can anyone tell me if we can use google apps from google play on my Q10 specificaly google cloud print

I am not sure about that specific app but you can try.
You will have to load the android app stores if you havent done do already.  I recommend Amazon app store and snap.

Snap Free Google Play client for BlackBerry 10

One store may have somehting not on the other one.  Can't go wrong with both.  Good luck because I dont know if the app you mention will work but you have to try.

  • Connect your classic printers with Google Cloud Print like in chrome

be able to do this or similar in firefox
If your printer is Cloud Ready, follow your manufacturer's provided instructions or see setting up your Cloud Ready printer.
To connect your classic printer, enable the Google Cloud Print connector on any (non-Chrome OS) computer that is already connected to your printer and able to print. You'll need Google Chrome to be installed on the computer. If you're using Windows XP, make sure you also have the Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed.
Once Google Chrome is installed, follow the steps below to enable the Google Cloud Print connector in Google Chrome.
Log in to your user account on the Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.
    Open Google Chrome.
Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
    Select Settings.
Click the Show advanced settings link.
Scroll down to the “Google Cloud Print” section. Click Manage.
The next screen will show a list of devices already registered with Google Cloud Print, and new devices available on the network.
In the "Classic printers" section, click Add printers.
You'll see a confirmation that Google Cloud Print has been enabled. Click Manage your printers to learn more.
The printer is now associated with your Google Account and connected to Google Cloud Print. You can print to this printer using Google Cloud Print whenever you’re signed in with the same Google Account.

    On your Windows PC?
Does Google Cloud Print create a Windows printer device? If so, it should appear in the drop-down of available printers in the Print dialog. If not, you may need an add-on for this.
    On your Android device?
The older add-on I saw (for Firefox/Android) may not work any more: recent reviews are very negative: https://addons.mozilla.org/mobile/addon/cloud-printer/

  • Communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print

    Hi,
the communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print seems to be broken. At least for me.
The documents do get printed when I print vio Chrome browser or Cloud Print dashboard -- but the status in cloud print remains as "submitted". It seems like somehow the HP eprint status doen't get reported back to cloud print. In HP eprintcenter the log says "printed".
Well, I wonder who will take care of this problem ...  (Hope it will not result in fingerpointing only ...)
    Thanks for your support!

Are you able to log back in later and the status at Google Cloud print update to reflect the true outcome of the print job? Or does it just remain as "submitted". Otherwise, if it is printing and showing in the log at ePrint Center (EPC) as printed, the issue would not be on the ePrint side but on Google's

  • Eprint and google cloud print not working

I have set up my printer for eprint and also set up google cloud print, however nither of them print. I can see the ones I have sent to the hp server using the printer email address but they do not print. I also have selected them and tried to print them from the server but they don't get through to the printer. The printer connects to the server and gives me back the correct email address. has anyone got any idears.

    Hello bennetg,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you are trying to print via ePrint and Google Cloud Print, but the printer never gets this command to do so. You are able to see the jobs in HPConnected and have verified the Email address. What is the error / statement on the print job in HPConnected?
Typically, when an ePrint job doesn't send to the printer, the printer is in an error state. An error state could be out of paper, out put tray is closed, all the way up to paper jam.
What is the model of printer you are attempting to use ePrint with?
You can also go through these suggested steps in an attempt to clear this issue up: The HP ePrint Print Job Did Not Print.
    Look forward to hearing back.

  • HP C310 printer and Google Cloud Print Problems

I am using a Chromebook with a C310 printer and Google Cloud Print. The print dialogue does not allow for multiple copies. Additinally, the print dialogue box does provide for specifying which pages in a given  document to print, but ignores it, always printed all the pages of a documebnt.  Can HP address this problem or is it a Google Cloud Print problem?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Unfortunately, is you are using the Chromebook and the dialog box does not allow for multiple prints, then it is likely a feature that has not been put into the Chromebook yet. I would suggest contacting them for support, as the printing software for our printer can only digest the commands it is given - if the command isn't there for multiple copies then the printer will not have any other choice but to print them one at a time.
    I hope this helps!

  • Printing from abiword and other apps

    hi
this is my first post and i'd like to start off by saying that this distro is amazing! i love it!
when i first decided to install it, i thought i might not be able to do it as i am such a dumb-user... but actually, installing it was extremely easy!
i've been using archlinux for a couple of weeks now but i haven't solved all my problems yet...
    the most annoying is printing.
i installed cups and set up my printer. it works just fine from OpenOffice but i don't know how to set abiword and other apps (such as xfprint) to print from the same printer.
when i try from abiword, i can only print using lpr and that doesn't work. what should i do to make abiword see my printer?

sarah31 wrote:perhaps give us a bit more details about your printer and default settings for the applications you want to print in?
i would... just i don't know what information you might need...
the printer is an epson stylus color 400 on a parallel port and is set up properly with cups and the driver i've always used (gimp-print). the program i'm trying to print from with no success is abiword.
i tried what kalidor suggested and it works from acroread but it doesn't work from abiword.

  • Upgrade to Gingerbread breaks Google sky and other apps

    Moved for greater exposure

Sorry, I should have been more specific.  In google maps, when you go to streetview, then in the menu you can enable compass mode where you can hold the phone pointing west for example.  You should see a view of the street as though you were standing there facing west.  And if you move the phone in various directions you get those views as well.  If you hold the phone precisely horizontal you will see the correct view.  If you hold the phone vertically the view is reversed (east is west, etc.).  The same thing occurs in google sky maps, in other apps that show a view of the world.  Space junk for one, and SKEye is another.
I have "factory reset" the phone, reloaded all my apps, calibrated the compass, etc, everything I can think of.  I have a couple of compass apps which work correctly, as do a couple of bubble or level apps and my GPS works perfect.
Here is a link from another forum on the subject.  If you scroll down there is even a reply from one of the developers of google sky map:  http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-tech-issues/161758-problem-sky-map-2.html
Anyway, the whole reason for coming to this Verizon forum was to try and find out if there will be an update to GB that fixes the problem!  I have seen some hints that something is coming, but everytime someone posts a date it comes and goes with no upgrade.  And now Verizon employees are on strike.

try power cycling the printer, your device and router - don't forget to quit out of the apps on the device - double tap home - hold finger down on any app on the grey bar that pops up until a red minus symbol appears and then tap the red minus symbol to close them out
if that doesn't work and it happened after power cycling the printer - you may have to re-setup your printer - check out airprint basics on the apple support page

  • Google Cloud Print problems with HP 1102w

I have an HP 1102w printer that I am unable to set up with Google Cloud Print.
    What doesn't work:
    * After I successfully register the printer with google cloud print, it sends a test page. The test page sits indefinitely in the google cloud print queue. The HP eprint website indicates the job was received but failed (under Recent Print Jobs).
    * I also tried printing from Gmail on Android and the same problem occured (sits in google queue, error indicated on HP eprint recent jobs list).
    What works:
    * Printing via emailing printer's eprint address
    * Airprint from iPad
    * Conventional printing over local wi-fi network
    Details:
    * I upgraded the firmware to datacode: 20110826
    * HP eprint is enabled on the printers web page
    * I do not have a proxy server

    Hi CarlSpackler,
I've had some issues using the Google Cloud Print as well, I know Google Cloud Print is still in beta as of right now, so of course you can expect some bugs in regards to jobs getting stuck in their queue. Also Cloud Print is only compatible with Google Mobile apps and Chrome currently. As for printing from Gmail on Android, there are some stipulations for that. You have to have the Cloud Print App installed on the Android unit before you can start printing. Also, unlike using Cloud Print for Apple devices, you don't send the Cloud Print job from the Gmail account, you just have to open the desired jpg, pdf, email, etc.....go to your Options to send...once it opens you'll select Cloud Print. Then it will prompt you to SELECT your desired Eprint printer that you've pre-installed on your Google Cloud Print account. Hope this helps.

    Hi,
I think you have not setup ePrint yet. To be able to use ePrint you need the printer email address. Please use the following instructions to setup email address for your printer:

  • Chromebook won't print last page (Google Cloud Print)

I have an MF6160dw. When I print from my Chromebook, the printer will print everything but the last page. The printer shows an error.

Hi mlourie. I will be able to assist you. The #822 error usually indicates an issue with the format of an image file. So that I can best assist you, I would like to ask a few questions: 1. Are you printing using the Google Cloud Print function or from the Google Remote Desktop? 2. Is it just one document that you are experiencing the issue with? 3. If it is one document, which format is the document saved in, and is the last page saved in a different format? I look forward to your reply. Hello dabbourb,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that you are able to print from your desktop to your Photosmart D110a printer but not your Chromebook.
I am presuming that you have already connected your printer to your wireless network.  If you haven’t please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document.  Please click on the operating system of your desktop and follow the steps in the order presented.
When the printer is connected to your wireless network, we need to setup the ePrint feature of the printer before connecting it to Google Cloud Print.  To start please Get the Printer Claim Code.  Once you have the web services information sheet, please Set Up a Custom Email Address for ePrint.
Now let’s connect the printer with Google Cloud Print.  I have included the Setting Up and Using Your HP ePrint-Capable Printer with a Chromebook document.  I’ve also included Google’s document for setting up Cloud-Ready Printers.  Once you have the printer connected to Google Cloud Print please follow the steps in Google’s Print a page document to start printing.

  • Google cloud print for officejet pro 8600 - could not get printer information from hp.

I just purchased a new OfficeJet Pro 8600 today. Everything seems to work great except for the connector to Google Cloud Print. I can print from AirPrint, as well as emails to the hpeprint.com address, but when I try to register via the google site, I receive the "could not get printer information from HP" error message.
The printer is connected via wireless ethernet, and seems to work find otherwise. I have no restrictions on who can send print jobs, and I have changed the email address for hpeprint.com a few times, as suggested in other forum threads, but it can never connect to the the Cloud Print service. I am at the latest firmware level listed on the HP website. I have tried to initiate the connection from multiple PC's as well as multiple web browsers.
This was a big factor in purchasing this printer. Help anyone?

Hey rch33k, I am sorry for the ongoing issue that you are having accessing Google Cloud Print. This is being looked into as this is not a singular issue and is affecting other customers as well.  Engineers are currently investing this problem to try and provide a solution to it.  I want to again apologize and thank you all for your patience in this matter.  They only other thing to attempt at this time is to contact Google for further assistance to see if anything can be done on their end. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly

  • Google cloud print "could not get printer information from hp"

As of today google cloud print has stopped working with my laser jet pro. I started getting an error message that "hp eprint is unavailable at this time". I decided to remove my hp printer from google cloud print. I haven't been able to add it back in since. Every time I try to verify the printer with google cloud print I get the error message "could not get printer information from hp". Everything seems to be configured properly as far as I can tell. I even removed the printer from hp connected and readded the printer and have changed my printers email address. Help please! I am on Chrome OS and this is the only option I have to print.

The issue just kind of resolved itself today and I was able to add the printer. I'm assuming it was some kind of server issue on hp's end because I haven't changed anything since yesterday.

  • Google Cloud Print setup - Unable to parse printer capabilities

I'm trying to add my CP1525nw to Google Cloud Print as a Cloud printer, and not as a LOCAL printer, however each time I add my eprint email I get the following message; "Unable to parse printer capabilities"  - I've attempted both private and public use for eprint settings with no such luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I've tried reseting the email with no luck...
    EDIT - 04/01/11:
I chatted with HP support and although the representative was extremely curteous, they could not help me.  The support agent assured me the issue would be taken to the next level and looked at so hopefully we can have a resolution here shortly.
    EDIT - 04/04/11:
Received a response from the original HP rep I chatted with online.  In summary, he/she was not able to find a solution and states the issue will be sent up to HP's highest level of technical support....  We shall see.
    EDIT - 05/25/11:
After 2 months of waiting, HP has fixed the issue.  Remember to update to the latest firmware and check all settings before proceeding.

well, when I use google chrome to set up cloud print, it does add my HP1525nw to my google cloud print, but ONLY THE LOCAL printer. In other words, google cloud print can add both local printers and cloud enabled printers. It does add the local printers, and since while on my home network, the HP laser is a local printer, it grabs that. But it still won't allow me to add it as a cloud printer.
The problem with being connected as a local printer is that my notebook has to be on and it has to be on my local network in order for me to print to the printer through the cloud (like using my ipod).
The point of the HP printer being added as a direct cloud printer is so it can be printed to as a stand alone printer, even if my local computer is not on, because it is connected to my router wirelessly and not dependent on any local computer.
and that is where it is failing. Trying to add the printer as a CLOUD printer does not work (the same problem everyone else here is having)
