Google Cloud Print How to set up

Hell all! I just wanted to share a great link on how to set up Google Cloud print on HP ePrint-enabled Printers and on HP classic (legacy) printers. Please note that if you don't have a google account you will need to create one to use this feature. Also, for the classic printers you need to have the Google Chrome Browser on your computer. It walks you through step by step and has links out to Google Cloud print.  Here is that link:   http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817255&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3793939&tmp...

    thanks,

    Hello kanataorganics,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that when you use ePrint, via Google Cloud printing, the documents are printed two-sided. Are you using a computer, mobile device, Chromebook, etc, to access the printer?
If you print from a computer, for example, not using Google Cloud print or ePrint, does it print two-sided on its own?
You can check the Eco setting on the printer's front panel to ensure that the two-sided options are set to "Off".
Check to make sure the printer has the most recent updates installed on the printer, Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates.

  • Unable to Set Up Photosmart Printer with Google Cloud Print Services

I am attempting to set up my HP Photosmart 7520 for Google Cloud Print.  Google instructions explain that I require my HP Printer email for eprint services.  I am unable to find my HP eprint email.  Can you please assist in this setup.  My printer is already set up wirelessly succesfully.  And eprint services are turned on.

    Hi,
I think you have not setup ePrint yet. To be able to use ePrint you need the printer email address. Please use the following instructions to setup email address for your printer:

  • Communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print

    Hi,
the communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print seems to be broken. At least for me.
The documents do get printed when I print vio Chrome browser or Cloud Print dashboard -- but the status in cloud print remains as "submitted". It seems like somehow the HP eprint status doen't get reported back to cloud print. In HP eprintcenter the log says "printed".
Well, I wonder who will take care of this problem ...  (Hope it will not result in fingerpointing only ...)
    Thanks for your support!

Are you able to log back in later and the status at Google Cloud print update to reflect the true outcome of the print job? Or does it just remain as "submitted". Otherwise, if it is printing and showing in the log at ePrint Center (EPC) as printed, the issue would not be on the ePrint side but on Google's

    Hello dabbourb,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are able to print from your desktop to your Photosmart D110a printer but not your Chromebook.
I am presuming that you have already connected your printer to your wireless network.  If you haven’t please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document.  Please click on the operating system of your desktop and follow the steps in the order presented.
When the printer is connected to your wireless network, we need to setup the ePrint feature of the printer before connecting it to Google Cloud Print.  To start please Get the Printer Claim Code.  Once you have the web services information sheet, please Set Up a Custom Email Address for ePrint.
Now let’s connect the printer with Google Cloud Print.  I have included the Setting Up and Using Your HP ePrint-Capable Printer with a Chromebook document.  I’ve also included Google’s document for setting up Cloud-Ready Printers.  Once you have the printer connected to Google Cloud Print please follow the steps in Google’s Print a page document to start printing.

  • Google cloud print for officejet pro 8600 - could not get printer information from hp.

I just purchased a new OfficeJet Pro 8600 today. Everything seems to work great except for the connector to Google Cloud Print. I can print from AirPrint, as well as emails to the hpeprint.com address, but when I try to register via the google site, I receive the "could not get printer information from HP" error message.
The printer is connected via wireless ethernet, and seems to work find otherwise. I have no restrictions on who can send print jobs, and I have changed the email address for hpeprint.com a few times, as suggested in other forum threads, but it can never connect to the the Cloud Print service. I am at the latest firmware level listed on the HP website. I have tried to initiate the connection from multiple PC's as well as multiple web browsers.
This was a big factor in purchasing this printer. Help anyone?

Hey rch33k, I am sorry for the ongoing issue that you are having accessing Google Cloud Print. This is being looked into as this is not a singular issue and is affecting other customers as well.  Engineers are currently investing this problem to try and provide a solution to it.  I want to again apologize and thank you all for your patience in this matter.  They only other thing to attempt at this time is to contact Google for further assistance to see if anything can be done on their end. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly

  • Google Cloud Print setup - Unable to parse printer capabilities

I'm trying to add my CP1525nw to Google Cloud Print as a Cloud printer, and not as a LOCAL printer, however each time I add my eprint email I get the following message; "Unable to parse printer capabilities"  - I've attempted both private and public use for eprint settings with no such luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've tried reseting the email with no luck...
    EDIT - 04/01/11:
I chatted with HP support and although the representative was extremely curteous, they could not help me.  The support agent assured me the issue would be taken to the next level and looked at so hopefully we can have a resolution here shortly.
    EDIT - 04/04/11:
Received a response from the original HP rep I chatted with online.  In summary, he/she was not able to find a solution and states the issue will be sent up to HP's highest level of technical support....  We shall see.
    EDIT - 05/25/11:
After 2 months of waiting, HP has fixed the issue.  Remember to update to the latest firmware and check all settings before proceeding.

well, when I use google chrome to set up cloud print, it does add my HP1525nw to my google cloud print, but ONLY THE LOCAL printer. In other words, google cloud print can add both local printers and cloud enabled printers. It does add the local printers, and since while on my home network, the HP laser is a local printer, it grabs that. But it still won't allow me to add it as a cloud printer.
The problem with being connected as a local printer is that my notebook has to be on and it has to be on my local network in order for me to print to the printer through the cloud (like using my ipod).
The point of the HP printer being added as a direct cloud printer is so it can be printed to as a stand alone printer, even if my local computer is not on, because it is connected to my router wirelessly and not dependent on any local computer.
and that is where it is failing. Trying to add the printer as a CLOUD printer does not work (the same problem everyone else here is having)

    Hi,
For this you can try creating a domain name set on the TMG server first. You can name the domain name set as "Google" for example. The entry in the domain set can be set to
*.google.com  or the required domains . After that try creating an access rule with these properties:-
    1. From ---> Internal and Localhost
    2. To ---> Add the name of the created domain name set. (Google)
Apply the changes and check if you are able to access the sites now.

  • EPrint (Google cloud print) is not working

    Hey, HP Experts,
Thank you for holding your answer day!
It just so happens that I am having an issue with HP ePrint. I can't print for my printer. I checked the printer on the HP Connected Center and it say it is ready to print.
The printer goes through Google Cloud Print so that our school's chrome books can print. It just stoped working last night.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

  • Eprint and google cloud print not working

I have set up my printer for eprint and also set up google cloud print, however nither of them print. I can see the ones I have sent to the hp server using the printer email address but they do not print. I also have selected them and tried to print them from the server but they don't get through to the printer. The printer connects to the server and gives me back the correct email address. has anyone got any idears.

    Hello bennetg,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are trying to print via ePrint and Google Cloud Print, but the printer never gets this command to do so. You are able to see the jobs in HPConnected and have verified the Email address. What is the error / statement on the print job in HPConnected?
Typically, when an ePrint job doesn't send to the printer, the printer is in an error state. An error state could be out of paper, out put tray is closed, all the way up to paper jam.
What is the model of printer you are attempting to use ePrint with?
You can also go through these suggested steps in an attempt to clear this issue up: The HP ePrint Print Job Did Not Print.
    Look forward to hearing back.

  • Printer hijacked (Google Cloud Print)

Somebody else has somehow registered my printer in Google Cloud Print. I received a Google Cloud Print test page and a printout from them. I logged into my ePrintCenter account, changed my password.  I then tried to change my ePrint settings. There are other email addresses in the list so I removed them and saved my changes. However, when I sign out and sign back in, the addresses reappear.I tried to remove/add my printer but that has no effect. I am also unable to register my printer with Google Cloud Print. It says my printer is already registered (which is something I never did). My printer also does not show up under my printer list in Google Cloud Print
    Any suggestions?

    Hi j_to_the_m,
Thank you for being a member of the HP Support community.  I understand that another person has accidentally claimed your printer using Google’s Cloud Print. Google Cloud Print is a function of Google, and is generally supported by Google.  I’ve included the link to Google Cloud Print Support, which is a FAQ page.
You will need to contact the other person (in a previous post you indicated that you knew their email) and ask them to delete the printer from Google Cloud Print.  Once they have deleted it from their Google Cloud Print you should have no problems adding it to your Google Cloud Print. If you are unsure how to add it please following the steps in the Google Cloud Print’s FAQ Section titled “Basic Information” and then item 3 “How do I connect my printer to Google Cloud Print?”.

  • Google Cloud Print problems with HP 1102w

I have an HP 1102w printer that I am unable to set up with Google Cloud Print.
    What doesn't work:
    * After I successfully register the printer with google cloud print, it sends a test page. The test page sits indefinitely in the google cloud print queue. The HP eprint website indicates the job was received but failed (under Recent Print Jobs).
    * I also tried printing from Gmail on Android and the same problem occured (sits in google queue, error indicated on HP eprint recent jobs list).
    What works:
    * Printing via emailing printer's eprint address
    * Airprint from iPad
    * Conventional printing over local wi-fi network
    Details:
    * I upgraded the firmware to datacode: 20110826
    * HP eprint is enabled on the printers web page
    * I do not have a proxy server

    Hi CarlSpackler,
I've had some issues using the Google Cloud Print as well, I know Google Cloud Print is still in beta as of right now, so of course you can expect some bugs in regards to jobs getting stuck in their queue. Also Cloud Print is only compatible with Google Mobile apps and Chrome currently. As for printing from Gmail on Android, there are some stipulations for that. You have to have the Cloud Print App installed on the Android unit before you can start printing. Also, unlike using Cloud Print for Apple devices, you don't send the Cloud Print job from the Gmail account, you just have to open the desired jpg, pdf, email, etc.....go to your Options to send...once it opens you'll select Cloud Print. Then it will prompt you to SELECT your desired Eprint printer that you've pre-installed on your Google Cloud Print account. Hope this helps.

  • Using HP Officejet 5740 with Google Cloud Print

Two questions.  First, can I use my HP Officejet 5740 with Google Cloud Print?  Second, if I can use it with Cloud Print, how do I find the HP eprint email address?
I appreciate any help anyone can give.  Thank you in advance.

    Hello @burnsdl ,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
I understand that you are wondering if your Officejet 5740 is compatible with Google Cloud Print.
I would like to help you with this.
According to the printers specifications, the 5740 is USB only.
Normally this means that the answer is no, the 5740 will not work with Google Cloud Print.
You would need a wireless printer that has the web services feature.
    There is a work around.
Connect your classic printers with Google Cloud Print
This will allow you to connect a non cloud ready printers to Google Cloud Print.
