Google Docs - Any good reference material?

Hello,
I have seen a few post on using Google maps, but I wondered if anyone has experimented (as I did yesterday) with Google docs and gadgets. In particular, I wondered if a google spreadsheet could be used as an alternative to xml data (well, it would, in efffect, BE the xmal data I guess).
I am also keen to understand how elements on a google spreadsheet such as charts and gadgets could be used in xcelsius. I have a dashboard wich references - successfully - a google chart on a spreadsheet - but that is not very useful: static, not looking particularly beauful, it doesn't do much!
Would you please share your experience or list any sources you may have about googles docs and xcelsius?
Thanks a lot!

Hi Cricri
Have you seem the Web 2.0 component add-on from business obejcts which has a Google Spreadsheet data connector?

If that link does not work try here https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/innovation-center and scroll down to the current prototypes
I'd be interested in knowing how your google chart works in your spreadsheet.

  • Any new reference material

I'm really just getting started with DiAdem and have the "Getting Started Guide" and the "Data Mining, analysis and report generating guide" from NI.  However, they give descriptions of what can be done such as the FFT with a pretty report, but now real description of how to perfrom the analysis or the references to all the parameters.
I am used to the Labview reference guides and multiple references books that can be bought.  We really like the product from what we've been able to do so far, but the scripting syntax is a bit unwieldy.  We code in C++, Matlab, Fortran, and although the syntax has some features similar I can not find the real syntax quide to help.  Plus I don't speak german.  I'm sure the NI course will get us up and running, maybe a bit past the point we're at now, but we are always challenging the software to need to get behind the simple work to getting to output what we really want.
I just found the filter tool on for cleaning up a dirty signal and that was great, but again too many parameters in the options box to know what they all mean.   maybe i have to go back to my DSP basic sourse to understand all the types listed and each parameter.
Any help greatly received.  We are at 10.1 now and love what we think will be a great productivity anaysis and report genberation tool.

  • Selective trust reference material (CXO/management level)

    I tried a basic search.
Just wondering if anyone knows of any good AD material that might contrast an external (non-transitive) trust with and without selective authentication enabled.
I'm looking for some ideas on how to present this to management-level executives so diagrams/pictures would be preferred.

  • Reference material/link is required on Digital signature

    Hi
Can anyone provide me any link/ reference material related to digital signature.
I want to explore it for following tasks
    1. How digital signature works.
    2. How a pdf can be signed using workbench
    3. How to sign entire pdf
    4. How to sign/block only few fields in the pdf
    Regards
    Sunil Gupta

    Sunil
    Here is some information...
    How digital signature works
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/
    Also, see attached socs.
How a pdf can be signed using workbench
Workbench is the development tool for creating LiveCycle ES2 processes.  To sign a PDF on the server side (in an automated fashion) you need to have LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES2
    For more info...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/digitalsignatures/
    How to sign entire pdf
When a digital signature is applied to a PDF, the entire PDF is "signed".  You cannot sign specific pages or sections.
How to sign/block only few fields in the pdf
You can specify "field collections" when creating a PDF with Adobe Designer.  You then associate the field collection with a particular signature field.  When the signature field is signed, the associated field can\will be locked.
    Hope this helps

  • Any good article about reference variables casting ...

    Hi,
I am looking for a good and simple article on the reference variables downcasting (and yes I am searching the Internet too so please do not suggest that).
Please let me know if you know of any good article or if you can explain it well as I am having hard time to figure out when it is right and when it is used incorrectly.
    Thanks,
    Pritchard

Casting conversions are "right" when you need a reference of the particular type AND the underlying object is type-compatible with the declared variable.
    "Downcasting" example:
    Object o = new Object();
String s = (String) o; // BAD! The underlying object is not an instance of String
    Object o = "foo";
    String s = (String) o; // Okay.~

It would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.
I wrote a little diagnostic program to help show what might be causing these problems. Download EtreCheck from http://www.etresoft.com/download/EtreCheck.zip, run it, and paste the results here.

  • Good reference docs for JDeveloper/ADF?

In my new job I'm required to use Oracle Application Developer Framework and frankly it's quite a chore. Oracle documentation is nothing but tutorials. Their Javadoc is minimal at best. There's no real reference material that I know of.
Tutorials tend to be like following a cleared path through a minefield. It's great if you happen to be going exactly where the person that cleared the path is going.
But me, I like to get my head under the hood. To know why you should do things.

I found this one from the list that Shay posted to be most valuable:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/mostcommon/index.html
Also, if you have the FULL version of JDeveloper installed, just hit CTRL+minus to bring up the source search. Then type in DCIteratorBinding, for instance, to load the class' source into the editor window and see what is going on or set breakpoints. Extremely helpful.
    Hope this helps.

  • Step-by-step reference material

Adobe 8 Prof., Windows XP Pro, I am completely new to forms design and Adobe. Have converted a WORD doc (multi page employment package)to a PDF form in LiveCycle thats close to what I want, but fields out of seq and Submit by Email only returns XML data and would like the full form complete
with data. Is there any good, simplified, reference material that a complete novice could use to at least get the basics of form design? Thanks.

  • Freight line item it doesnu2019t show Migo no.& any other references

    Dear SAP Friends,
At the time of MIRO for Raw material, When we select Goods services+planned delivery cost tab, then for material system shows Migo no. & reference no. But for Freight line item it doesnu2019t show Migo no.& any other references.
For this can we solve by any other method?
    Please Reply.
    Regards,

Pay freight amount as unplanned delivery cost (in that case you need not have freight line item at the time of GR).
Alternatively Post subsequent Debit. For screenshots refer the below link

  • Reference material/book on BPS

I have experience in BW but I am new to BPS and BI Integrated Planning. Is there any good material or book that I can use as a starting point to learn this subject.
Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.
    Vignesh

I  want to know if any of you have <u>read the planning book</u>. I feel I can get a quick jump-start on BI planning if they are technical and well explained.
BPS: Business Planning with SAP SEM; Roland Fischer; SAP Press; ISBN 1-59229-033-7
IP: SAP Netweaver BI Integrated Planning for Finance; SAP Press; ISBN 978-1-59229-129-8 (new)
I can then use the reference material in SAP as an additional aid in the learning process.
    1. Do you know if the book provide step-by-step instructions in configuration?
    2. Are they easy to understand?
    3. Are they theoretical or practical?
I am particularly interested in the book BI Integrated planning for finance as it is the new option for planning.
    Appreciate your feedback.
