Hi All,
Detailed information of my application
SUP Hybrid mobile application
Developed using HTML5
Kendo UI mobile
I need to track all the information of user actions like Add, delete, copy records, page visit, device information etc. Is there any way to use Google analytics for SUP hybrid mobile application.
Anybody have implemented this before with google analytics or any other analytics tools. Please suggest on this, your help is highly appreciated.

Hi,
Have you added "cafeugp~api" as Library reference?
Check Application properties (WebDynpro Component, Interface View, Startup Plug).
If it does not solve your problem, try to delete Application and create it again using New Application wizard.
Reward points if it's helpful.

Google Analytics for iweb 09 site published to MobileMe

At one point I was able to add Google Analytics to my iweb site that's on Mobile Me. That lasted 2 days, till I republished it. I redid it twice, I thought the same way. The last time was yesterday after changing to new iweb 09 software. I published site to local disk (idisk), then went to Automator and added the Google Analytics code (UA-xxxxxxx-x) again and unchecked "Old Style Analytics Code". I saved as a new "Google Analytics plugin". Then I selected website folder on idisk through Finder. Then control-clicked (to run Google Analytics workflow) and chose the "Google Analytics plugin" from menu. After this, I went back to my site in iweb and clicked on "Publish". I assumed that it published the site in idisk, where I had added Google Analytics. But it's been over 24 hours and no results in Google Analytics.
Through Safari, I went to home page of site, then clicked View, then page source and I don't see the Google Analytics code (UA-xxxxxxx-x) shown so it didn't seem to work. I just don't know where I made a mistake. I don't think its because I changed to iweb 09 because I re-did it the same way in iweb 08 (but did not uncheck the "Old Style Analytics Code") and it didn't work then either. Can't figure out how I got it to work for two days when I first tried it.
Please help. Anyone?

It is now easier than ever. You don't need an outside application, or an automator action at all. I used to use Transmit to upload my site, since I first had to export it to a folder, then run the automator action. I again spent some time looking for how to do it for iWeb 09 and found the easiest (and therefore overlooked) way:
1. in iWeb, create an HTML snippet
2. Copy the Google Analytics code and paste into the snippet.
3. Make the box as small as it can go (although this does not really matter since nothing will display on your site)
4. Copy this snippet and go on each page on your site and paste it.
5. Publish your site.
6. It will take a little bit of time for it to show up on the Google Analyics page, so set it up, then walk aawy for a little bit.
This worked for me right away, and I no longer have to export to a folder and use an action of any kind.

If you are referring to SMP 3, Odata SDK is not supported for Windows (windows support is planned for future). Still you can develop Windows apps using REST APIs. Ex. SyBooks Online.
REST API is available from SUP version 2.2. If you follow REST API approach for development of windows apps in older SMP versions it will be easy to migrate to SMP 3. More info:SUP/SMP 2.x vs. SMP 3.0 - Migration effort

what mobile app?
If it is based on MI, client needs MI middleware and devices specified in PAM. Devices need to have Creme, MI runtime framework and your app. Perhaps alternative persistence......
If it is an online app for mobile, it just needs a supported browser. Look into the specification of your environment to get more details on that.

Please help.. I am trying to get google analytics (or anything like that) onto my iWeb site so I can see how many people view it and from where...does anyone know how to do this? I tried to google it.. and I just got even more confused... THANKS!!!

Creating a project in Flex Builder for the Hybrid Store sample Application

Hi all,
How to create a project in Flexbuilder for the hybrid store
sample application.
I downloaded the source code of hybridstore application,
Now i have to create a project for it to run that application
in my system,
will you please tell me how to create a project for this
sample.
I have also read the readme.html file. but i could not follow
exactly what they are saying.
what i did is, I unzipped the source code into a folder
hybridstore.
I opened the flexbuilder : File -- new -- flexproject ( i
have selected) then i have given name to my file (hybridstore) ,
and set the path to the hybridstore folder where the source code
exists.
but it as created hybridstore.mxml file also.
it is not working.
will you please till me how to create project for this
application.
I have created project for other samples like restaurent
finder, dashboard. they are working fine.
I got problem with this sample only.

Query parameters in BC and setting up Site Search tracking in Google Analytics

I would like to enable site search tracking in Google Analytics for a non-eCommerce BC site but I do not know what query parameters I need to use to enable site search tracking - can anyone help?!
I can turn Site search tracking 'on' in Analytics but it requires the query parameters to be entered e.g. 's' or 'q'. I have the option of selecting 'strip query parameters out of URL' but I'm not sure what this does and what needs to be done in the backend of BC?
Usually, when an internal search is done within a website (and in this case it is www.newcastleairport.com.au), the URL will indicate the parameters by adding a 'en&q' in the URL. To test what metric would be used for the Airport, I did a search on 'annual report' and the following URL came up (not containing an en&q)

I am trying to set up a hybrid environment and followed the blog posts. Everything was set up as per the guidelines mentioned but still I am not able to fetch any results from SharePoint Online inside my on-premise environment.
There are no errors coming as such. Its just that my on-premise is showing no results from SPO. However if the same user logs on into the Office 365 SPO site he is able to see SPO search results. That means there is no permission related issue specific to
test user.
I am totally out of ideas now. In case you have faced similar issues while setting up the same then any pointers to troubleshoot would be very helpful.

Moving iTunes Mobile Applications folder to an alternate drive

I found out how to move the iTunes Mobile Applications folder to either an external drive or as in my case, from my 256GB SSD systems/application drive to a non-SSD drive on my desktop (3.0 TB in size). This is important for any iTunes users with their systems/applications on a SSD drive (i.e. on the C: drive but with constrained SSD drive space). In my case, my Mobile Apps folder is 40+ GB in size.
iTunes allows you to easily move your iTunes music folder to an alternate drive but it does not provide a means to move the Mobile Apps folder. I have confirmed this. However, in Windows Vista, 7 and 8, using the “mklink” command, you can set up a symbolic link from the iTunes Mobile Apps folder on the C: drive to the relocated Mobile Apps folder on another drive. iTunes thinks it is adding new Mobile Apps to the C: drive Mobile Applications folder, but it is actually updating the real Mobile Apps folder on the alternate drive. I’ve tried this approach and it works like a charm. The steps required are as follows:
1. Copy the existing Mobile Apps folder and its content on the C: drive to its new location on an alternate drive on your desktop or to an external drive.
2. Note and record the exact detailed path to the existing Mobile Applications folder as well as the exact detailed path for the new Mobile Applications folder
3. Delete the existing Mobile Applications folder (You cannot create a symbolic link to a directory that already exists on that same drive)
4. Open a Command Prompt (admin) window on your desktop. On Windows 8, this is easily done by right clicking the start icon on the bottom left of the desktop screen and selecting the Command Prompt (admin) option.
5. change directory to C:\ (i.e., enter cd c:\)
6. enter the mklink command and press enter (format mklink /d link_address target_address) for my Windows system this looked like the following:
mklink /d "C:\Users\Marv\Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications" "D:\Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications"
This command recreates the Mobile Applications folder on the C: drive in the exact place it was before, but only as a pointer to the real folder on the alternate or external drive. The link is transparent to iTunes and my 40+ GB Mobile Applications folder can be on a large drive rather than on my 256GB SSD systems/applications drive.

It requires elevation. If you find the command line application (cmd.exe), right-click, run as administrator, and paste the command, that will work.
However, this technique, which worked for me in the past, seems now to be failing. All new downloads are in the root of iTunes Media. The bizarre thing is that iTunes thinks it has put a downloaded file in the correct folder, so says it cannot play it, and if I move it manually to the correct folder, iTunes sees it without problems. I've tried mklink /d and mklink /j, neither works (the former shows the redirected target pathname, the latter behaves as if the target path is actually part of the native directory structure).

Can anyone explain why there is a difference between BC dashboard statistics vs Google Analytics?

I monitor Google Analytics for a client and have noticed that there is a factor of 3+ difference between the visitor rates provided by Google Analytics (say 4,000/mth) and BC (say 13,000/mth). Can anyone advise how BC measures a visitor?

You'd be surprised how many dodgy people target servers all the time.

Can I prevent google analytics from placing its script on pages I open?

I resent google analytics for placing its script on every page that website builders ask it to.
Users place a script like this on their page, which then google does when this request script is present. It always looks similar to this:

When you open any page containing this script, it will write google's analytic script at the top of that page, this in turn, collects data about you and your browsing. At the bottom of the page is the second half of this b.s. script.
How can I program Firefox to recognize this particular string at onload and jimmy this script so it can't write the script it's meant to? 
Microsoft and others also have such gimmicks I'd like to jam. MS puts a 1x1 pixel "img" tag, which isn't meant to be noticed, but Firefox automatically performs a 'get' for it. This phony image is really a reference number that ends up cached. Even this FireFof Help Page puts a similar script on this page: <code> <script src="/media/js/webtrends.[my spoiler]js" defer=""></code> 
Is anyone else ticked off by this? If so, can you offer help?
