Google Chrome instant shutdown after ML installation
Same as iPhoto, Google Chrome does not open anymore and shuts down instantly after ML installation. Anyone know how to solve this? Thanks!
A new thing i can reproduce this with both psu with only the 24 pins in I'm able to power on the mobo and I'm able to get the code 'FF' if my research are correct it mean that there not atx cable plug into the 8 pins so then my theory is that the 8 pins initialisation is before the cpu so the mobo does boot but without the cpu at that moment but when it in then because the cpu is dead in the millisecond of the boot process the system shut down without giving a code because for some reason it cant. So i like to know from someone of MSI if that could be it does it mean the cpu is dead?

Silverlight and google chrome not working after system update
I just did a system update and now google chrome and the silverlight plugin do not work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both numerous times, restarted, and checked for updates again but nothing works. What's going on?
Check compatibility with their respective vendors.

Just got new Macbook Pro 15' Retina and Google Chrome instantly crashes
I already tried reinstalling it many times, but no dice.
I literally just came from my local apple tech store and got some of my applicatons and files transfered, since I was having problems transfering. Now that they transfered as much as they could, couldn't download third party programs like Adobe Photoshop etc, Google Chrome stops working for me. Currently: Very frustrated and angry.
Google Chrome just gives me this message immediately:

Google Chrome logout/shutdown
I'm not sure if this is due to Snow Leopard or Google Chrome, however when I try to log out or shut down my MacBook Pro, I get the message "The application Google Chrome canceled logout. To try again, quit Google Chrome and choose Log Out from the Apple Menu." Is it only me or do other users of Chrome have this problem? Also, is there a fix?
Thank youI've had this happen to me too and only since the newest version of Chrome came out. I think we'll have ti wait for google to come out with a fix or update.

Aur/google-chrome hover problem after upgrade
Hi,
I've upgraded aur/google-chrome package to 41.0.2272.76-1 version and I met following issue:
Hovering is not working properly - there is no mouse over event fired - when I move over some link or input text - nothing happens, even cursor does not change.
Did anyone have this issue too ?
Thanks,
hsz

Google Chrome keeps crashing after upgrading to 10.8
I've researched the issue and it seems pretty common. I can't find any solution though. It crashes after a few seconds after being open. Usually after opening a second tab. I've tried deleting the profile for chrome and starting fresh, fully uninstalling and reinstalling, booting into safemode like some suggested and a few other things with no luck. Anybody have this issue and manage to fix it.
Try disabling Chrome plugins and extensions. One or more may be causing Chrome to crash.

990FXA-GD80 + fx-8120 bios v.11.6 instant shutdown after starting win7 rating
(So first english is my second language so i may do some typo error or weird pharse just so you know it)
Here my story just got my 990FXA-GD80 with a fx-8120 and gskill f3-17000cl11d-8gbxl the system work well when i was setting evreything (i must say that it was not a new installation) the memory for the moment was only running at 1600mhz so i didn't fix that right away i was saving it for later the only modification i did it to change the multiplier to 18 and that was it so when evreything look ok i said to myself let update my win7 rating to see what this machine give me and after about 10 to 20 sec. the system shut down.
Here what i can see and whay i did try another psu 500watt from coolermaster (i use a 750 from sea sonic) when i press the power button on the board with the 500 nothing happen or move with my 750 i can hear a clicking noise to say it powering on and as mush as im aware it normal the fan turn for about 2 sec. then nothing anymore and i mush say for both psu the power buton led stay on (i try those test without video card and memory nothing plug on the mobo beside the 24 pins and 8 pins and too 5 sata cable connected too but i dont think that could change any thing)
If you have any question fell free i will do my best to answer them.
My possible conclusion mobo or cpu die? I go more for the cpu but it could be the mobo too so what could it be?
p.s. The debug LED panel is not showing anythingA new thing i can reproduce this with both psu with only the 24 pins in I'm able to power on the mobo and I'm able to get the code 'FF' if my research are correct it mean that there not atx cable plug into the 8 pins so then my theory is that the 8 pins initialisation is before the cpu so the mobo does boot but without the cpu at that moment but when it in then because the cpu is dead in the millisecond of the boot process the system shut down without giving a code because for some reason it cant. So i like to know from someone of MSI if that could be it does it mean the cpu is dead?

Ipad air google chrome wont open after downloading on the app store
did all the right things anybody know a simple fix
I found this post made by Dominic Feira and it helped me.
After GarageBand has completed downloading and installing all of it's extras, remove the GarageBand preferences file and relaunch GarageBand. This took care of it for me.
To do this in the Finder:
Select Go -> Go to Folder...
Type: ~/Library/Preferences
Locate the com.apple.garageband.plist file
Move it to your desktop.
Relaunch GarageBand.
This should take care of this problem. -
Google Chrome isn't working with Windows 8.1
I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and then was prompted to load new drivers from the HP assistant. After several restarts, now when I try and use Google Chrome, I get a blank screen. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
This question was solved.

MBP C2D 2,16 GHz instantly shutdown when unplugged
Morning.
Since today my MBP C2D instantly shutdowns after appr. 2 sec when the power adapter becomes unplugged. If I only unplug the MBP for less then 2 seconds it remains working.
And without power adapter it's not possible to start the the MBP. When I press the on/off button, it clicks, the fans and the HDD begin to race but after less than a second it shutdowns.
I've tried three PRAM resets and three SCM resets without fixing the issue.
What's wrong? What can I do to fix my MBP?
TIA ans kind regards, FriedrichYour battery sounds very healthy. Here is my battery information for comparison:
Battery Information:
Model Information:
Serial Number: SMP-ASMB014-3717-8b8
Manufacturer: SMP
Device name: ASMB014
Pack Lot Code: 0002
PCB Lot Code: 0000
Firmware Version: 102a
Hardware Revision: 0500
Cell Revision: 0102
Charge Information:
Charge remaining (mAh): 6488
Fully charged: Yes
Charging: No
Full charge capacity (mAh): 6526
Health Information:
Cycle count: 53
Condition: Good
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 0
Voltage (mV): 12543
The only thing that strikes me is that you have all zeros in the Pack Lot code, the Firmware Version, the Hardware Revision, and the Cell Revision, where mine has numbers. I don't know if this is even significant, since my battery is for a 17" machine and is I think a later model.
I am wondering if there is a mechanical problem with the connection between your battery and your MBP--maybe a bent pin or something so that the battery is not engaging properly. The connection might be good enough for the System Profiler to recognize the battery, but maybe not good enough for the battery to run the computer.
Inspect the pins on both the Mac and the battery, and see if you can see what the problem is. If nothing is obvious to you, you might want to have a trained professional take a look, like either at an Apple Store or an AASP.
Good luck! -
Basically, I just want to know if this will have any effect on my Firefox, and if this will occur each time I update the Flash player, because I DON'T want Chrome! I want AND prefer Firefox!
Uninstall Google Chrome from Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
IF you are not satisfied with the Windows Add/Remove Programs Uninstaller, you can use some other Uninstaller softwares like Revo Uninstaller (Free version or PRO version), IObit Uninstaller etc, to Completely Remove Google Chrome.
Revo Uninstaller
* http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
IObit Uninstaller 2 Freeware
* http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.html
Use these software to Uninstall Google Chrome, Scan for leftover files after the Uninstallation and then Delete all leftover files identified as associated files.
Check and tell if its working. -
After performing the OS X 10.10.2 update, OpenGL applications, for example Starry Night Pro fail to run, there are numerous windows update/refresh problems (incomplete refresh, remnants of window/frame borders), and some applications, for example Google Chrome are unusable, as cursor motion in the application window causes the display to flash horizontal bars in the window.
I've tried a variety of things, including downloading the most current release of Xcode, turning on/off transparency in Accessibility, graphics switching, and a few other things, but the problem persists.
The App Store display behaves similarly. I am running a MacBook Pro.
This is the output from EtreCheck:
Problem description:
Screen/windows corruption

After installing CC, The font on some websites has changed in my browser Google Chrome. Help!
take for example facebook & ebay, the fonts have changed to a distorted block type font, very un-readable, Only after I installed adobe CC, this took place...
I am using google chrome
Can any one help me?
I have tried to fix it by tinkering with some settings in google chrome but had no luck!
here is a screenshot of the problem:Unless a web page uses a “web font” that it supplies itself, web pages typically provide a list of fonts, in priority order, of fonts to be used to render text. Typically, this list of fonts represents “system fonts” of MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android - fonts that can be counted on being installed. Helvetica Neue is a MacOS system font that is not typically found on Windows systems. And even if a user licenses recent versions of Helvetica Neue OpenType fonts and installs same on Windows systems, they are in the “Helvetica Neue Std” family which would not match “Helvetica Neue” which is native to MacOS. Thus, I suspect that the Helvetica Neue you have installed on Windows is an older font offering.
There are three issues here:
The first is that web pages provide a priority list for font usage. I suspect that the web pages you are seeing Helvetica Neue actually used on your system are requesting fonts in the order of Helvetica Neue and then Arial. The typical MacOS system would display the content with Helvetica Neue and the typical Windows system would display the content with Arial. Since you have Helvetica Neue on your system, you are getting rendering similar to what a MacOS system would have.
The second issue is that there is no way to force a web page to reverse the order of priority of the fonts it lists.
And finally, the third issue is that there is no way to hide a font selectively by application.
The only way you can avoid Helvetica Neue being used on web pages preferring Helvetica Neue to let's say Arial or any other font on its list for particular text rendering is to uninstall Helvetica Neue.
That having been said, other than perhaps personal type design preferences, are there any other issues with regards to use of Helvetica Neue for display of these web pages?

Hello All - thanks in advance for your help with this.
The problem I'm encountering is on an iMac 24" from 2008, Intel Core 2Duo 1.3 GHz processor. I'm running 10.7.3 but have yet to install the client combo update.
My computer would not wake from sleep this morning after having been left on all night. The last two apps I had been running last night before this morning's freeze up were Google Chrome and iTunes. I restarted the computer and noticed at the login screen that one of the login accounts that is normally set up for use had disappeared. Once I logged in to my account, which had not disappeared, and arrived at the desktop, Chrome automatically tried to relaunch and restore the previous session with a note indicating that the browser had not been quit properly.
iTunes was running as well but had no functionality - non responsive to mouse click commands, etc. About thirty seconds later the rainbow wheel appeared and began spinning.
Tried force quitting both applications applications respectively but the finder was non-responsive as well. The dock would pop up when moused over but I was not permitted to select any of the icons. Restarted the computer and essentially the same thing occurred but I was able to quit out of iTunes this time before the rainbow wheel started.
Tried restarting with all peripheral hardware disconnected. No change. Tried booting up in safe mode - didn't work. Rebooted in disk utility mode - ran disk verification and was told all was well. Ran permissions verifications and was told there were problems. Repaired the permissions issues successfully. Rebooted again but same issue with desktop/apps freezing up. Rebooted into Disk Utility mode and tried a reinstall of lion - reinstall successul but upon normal reboot desktop still frozen once I launched Chrome and attempted to get to apple site to download the 10.7.3 patch.
Tried rebooting in disk utility mode to restore from a time machine back up - the external hard drive where my back ups are stored did not appear as a restore source even though I had reconnected the USB cable.
I then rebooted again into disk utility mode and tried to use safari to navigate to the apple site and download the 10.7.3 client combo update. No dice - received error messages saying the download could not be completed because there was insufficient memory available.
Called Apple - rep said I should take the computer in to the store - refused as of the time of the call because I had already wasted half the day on this and didn't want to flush the remainder down the toilet hanging around at the Apple store. So much for that - the day is now totally wasted any way.
Another couple of bits of information which may or may not be helpful:
When I'm in disk utility mode the disk image icon at the top of the list of disk images/mounts on the left hand side of the utility window is in red text: 320.07 GB WDC WD320...and the main dialogue box says: "This drive has a hardware problem that can't be repaired. Back up Data and see Apple dealer for help." One might conclude that my computer is therefore dead...not exactly. This happened once before after trying to set up a bootcamp partition using XP instead of windows 7. XP is not supported by Lion but I was trying a work around. Soon thereafter I upgraded my OS to 10.7.2 (or.3 can't remember) using software updater instead of a full native download from the Apple Support site and the computer went bananas. After the upgrade I was getting the CUI ???? errors which have since become infamous. While working with Apple phone support on the CUI issue and using disk utility on that issue, that same red text disc image came up and the note about my hardware having failed as described above. Apple told me I was cooked and my machine was finished. They were wrong. I can't remember what I did but I worked on the problem a bit more and was eventually able to upgrade my OS from the native download and get my machine back in order and runnign fine.
I recently attempted the bootcamp partition (stupidly) work around for XP again without success - last week before all of the latest drama set in. YES I have learned my lession and will not attempt this again.
So that's what's going on - sorry for the Moby Dick lenght description but I figured the more details available the more likely some one is to know how to fix the problem.
Any thoughts, suggestions, HELP please!!!

YouTube will not work on safari for me on the ipad. Is there anyway to fix this? I can go anywhere else on the internet fine and it works on google chrome, but on safari it shows a blank screen with the bar on top after it loads, if it's even loading at all.
I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working. You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.
