report is kept in the cache. See the online help.

  • Reconciliation Report - those good old days...

In Oracle Designer/2000 Release 1.1 we had a very good utility, namely to make a Reconciliation Report, that contained all objects in the Designer Repository AND (!!!) in the database. So I was able to find out, which objects I don't have in my Repository, and vice versa(!). I'm looking for this feature in Release 6 - instead of the automatic Renconcile Report, by generating database generation.

  • Remember the good old days (power book)

got one of these new mac book pros had to change coz apple couldn't fix my g4. (took 4 weeks for apple to decide they couldn't fix it!) Then they give me a computer that is noisy, doesn't run my software properly anymore, wont play some avi files, won't eject cd's or dvds and is possibly going to send me to an institutuion because of the high pitch whine it constantly makes.
Please advise whether you think I should take it back and be without a computer for 4 more weeks while my phone calls get sent back and forth through a call center in india. Or consider joining the "dark side" which is starting to look alot brighter.

There are good MBPs out there - I have one. If mine had arrived doing what yours is doing I would be screaming at some one about 'consumer rights' and 'fit for purpose', and getting a new one. Don't know how it works where you are and with your retailer, but in the UK, buying mail order (unseen) gives you a no-questions-asked cooling off period and in any retail situation, if the product is not 'free of minor defects' or 'not fit for purpose' you can return it without quibble.
Check out your consumer rights laws - if you quote a few phrases to the manager (organ grinder, not monkey) they get a sense that it's not worth the trouble you might cause.

  • Good Old Reliable BT-Poles

A lot has to to be said for the good old BT-Poles. The one outside my house has stood there for longer than I care to remember.
Through gales, severe snow storms, thunder-storms, torrential rain, heat-waves and the frequent visit from the local dogs
I wish the same could be said about my back yard brick wall.
Today both were hit by (not too hard) by a car which was trying to do a 3-point-turn.
My wall collapsed - albeit in one piece.
And the BT-Pole? It stood there, not even a tremor from it.
They built them good in them days.
. . . it must be remembered that the sea is a great breeder of friendship. Two men who have known each other for twenty years find that twenty days at sea bring them nearer than ever they were before, or else estrange them.

one of my local ones has survived a hit from a truck it bend the traffic light pole but only a small dent in the pole

  • ES Repository vs. our good old Integration repository?

As mentioned in my blog, I am posting a set of questions on ESR in this forum as an interesting way of sharing relevant information with the community. In the true spirit of forums, the one who answers the question is rewarded!
What are the differences between the ES Repository and our good old Integration Repository?

    Hi,
ok let me give it a try - I can list down some of the new features of ESR over the old IR :
    1) ESR has the ARIS for SAP Netweaver integrated where process component models can be developed
    2) We have Business Objects in ESR (which were not present in IR). These BO has CRUD operations called the core services combining which the compound services are modeled
    3) There is no more Message Interfaces but Service Interfaces only
    4) Unlike the Enterprise Services developed using the IR (NW 7.0) now Enterprise Service interfaces developed in ESR can have multiple operations.
    5) ESR has a UDDI registry provided by SAP where the Enterprise Services developed in ESR can be directly published.
    Thanks,
    Dipankar

  • I can't get rid of "my web search" while powered by google, it sux! I want good old google or google chrome

When firefox opens up, the search window on the right has My Web Search within. often, when I want GOOGLE, I get this "My Web Search", 'powered by google. My searches are terrible...MyWebSearch gives me a lot of worthless [obviously] paid-for search results.
I followed their instructions and deleted it by 'removing the program' in my control panel, etc., through the start menu. yet this lingers, and i can't find it anywhere in my computer memory to try to reemove it again.
    It sux!
I want to use good old google!!
Help me get rid of it!!

hello hmsa76l79, please also go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, etc).
[[Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page]]
afterwards install the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customziations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/

  • What useful features am I loosing keeping the good old IOS 6.13 on iPad 2?

Guys, I'm quite confused to keep the good old 6.13 IOS for my iPad 2 or upgrade to 8.1?
    What I know;
    IOS 6.13;
-looks better, faster, maybe gives longer battery life
    IOS 8.1;
-new features, but what? I heard airdrop not even working on iPad 2.
My second device is iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1. Are they doing something better together if both of them are on 8.1?

    Thanks for the input.

  • Goods Despatch day in Sales Order

    Hi All,
In a Scenario, Client wants to Despatch goods on certain days to Different customers  as Lorry leaves on certain days only for certain countries( e.g. FRIDAY to Country A & Tuesday to Country B).
Shipping point is only one.---e.g. (GB01)
If I assign Shipping calender (Friday) -only on Shipping point , so goods will be despatched on FRIDAY only .
So how can we map different despatch days to different customers from one Shipping point.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Vikas

    Dear Vikas,
This information from SAP  documentation for "Define customer calendars"
Using this calendar, the SAP System determines the customer's workdays and public holidays. Furthermore, the requested delivery dates and confirmation dates in sales are determined and checked using the calendar.
    Note
The customer-specific calendar is maintained along the lines of the maintenance of a customer-independent calendar. The procedure is described in the section "Environment"--> "Define calendar".
    Actions
    1. Define a customer-specific calendar by specifying the public holidays, the holiday calendar and the factory calendar.
    2. Make sure that the calendar is maintained in the customer master records for each unloading point if you want to use customer-specific calendars.
    Transport
Changes to calendar data are not automatically recorded in a correction request.
To transport the calendar data to other systems, use the Transport function in the initial maintenance screen.
Be careful not to transport individual holidays or calendars, rather only the calendar data in its entirety. All holidays, and holiday and plant calendars existing in the target system will be deleted.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Sync chaos and rollback to good old non-iCloud times

Hi. I've got a problem with iCloud sync. I posess a pair of macbooks, an iPad and an iPhone. All those gadgets are syncing to the icloud: docs, pictures and music. I'm really unhappy with how they do it, because I've got no control over the process and I don't understand when what is going to be placed / removed from what gadget. The playlists I have in iTunes appear and disappear in an unpredictable way from my gadgets. Music is being copied, sometimes as file, sometimes as an iCloud alias, sometimes as nothing. Pictures I take - (well, I almost stopped working with pictures on mac, because after 20 years of working on the mac I totally fail to understand the "intuitive, self-organizing, protective, bla-bla-bla interface") - my pictures appear on the photostream, multiply themselves, disappear on their own, e.t.c. Address Book contacts are doubled, 3x, 4x, 10x-ed. Worse then that, I have - due to the chaos Apple had with the transition from .mac to .me 2 accounts, which contain lots of valuable stuff. Or 4? .mac, .me, .icloud and one which is not an email adress. And it's impossible to merge them (though was promised for years). Computer lives its own life, I'm excluded from using it.
Currently, I'm rolling back from 10.8.2 to 10.6.8, because I can't tolerate the OS bugs anymore. After seeing what's in the iOS6 I'm looking for the possibility to roll back to iOS4 my mobile devices as well - I don't want to have anything with iCloud. Does anyone know if it is possible? If not, I will consider to replace my digital ecosystem with something less crazy.

I have vaguely similar issues.  Different but along the same lines and totally to do with iCloud.  The day I "upgraded" to the cloud is the day I started wanting to smash my Mac.  I have had calendar dates triple every single event on my calendar from the day I got my imac 3 years ago.  I have had contacts and groups triple and quadruple.  I have had notes which do not sync in VERY SPECIFIC ways (detailed in another post) which MAKES NO SENSE.  Right now, If I type a new note on my Mac, it multiplies itself as I am typing the note, so by the time I have typed 4 lines I have 4 copies of the note, in varying stages of "doneness" based on how much was in the note at the instant it created itself.  Then I have to delete 5+ notes every time I create a note?  PLUS, a new note created on my MAC DOES NOT sync to the cloud or my iphone.  But changes to existing notes do?????????
The Geniuses are no good.  They are all parroting useless phrases which I am sure they have been told to say about the Cloud.  No one will acknowledge that it is THEIR fault and that they could do something to at least let US, THEIR LOYAL USERS know that they know that something is not right.

  • Old Firefox's icon and item Name (not blue one) in Application has disappeared suddenly from the screen. How can I retrieve this?

When I clicked "Finder" and "Application", Firefox (old one, not new blue one) icon and Name used to show up in the screen, but no longer. How could I bring them back? There are no difficulty
in running computer, but I cannot update Firefox. Please advise.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?
