thanks
thomas

hi
If LIV and Payment to Vendor is done then
1. ME21N - Create a Returns PO (Activate "Returns" indicator for PO line item)
2. MIGO - Goods Receipt > Purchase Order (Returns PO) (Here system will hit Mvmt type "161" and you can also select Un-restricted/blocked stock from where you want to return the stock)
3. J1IS u2013 Excise Invoice Other Movements
Here click on u201Ccreateu201D button to create an outgoing excise invoice and reverse the CENVAT Amount.
Here put all details as below and Press u201CEnteru201D.
Ref.doc.type - MATD
Doc Number - Material document No of 161 mvmt
Doc Year
Series Group
Excise Group
Vendor
Here check BED, ECS and SECess values to be reversed and click on u201CSaveu201D button to post the excise invoice.
4. J1IV - Post and Print Outgoing Excise Invoice.
5. MIRO - Credit memo w.r.t. Returns PO.
if the material is non excisable then plz omit the steps 3 and 4

  • How to do goods return for QM parts ?

    Hi Expert,
Part is active QM management ,
After GR and QC, the parts is release from QC stock to unrestricted used stock through QA32.
Now user found some problem of parts, how to do the Goods return to vendor ? Seems the transaction of QA32 can not be reversed. we want to return parts from unrestricted used stock to vendor .
    BR . Shubin

    Hi,
I suppose the material was received against a Purchase order,
In that case do a MIGO for the particular PO with movement type 122 and in the item detail "where " tab, change the stock type from "Quality" to "unrestricted" and post the document,
The said quantity will be moved out of your inventory,
You will have to raise a credit memo against the same PO using MIRO, in case the payment has already been done for the particular supplies.

  • Returning goods back to Vendor in R/3

DEAR SAP GURU's:  Good Day!  I am on a project at the moment and I have never heard of returning goods back to the (started in the middle) vendor as they are doing.  I am not saying it is wrong, but some new requirements for sending material out for repair, re-calibration, etc  is coming in the future and I am unsure that it will work with returning the repairable material to Vendor or the Lab.This is material that is not being sold to customers, but has to be maintained for the company.  We are also going to implement serialization profile as well as the equipment record.  The process that is being done now that I am not familiar with (they are only using this for material that is not repairable, it example would be a wrong part number was rec'd into warehouse in error) is to perform a MIGO transaction with a 122 movement on the delivery note number. Reason is so shipping can have a document to ship out on versus a manual shipping document.  I am used to returning material back to vendor in a Purchase Order with the "return" indicator flagged and performing a 161 movement. This also creates a shipping document back to the vendor.  This is what I want to purpose to the company however, they just implemented the use of the 122 for their process now.  Has anyone heard of doing the return to vendor with a 122 mvmt?  Does anyone know if this will work for material we want to ship out to vendor?  If so, how do capture the value and repair costs?

    Hi Kimberly!
I wouldn't call me an expert for such questions, but at least some thoughts.
From logistic point of view, a 122 shipping should be OK - but your last questions points out the difference to a return PO (and 161): how to get correct values?!
When you can live with moving average (or standard) price, that's fine, but when you have to have the 'original' values from the PO or charge otherwise something for the goods, a 'whole' process starting with a return PO is necessary.
When going on to discuss this question with the customer, involve first more (or mainly) value interested people (FI or purchasing department) - from logistics you won't get understanding in the beginning.

  • Printing vendor return invoice - goods return using movement 122

    Dear all,
Is it possible to  print vendor return invoice along with excise tax break up if we do goods return using movement type 122 ?.
    Regards,
    A.Jeyakanthan

Yes, you  will need to create an excise invoice for vendor rejection / returns using J1IS transaction against the 122 material document .  the  tax details can be picked up from tables J_1IEXCHDR and J_1EXCDTL.

  • Goods Receipt PO, Based on Goods Return, Including Serials

    Hi All,
When you received an item to stock from your vendor, and the item was defective,
You should return the item to the vendor using 'Goods Return'.
What should one do in the following case:
Instead of crediting the returned item - the vendor decided to fix the defective part - and resend it to our stock.
The normal procedure, as I know it, would be to copy the 'Goods Return' to a 'Goods Receipt PO'.
However, if the item is managed by serials - The system won't allow me to return the same serial to stock,
and only lets me create a new serial.
If I will type the original serial manually in the 'Goods Receipt PO', the system will simply create a new record in the serial table (assuming duplicated serials are allowed).
What is the correct way to handle this situation ?
    Many Thanks !

    Anyone ??
    Pretty Please .....

  • How to Handle Returns of Vendor Consigned Stock Issued via Delivery ?

    Hi.
I am currently able to issue Vendor Consigned Stock via Delivery. I use Lean Warehouse Management, and I have implemented Stock Determination Rule to take Vendor Consigned Stock and Unrestricted own stock in account during Issue. I am even able to insert the correct Vendor Number during the confirmation of the Transfer Order. When I generate the Goods Issue of the Delivery Order, I get an accounting document that affects both the Account Payable Liability and a Consumption Account.
Now My Question is this :
How do I handle Customer Complaints that lead to a Return of the Goods, back into Vendor Consigned Stock ? The goods that is returned, needs to be taken back into Vendor-Consigned Status, and a appropriate Accounting Document needs to be generated to reverse out the Acct Payable Liability and Consumption Account entries.
Do I use a Returns 'RE' Sales Order to bring back the Stock ? I need to be able to create a Return Delivery that will immediately post the returned Stock back into Vendor Consigned Status. So where and how can I key in the vendor number in the Return delivery, keeping in mind Return Delivery in Standard SAP does not use Warehouse Management ?
    regards
    Peo

    Hi Edmund
I think you can try the following:
    1. Define a new schedule line category - here you can define the movement type and the item category (as given in a Purchase Info Record). - Transaction VOV6
    2. Define a new sales order type for returns. - Transaction VOV8
    3. Define a new item category for the returns document, - you can mention the special stock type here too
    4. Carry out the sales order to item category and item category to schedule line category assignments.
I am not sure if the system will prompt you to provide the vendor number or how does it populate the vendor no. while posting the material doc. However you can try this out and check if this solves your issue.

  • Landed costs can not get Goods receipt PO when Goods return made

    Hi, everybody
I need to calculate landed costs and it seems that I can not use when I built a Goods return.
My procedure as follow ( ps: the same vendor number)
    1. created a PO then Goods receipt PO (docNum says 1111) which included 20 quanties for item no AAAA.
    2. created a Goods return which Copy from Goods receipt PO no: 1111, which included 5 quanties for item no AAAA.
    3. next, I try to caculate my Landed costs. I open a new Landed costs and click the button "Goods Receipt PO", but I can not find any Goods receipt PO no: 1111.
What can I do to caculate my exactly landed costs & Goods receipt PO no: 1111 that included 15 quanties?
    Thanks for your help

When you only Returned partial goods from your Receipt.  The Receipt should still be open and you should be able to process the Landed cost. I am not sure why the GR is not showing in the landed costs window.
Please check if the GR is closed by an AP Invoice / by itself.
Otherwise, you will need to process AP Goods Return for the remaining 15 and process a New Goods Receipt for 15.

  • Return to Vendor with Shipping - Help with the credit memo

    Hey guys,
I've configured return deliveries to vendors, using a return PO with shipping, then creating an RL delivery type > transfer order> post goods issue.
All that works fine. My trouble is trying to set up the credit memo. I'm not an SD consultant so I don't know too much about billing.
I go to VF01 to create the billing document, however I receive an error that the delivery type (RL) is not allowed for billing type F2. I know where the config is to set up this relationship (SD>Billing>Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents), but I would have thought a different billing type (something for credit memos) would be used instead of F2.
In standard sales, the billing type is determined from the sales order type. As there is no sales order in this instance, where is the billing type being determined? Why is SAP trying to create my billing document with and F2 billing type.
    Thanks for you help/info,
    Mark.

Sorry, this is not clear to me.
If you send back goods to your vendor - generally - you send back the goods because those goods are damged. In this case it is your vendor who issues credit memo and not you to your vendor.
MM credit memo (that is issued by your vendor) can be posted in MIRO. If your vendor issues debit memo it can be posted in MIRO too.
Please check retrun delivery with mvt 122:

So, I don't think you can do anything with your return delivery in VF01.

  • Moving average price and returns to vendor

    Hello gurus,
I’ve got a question concerning material valuation and returns to vendor.
E.g. we have got 200 pieces of a material with a moving average price of 2 $ each.
Now, what happens if I return 100 of those to my vendor who pays 2.10$ each for them?
In my view, there are several possibilities:
    - Nothing happens, the moving average price is not changed at all, value of the goods is 200$ afterwards.
    - New value of the goods is 400$ - (100 * 2.10$) = 190 $. This would mean that the moving average price is 1.90 $.
    - Last delivered price was e.g. 2.20$, more than 100 pieces were delivered, so the new value of the goods is 400$ - (100 * 2.20$) = 180$, new moving average price is 1.80$.
So my question is: What is standard in SAP?
    Thanks
    Jens

This is what my thought is
When you return the material to vendor then system take the same valuation as your MAP
and when you buy new goods then it will count based on the
e.g. existing stock is 100 and value is 1000 means valuation is 10 a peice
in you but another 100 at 1200 then valuation is 2200/200 = 11
When a material is subject to moving average price control, the system calculates values for goods movements in the following way:

  • Material return to vendor ( line rejection)

    Dear MM gurus,
i have a scenario where material received is accepted at the time of Quality inspection. Same material issued to production but if found faulty has to be returned to vendor. Such line rejection occur daily and at the end of the weak rejection quantity are enough to be sent back to vendor.
we are using two step process for GR i.e 103 followed by 105. following process does not allow material return through purchase return order i.e 161. creating return delivery via migo with movement type 122 against GRs is not viable as such returns will need reference to around 30 goods receipt for single return delivery creation.
kindly suggest a solution were return delivery can be created  without reference of GR. Please ask for clarification if information here is insufficient.

  • Issue Price Difference Acct. in JE of goods return

    Dear all,
There is issue in price difference account(Defined as Material Purchase Gain A/c in warehouse)
    in good return journal entry,
Eloborating problem : User booking subcontracting grpo for qty 1470.024 with price also for 1470.024,
JE for GRPO is Sub Contracting Charges A/c Dr to Sub Contracting Charges Clearing A/c Cr.
    ie.,
Sub Contracting Charges a/c Dr -11,92,189.46
Sub Contracting Charges Clearing A/c Cr -11,92,189.46
Now they partially do good return for qty 811 with price 1470.024,
    JE for  Goods return is
Material Purchase Gains A/c Dr -11,78,900.46
Sub Contracting Charges a/c Dr -13,289
Sub Contracting Charges Clearing A/c Cr -11,92,189.46
Actually sub contracting charges a/c should have been debited to 11,92,189.46,
Why it is hitting Material purchase gains a/c ?
    Pl clarify it.

    Hai!
    As per my understanding,
Stock Acc always in Asset Draw, Price Diff Acc in Expense Draw.
    For Example..
1.I am purchasing a item of 10 qty each 1 rupee through GRPO.
2.It will post a JE like stock acc INR 10 Debit and GRNI Acc 10 Credit.
3.After that i have transfered my 5 qty to some other warehouse.
4.I am booking a AP invoice with that GRPO as base, now i have changed my price to 2 rupee.
5.It will post a JE like stock acc INR 5(51 which like in warehouse) debit, GRNI Acc INR 10 debit, price Diff Acc INR 5 Debit (51 go as expence) and Vendor INR 20 Credit.

  • Goods return not possible for Del. w/o charge: Mvmt type 511

    Hi
I've received free goods from Vendor using movement Type 511. Goods Return with reference to this entry cannot be carried out through MIGO -->Return Delivery.
System issues Error Message MIGO029:"The mvt type in the reference docmt cannot be converted".
    One possible reason is:
"No subsequent movement type has been defined".
I've checked table T156N and in fact there is no Return Delivery customizing entry on the follow-on movement type nor can I seem to add it to the table.

    Hi Nuno,
As per standard SAP system, for this movement type - 511 only 512 (reversal movement type) is supported.
In SPRO --> Materials Management --> Inventory Management --> Movement types --> Copy, change movement types -- for movement type 511 --> reversal/follow on movement types....against movement type 512 was configured.
As 122 return delivery movement type is not configured you are getting that error.
    hope this clarifies.
    Thanks,
    viswanath

  • PO with return to vendor

    Dear Experts
    Here is the scenario:
    1. inbound delivery is created from a PO with a 101 movement and item is received into warehouse.
    2. item needs to be returned to vendor
    3. Return delivery created using migo with movement code 122.
    4. Vendor is going to send item back and user wants to use the same PO but the line is not longer open.
Is this normal for the PO? User expected to be able to create a second inbound for this item.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jo Anne

    Hi
See when you are doing the goods reciept and then sending the material ( return to vendor ) using mvt 122 the result is same as that of what of 102 .
The system automatically reset the delivery indicator and the n there will be open quantiy in the Purchase order .
you can do the Goods reciept against this PO as a normal GR.
