Goods receipt without transaction EIN (T030)
Hi,
some countries use transaction EIN.
At the goods receipt system creates an FI document.
If EIN is used In this document I can see the G/L purchasing account (debited) and the GR/IR clearing account (credited).
If I don't use transaction EIN (as in country Romania) system will not use the purchasing account.
So my question is:"When the purchasing account will be used" ?
Finance departement of my customer says that it will debited at the time of the goods issue....
I don't understand how to customize the system so that purchasing account will be debited at the time of goods issue

You can use 501 movment type and make the field EXBWR- Ext. Amount in LC optional/editable in OMJJ. By doing so you will be able to enter the price and the Vendor and create a GR without PO. In this case it would hit the GR/IR account.
If you desire not to hit this account then you can either use 202 or you can create a Custom movment type similar to it and make the GL account field Optional. Then you can enter the GL account while doing the Goods Receipt.

Dear Expers,
A colleague of mine has done Good Receipt without cost when I go in Inventory posting the G/L Acct is missing because of this. How Can I rectify this... I have tried doing stock revaluation but its giving BK-PLEASE ENTER A PROFIT CENTER....even tho I put in the profit center I get the same error msg.

Yes of course if you valuing by Moving average. its highly crucial to maintain and you do MR - material revaluation the issue is more the cost is increased. The cost will have increased.
( (Item price* qty) + (available item price * qty) ) / total quantity. Please do calulation it will all be correct to the value inthe system.
Please be careful with these type of transaction.

Should the Goods Receipt Inventory Transaction include Item Cost selection?
When processing a Goods Receipt inventory transaction, the Price List pull down does not display "Item Cost" as a selection.
The user can make the Unit Price field visible and active, compare the cost displayed from the Price List selected to the current Item cost and update if different. This forces the user to be very cost cognizant as none of the price lists available are guaranteed to be equal to the current item cost.
Update of the record can cause a cost revaluation in moving average or a cost varinance account adjustment in a standard cost system.
The companies I have talked to would prefer to select Item Cost in the price list field as they can do in the Stock Posting.
I am looking for further input on this.

Goods receipt without a purchase order

I created a good receipt in MIGO with out a purchase order, the saving icon refuse to highlight i.e is not highlighted, so i cat save the goods receipt. I dont know if it has something to do with the configuration? if the system is configured not to accept a goods receipt without a PO.?. Key-in your G/L Account - 310000 & Company Code, in respective fields; go to
Tab: Create/bank/interest
Here, you will find a Box: Post automatically only. Enable the box (check-mark the box) for GR/IR clearing account.

Now i am doing Historical data migration project. for this project last 7 year data we will move to New sap systems. we will get the data from standard tables from the all module like FI/CO,MM and PS.
So in FI data i done through z program. in MM side previsiously only PO data only in the scope.but recently they added Good movements also. so whenever the MM consultant will do the Goods receipts the fi documents will come in to piture. it is duplicate data available twice.
Because I uploaded FI data which is linked to MM integration. so now my problem is whenever the MM Consultant wii upload the Goods Receipts, there is no Fi document happen. so please provide any soluation about this.

Go to MB1C enter 561 movement type (initial posting ) .
Material number is must.
It will be against profit center as it is goods receipt and stock value will be credited to our a/c .

How to do goods receipt without stock for a stock material? Is there a way to create a material document without stock posting?
in case you do a goods receipt to a third party order, it is just statistical and does not update your stock figures.

Batch Data Capture to do a Goods Receipt via transaction MIGO.
Hi All,
I have a new requirement to perform a Batch Data Capture of a goods receipt via transaction code MIGO.
Currently the BDC approach is not feasible due to the fact that screen configuration is dynamic and may differ at times between different users and user profiles.
Therefore I have tried to use function module 'MIGO_GR_CREATE' instead. However after some initial investigation it has become clear that a material document number that is generated by SAP may not be returned by this function module after successful execution of a "GR".
Therefore does anyone know any function module to use in order to do a "GR" by passing or submitting a purchase order number + purchase order line item number (and possibly a delivery note number) and get back a material document number after successful/complete execution.

I have develop a report to process the same Open goods receipt extracted by the transaction ME2L using the parameter 'WE101'; I know where is the customizing to see the criterions of selection 'WE101' ( IMG under Materials Management -> Purchasing ->Reporting -> Maintain Purchasing Lists -> Scope of List -> Define Scope of List. Select any one option & double click ) but I don't know ho create a report that use the same selection.
There is a function or which is the query to select Open goods receipt like transaction ME2L?
I need it because i have to extract data like ME2L and after continuing to elaborate it...

For Open PO Reports try using these standard reports:
ME2N, ME2M, ME2L, ME80FN.
Also, when you run them, try to execute these reports in the background with immediate Job. Later, you can check the spool for results.

Automatic PO form goods receipt without reference Movement type 501
Hi,
My client receive sample material from the vendor that is without reference to PO, but upon approval of sample the vendor has to make the payment for which i do not have the reference document number.
To arive at the solution i wanted to generate automatic PO for movement type 501, for which i have checked the movement type settings, 501- automatic PO, i ahve maintained the info record, and during GR for movement type 501 i enter the vendor even than system is not generating any PO in backend, I have centraalised purchase organization assigned to the plant.
can anyone suggest me if i am missing any settings,

You need to configure the following steps for creating automatic PO in MIGO transaction.
1.Activate the auto PO in Material and Vendor Master.
2. Maintain the Info record.
3.Assign the Standard Purchase organisation for the plant you want to create auto Po.
Path: ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE-ASSIGNMENT-MATERIALS MANAGEMENT-ASSIGN STANDARD PURCHASE ORG FOR PLANT.
4. Activate create PO automatically for movement type (101,501).
Path: MM-INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL INVENTORY-GOODS RECEIPT-CREATE PURCHASE ORDER AUTOMATICALLY - here you can activate for the mvt type you want.
5.In MIGO screen, goto menu Settings and click default values , you will get a screen where you can check the mvt type 101,501... are maintained in mvt type column. if not you just enter the mvt type which you want. and click adopt tab.
6. Now you do GR using 501 mvt type and give the material and vendor ..
It will work.
