Google discontinuing Provisioning API April 2015 - Must change to Admin SDK Directory API

I have Google Apps and Azure AD sync working perfectly. A few days ago, I received a message from Google stating that the Provisioning API will stop working April 20, 2015 and must be replace with the Google Admin SDK Directory API. Does anyone
know when or if Microsoft will update their application in Azure AD to support Google Admin SDK Directory API. If Microsoft doesn't update, my user provisioning from Azure AD to Google Apps will stop working. Thanks.

Azure AD has been updated to support the latest Google Apps API. However, if you are getting messages from Google Apps about the API deprecation, then it's possible that your Azure Active Directory is still connected to the old API.
This is simple to fix. Simply login into the Azure management portal, select Google Apps, and click the "Configure user provisioning" button to re-authorize the connection, as described here:

April 2015 Pricing change for Azure Online Backup questions

The webpage for Azure Online Backup pricing indicates that for protected devices over 5GB/month there will be a new model (i.e. free workloads are still free).
It indicates that its $10 per instance protected in 500GB blocks + storage.
The functional thing about azure online backup was the predicable model - As long as I monitored storage I knew what I would be paying since all other costs were included. The "+ storage" doesn't really give me any idea what will be billed.
Now the question is how complex is it?
What is the storage type? Blob? Page Blob/Disk?
What is the geo status? LRS, ZRS? GRS?
Do I pay for ingress, egress? Express-Route traffic?
Is there storage transaction fees?
The pricing web page really needs to provide a more complete set of info that what is currently there.

Google Apps Provisioning (and contacts) api

Has anyone written a .cfc to simplify the task of interacting with the Google Apps Provisioning API?
We are looking to transition over to Google Apps for our student email, and I see that libraries have been written for python, php, java, and .net but I have yet to come across a suitable interface in ColdFusion. I'd really rather not have to port that wheel from .net to CF.

as much as I love his (Ray Camden's) work, this cfc was last updated in 2008 and is "read only" on the google contacts api...
I need to find something that create contact groups and modify existing groups... Read Only isn't going to cut it for my purposes..

OIM AD Integration - 'User must change password at next logon'

Hi,
These are the issues in OIM AD integration that we are stuck up on:
Issue:
1. When OIM Admin resets the password for User1 in OIM, the password is propagated to AD but the ‘User must change password at next logon’ attribute is not updated in AD. As a result, if the User1 logs into AD account (i.e. computer), there is no prompt to change the password.
2. When AD Admin resets the password for User1 in AD and checks the ‘User must change password at next logon’ flag, the password is propagated to OIM but the ‘obpasswordchangeflag’ attribute (of oblixPersonPwdPolicy class) is not updated in OID. As a result, if the User1 logs into OIM account, there is no prompt to change the password.
Research:
1. For case 1 above: When OIM Admin resets the password for User1, the ‘User must change password at next logon’ attribute on the AD process form itself is not getting updated. So the AD Connector doesn’t propagate the attribute to AD.
2. For case 2 above: When the AD Admin resets the password for User1 in AD, the AD Password Sync connector only sends the password to OIM and not other attribute. So, there is no way to fetch the ‘User must change password at next logon’ attribute and then copy it into ‘obpasswordchangeflag’ attribute in OID.
Environment Details:
1. OIM-OAM-OAAM 11.1.1.5 BP02 integrated using OVD-OID 11.1.1.5
2. AD on WIN 2008 R2.
3. OIM AD Connector 9.1.1.7.2
4. AD Password Sync Connector 9.1.1.5
Any help would be highly appreciated!

I did not get you completely here. Can you please elaborate on the "process task on the AD Process which passes along the USR_PWD_MUST_CHANGE and immediately sets it to 0 this should work". How many total additional tasks would be needed here?
what all targets are you provisioning the password to?
- AD and OID (through LDAPSYNC)
where are end users allowed to change their passwords on (OIM,AD....??)
- Both OIM and AD.
Where can admins change the passwords?
- Currently they use ARS for such purposes but this is something we need to clearly define. The thing is, they use ARS for whole lot of purposes and we can't dictate/restrict them to use OIM only for password resets. So they may use ARS or OIM.
What do you suggest?

Google is trying to force me to change my password and I don't want to

Google used to send me warnings 3 or 4 months back... suspicious activity on my google account. I seem to ave been hacked for a very long time, years, in fact. Nobody can tell me what to do. The hackers seem to operate in 'real time' and in some cases, from the same location (ex. a hotel) that I am in. Somebody told me this is called 'shadowing'. (I'm not 'stalked'.) Now google has stopped me logging in and say I MUST change my password. I don't want to, cos I'm sure this move is useless, and I'm also worried that the change WILL NOT open my email anyway. I'm afraid of that, cos it could be hackers who are impersonating google. I experienced heavy hacking event several years ago, the techie almost couldn't save my inbox; he couldn't believe it himself. (Massive instability and login problems. He finally managed to stabilize after about 90 mins.) The hackers are quite sophisticated. I often used to get a message from google when signing out, saying that 'other people are logged onto this site and closing down now could cause them to lose data.' Recently I get a very quick flashed message when shutting down; it seemed to come from google (chrome?) downloads and it shows a liitle man cartoon figure falling, and it says, 'He's dead, Jim', and hints that my google drive is out of space, or similar. It only lasts a second or less. Is that normal? I checked much on google troubleshooting, no use!

I don't know if there's anything you can do to avoid changing your google password if google wants you to. Do the password reset options come up on the web, or are sent to your recovery email? The "He's dead Jim" icon isn't normal unless you are out of google drive space. Depending on your usage.. Most people don't use that much of their 15 gigs.
Also some things you could do:
-Scan your computer for Malware (I'm sure you've done this multiple times but the more the merrier. I use [https://www.malwarebytes.org/ Malwarebytes] .
-Remove cookies (Just in case thats the way they are getting your password, even though it sounds like they have a different way)

Hi Robert,
you're right, in CRM 7.0 EhP1 this requirement is easy to implement using the Mashup-Tool. Here you can directly call the Google Map providing the address of the Business Partner in the URL i.e. http://maps.google.de/maps?q=TrostbergerStra%C3%9Fe128,83342,Tacherting. But also without the Mashup-Tool you can implement this functionality by creating a assignment block that provides an iView calling the BSP Application I've described in the blog or also call the URL provided above.

I understand how does this Essbase server setting work:

But my question is:
Does anyone know how "to mark" certain group of Users (mainly system admin accounts) - that this setting will not force periodical passoword change for "marked" users ?

There are a couple of things you could do to circumnavigate this all or nothing option.
You could write a maxl statement that would update the user profile to force the user to change their password e.g.
alter user Fiona set password_reset_days immediate;
I would write a program using the API that lists all users in the group and then dynamically create the maxl script that uses the statement above.
If you can not use the API then I guess you could do a maxl only solution (using display user command) and do some text file manipulation in perl (or another scripting language).
There are probably more solutions/ideas out there.

Apple IMAP mail incredibly slow since 8 April 2015

On 8 April 2015 I started seeing a serious problem with Apple IMAP email (mac.com, me.com, icloud.com). It takes 30 minutes to complete receiving 25 new mail messages from Apple's IMAP email server on our Macintoshes and iOS devices via HughesNet. Reading, moving, and deleting Apple IMAP messages can take minutes to complete, and sometimes fails. Some HTML formatted messages, once viewable, show as "Raw source" instead of normal formatting. Occasionally will get an SSL error when trying to connect to the Apple IMAP server with the Mac Mail application (10.10.3). Retrieving POP email via HughesNet is OK, and retrieving IMAP and POP email via AT&T LTE cell network is OK. Sending email via SMTP works fine on all computer/devices and Internet connections.
The IMAP problem began while 10.10.2 and iOS 8.2 were installed, and continues with 10.10.3 and iOS 8.3. It is affecting multiple Macs with multiple Apple email accounts.
General download speed (web browsing, video, ftp, etc) is still 15 Mbps. It took only 15 minutes to download the 2+ GB Yosemite 10.10.3 update. So only the Apple IMAP server connection is affected.
No changes had been made on local computers, devices, or network gear on or before 8 April and prior to 8 April everything was OK.
The problem sounds like it has been caused by some change made at either Apple or HughesNet on or about 8 April 2015. Is anyone else seeing this problem, whether on HughesNet, other satellite systems, cable, or DSL? Anyone have a solution?

Don't know if the reports I made on 13 April on Apple Discussions and HughesNet Community made a difference, but the Apple IMAP email sluggishness problem seems to have cleared on 15 April. Speed doesn't seem quite up to pre-8 April level but way faster than it was after 8 April.

I just want to know if there are other users have the same problem and which workaround they applied.
I’m currently testing a User with different Policy credentials (Credentials expire after 1 day).
I think this will also lead to a “username or password wrong”-popup but tomorrow I will see it myself ;)
The planed workaround for us will be to set the “User Must Change at Next Login ” option and the users first have to login at UCM-Userpage to change their initial password.
BTW: Maybe somebody from Cisco know when this get fixed?

J4W does rely very heavily on DNS, you should at least all required entries to hosts and lmhosts.
How are your servers defined under system -> server??
Are you able to log into UCMuser page??
Have you properly configured all user/device/line association, and created the necessary service profiles???

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use.

Win7 /Office Updates April 2015 - userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)

Hi all,
After updating our acceptence Windows 7 SP1 clients (april updates). We are unable to login the machine.
Error: userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)
After rebooting the machine 2times I'm able to login. When I shutdown the machine at the next boot i'm getting the same error again and i'm not able to logon.
I have no idea where to start. One by one uninstalling updates isn't an option because after a reboot it seems ok.
Any idea's? Help is welcome.

Uninstalling
KB3045999 works as a workaround like Wastashi said. We too have this problem.
@Karen Hu: Startup repair didn't find anything here and this is probably because the system boots properly but only after a user logs in the "Error: userinit.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)"
appears. Safe mode works however and after I disabled all the startup items and rebooted I could successfully logon once, but this could be coincidence because sometimes after a reboot you can login as pointed out by Tim NL. However a few seconds
after I successfully logged in and saw the desktop, the pc rebooted spontaneously. Any idea what this could be causing? Virus scanner maybe?
