Google Chrome Browser, can't log on to SDN or Service.SAP

Hello all,
Has anyone been able to use the new Google Chrome browser to log on to this forum or Service.SAP?  I get the following error: "Error 110 (net::ERR_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT_NEEDED): Unknown error."
I am using the same certificate in Chrome that I am using in IE and Firefox.  Those two browsers have no problem connecting to this forum or Service.SAP.
Any suggestion are appreciated.
Thanks
Bruce

  • Why can Google Chrome browser display PDF that Reader cannot?

    I have a large PDF of a 2300-person family tree (400 pages if printed) that I am trying to share with family.  The PDF is produced by MacFamilyTree on Mac OS X 10.8.4  It has the ability to simply "Save" the Graph as a PDF and I can also ask it to "Print" and inside the "Print Dialog" I can ask it to "Save as PDF".  I have created the PDF both ways, and have the same problems with both.
    Using Mac OS X 10.8 and Apple's Preview program, I can view the PDF and search inside the PDF just fine.  If only all my relatives were on Macs my problems would be solved.  But alas, they are predominantly on Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8) with all the annoyances that are entailed in trying to help troubleshoot non-technical people who have no idea what software they have or have not installed or updated.
    Using the Google Chrome browser on Windows 7 (64-bit) and on Mac OS X 10.8.4 I can view the PDF, but search fails.  Being able to see the family tree will certainly be a bonus to family members, but the first thing they all want to do is "Find Myself" in the tree.  So getting a solution that both displays and allows for search (like Preview does) is what I'm hoping for.
    These other browers (Safari, IE, FireFox) all the latest and greatest, downloaded today with fresh installs, fail to display the PDF on both OSes (obivously, IE was only on Win7 - not 100% sure which version it was, probably 9).
    Acrobat Reader, version 9.5, and the current latest version on both Win7 and Mac OS X fail to display the PDF at all.
    If I reduce the scope of the family tree, down to say 300 people, then pretty much all of these programs are able to display it just fine.  Search is still mostly broken, but display works.  If I reduce it even futher to just a couple dozen people, then display and search works great everywhere.
    The largest file itself is only a tad larger than 4MB.
    The document is not very complex - just a bunch of lines connecting people to their spouses/children/parents and small boxes around each "person" with their name and a little bit of other text, like wedding/divorce and death information.
    It's as if all the engineering teams (other than Chrome and Preview) decided to impose an artificial limit on the size of single PDF "page" and the family tree has simply gone past that limit.
    Any suggestions?  Any chance Reader can be tweaked to be at least as good as the Google Chrome browser or Apple's Preview programs?

    I think you might be hitting a page size limit of 200 x 200 inches in Adobe software. Larger files typically appear blank.

  • HT5313 I cannot download & open pdf files on Safari but can do so on Google Chrome browser?

    After upgrading to Lion 10.7.4 , I cannot open pdf files on Safari 5.1.7 but can do so on Google chrome browser? I get a message that the file cannot be exported?

    look in
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    and remove any with 'pdf' in the name, then restart safari.
    failing that - check in the same folder within your user 'home' Library
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    in either case, you can triple-click the names above to select, then ctrl-click & choose Services - Open which should open a new Finder window showing the folder

  • Problem with opening PDF files in Google Chrome browser

    We have a web page displaying links to dynamically generated PDF files located on the internal repository. This files are not just text PDF files but PDF forms created using XFA technology. This means that they must be opened and filled only in Adobe Reader and not in Foxit Reader or browser's built-in PDF viewer.
    Now, the problem is that a Google Chrome browser opens any PDF file using its own PDF viewer. And I want to force this browser to open PDF files in Adobe Reader.
    How can I achieve this without disabling 'Chrome PDF Viewer' plugin since I can't do this for all users of our web site?
    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    P.S. We use LiveCycle ES3.

    Each user would have to set each browser individually.
    Note: I don't think it's possible to set the default PDF viewer with code for every user who visits the site.
    See the following link to enable Adobe Reader as the default PDF viewer in different browsers:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/display-pdf-browser-acrobat-xi.html
    Note: Not all PDF viewer browser plug-ins support PDF submissions, and most 3rd party viewers may not support forms created with LiveCycle or forms with Extended Reader Rights enabled.

  • SWF is not loading in Google Chrome browser.

    Hello,
    My project is developed in adobe flash builder which used sdk 4.0.
    But from last few month it creates one problem with Google Chrome browser.
    Some times swf which reside in my .aspx page is not loading and i am getting white background in swf.
    This is looke like flash player does not rendering proper so i show white back ground in swf.
    But when i try this link in different tab then it is working.
    Any one have idea how can i solve this issue ?
    OS System          :   Window 7
    Chome  Version  :   28.0.1500.72
    Thanks,
    Mohit

    Best way is to try to catch it in the debugger.  If you search the internet, other folks have had problems.  Some are bugs in the google chrome version of Flash, but for others, small differences in the stage size caused their app to never finish its initial layout.

    Welcome to the forums Etow,
    I saw your post about the issue you are having with printing from Google Chrome. Have you tried disabling your pop up blocker to see if that will help? Also see this guide about Printing with Chrome.
    If the above does not help, try using Firefox or Internet Explorer to print.

  • What can I do if  shockwave flash player is constantly crashing on google chrome browser ?

    What can I do if shockwave flash player is constantly crashing on google chrome ?

    I think Google Chrome is more easy to troubleshoot. Try this:
    1. Open Chrome.
    2. Click the far-right Icon (Customize and control Google Chrome).
    3. Select about Google Chrome. It check if Google Chrome is up to date and if not it'll get update.
    4. You must wait until a GREEN check mark appear saying your Google Chrome is up to date.
    5. Remember, you don't need to get Adobe Flash Player separately because Google Chrome has it own integrated Player.
    6. Accept Google Chrome constant upgrade to their Chrome browser.
    Wishing you Good Luck!

  • Watching certain video is slow and pauses on Google Chrome Browser

    Hello, I was hoping someone could help me out with this.
    I watch a fair amount of videos on www.cnet.com and I use Google Chrome as my main web browser.  I have a 13" MBA purchased in Jan 2011 running OS X 10.6.8
    Whenever I watch the videos, the audio plays without a problem but the video will lag/stutter making it impossible to watch without wanting to throw something at my MBA.  When I try the videos on Safari there is on video lag/stutter at all.  It is not the internet connection either as you can see the video loading fine and as I said, Safari does not behave in the same way.  I know I can switch to using Safari as my default browser but I really enjoy Chrome's features and would like to keep using it.  If anyone has any ideas what the problem might be I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance.
    HR

    Replying to an email is not the only time it lags and freezes.  I went to edit a contact's information the other day and when I clicked on the Contacts button, the iCloud Mail window lagged and froze again.  Sometimes, when I log out, the Google Chrome plug-in will crash and I have to refresh the page.

  • PDF form not populating Subject line in email when submitted in Google Chrome browser

    Google Chrome doesn’t seem to work, but all other browser do.  In Chrome the subject line and location populate the CC: and BCC: fields in email client and not the subject line?
    My current javascript is:
    if (email != "")
                    this.mailDoc({bUI:false,cTo:email,cSubject:location,cMsg:"Completed Employee Appointment Request Attached"});
    *I'm sure something can be added or fixed to resolve this so it will work in all browsers.  It is important to me that it work well in IE, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.  The big four browsers anyways.
    Sample image of issue:  Basically user is forced to delete bcc: and then click send.    Thus no subject line.  Which means a manual move to location folder from inbox will be necessary, because I have rule setup to sort the inbox based on subject line.

    My final solution was to post the form and offer a link to dowload/install Adobe Reader and to also offer a link for Chrome users.
    * I will continue to look for a better solution, but at least the above is functioning.
    **I also set my bUI to true.
    Many thanks, Tim
    P.S.  I did report this to Google Chrome, heard nothing yet.  Also if you think of a better solution let me know.  I'm not familiar with javascript........I have a better understanding of HTML.......if this were HTML I would have done the below.
    <html>
    <body>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    alert("this is an alert");
    function go() {
                    alert("Hi");
                    var location = document.getElementById("location").value;
                    //console.println("location: = " + location);
                    var email = "";
                    email = "[email protected]";
                    if (location == "Select a location")
                                                    alert("You need to select a location first");
                    else if (location == "Other")
                                    email = "[email protected]";
                    if (email != "")
                                    //this.mailDoc({bUI:true,cTo:email,cSubject:location,cMsg:"Completed Employee Appointment Request Attached"});
                                                    window.open('mailto:' + email + '?subject=' + encodeURIComponent(location));
    </script>
                    This is a test
                    <input type="text" id="location" value="Select a location">
                    <input type="button" value="submit" onclick="go()">
    </body>
    </html>

  • Launch Reader from PDF file in Google Chrome browser PDF viewer

    Hello!
    So I have a fillable PDF form which runs document level JavaScript to essentially render itself inactive (hides fields, etc.) if opened in anything other than Reader or Acrobat. This works great, especially in Google Chrome has known problems with submitting fillable PDF forms properly.
    Here is an example form: https://luxsci.com/forms/6296/2251/Qlg5/Medical_Center_Intake_Form.pdf
    Open in Chrome and it's unusable, there's a warning layer, and a JavaScript alert. Open in Reader or Acrobat and it renders fine and submit works great.
    When the file is downloaded in Chrome it's saved locally, i.e. Chrome displays the file URL as: file:///C:/Users/David/Downloads/Medical_Center_Intake_Form%20(3).pdf
    I am trying to make the process of opening the file from Chrome in reader as simple as possible for the end user. As such, I am wondering if there is a way to add a button which will launch Reader on the end-user's desktop/laptop and open this file?
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your comments, but that isn't the issue. We provide form processing services and have developed an effective workaround via document level JS to render the form unusable and non-submittable (is that a word?!) if opened in anything other than Adobe Reader or Acrobat. The complaint we are trying to deal with is that non-tech savvy users can't figure out how to open the PDF in Reader when Chrome auto opens it for them in the built-in broken Chrome PDF viewer.
    While I could certainly provide instructions for how to install/enable the Adobe Reader plugin in Chrome, the point is to avoid requiring the non tech savvy end-user to do anything other than click a button to open the file in Reader. So asking them to install/configure the adobe PDF plugin in their browser is not a feasible solution. So what I want is this:
    -PDF opens in Chrome's built-in PDF viewer and user sees notice that they can't use the form in the current program.
    -User can click a button saying "Open this file in Adobe Reader"
    -Clicking the button launches the local computer's Reader application, and opens the file. The PDF is then rendered normally and can be filled out and submitted as normal.
    I don't really think it's possible because of browser security restrictions against launching executables, but since the browser is just showing an embedded locally downloaded PDF file, I thought maybe there's a way...
    Thanks!

  • Using AirPlay through Google Chrome Browser

    I'm trying to use Airplay to play catch-up TV from the Ninemsn website to a Samsung smart TV via Google Chrome.  All starts OK and the advert plays fine with video and audio.  When the selected program starts, however, the audio disappears.  Have tested with Safari and all is OK.  Is there an add-in for Google Chrome or is this just a 'feature'?

    Unfortunately Google Chrome is still in Beta version and has a lot of issues that still need sorting out. It's javascript engine is not fully compatible from what I've experienced and there are other "glitches" that should be standard on any browser. When they iron out those things, then maybe it will be worth it, but I'm personally waiting for a stable version that I can use on all the websites I usually visit.
