Google Chrome Calendar Reminders
I have several calendars set up in Google Chrome. One of the shared calendars keeps sending me reminders for every event, even though I turned off reminders in the Google settings for this calendar. The reminders show up as notifications on my iPhone, no where else.
Mavericks utilize RAM a bit differently that previous OS ver.
It trys to utilize all available RAM that you throw at it, this is normal.

With Chrome open to iCloud calendar, hold down the Ctrl button and press the 0 (zero) button. This will fix your problem. Did mine!

How do you locate your saved passwords on google chrome on an iMac desktop?
My iMac with OSX Lion 10.7.4 installed was recently reset to factory specs and had a clean install of the operating system.
I have a back up on time machine on an external drive.
I had many passwords and bookmarks on google chrome
is it possible to locate them on the back up?
if so how do I do that?

Webpage comes out blank when print in firefox, prints fine in google chrome?

It prints everything EXCEPT for the data in the calendar! Which is what I need! I can see everything in print preview. but when I print it either to a printer or to a pdf, the data in the calender is blank!
This does not happen in Google Chrome, but I prefer firefox! And don't want to use 2 different browsers.

The events in the calendar are set to 85% opacity, meaning 15% transparency. For some reason, this is causing them not to print. Setting the opacity of those items to 100% (0% transparency) fixes it.
To test, you can use Firefox's Web Console.
First, select and copy the following long line of script:

Next, while viewing the calendar in month view, press Ctrl+Shift+k to open the Web Console. Paste next to the caret (») and press Enter to run it. Then print (I've been testing by printing to PDF). Does it work for you, too?
In my opinion, you can get a more useful printed result with two other tweaks:
* Allowing the full descriptions to show instead of truncating them
* Adding page breaks before and after the calendar
This is the longer script incorporating those changes:

Those changes will be visible in Print Preview in case you only want to print the actual calendar page(s) and not the before and after parts.
If you find that you need to apply this hack often, you can save it as a bookmarklet, which is a bookmark that runs a script. Here's the slightly modified script:

Right-click the Bookmarks Toolbar or Bookmarks Menu (wherever you want to add the "button") and choose New Bookmark. Paste into the Location field, then assign a name (e.g., PrintCal) and click Add Bookmark to save it.
Alternately, since these are purely style rules, you could use the Stylish extension or the userContent.css file to apply them any time you visit the page. But it's late so that will have to be a subject for a different post.

I have a problem with my calendar reminders disappearing as soon as the event time starts. Lets say I have an event at 12p and I have the calendar app set to alert me 5 minutes before. I get the alert 5 minutes before, but if I do not look at the phone or do not hear it and then later go to the phone there is no indication that an alert happened.
In the reminders app I get something like "conf call 5 min ago) or whatever amount of time it has been. This alert stays in the notification center until I dismiss it.
I would like the alert to stayin the notification center until I dismiss it. Anyway to do this?
I'm syncing with Google calendar if that helps.I have the same question. It's very frustrating that the calendar dismisses itself out of the notifications area without the user DISMISSING it.
Did you find a work around? I rely heavily on calendar reminders to keep me on task. -
Calendar reminders (notifications) still NOT working, even after 602 update.....
So, Verizon Wireless released the 602 update to the Gingerbread OS for the Droid X, and the calendar reminder popups (notifications) are still NOT working properly.
This is VERY frustrating, as I use these notifications (reminder pop ups) for everything from business related (meetings, etc) to personal (when to take medicines, etc).
It's also VERY frustrating because BEFORE Gingerbread, when the Droid X ran Froyo, there was NOT a problem with the calendar and its reminders.
I would assume that there are MANY, MANY people being affected by this issue...and I wonder why Verizon hasn't "put the heat" on Google to FIX this issue which is clearly related to the Android OS, more specifically, Gingerbread.
I used to like the Droid X very much, but now I'm counting the days until I can get an iPhone. At least you know what you're getting, and won't have an update "break" functions of the phone.
So, Verizon, if you're listening... PLEASE get this calendar notification problem FIXED.
Thank you!!I'm the original poster of this topic. And let me tell you the steps that I went through to try to get this resolved, and then I'll let you know the ultimate solution that I wound up doing and am happy about (but am NOT happy about Verizon & Motorola).
1) updated DroidX to latest 602 update.
2) went into admin partition and deleted cache
still did not work
3) went into admin partition and did hard reset (complete restore) from inside the admin partition
Still did not get calendar reminders to work.
4) went into normal phone and accessed "Restore Phone to Factory Specs" from the Privacy menu in settings. This caused the phone to do a similar hard reset as in step 3, except it also ran the beginning software (welcome to your Droid, we now have to activate your phone, etc).
Calendar reminders did not work. (REMEMBER... when I say they did not work, I mean that the reminders would go off EVENTUALLY , but anywhere from 30mins AFTER the appointment to literally HOURS AFTER the appointment).
5) Created a COMPLETELY NEW AND DIFFERENT calendar at Google under a DIFFERENT screen name/account. Configured DroidX to completely forget the original calendar and to start using the NEW one.
Reminders still did NOT work properly.
6) Once again, tried hard resets.
NOPE. Still did NOT work.
7) CALLED Verizon Wireless and described my problem and they pretty much didn't/couldn't help and said they would "send a report to the engineering team" about the problem.
And HERE is the thing that REALLY BURNED ME UP about this WHOLE ENTIRE DEBACLE..... my DroidX worked 100% correctly BEFORE the Gingerbread upgrade to the Android OS. When it was running Froyo (previous OS), every single calendar reminder on my original calendar worked every single time, on time, every time. BUT... AFTER Gingerbread, it just didn't work. (Don't get me started with the phantom powering on of the phone after it was powered off problem that STILL exists after the 602 upgrade).
SO.......... what did I eventually do??? Well, by this time, I was eligible for early upgrade at upgrading pricing and switched to the iPhone4 (I didn't want the 4S). AND YOU KNOW WHAT??? Using the ORIGINAL GOOGLE calendar that I used before all the above stuff happened, my reminders on the iPhone4 work all the time, every time. These include appointments that I made 8 months ago to new ones that I make every day. And for all of them, the iPhone4 sets the reminder chime off EXACTLY when I want it to.
Now, I realize that this doesn't address the problem for you, Ganamide (who wrote above), but for me, I finally got to the point where I had missed critical appointments with clients and couldn't wait around for the DroidX Calendar Reminder Problem to be resolved.
So Verizon Wireless and Motorola (maker of DroidX) and Google (maker of Android OS) all have "negative points" in my book for allowing such a problem to continue without proper resolution. Apple, on the other hand, gets "positive points" in my book for making a product that is rock solid and works well. -
Google Chrome and Skype Won't Start / Crashing After 10.9.2 Update
I installed 10.9.2 today and am unable to start Google Chrome, Google Chrome Canary, or Skype. All 3 of them seem to be failling on the same piece of code ("FillInSystemVersionInfoFromString"). Has anyone else seen this issue? Could it be related to some other conflicting software? I don't see the issue with any other installed applications, and the same thing happens when I try starting the apps from a brand new user account. I also already tried to re-seat the 4 RAM sticks, no dice.

How do I sync my Windows 8.1 Calendar App to Google's Calendar via Gmail?
I am setting up my calendar through my HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC.
I have my business email address setup through Gmail... which I have a Calendar App on my phone for.
How do I sync the two?

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.
I am afraid that you cannot use the built-in Windos 8/8.1 Calendar app with Google services:

The MS vs Google "battle" prevents this. A workaround Microsoft suggest is to import your Google Calendar to Outlook, which is not suitable for business email.
I suggest you install some additional application such as Google Chrome with their apps inside or Microsoft Outlook (part of MS Office), or different. If this is business/company email, I suggest you check with your local helpdesk or local company support guys.

I use the iCalendar that comes with the iPad. At home on my desktop PC I access iCloud through Google Chrome. All appointments at home get entered on the PC, throughout the day. I like to keep this page open but it invariably gets closed down, and each time I open it I am required to enter username and password, despite the fact I always check the optional box, "Always stay signed in". Frequently I need instant access to this calendar. I also have Last Pass installed, but it doesn't see pop-up sign-ins. Anyone have suggestions?Do you mean on the website at www.iCloud.com, or in the iCloud contol panel at System Preferences>iCloud

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Google Chrome not populating popups working correctly with pop ups.
If incorrect forum, just alert and move. I am having an issue with hosted Microsoft Dynamics 2013 and Google Chrome latest release, 31. This just started with the hosted version of Dynamics CRM 2013, Chrome had been working correctly with
our earlier version of CRM.
When users on latest version of Chrome, 31, login to Dynamics CRM 2013, everything looks fine. Issue is specifically, for sales folks, when they open a client record, and where the client info is located, there is a standard date and time and tiny
little calendar you can pull up if you click on it. When the user clicks on the tiny little calendar, they DO get a pop up, but the pop up is blank. And, there is no error message at all. Nothing freezes, nothing bad happens at all, except
for the salesperson, who live and die by their calendars and ability to schedule appointments and see exiting appointments.
This is not some in house coding issue. It is a generic CRM phone call record that has this issue.
Again, no errors, nothing crashes, but Dynamics CRM 2013 is useless to Google Chrome users in house because of this. Which, in a support position, is terrible. Users who got an upgrade, have their favorite interface rendered useless. And these
are sales folks. And, I did all settings according to what I was able to find for CRM 2010 and Chrome, for when pop ups do not work, and all settings were already correct for pop ups, website is in trusted sites, etc, which is what I expected, since
everything worked on CRM 2010.
Any clues or ideas? Thank You.

Google embeded calendar for internet explore
Hey guys,
since i have been writing my site lately by hand. i tried i to view the page in internet explore. but the google calendar only likes to show in google chrome. i know, i know, i get it the embeded code is only for chrome. is their any way to have it show in internet explore when you try to view the page?try this. Edit Browser then click, defaults click primary browser.

The problem I'm encountering is on an iMac 24" from 2008, Intel Core 2Duo 1.3 GHz processor. I'm running 10.7.3 but have yet to install the client combo update.
My computer would not wake from sleep this morning after having been left on all night. The last two apps I had been running last night before this morning's freeze up were Google Chrome and iTunes. I restarted the computer and noticed at the login screen that one of the login accounts that is normally set up for use had disappeared. Once I logged in to my account, which had not disappeared, and arrived at the desktop, Chrome automatically tried to relaunch and restore the previous session with a note indicating that the browser had not been quit properly.
iTunes was running as well but had no functionality - non responsive to mouse click commands, etc. About thirty seconds later the rainbow wheel appeared and began spinning.
Tried force quitting both applications applications respectively but the finder was non-responsive as well. The dock would pop up when moused over but I was not permitted to select any of the icons. Restarted the computer and essentially the same thing occurred but I was able to quit out of iTunes this time before the rainbow wheel started.
Tried restarting with all peripheral hardware disconnected. No change. Tried booting up in safe mode - didn't work. Rebooted in disk utility mode - ran disk verification and was told all was well. Ran permissions verifications and was told there were problems. Repaired the permissions issues successfully. Rebooted again but same issue with desktop/apps freezing up. Rebooted into Disk Utility mode and tried a reinstall of lion - reinstall successul but upon normal reboot desktop still frozen once I launched Chrome and attempted to get to apple site to download the 10.7.3 patch.
Tried rebooting in disk utility mode to restore from a time machine back up - the external hard drive where my back ups are stored did not appear as a restore source even though I had reconnected the USB cable.
I then rebooted again into disk utility mode and tried to use safari to navigate to the apple site and download the 10.7.3 client combo update. No dice - received error messages saying the download could not be completed because there was insufficient memory available.
Called Apple - rep said I should take the computer in to the store - refused as of the time of the call because I had already wasted half the day on this and didn't want to flush the remainder down the toilet hanging around at the Apple store. So much for that - the day is now totally wasted any way.
Another couple of bits of information which may or may not be helpful:
When I'm in disk utility mode the disk image icon at the top of the list of disk images/mounts on the left hand side of the utility window is in red text: 320.07 GB WDC WD320...and the main dialogue box says: "This drive has a hardware problem that can't be repaired. Back up Data and see Apple dealer for help." One might conclude that my computer is therefore dead...not exactly. This happened once before after trying to set up a bootcamp partition using XP instead of windows 7. XP is not supported by Lion but I was trying a work around. Soon thereafter I upgraded my OS to 10.7.2 (or.3 can't remember) using software updater instead of a full native download from the Apple Support site and the computer went bananas. After the upgrade I was getting the CUI ???? errors which have since become infamous. While working with Apple phone support on the CUI issue and using disk utility on that issue, that same red text disc image came up and the note about my hardware having failed as described above. Apple told me I was cooked and my machine was finished. They were wrong. I can't remember what I did but I worked on the problem a bit more and was eventually able to upgrade my OS from the native download and get my machine back in order and runnign fine.
I recently attempted the bootcamp partition (stupidly) work around for XP again without success - last week before all of the latest drama set in. YES I have learned my lession and will not attempt this again.
So that's what's going on - sorry for the Moby Dick lenght description but I figured the more details available the more likely some one is to know how to fix the problem.
Any thoughts, suggestions, HELP please!!!

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Browser: Google Chrome 15
