Google Calendars not syncing to iPhone 6

As of about 3 days ago my google calendars stopped syncing to my iPhone 6 using iOS 8.1.1. I noticed some events were not syncing, going both directions. I removed Calendar Sync from my google gmail account, which deleted all of my google calendars for that account. Then I added calendar sync again. When I did that the calendars do not appear in my iOS calendars app. I've tried to refresh, i've deleted and added several times, but no calendars. I've even posted on the Google support page (https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/calendar/ios/jmqloVY4LmQ). I can't find anything to say why I'm having this issue or how to correct it. I've added it using all of the recommendations from Google, using a google account, and I've selected my calendars to sync. But It's not even showing my primary calendar now. Please help!

I had the same problem, but read this after the downgrade opportunity expired.  After almost 2 months I figured it out.  I set up the Gmail/Google Calendar/Google Contacts on my iPhone as an Exchange Account many years ago.  Google discontinued this in 2013 for all new users, though it still worked for me (until Nov 17th).  Google now uses CardDAV for Contacts and CaIDAV for Calendar (since 2013).  They recommend using the Gmail app for their mail.  Here is a link on how to set up Gmail/Contacts/Google Calendar: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/3008051?hl=en
I did this yesterday and now everything works.  I was surprised that there weren't more complaints about the issue (I thought there must be hundreds of thousands of people affected) but most people probably have it set up using the newer method, which obviously wasn't affected by iOS 8.1.1

Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g.
    Solution
Create backup of your entire mailbox before starting (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Create offline folder (.pst file) Check windows help on how to do this for your version.
    Open folders view on Outlook
Right click on Calendar in tree view and 'copy to' offline .pst folder
Go back to main calendar view and delete all entries in your calendar.
Create simple cal entry and sync test with iphone
If this works then start dragging cal entries back from the offline folder into the main calendar then sync after each step....
I moved events in this order
    -Yearly recurrences (ie Birthdays)
    - Monthly recurrences
    - weekly recurrences
    - Daily recurrences
All appointments from the beginning of this year >> to the end of time!
If all these sync then the issue is with an older cal item and you have to decide if you actually need these in you current calendar.
I chose to leave these in the offline cal and if i need access them from there.
If at any point the sync fails then you know you have a corrupt cal entry in the block you just transferred. Move the offending items back into the offline folder and try again in smaller chunks until you identify the offending items and delete them and manually recreate them in your real calendar.
Also smart to run the inbox (.pst /.ost ) repair tools for your OS/Outlook version.
    Fixed so far
    XP Pro / Outlook 2008
    XP Pro /Outlook 2003

I just updated the firmware to iPhone 2.0.1 and the syncing works great both ways.

  • Google calendar not syncing now

    hi,
im really hoping for some help.
I have previously been syncing my calendar on my iphone 3g with google calendar. everything has been working fine
however, I have had to use a new computer to upgrade my software on my phone.
now i cant get my calendar to sync with the new computer.
all the settings on the phone are the same.
any help will be much appreciated
    thanks in advance

Which iTunes version? In case of version 8.2 the issue is not related to your new computer but a general bug related to the new iTunes version.
You shold be able to bypass the issue as follows:
The problem can be bypassed as follows:
    For Windows XP
Use the following path to find the program "gconsync.exe": C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin
    right-mouse-click on the file gconsync.exe
    choose "properties"
    click on the "compatibility" tab
activate the tick box "compatibility mode" and chose "Windows 98"
You're done! No re-start of your computer necessary, just connect your iPhone to your computer, start iTunes, and experience syncing to work again.

  • Google calendars not syncing

Hi folks.  Just got an iPhone 6.  Not my first iPhone by any means so I do know what I'm doing.  FOr some reason, my google calendar will not sync.  I've tried changing the settings on how much is being synced, I've deleted the entire google account and resynced but nothing is working.  Yes I've rebooted.  Help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Also just FYI.  When I go to the Calendars app, it does not show a Google Calendar entry there.

  • Secondary google calendars not syncing

    Hello!
I have been successfully syncing my gmail account (mail, contacts, and calendar) with my iphone for several years now.  Recently, my secondary calendars have stopped being able to be accessed through the native calendar app. I don't know why.
I've gone here: https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect?pli=1 and checked all of my calendars, but still only the main one syncs.  My company uses google calendar to keep track of my comings and goings, and they're going to make me switch to Android if I don't get this sorted out SOON!
    Thanks for any help!

    I figured it out.
If anyone happens to come here via a search, here's the answer:
I had set up my Gmail account in my phone as an "exchange" account so that it pushes the mail.  That was the problem with the calendar.  It only synced one calendar.
I just turned off the "calendar" part of my "exchange" account (gmail) and then added a second gmail account (not as exchange, but as Gmail) and chose to only sync the calendar.  This made the phone use exchange to push the email, and CalDAV to push all of my google calendars.
    That was complicated.

  • Microsolft 2003 calendar not syncing with iphone (using itunes)

Basics: I have Win XP Pro, I use Microsoft 2003, I have an iphone 3G, and I sync my contacts, calendar, and notes using itunes 9.0.3. I don't use Outlook mail and don't sync using MS Exchange -- I just connect my iphone to the computer using a usb and sync with itunes.
Up until a week or two ago, I had no problems syncing. Now, while contacts and notes syncs fine, calendar does not sync at all (in either direction), even though itunes says it's "syncing calendar". I know this is not new (I see many posts about this), and I have scoured the discussion pages for advice already and tried everything I could. I looked at the following apple troubleshooting page and tried everything there: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1692. Specifically, this is what I have already done and nothing has worked:
    * I uninstalled the newest version of itunes (as well as quick time, bonjour, and the other software components that apple recommended I uninstall) and reinstalled 9.0.3
    * I uninstalled my Outlook 2003 and reinstalled
    * From itunes preferences, under devices, I "reset sync history" (and I have continued to do this before syncing after I try something new)
    * From itunes help, I ran "diagnostics" for "iphone sync tests" and no problems were noted. I have done this several times.
    * From within Outlook help, I ran "detect and repair" and no problems were noted
    * From within Outlook tools and advanced options, I clicked the "COM add-ins" button and removed 3rd party software
HOWEVER...the apple troubleshooting page referenced above suggested syncing content in a new user window, and that DID work! Moreover, when I copied my original Outlook.pst file to the new user account, the trouble starts again and no calendar syncing. And to continue the test, when I remove the original Outlook.pst and put back the new Outlook.pst file in the new user window, it works again. And for the final test, when I copy the new user Outlook.pst file to my main/real user account, the sync works perfectly. All this indicates the original Outlook.pst file is corrupted.
HOWEVER, Apple offers NO advice as to what to do next. The following is quoted from their troubleshooting page:
"Once you are logged into the new user account, create a few test contacts and/or calendar events in your compatible application of choice and attempt to sync that data to your iPhone or iPod touch. Does this newly created data sync properly? If so, you likely have an issue with your content in the original user which you will need to isolate."
Sooooo...what to do now? How do I "isolate" the problem any further?
Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

After fiddling a little more, the following fixed my corrupted outlook.pst file:
    1) I made a backup
    2) In outlook under file, I exported the calendar to excel
    3) In outlook under file, I imported the calendar back to outlook
    And voila, it worked.

  • Google calendar stopped syncing with iphone

We sync the iphone 4s with google calendar and yesterday the sync just stopped.  It still works fine with another iphone 4s, but this one just stopped syncing.  Any ideas from anyone out there?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

After searching all day I found this in another response to setup your account you must create a new account as an Microsoft Exchange account.
Follow the instructions provided by Google to set up your gmail account as an Exchange account on the iPhone. You can then sync calendars and contacts as well as receive push e-mail.

It took a minute or two to synch and appears to be working now!!

  • Google Calendar not syncing

I've spent hours trying to solve this with no solution and it's a major problem for me and an actual dealbreaker, so I'd like to thank you all in advance for any help you're able to offer. I rely heavily on Google Calendar and have two Gmail accounts - work and a Google Business email account. I use multiple Calendars for both accounts, and none seem to be supported by BlackBerry 10. Personal Gmail
After trying many times, two things keep happening:
1.) When I enter my Gmail details, contacts and emails are fine. Calendar also appears on the list, but when I open up the calendar app, only the local Calendar is shown. The devcal settings are there and correct, but nothing appears. 2.) Sometimes when I re-add the Gmail account to try and resolve this issue, I get an error message saying that it cannot connect or authenticate with the server. Again, no calendar. Work Gmail
With my work gmail account, I don't even get as far as the steps above. When I enter my details (via the specified Gmail selection in 'create new account', I only get email. Also, my work gmail contacts (with the database of company emails) also aren't showing up, meaning I have to type each work email address out manually. This is a real deal breaker for me and I'd really appreciate any help or input if this is happening to anyone else. I know I know I'm not the only one with this problem: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/calendar/5KEecRbDrCQ/1Nma0GkzuKgJ and have similar problems on my PlayBook. IS Google Calendar simply not supported in BB10? Because that's really quite bad. Coupled with the bad Maps app makes this a real deal breaker, which is a massive shame as I like everything else about the Z10 and BB10. Thanks for the help.

    Hello all,
I just picked up a Z10 on Tuesday in Canada and, like the rest of you, could not sync my Google calendars to the Z10 with the default Gmail setup. The following is an explanation of how I managed to sync multiple Google calendars (all linked to the same email address).
First, I followed the instructions posted by Blackberry to connect to Gmail through Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. That took care of syncing up my contacts, emails, and my primary google calendar. I also have a work calendar and a Canadian Holiday calendar linked to the same email address and I wanted those available on my phone without adding a bunch of different accounts.
Next I followed these directions to sync up all of my google calendars. They are written for the Playbook, but it's the same process for the Z10. I also enabled "Delete Email as Trash", because when I click "delete email" I don't want to archive it, despite Google setting that as the default behaviour... Needless to say, piecing together this information was quite a task, and enabling multiple calendar sync is way more complicated than it should be. I have read that Google is not supporting new ActiveSync activations for free users, so this method may not work for people who have never used ActiveSync with Google. I'm not sure if the problem is on Blackberry's side or Google's, but this type of bug is probably only scaring new Blackberry users away. I hope that the issue is resolved soon.

  • Google calendar not syncing anymore with my BB and vice-versa

    Hi everyone!
A few days ago, I updated my BB curve 9360 to OS 7.1 and earlier today I noticed that my Google calendar was not syncing properly... Well wasn't syncing at all. However I received mails and was able to delete them correctly
First I noticed, that my email address was not registered as a calendar anymore. Then I tried to send service books which added my Google calendar as default calendar in my BlackBerry (good thing I guess).
But that's all it did. Now, when I add a new event in Google calendar using my BB, it doesn't sync with the Internet-based calendar and when I add a new event in Google calendar, it does not sync with my BB either (and I have waited more than 30 minutes).
So here is what I can do to try and solve this problem:
-Send service books one more time but I don't think it is very useful
-Delete my email account and setting it up once again
So I am completely lost because it has always worked until I updated my OS from 7.0 to 7.1. My data plan hasn't changed.
    Thank you for your help
    Regards,

    Hi ThomasDM,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
To resolve this issue with calendar synchronization, please try forcing a Gmail® synchronization on the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 smartphone. Before doing this could you please verify once more that your default calendar on the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 smartphone is still listed as your Gmail® account?
    1. Click the Menu key > Options > under Accounts click the Gmail® account > remove the Checkmark from Wireless Synchronization > click the Back menu key and Save
    2. Under Accounts click the Gmail® account > place a Checkmark in the Wireless Synchronization   box > click the Back menu key and Save
Note: The following prompt will appear " Some of your calendar changes might be lost. Enable wireless Calendar?" Yes or No. Click Yes
    Hope this helps.

  • ICloud calendar not syncing to iPhone, iCloud calendar not syncing to iPhone

On my phone, I have a calendar called Calendar. On my Mac, and on iCloud.com, I have Work and Home. I cannot find an option to get the Work and Home sent out to the phone... any help?

I was having a similar problem where Calendar events I would add to my iPhone would not sync to my iPad or iCloud.  What I realized is that in Calendar settings on my iPhone there is a calendar which is listed "On My iPhone" as simply "Calendar".  That was where all my default events would go.  Somehow, though, on my iPad and iCloud, only "Work" calendar entries seemed to sync.
Now I never really differentiated - I somehow stumbled into different calendars.  This is the only way I figured out that "Work" was syncing across all levels.  So this may not work for everyone who likes to separate Work and Home, but I edited my future events to change them to the "Work" calendar - and will make all entries in "Work" from now on - and now it all syncs.
Maybe there's another fix, but I think for my particular case - where most of my calendar entries are made on my iPhone - and were made in the default "Calendar" calendar, it works now.

  • Facebook birthdays in Google Calendar not showing on iPhone 4S

I wanted to add birthdays to my iPhone's calendar, and the easiest way I found to add so many birthdays was to add them to Google Calendar using Facebook's URL export feature. On my iPhone, although all the calendars are checked off to show in the app, there's absolutely nothing showing up from my Google Calendar. Any ideas how to fix that?

Restarting my phone fixed it! Now everything appears.

  • Calendars not syncing on iPhone 4S

A few days ago I realized that events created on my home Mac were no longer syncing through iCloud to my phone. This had been working perfectly through MobileMe since November (when I purchased the phone), and also on iCloud after I made the switch in March. It seems that the problems arrived in mid-May with the release and update to iOS 5.1.1, which seems to have solved my iCloud battery drain issue by making it not sync at all anymore.
I know I'm not the only person experiencing problems with iCloud syncing, but I'm not seeing this problem specifically in the discussions. It has basically rendered my phone's calendar completely useless, as entries are not syncing to or from the phone, and this is a serious problem for usage. I've tried and tested all the standard fixes such as restarting, forcing refreshes, turning off/on iCloud, etc. with no results (or an occasional event syncing, but not the majority).
All syncing is working across my other devices (iMac, MacBook, and iCloud.com).
Is there any fix to this, or do I just have to wait for iOS 6 and pray?

Isn't that always the way things go. So not two minutes after I posted this question I found the culprit that was causing my problem.
My phone was set to sync "Events 2 Weeks Back", which apparently doesn't sync anything past that point (useful, huh?). Switching this setting (Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Calendars>Sync) to "All Events" immediately caused all of my events to show up, although it seems I may have lost some events created on my phone in the process.
Not a huge deal though, and maybe this will help someone else, as I haven't seen this setting mentioned in the other troubleshooting posts.

  • Google calendar not syncing wirelessly

I'm on a bell 9780. I've had my email and calendar working perfectly until 1 month ago. Now my Google calendar won't wirelessly sync. I double checked my settings and it's setup correctly.
    I've tried
    1. soft reboot
    2. hard reboot
    3. spoke to bell tech support - they had me pull my battery & SIM, then reinsert, go into host routing table and reinitialize on the network as they resent the service books.
Nothing has worked. The only thing that changed 1 month ago is that I updated the RIM app world application
Bell has told me to contact RIM as they wrote the software
    Any suggestions??

This is happening to me now as well, ever since I updated from OS 5 to OS 6.0.0.415. All the options for wireless sync are there but it just doesn't seem to work.
Do I need Google Sync installed? I thought that since the last BIS update this wasn't needed any longer.

  • ICal calendars not syncing with iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.2

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0.2
I'm using iCal on my MBP running Mac OS 10.6.4
    I have a MobileMe account.
Never had an issue with calendars syncing with the iPhone previously.
I am using MobileMe Calendar Beta. This now displays my calendars in iCal under my MobileMe account name (eg. [email protected]) rather than the 'On My Mac' section that it use to.
I have five separate calendars in iCal on the Mac all named appropriately (eg. Work, Personal etc.) and all that appears on the iPhone is one calendar named 'Calendar' with no events in it??
I've used MobileMe (.Mac) and iPhone syncing for years and have them set up as I always have.
Does anyone have the same issues? Does anyone have any constructive advise?
    Thanks
    Jeff

Wendy G. : Please switch them to off, "Do not Merge" and "Delete"
Wendy G. : Once that is complete, then you will switch them to "On" using the same process, by selecting "Do not Merge" once again and "Delete" from the phone.
Devendra : Switched it off but after turning On again, it didnt ask me for anything, simply the switch turned to On
Wendy G. : OK, thank you.
Wendy G. : Please place a test contact and a test event on the iPhone, and also place on your Mac, to verify if the syncing has resolved OK.
Devendra : ok, pl hold on
Wendy G. : OK, take your time.
Devendra : my contacts list on the phone is empty
Wendy G. : Yes, that is expected.
Wendy G. : Please put a test contact there and the information will refresh from www.me.com
Wendy G. : Also please verify your iPhone is set this way:
Wendy G. : Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>MobileMe account, tap it>Fetch new data>Set your Push to "on" and select "every 15 minutes please.
Devendra : yes, its that way only
Wendy G. : OK, thank you.
Devendra : Just as I was creating a new contact, all the contacts came back.
Wendy G. : Once you have the test event and contact on the iPhone and the Mac, please open www.me.com and verify when they arrive there!
Wendy G. : OK, very good, thanks Devendra!
Devendra : Bingo! Its syncing fine now.
