Google blocking attempted sign-in ONLY after upgrade to 10.10.3

On Apple Mail, I am getting a sporadic message via Apple Mail email (ironically) telling me that Google blocked an attempt to sign-in to one of my gmail accounts.  I've had these gmail accounts working just fine with Apple Mail for quite a long time and ONLY since recently upgrading to 10.10.3 did these messages start coming in once in a while.  I've gotten a total of 4 such messages even though Apple Mail has since checked mail many, many times.  So it's not often and from what I can gather by looking at the details of what/who is attempting to log on, it's ME.  Meaning, it's Apple Mail through my MacBook Pro logging on like it's done a zillion times before but now it's once in a great while running into a problem..
Anyone else having this issue and any idea of how to fix this???

Same thing is happening to me. Has happened twice now, several days apart. And each incident usually results in 2-3 email warnings from Google. Google thinks someone has tried to log into my account in a suspicious way, but it is always me. The weird thing is that it is only happening on one of my gmail email accounts. I have three. So go figure. This also only started happening when I upgraded to the new OS X. I too am using Apple Mail.

  • Google search engine no longer works after upgrading to Firefox 11

    I just upgraded to Firefox 11 earlier this evening. Now I'm trying to do a search with Google. I got the search results and clicked on what I wanted only to get taken to the Google home page with a new Google search engine entry box. There was a google sign-in thing but I shouldn't have to sign in just to do a search. I switched to yahoo search and got the info I wanted then switched back to google to try to figure out what on earth is going on. Now when I click on the item in the results that I want the tab at the top sort of blinks for an instant that says connecting then stops and stays on the results page. If I right-click on the item and select open in a new tab (or new page), I can go to that page, but I shouldn't have to always right click to go to a new tab or new page. It was never that way before I got to Firefox 11. Can this be fixed or do I have to just abandon google?

    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    1. Clear Firefox's Cache

    Also, I think the Ask toolbar (add-on) has been reported to create problems with the links in Google search results. You could try disabling it here:

  • Google Maps Widget doesn't work after upgrade to Safari 4.0

    After a lengthy bit of trouble shooting with an iWeb specialist yesterday, we reached a conclusion that somehow installing the release version of Safari 4.0 (released Monday, 6/8) causes the GoogleMaps widget to not function or display properly. Using backup harddrives of recent systems, the widget worked properly in OS X 10.5.7 running iWeb 3.0.1 with both Safari 3.2 and the BETA VERSION of Safari 4. On that same system, once I download and installed the release of Safari 4., the maps widget would not work or display properly.
    To describe what doesn't work: None of the options (search field, address bubble, or zoom controls) appear regardless of what the user selects in the HUD when creating or editing the content. I am unable to pan and/or scroll around the map within its bounding box at all. The only thing I am able to do is edit the address field in the HUD and end up with a map with that location centered in the window.
    The AppleCare specialist didn't have much response in that I think this is a brand new and VERY obscure bug.
    I am curious to know if anyone else has exprienced this condition.

    It may be obscure in iWeb but the Safari 4 update has messed up the Google maps in iPhoto big time. Be sure to report it as they are all related to the Safari 4 upgrade and probably only be solved by a Safari fix.

  • While in Edit Mode in Moodle - page content does not render at all, but I am able to display the underlying HTML code. Happens only after upgrade to Firefox 11.0.

    While in edit mode in the Moodle course management system, the Page Content window should display the page as it will appear to the user. If you click on the "Edit" button, you are able to view the HTML code for the page. However, when you return to the normal display mode, the page is blank. This has occurred after the upgrade to Firefox 11.0. Page is normally rendered in Internet Explorer.

    A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Leopard keeps returning to the sign in screen after upgrading

    Bought a brand new imac. Went through normal set up, then upgraded to Leopard with the included DVD. After "successful" upgrade, I get the leopard sign in screen, enter the correct PW see a quick blue screen and then it goes back to the sign in screen. If I enter the wrong PW the PW box shakes. Any help is appreciated.

    I have problem when upgrading catalog from 10g to 11g.
    The error is:" Unable to Sign In . An invalid User Name or Password was entered. "
    I upgraded following the steps like this:
    1.Login EM and check BI server is running successfully.
    2.Started the UA.bat.
    Select the operation:Upgrade Oracle BI RPD and Web Catalog.
    Step by Step,and the upgrade completed successfully.
    3.Open the RPD online using the Admintool succefully.
    4.But when I Login the BI and view the dashboard with the 10g's user (Administrator),the page appear the error "*Unable to Sign In . An invalid User Name or Password was entered.* "
    5.Then I Try to Regenerating User GUIDs
    1. Update the FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS parameter in NQSConfig.INI:
    a. Open NQSConfig.INI for editing at:
    b. ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OracleBIServerComponent/coreapplication_obisn
    c. Locate the FMW_UPDATE_ROLE_AND_USER_REF_GUIDS parameter and set it to YES, as follows:

    if your using oracle db please make sure your db settings and tnsnames.oRA settings
    also try you please try below troubleshooting steps:
    1) please check latest error message and find the root cause,
    presentation catalog log path:
    obiee installed Drive:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\diagnostics\logs\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\sawlog0.txt file
    also check it nqserver.log file
    oracle bi server log path ref:
    obiee installed Drive:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\diagnostics\logs\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\nqserver.log
    2)can you try to login RPD,EM and console by using your weblogic a/c then try to login with some other user.
    if its not working then try to delete that users from catlog and check it Check OPMN services are running state.

  • SMB share read-only after upgrade to 10.6.4

    since i upgraded my MBP to 10.6.4 i can access our samba shares only in read-only mode.
    i'm connecting with the following string:
    cifs://myUsername@servername/aFolder/anotherFolder/myFolder
    this connection used to work since 10.3 or 10.4 up to 10.6.3, but now i'm getting a read-only volume ("You can only read" in the finder's get info window).
    any hints what i could change to make things writeable again?

    maybe an important additional info:
    the SMB share is mounted under /Volumes using my local MBP user/group setting.
    on the unix box where this share is located, i'm using a different username ("myUsername"), hence the cifs://myUsername@... in the server address string.
    since this connection always worked until 10.6.3 i have no idea if this share used to be mounted for root/admin (or other) - i never checked those permissions/owner settings before.

  • Icons and Flash Movies covered in blocks of dots (like static) after upgrade to Snow Leopard!

    Since upgrading to Snow Leopard my icons and all web based flash content are covered in blocks of moving dots - almost like static. Movies playing in iTunes or Quicktime are fine and images displayed in Photoshop etc. are all OK. I'm guessing it's something to do with my graphics card - ATI Radeon HD 4870 - any ideas anyone?   • Printer err306 Airport/Canon MX330 only after upgrade 10.6.3 to 10.6.4??

    I've have no trouble printing from my MacBook 10.6.3 via Airport on my Canon MX330 until I allowed a software upgrade yesterday to 10.6.4. Now I cannot resolve a communications problem no matter what I do - unplug everything, restart, delete all printers and reinstall them... In my mind this is clearly an Apple problem 2ndary to the upgrade - the printer is not too old, everything was working fine until the upgrade... I can see that many people are having printer problems...since I use this Multifunction machine for work I can't afford to wait weeks for a fix...Can anyone tell me how to downgrade to 10.6.3 if I need to do that? Or any other advice? Thanks...

    I'm having a similar problem with my iMac. It started out as not recognizing the scanner and i applied the update thinking this would fix it. now, when i try to print, i get an error. I know it is not my printer as my macbook still prints (and scans) fine with the same printer.

    I'm not going to update the macbook until this is resolved.

  • IDOC Syntax Error E0072 with status 26 after upgrade to ECC6.0

    We have upgraded SAP R/3 from 4.6C to ECC6.0. After upgrade, when we create PO and output EDI, we are seeing this IDOC syntax error E0072 for Mandatory Segment E1EDK01. In 4.6C it was working fine with no issues, only after upgrade this problem started. It says E1EDK01 is missing which is mandatory. We are using basic type ORDERS01 with no extensions. When we see WE30 it looks fine, WE20 settings looks fine.
    Order of the segments got scrambled in upgraded version. First segment is E1EDP19001, this is supposed to be under E1EDP01 segment. There are two E1EDP19001 segments created but there were no sub segments to E1EDP01.
    Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

  • Strange issue in updating custom table after upgrade ECC6.0! Please help!

    Hello everyone:
        I have some code (shown below) that deletes and updates some SAP tables and one custom table:
        DELETE T5UBV   FROM TABLE DEL_T5UBV.
      DELETE ZCHRZIP FROM TABLE DEL_ZCHRZIP.
      MODIFY ZCHRZIP FROM TABLE WRITE_ZCHRZIP.
      MODIFY T5UBV   FROM TABLE WRITE_T5UBV.
    COMMIT WORK.
    For SAP table the code above works fine but for custom table it overrides all exisiting data! It should keep some existing data in custom table ZCHRZIP and append any extra data from internal table WRITE_ZCHRZIP. This functions as designed if I run in fore ground but in background it just overrides instead of modifying and appending! This is happening only after upgrade ECC6.0. Any thoughts? Please let me know.

    we started using  Release Management Update 1  and it was worked perfectly fine.  then we move to upgrade existing Release Management(server,
    Database and agent) with Update 3, which we did, and its working fine  except lots of error as mentioned in above thread, are getting logged in server event log at regular interval till now(3-4 errors every second).
    even though lots of error are getting logged but we are not facing any issue while using Release Management with update 3.
    But i am bit curious to know out reason for getting those error.

    Environment is :
    WLS 6.0 SP2 and WLI 2.0 SP4 on Solaris 2.8.

    Hi Feng,
    In 2.0.10, we strictly evualuate the xpath queries:
    1. According to bpel spec 1.1 section 14.3, xpath queries should be absolute queries. you need to change query="//sessionID" to /cstaPrefix:iRequest/cstaPrefix:sessionID.
    2.If your xml documents are namespace aware then you must use qualified xpath queries. in your case you have to add prefix to your query like "/tns:disconnect_cstaRequest/tns:input. So please change the unqualified query //sessionId to qualified one by just prefixing. (Same rule goes for /xmlMessage query, please change all your queries to have prefix.)
    Here is the link to xpath spec which explains this in more detail.

    A QName in the node test is expanded into an expanded-name using the namespace
    declarations from the expression context. This is the same way expansion is
    done for element type names in start and end-tags except that the default
    namespace declared with xmlns is not used: if the QName does not have a
    prefix, then the namespace URI is null (this is the same way attribute names
    are expanded). It is an error if the QName has a prefix for which there is no
