Google eStorage 2 factor Authenication

I have switched over to two factor authentication with Google and can no longer use my Google eStorage app to scan and upload to Google Drive. Is there any way around that, or am I just out of luck? (OfficeJet 6500)

Hi,
2-ways authentication s not supported by the Print App, you will have to disable 2-way for the app to connect to google services.
That can be done from the following link by turning Off 2-way authentication:

  • Calendar having Issues with Google Calendar (2-factor auth. enabled)

I have enabled two-factor authentication on my Google account.  I have added that account to Yosemite's accounts and enabled the Calendar.  I have generated an App password from Google and have entered that one as my password. The calendars show up in the Calendar app.  After a day or so, the calendar stops syncing and I get this error on Calendar app:
My calendar list also shows up this warning message and when I click it shows me the warning above:
If I get another password from Google, the problem persists.  The only way to fix is if I do the following:
Remove the Gmail account from my computer
Add it back again and enter a new password generated by Google
    Enable calendar support
This is something I cannot be doing every day and frankly it is quite annoying.  I believe the problem lies within Calendar app losing its authentication with Gmail

Unfortunately, I already tried this several times prior to posting here.  The system won't let me add the same account more than once, and continues to prompt me for a password multiple times for each service.

I recently enabled google's 2 factor authentication and now can't view my youtube content/subscriptions via apple tv, presumably because of this. The account password has remained the same.
Is there a means to get around this?
    Thanks.
    (apple tv software is current)

  • Version 23 very broken.

locking as a duplicate of this - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968545''
Between last night and tonight, suddenly I can't load any pages unless I flip back and forth between I.E Tabs. Only difference: Firefox did a bloody update. Why is it that nowadays when a program updates, it always ends up being glitchy or fails entirely. Aren't updates supposed to IMPROVE the program, not break what was already working?
This problem happens on Facebook, twitter, Goodreads, Google, this page... everything. What is the use of having a browser that doesn't work. Come on Mozilla. Please let me roll back to 22. At least that worked. Sorry for the grump here, but I've truly had enough of programs self-"updating" into a version that is crap. With all that programmers have learnt over years of computing, this should not happen any more. If you're going to put out an "update", at least make sure it works fully first. We're not your lab rats for testing.
I've already restarted twice, and once more in safe mode, so please no one give me all the basic advice. Just someone tell the blokes at Mozilla that their update is broken, and they need to patch it. Meanwhile, I'll just run my business loading pages twice in two different browser tabs... or, after more than six years and twenty different version numbers, I might just drop Firefox altogether.
And you know what, till I stuffed around for almost twenty minutes, I couldn't even add my Troubleshooting info from the button below. Guess why? That's broken too. As is the button to enter this form, which took me another half hour. Please fix this.

  • IOS 8.3 and Invalid Gmail passwords

Greetings!  Ever since I updated my Ipad with IOS 8.3 my Gmail passwords are not working.  This is on my IPAD Air.  My Note 2 and Windows 8.1 laptop are working fine using the same passwords.  This has been going on since this morning.
There is obviously a problem. Is there a solution?

That may have something to do with iOS 8.3 support for Google (gmail) 2 factor authentication. I've heard some have successfully "fixed" it by restarting the device. If that doesn't resolve it, try deleting and adding back your gmail account.

    <E-mail Edited by Host>

It was a very bad idea to post your email address where millions of people will see it. Expect your spam to increase exponentially, as well as the phishing attempts. It would probably be a good idea to change your password to a really strong one, and, as you have gmail, look into Google's two factor authentication.
For your problem, see: What to do if your iPhone will not turn on

  • Https business catalyst

    Hi,
I would like to know how I can turn my website hosted by Business Catalyst to secured https one, because Google has announced a new ranking with https in first.
Google Online Security Blog: HTTPS as a ranking signal
Thanks (and sorry for my english ;-)

    Hi there,
This was actually an old announcement now. It is an intention and does not actually make hardly (if at all) any effect on your ranking at this time, and well fully up by google will ONLY factor to less then 1% of your ranking factors.
You can not turn your BC site to HTTPS and its something not to worry about any time soon. BC aware are of this, its a big change to how the system works to implement such a feature as well.

  • Why can I download Gmail to my mac's mail - but I can not send?  I have followed all instructions I can find but it still won't send.  Any thoughts?

I have a strong desire to use the native apps on my Mac for mail and calendar - but my new position is using Gmail.
I can send mail and calendar works fine - but I can not send mail.  I have followed all the directions and still can't see to get it to work.
Is there a step I am missing?  Has anyone else successfully tackled this issue?
    Thanks
    Bill

Are there any error messages to give us a clue?
There is no 'issue', millions of people use Gmail with a Mac, they send mail so the 'issue' is with your machine so we'll concentrate on that. Post the SMTP settings that are in use for this account, post the authentication method as well, tell me whether you have activated Google's '2 Factor' authentication method if you have.

  • Close apps before turning off iPad?

I just bought an Ipad after spending the last 15 years using Windows.  A couple of questions:
In Windows when you shut down your computer all your open apps have to be closed.  You have to either do that yourself manually, or let Windows do it for you.  Does the iPad require the same thing?  Do you have to close your open apps?  If so, does iOS do it for you?  (I guess they DON'T have to be closed if you're just in Sleep mode.)
Also, I keep my iPad in the charger most of the time when I'm using it.  At the end of the day, should I put my iPad in Sleep mode or is it better to shut it off completely?

If you are curious about the battery you can go to Battery University, find it by Google, and look up Lithium Ion batteries.  You can find a lot on the technical aspects.
There are cautions about leaving the battery on a charger all the time...shortens battery life.  The modern Li-Ion battery does not have a "memory" like the old Ni-Cads had.  Discharge/charge cycles are important for resetting the charge reporting circuitry, not the battery iteself.  The circuitry is built into the battery, not the computer.
LI-Ion batteries typically see a degadation in charge capacity after something on the order of 350-500 complete charge cycles.  If you discharge 50% and recharge, that is half a charge cycle.  And the perforrmance degradation is to 80% of new capacity, so not many people are going to see a change.  Typically, the 500 cycles take about 7 years to accumulate so not much to worry about there.
    Hope this helps.

  • HP LaserJet Professional CM1415fnw - eStorage print apps - Google Docs

    Hello HP,
Why there are only 10 apps available for my CM1415 multifunction printer. I would like to have eStorage app to work; Google docs or box.net and why not other apps like facebook too. The CM1415 has a beautiful 3" color touch screen but it has no use for this purpose -->why?. These apps are available to cheaper printer models too.
Google Docs app error message is "Not Available for this Printer" Is it coming to this printer in future?
    BR,
    Jarno

    Hello,
Thanks for the reply but you didn't answer to my question. I know how to change those apps, but the problem is not in that. The problem is that I bought the multifunction network machine so I could scan my documents to the internet but now I found out that it is not possible with my CM1415fnw multifunction network printer. It is sad, but cheaper Samsung and Canon can scan to at least network drive (and usb of course).
I found out that HP Finland doesn't know printers that are suitable to eStorage. So they cant help me. Who knows then if HP even doesn't know. Actually HP support first gave me instructions how to get it work but after few times double checks they said "sorry, no can do". I am not quite satisfied.
    I have these very "handy" apps;
    Web Sudoku
    WeatherNews
    DreamWorks...
    Disney
    HP Quick Forms
    Google Calendar (why this works?)
    Yahoo!
and F24 (news service in English, France and some other unknown language)
There are some other apps too  that I would like to have and I am confused that this price range multifunction machine (350-400 dollars) I cant have all the apps available.

  • Having trouble with Google 2 factor authentication and Mac Calendar

Hello!  I recently started using Google 2-factor authentication on my Google Apps (Pro) account, and have successfully configured my gmail settings in OS X Mail so that inbound/outbound work correctly.  Here's where the problem is:  OS X uses a single password in the system account settings for calendar/contacts/notes, etc, so enter the login/password once and check the boxes for what services you want to use. But Google sees these as distinctly different apps, so when I enter an app-specific password, it only registers for one (i.e.:  contacts), but not for another or the rest of them (like calendar).  Has anyone had experience in setting this up? How can you get app-specific passwords to work with the rest of the OS X system applications besides mail?
    Thank you!

Unfortunately, I already tried this several times prior to posting here.  The system won't let me add the same account more than once, and continues to prompt me for a password multiple times for each service.

  • Google two-factor auth and iPhone apps? ...

Who here has enabled Google two-factor authentication? Did it break anything on your phone?
I tinkered with it yesterday, and then our family's shared Google calendar stopped working. My wife couldn't see new items I added (in either the iPhone calendar or Fantastical). I disabled TFA, and all was good again.
Reading Google TFA page talked about how to use an additional app on the phone to create some additional passwords, but it wasn't clear to me where I would use them.
I also use Mailbox for GMail, not sure what will happen to that.
Anyone here doing Google TFA? Any words of wisdom?
    Thanks very much in advance,
    Chris

I had to do this for yahoo after my account was hacked.
It's a little tricky but you can enter the codes into your settings and get the stock app to work.
    How to set it up:

  • Apple mail and google 2 factor authentication

I am using 2 factor authentication to connect with gmail. I receive messages without a problem, but when I try to send mail I frequently get a cannot connect error asking for the password to be re-entered. I will then get a new application specific password for gmail and replace the SMTP password. That will work for a day or two, but then it will again fail for sending messages.
Does anyone know if there are particular problems using 2 factor authentication with gmail and OSX mountain lion mail> Am I missing some setting?
    thanks for any insights.

I had looked there several times - and it didn't specifically discuss 2 factor authentication - that is why I posted my question. I had followed instructions and continued with problems.
Yesterday there was a Macworld article posted online about gmail imap. One thing mentioned in the article that is in addition to what is on the google site is that under system preferences there is a mail contacts panel where the gmail password can also be entered.
I generated a new app specific password and entered it in all three places (sys pref panel, imap server, and smtp server.)
At this time that seems to be working.
Will have to see if it sticks.
Google also had a help item suggesting that if the ask for password dialog pops up when attempting to send mail then get a new app specific password and enter it into that box.
Hopefully the issue is resolved. will give it a few days to be sure.
    Thanks

  • Saving password in eStorage Google Docs app

It would be great if printer could just save password for google docs / google calendar password. It's annoying when you have to type pass everytime you want to use this feature. I hope that HP and/or Google will come with update quickly ;-)

Already one year passed by and I don't give up.
Can somebody please tell me if it is now possible to store the password for Google Drive in the eStorage app?
