Good Receipt under Quality inspection

Hello Expert
Once the good receipt is done it should go to Quality inspection and then to Un restirected.
I have done certain check mark in Material master under quality management tab, even after it is moving to un restricted at the time of GR.

What settings you have in QM view of material master ?
If you done inspection setup correctly in material master,it will be reflected only in new purchase order or new line item
added to existing purchase order not to existing p.o or goods receipt.

HI,
Go to QA 32 , you can see the list of inspection lots .
You can do result recording & Usage decision.
During usage decision , you can do the stock posting (Unrestricted , returm delivery) from the stock posting tab in UD screen.

Reverse Goods receipt after Quality Inspection...

Hi Expets,
I'm able to do the GR reverse after the Quality inspection Lot also using mb01 and mov type 102.The stcok is also updating as soon as i do the reverse. Here my questions are.......
1)Why I need to do the cancel of Inspection Lot since there is no effect on stock postings by cancellation and stock postings are effected by GR only.
2) GR = 10 qty
Inspection Lot = 5 Unrestricted, and for remaining UD for 5 has not been made.
here I'm able to do the reversal of GR for 10 Qty and I did also. and same time I,M not able to do the cancellation of Lot because the qty 5 is still pending, for this If i post the qty 5 to un restricted in the Lot and do the cancellation lot , the stock will be duplicated in mmbe. kindly guide me how to handle this type of issue....
where reversal of GR for full qty before partial Inspection qty for the lot and completing the inspection lot after GR reversal and cancellation of full Lot

Hello, anyone know whether SAP allow goods issue of quality inspection stock?
If stanrdard customizing not possible, any user exit ?

Beacuse Once Stock in QI without inspection we can't issue goods

How to by-pass: MIRO: material is still under quality inspection

All SAP Gurus,
At the time of posting the MIRO, system giving an error message as 'material is still under quality inspection'.
We want to by-pass this message and post the MIRO.

DOL lot required under Quality Inspection

Dear Sirs,
I am new to QM.
I want to know, when we are doing 105 movement for Skip/DOL lots the material is directly getting transferred to unrestricted stock.
My query is that
1. Skip/DOL lot should show under quality inspection till the usage decision is made.
2. What if I reject the lot & found that it is already used on line & there is '0' stock in unrestricted.
Kindly suggest a solution.

And DOL means exactly what?
1 - Why would a skip lot quantities show under QI? You skipped it.. that's that whole idea. It goes right to unrestricted for use.
2 - You have no choicebut to recevie the material to unrestricted inventory. You used the material. That's exactly what happenned to it. It went to UR, you selected it and consumed it in an order. Of course there will be 0 stock. You have no choice but to receive the skip into UR. What you do is whatever your process would be for recalling the product that was made.
You might want to review Nitan's document on this: Stock posting of material for which stock is not managed by QM.

In SAP Business One, there is no quality inspection for goods return. You need to post on a proper forum to get the answer.

Goods issues to Quality inspection

Dear friends,
I have deactivated QM not active(Removed the check ) in IMG/Quality management/QUality inspection/Deactivate movement types for QM for the movement type--103.
So while GR-MIGO-ins.lot is created and QA32--QM people placed in Unrestricted stock.
So through 105 automatically material is placed in Quality inspection.
Requirement is that for Goods issues also Material has to be inspected by QM.
Then I deactivated for movtype-201, Then Qualty inspection lots are created.
But I do 201,material stock is reducing but Quality inspection lot is creating.
But Material shall not be issued,it shall be through QM after relasing only issued to cost center, similar to Goods reciept.
How it can be done,
please suggest.

Hello Anand,
if I understand you correctly you are creating Inspection lots of the 02 inspection origin, and you want these to be stock relevant.
This is not possible only certain inspection lot origins are stock relevant i.e. 01, 04, 05 and 08.

Block goods receipt if open inspection lot for source inspection (SAP QM)

i would like to block the goods receipt for a purchase order item, if there is an open inspection lot for source inspection. i know how to block, if it rejected, but not what to do in this case.

Go to material master , check the QM View active.
If QM View is active , go to this view and change the QM control Key as 000 and remove the tick mark for QM Proc active Field.

Cancel the quality inspection movement on good receipt

I am trying to cancel a quality inspection movement from qual. Inspect. to
unrestricted use. Here are the details:
1. A goods receipt was entered for Material XXX batch YYY for
1900kg. It was entered Aug 1, but was backdated to post on July
29.
2. I think an accident was made and the person
entered the good receipt into quality inspection status, rather than in unrestricted
use.
3. this person used the movement 321 without success .
4. Now it will not allow me to post goods issue with a back date of Friday
July 29.
When i try to reseverse the good recipt i received an error message Deficit of BA Stck.in qual.insp 1.900 KG
Message no. M7021.
Can you help me?

Inspection lot generation after every 5th goods receipt

Dear Gurus,
There is a scenario in my project. There are some materials for which the inspection is done on every 5th goods receipt. The inspection of the material will be done for the first time it is coming in the company's premise and for the next four time it will be forwarded directly to the production without any quality inspection. Is it possible in sap to create inspection lot after every 5th inward delivery? Or can anyone suggest me a way to capture this scenario in sap..

This is possible by using DMR in Task list.
Go to tcode QDR1-->Create a DMR with
follwoing steps;
Dyanmic modification : on Lot level
F5
Stage 10 Inspection seviarity :4 Skip :balnk ist: tick Text:first stage
OK
No of Inspectin:1
Max. skip duration:Blank
New insp. stage:20
NOT OK
Rejections 1
New insp. stage:10
Stage 20 Inspection seviarity :blank Skip :tick ist:blank Text:second stage
No of Inspectin:5
Max. skip duration:Blank
New insp. stage:10
NOT OK
Rejections 1
New insp. stage:10
SAVE
Now use this DMR in task list header at Lot level.
Attach this task list to inspection lot
make sure that you have ticeked on Skip & Auto UD in QM view.
Then in QA16 schecule for Auto UD after every 10 mins or 30 mins.
at plant level also make auto UD & skip 30 mins.
This will skip the 4 lots & UD will be taken in background.
After that it will come to QI
Revert back for More querries.

Goods Receipt generates inspection lot using inspection type 08

Hi,
I have two plants A and B. I have set up my materials with an 08 inspection type plant B. Material transfers from plant A and B generate an inspection lot using inspection type 08 and inspection lot origin 08. This works perfectly.
However if I use a stock transfer between two storage locations within 1 plant, using stock transfer order, inspection lot is generated using inspection type 08 when GR is performed.
Is there a link between 08 inspection type and 101 movement

Yes ,101 & 08 are associated with each other for stock transfer order that is only when receipt indicator is "X" and mvt indicator is prchase order.
If you do not want this to haapen then
copy mvt type 101 as Z01 & for this mvt type deactivate QM in
QCC3->inspection lot creation->Inspect for goods mvt->Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type>Z01-->deactivate
Use this mvt type when you are tranferring material from storage location to storage Location.
This will not create any inspection lot.

Can we create 2 inspection lots at the time of goods receipt.

Can we create two inspection lots at the time of goods receipt from vendor.I will assign two inspection types in material master
suppose 01,02.Both are releated to goods receipt.For one inspection lot when we take usage decision stock should not post into usage decision.for other inspection lot stock has to be posted.Is this possible?if possible how to do configuration?

I think I made this recommendation in a previous post concerning this but this is exactly what reference operation sets are created for.
Create the reference operation set for the characteristics that are used for all the materials. You create this once.
When you create the sepcific plan for the individual materials, you include the reference operation as one of the operations, (probably the first one in your case). You don't have to add characteristics, modify or change it. All the characeristics and settings come from the reference operation. If you need to make a change you edit the reference operation and make the change once. The change is immediately seen in all newly created inspection lots.
In a second operation of the plan, you add the characteristics specific to the material.
You can add different workcenters to the operations if you want. That way you can set up security on the workcenters and control who can record results against which operations.
Aside from creating lots manually, you can't create two lots at the same time from the same GR.

Qm goods receipt with inspection points

my business process study reveels the following scenario
i need to do goods receipt insection with inspection points
means the finish product say rice
i given paddy to the miller as a subcontarcting
iam getting rice as out put
i need to record inspction results on inprocess as well as at finish produt
ie while processing from paddy to rice i will made timely inspection points and want to capture the result
and for final rice also i need to do inspection
how to achive this
if i chhose inspection type 04 and freeinspection points
system not accepting

You define the use of the inspection points in the inspection plan. You must use "inspection with plan" in the material master set up and use an appropriate plan. Then you should get inpsection points with 04 inspection.
