Google Drive Issue After OS X 10.9.3 Installation

Hello,
Since last week when I install the latest Mavericks version, i.e., the OS X 10.9.3, my Google Drive folders isn't working anymore as should be.
The status icon in the folder and in the files disapear!
I uninstall the Google Drive and installed again and everything come back (working again) until the next reboot.
Then the status icon disapear again!
Any tips about this issue?

Sync status icons missing on Mac
After you install Google Drive for your Mac, you should see sync status icons next to file names in the Google Drive folder on your computer. If you don’t see these icons, try restarting the application.
Open the Google Drive menu from the toolbar at the top of your screen.
Select "Quit."
Restart Google Drive by opening it from your Applications folder.
Enter your Mac username and password (not your Google Account information).
The sync status icons should now appear in your Google Drive folder.

We are having Google Drive issues (some files won't sync) and it's causing us trouble with our business communication. Is there any way to use a Mac Mini to share documents between two people in different areas similar to google drive? Would this just be done through iCloud?

If you use Numbers, Pages and KeyNote it si very easy to sync those document among all the Apple devices. You need montain Lion on the Mac and at least iOS 5 on the mobile devices.

I'm trapped in a HDD nightmare with my MacBook Pro mid-2012.
I updated to Yosemite 10.10.3 (with the Photos app). A couple of days after the update, I was watching a movie on my TV screen via HDMI. In the middle of the movie I removed the HDMI cable from the MacBook Pro and everything freezes. I forced shut down (Note: My HDD was encrypted). After I forced shut down, I tried to turn on and the loading screen would never stop loading - like, 14 hours stuck with the progress bar. Since I have backups, I decided to access DU and format my HDD. I tried everything. For real. Every command line I could type on Terminal to format, repair, erase and/or partition. I read almost every issue-related questions on the forums and stack exchange groups for a week (even posted my issue here: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/181090/erasing-and-partitioning-hard-dr ive-from-internet-recovery?noredirect=1#comment215695_181090).
So, I decided that it was a HDD failure and bought a new one.
I bought the Seagate 1TB SSHD Hybrid - ST1000LM014. Installed the new fresh disk and guess what? All those same problems again. I´m not able to restore from Time Machine because it doesn't recognize the disk in the restore page. But the disk is recognized in the DU. When I try to erase or partition the new SSHD, the same old errors: File system formatter failed. Yes, I tired GUID Partition Table, all of the security options, etc.
Please. Any light that you can throw at this issue, I'll be very grateful for. BTW, the new SSHD is recognized and the SMART Status says: Verified.
Any ideas on *** is going on?

After I erase the hard drive (I assume one pass of writing zeros is good enough, 7 passes not needed?) do I turn off the laptop, then turn on and insert the Install Disk? Will there be a prompt telling me when to put in the disk? Or do I put in the disc right after erasing?
One pass is fine. If you've previously backed up your hard drive to an external hard drive using SuperDuper!, which is what I use and recommend, or another program, if it created a bootable drive, you want to boot off of it, bring up SuperDuper! and copy the drive back to the internal hard drive. SuperDuper also makes the drive bootable. When done, reboot, and you should be all set. If you're using Time Machine, you'll want to install the operating system, then restore the Time Machine backup. Finally- should I update the OS? Is there a problem with the newest update that caused this crash, or was it just a spurious glitch/bad luck?
I've been running 10.5.8 for awhile with no issues, and would recommend moving to it.

Driver issue after Downgrading to Windows 7 (Pavilion 17-f081no)

So,i went to downgrade yesterday,and have had this problem ever since. Nothing works except one USB port at the right side of the laptop (when looked at front),no usb connections,no wireless or wired connection,nothing. They are all dead,including SD card slot.
I know its the driver issue,but i cant seem to find them. I need something for USB ports,Ethernet/Network card/,SM BUS controller etc. They are all listed under "Other devices" in Device manager.
What drivers should i be getting? I have been trying to google,but i am starting to feel really hopeless here.

Is Google Drive issue been fixed?

Late 2013 when OS X Mavericks launched, Google Drive has a conflict issue with Apple Finder which made the Finder restart itself constantly.
Three to four month passed, I am wondering if this issue has been fixed or not?
Is there anyone could confirm it?

I have a HP Envy and after the Windows 8.1 update the dvd drive is not working. I can see the drve but it is difficult to get the drive to open or recognise there is a disc in it. What can I do?

CD Driver Issues after installing 11.1.4

After installing Itunes 11.1.4, my HP computer, running Windows 7, could no longer find the CD drive. Upon investigation, someone suggested I update my registry to remove some entries. I did the following:
Start, enter regedit in search bar,
Open regedit
Left hand menus click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CURRENT CONTROL SET
CONTROL
CLASS
Then need to find {4D36E965-E325........... (are more figures but not needed)
on right hand window see if there is an upper filter or lower filter.....right click and delete the values if either are there.
RESTART...
This worked, but now Itunes complains every time I open it, saying some registry settings are missing for my CD drivers. I've used Itunes on this computer succssessfully for years, until this upgrade. Apple, whatever you did, please undo it. Horrible release...

Bluetooth Mouse Driver Issues after updating to SP1

Greetings!
After upgrading to SP1 my bluetooth mouse stopped working. The dongle I'm using is being detected fine, and when I scan for the mouse I can find it, but when I try to connect to it I get a "Locate driver" message from Vista. When I let it scan for the driver it is unable to find anything compatible, so when I tell it to scan the CD that came with it again it finds nothing. It's like the Bluetooth HID Device driver is no longer working.

Some of the things I've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack. I've tried using Vista's Bluetooth stack instead of the WIDCOMM stack, with no luck.
I've also tried the Bluesoleil drivers with no luck there either, in fact those seem to break the dongle and Vista is no longer able to detect it.
I've tried the install CD that came with the mouse, but it seems that is for Windows XP only.
I've tried another Bluetooth mouse that produces the exact same results, with a CD that is for Vista.
Anyone else having this issue?

Just wanted to update this with an answer.
I'm pretty sure that running vsp1cln.exe was the reason why my Bluetooth and iPod stopped working. I reinstalled Vista and upgraded to SP1 without running that tool to clean up the install files and both bluetooth and my iPod are working again. It must clean up the driver files that they were using and the new files are not compatible or something. Not sure really.

Lenovo driver issues after upgrade to Windows 10

Hi, i recently upgraded my Y50 to windows 10 after i got the notification. Now the Fn+F6 to disable the trackpad and Fn+F5 for airplane mode don't work. others seem to be working properly. I was unable to find any rivers. Also, i noticed that league of legends now runs at 60fps when uncapped, while previously it ran at about 180. I am not sure if the nvidia graphics card is being detected or if it is using the intel one.

the problem has been fixed by 1- reinstalled win 10 2- win 10 removed intel hd 5500 driver as expected , but i didnt update it manually nor by update from device manager nor make any changes , so i ran windows 10 update tool from system and made all 100% update after restart things are ok now every thing is ok and new intel hd 5500 driver has been installed by win 10 update tool : 10.18.15.4248 //driver date : 29/06/2015 also invidia 840m driver has been updated thanx for any try to help and if any one still stuck with black screen the problem is that win 10 read two monitors instead of 1 so you have to click "windows button + P while black screen already on " and try to hit and click on first choise or other choises till you can see the desktop , sure u cant see any thing while u are trying to choose but you should try or may be you connect another monitor or tv and fix this issue by win button + P good luck

CR52 (MS-8352M) 52x32x52x CD-RW Drive - Issue after trying to update the Firmwar

I have the CR52 (MS-8352M) 52x32x52x CD-RW Drive and I'm running Windows XP.
I noticed that I was having issues with CDRW's and my drive was reading data very slow, but I had no issues burning CD-R's.
After finding that the current firmware was 1.70, I decided to update the firmware to 3.70.
Halfway through the firmware it gave me an IDE Error (forgot the actual code, but it just bascially said it could not rerad a present drive).
Now when I boot up, there are no lights coming from the CD drive.
is this drive now dead because of an improper firmware update?

I guess that you have a bad flash of the firmware. I suggest that you flash in Safe Mode and best with only that particular drive that you want to flash to be connected to the controller.

MAC Driver issues after Windows 7 update

Hi,
I recently installed a slew of updates for my Windows 7 partition on my iMac. After updating and letting Windows restart my machine, the keyboard and track pad would not work. They show as connected in Control Panel, but when attempting to type or scroll I get nothing. I'm not sure where to turn and was looknig for some help here.
So far I've tried using BootCamp to update the drivers using BootCamp assistant and my USB stick. Using a USB mouse I was able to repair the 'Apple Software' Drivers. This did not work. I tried removing the USB 3.0 driver - No dice. I've tried rebooting into Safe Mode to see if there was any unrecognizable hardware - no dice. Not sure what else to do.
I do not want to reinstall Windows 7 since none of my data is backed up. I'm positive this has something to do with the update since everything was working prior. I just don't know what was changed that would affect the keyboard and mouse. The last updates were from 9/09, so the updates included everything from then until today. I want to avoid a system restore as well to not remove any security updates.
Also - when I press the power button behind my iMac, it immediately forces a shutdown. Normally a single press would put the display to sleep.
Any one else encountering this problem?

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

Acer Aspire V5-531 Dolby Advanced Audio driver issues after updating to Windows 10

After upgrading to Windows 10 I was getting an error on loading Windows media player which indicated that: The current Dolby audio driver version is 7.2.8000.17 and the softwareapplication expects driver version 7.2.7000.7. Please install a valid driver and application combination Although Windows 10 has probably updated your driver to the latest version of the driver (you can check this in device manager for yourself) but the Dolby Advanced Audio V2 application which was supplied by Acer (not Dolby) has not been updated to the corresponding latest version. So, you need an updated version of Dolby Advanced Audio V2 (Version 7.2.8000.17) Acer have not published an updated version. Looked all over the site coudn't find it. My solution was to remove the error was to uninstall the Acer version and replace with the correct version downloaded from the Lenovo site below. http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds028945 I'd wanted to make sure it was the same software, so I tried without uninstalling first and it refused as a version was already installed. So that was reassuring. Thanks for the archived post below pointing me to the softwre on the Lenoveo site at the Lenovo site. I'd looked all over the Acer site for it. http://community.acer.com/t5/2013-Archives/how-i-solved-the-dolby-realtek-audio-problem/td-p/103157 There are warnings on the page above not to use the Lenovo version of the software because of 'tuning', but my audio sounds just as good as before and the error is now gone. Hi, The only driver that ever worked properly with Dolby was the driver for The V5-552G on windows 8 (not 8.1) This will work on your computer even if different model... the new driver on the Acer site for winodws 10 has not work either. So the one I´m using is: Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6878_W8x64_A To Download the Driver and Software needed Go to: http://www.acer.co.in/ac/en/IN/content/drivers and Go: Ultra-Thin / Aspire / V5-552G To get dolby to work: 1. Uninstall the current driver, and any software related to it (the dolby software) 2. restart 3. Install the driver for windows 8 (in my case it never installs dolby automatically, I´ll explain how to do it manually below) 4. Restart twice (yes, I always had to restart twice after the install otherwise manually installing dolby would not work and I got an error when trying to run the install) 5. In the driver folders you downloaded and unzipped go to the folder "PCEE4" and run "DolbyAdvancedAudio.msi" 6.If you dont get the "Install PCEE" error, restart and you should be able to enjoy dolby (when its not acting up). If you get the error then you may have not followed the instructions properly. Go back to step 1 Good luck

Yesterday, I downloaded and installed Windows 8.1 Pro Preview, which I now regret because my wireless connection no longer works on my Lenovo IdeaPad N580. I check the status of the driver for the Realtek RTL 8192DE wireless LAN, and I get a message that I have the latest driver. However, when I check the status the the Realtek device, the system says it is disabled. I tried to enable it within BIOS as I read somewhere that that is the way to fix the problem, but I cannot find any reference to the wireless LAN device in BIOS. This problem has apparently happened a number of times on a number of brands of computers. Nothing I've read that I've tried works. Does anyone have any ideas?

The only way I can think of is to erase your hdd and fresh install Windows 8 or 7.

Lumia 925 ATT Here Drive+ issue after Cyan

I've noticed that on my 925 Here Drive+ doesn't recognize addresses that it previously did. It can find the address just fine from Here Maps, and will give turn by turn directions when you start navigation from there, but not when you use the people hub to quickly navigate to an address from a contact. Pops up a dialog that says no address was found.
I've done a soft reset etc, did a full erase and update, not from a backup, everything from scratch.
I would appreciate any advice you might have, one if my most used features.

Had the Lumia 925 for nearly a year - without any problems ever.
Since the Cyan update the phone often freezes, which it never did before. The only way to bring it back to life is the Power+VolumeDown button combination.
On the first few freezing occasions the glance screen was showing and stuck, and it was charging via USB.
I have reset the phone (from Settings -> Phone), and turned the glance screen to "Peek", which appears to have reduced the occurrences of freezing, but it still happens.
From my observation freezing is more likely during charging, but that may have been a coincidence. It has also occurred while not charging.
3G, Data connection, and location were on in all cases of freezing, WiFi and NFC were off in all cases.
This is a _very_ serious bug that should get lots of attention immediately! The threads about it fill in several locations, at wpcentral, MSDN, etc. (it apparently affects several Lumia models).
Are there experiences with using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool? It will apparently reset the Lumia 925 to a pre Cyan state. If I then install the updates, including Cyan, again, will there be a chance of the freezing problem to be gone? Or should I refrain from installing the Cyan update again for the time being if I want the phone to be reliable?
