Google iPad Sync Microsoft Exchange - Sync only works in One Direction

I have setup my iPad to sync with Google calendar using Microsoft Exchange, which supposes to work bidirectionally.
I found that it only works in one direction such that anything in my Google calendar (includes all the subscribed calendars in Google) got sync to my iPad. After I add a new event in my Google calendar, it is pushed to my iPad.
On the other hand, any new event I add to my iPad calendar is not updated and shown in my Google calendar. This means the sync works only in one direction:
Google Calendar Event --- sync ---> iPad (works perfectly and the event is pushed almost pushed instantly)
iPad Calendar Event. --- sync ---> Google Calendar << FAILED >> (Event entered to my iPad never shows in the Google Calendar)
Sync works unidirectionally but not bidirectionally
Anyone has encounter this problem and is there any solution?

I am having the same problem. Would be good to have a solution.

I don't think the solutions here are for the question that's posed.
I have an Exchange account set up on my iPhone 4. I want my Exchange calendar to sync with my Google calendar. I set up Google Sync, and I can see both calendars. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the two calendars to sync with each other. i.e., if I create an event on my iPhone, it doesn't push to both calendars. I have to pick one or the other.
The solution Stanley Wong suggested only sets Google as your default calendar; it doesn't actually sync the calendar events between the Exchange and the Google calendars. Unless I missed something?
Is there a solution for actually syncing the two calendars with each other? It seems like we should be able to create an event on the iPhone and have it sync to both phones without having to have Outlook open on a PC and using Google Calendar Sync to do that.

  • Problem: Bookmark sync only works in one direction

I have 2 computer, computer A has vista and computer B is a netbook with XP. The problem is that the bookmark sycn only works in one direction.
For example: both my computer has the same book marks (previously sync with X-mark which is now disabled). I decided to do some clean up on computer B. If Y sync computer A, nothing happens, but when I sync computer B, all the cleanup I made has been undone since computer A override all the changes I made to B.
In other words, the changes I made to B can never be applied to A.

When you're doing a "clean-up" like that you need to use '''Reset Sync''' in Tools > Options > Sync - Current Account = Manage Account and use the ''' ''Replace all other devices with this computer's data'' ''' option. See the attached screenshot - use the third option.

  • Hotsync only works in one direction

I recently shifted from a PC on XP to an Imac on OSX 10.5.
I have a Tungsten E and have Palm Desktop 4.2.1 installed on the Imac, with Open at Login activated.
Hotsync seems to run well, with no error messages in the log, but on looking at the result, sync'ing of the calendar has only gone in one direction. A new entry in my handheld has transferred to the Imac, but a new entry on the Imac has not appeared on the handheld. This never happened with the PC, in that any new entry was sync'ed, irrespective of where it was entered.
Any suggestions to make this work in both directions will be gratefully received! Thanks, JohnP

    Thanks for the response.
I went to the Hotsync manager and then to Conduit manager as suggested.
Interestingly, while it is set at a default of "Synchronize the files", the "Last Hot Sync" entry was "never" - for all entries, not just calendar.
This despite the fact that when I have connected the handheld and Imac via the USB cable, I get the messages on both that sync'ing is proceeding. And there are no error messages.
It seems that something else is preventing me from sync'ing.
    Any further suggestions?  John

  • Mouse Track Ball only working in one direction

    Hello,
My Mighty Mouse is 3 months old and now the track ball is only working in one dircetion.
When I move the ball forward I hear the distinct sound and the scroll bar on e.g. Safari moves, but when I reverse there is no movement on the screen.
I don't hear the same sound as when I move the track ball forward.
I have tried to reboot but no improvement.
Have someone seen teh same issue? Is the solution to simply replace the mouse?
    Thanks / Christer

  • Logitech G400 mouse wheel only works in one direction

    Hi All,
I just purchased a MacBook Pro Retina 15" version and I plugged my almost new Logitech G400 into it and I notice that the scroll wheel on the mouse only seems to work in one direction. I've installed the logitech gaming drivers, but there aren't arent scrolling options in there, so I suspect that it's Mac OS that's to blame here.
By default it was only allowing me to scroll to the top of the page by scrolling the wheel down. I've since reversed this, so that when I scroll down, I move down the page - the problem being if I scroll to far I then have to use the trackpad. As stated, I have tested the mouse as working in a Windows 7 machine, so I suspect this is a problem caused by the OS.
Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, how did you fix it?
    Thanks,
    Craig

Doing what they did in the video is fine - up to a point. After a while however the clogging gets so bad the method shown won't work anymore. Dampening the cloth helps somewhat, but not for long.
Mine finally got in this condition so I took it to my local Apple Store. The Genius there cleaned it with a surgical swab (the type the nurse wipes your arm with when about to stick a hypodermic needle in it). Did a good job too. The Genius had a supply of about 200 with him and let me have a few.
I have found that this is the only lasting way to clean the roller. But it doesn't stay clean forever of course and also I eventually ran out of the gratis swabs.
Since I ran out of these swabs my mouse has gummed up all over again. In fact it has been like this for so long now that I have abandoned it in favour of the Magic Mouse. I only use it now when booted into Safe Mode or from a Boot CD as the Magic Mouse doesn't work in these situations.
Yes, I know the Magic Mouse is a tad more expensive than a box of surgical swabs, but have you tried going into your local Chemists and asking for these surgical swabs lately?. The idiots won't sell you any because they assume that you are a junky and only want them for injecting yourself! I kid you not.

  • ICloud with Numbers: Only Works In One Direction?

    Hello,
    Trying to get started with iCloud and a problem from the outset;
    I use two computers;
    iMac OS10.8.5
    Macbook Pro OS10.9.2
    and Numbers 2.3 on both.
When I upload to my iCloud the files can be read by both computers if I upload from my Macbook, but if uploading from my iMac the Macbook does not seem to see the files within iCloud when 'Open Files' within Numbers. I have the iCloud set up the same on both machines, and iCal seems to work in either direction.
How come? And no, I don't really want to go to Yosemite yet.
Many thanks for your time in answering. Ash.

  • Hand off only working in one direction

I've been trying to get hand-off to work between my iPhone 6 and Macbook Pro Retina mid 2012. It works okay when creating a mail document on the macbook and handing off to the iPhone 6. But I can't get it to work the other way around. I'm expecting a mail icon to the left of the finder on the docking bar when I create an email on my iPhone, but nothing appears. Anyone else got this problem?

This is funny, I have got the same issue with the other way around:
    I am running:
    iMac 27'' late 2012
    iPhone 5
    iPad Air
The hand off is working in every device, all the phone calls are shown and can be answered in every device BUT, when using the continuity feature the thing is weird, if I open mail, pages... on my iPhone, it will show at the iMac and at the blocked screen of the iPad the pertinent icon, but if I open the same app on my iPad Air, or iMac it WILL NOT SHOW the icon at the blocked screen of the iPhone!
    Any Ideas, please?

  • Calendar sync only works in one direction

I use an iPhone 3G with a MacBook Pro. When I enter a calendar item on the iPhone and synchronize using iTunes, the item shows up on the MacBook calendar (iCal). But if I enter an item on the MacBook and synch, the item does not show up on the iPhone calendar. I have been able to get items sent to the iPhone by clicking the Calendars button under the Advanced heading on the info page, but this is a one-shot deal, and besides it replaces all calendar items on the iPhone with items from the MacBook iCal. Heaven help me if I entered something on the iPhone calendar and then later enter something on the MacBook and sync: I would lose the item entered on the iPhone calendar. Is there a fix for this? I just want sync to work in both directions

When I synched yesterday some events I entered in iCal didn't propagate to the iBook calendar. Do I have to do something to make synchronization always work? BTW I haven't used iSynch since I had a Palm Centro which I synched using BlueTooth. Are you assuming I am using BlueTooth? I haven't tried BlueTooth yet because the last time I did it the setup was a bit inconvenient and I didn't want to take the time to do it.

  • Icloud only working in one direction??

Icloud seems to be working when sending my ical info from my macbook pro to my ipad.. but not in the other direction. It worked fine when i first set it up? any suggestions?

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • S2S VPN only works in one direction

I'm very new to cisco devices but we recently acquired a catalyst 2911 device for our co-lo cabinet and I am trying to get a site-to-site vpn connection working between the facility and my offices network as well as a remote access VPN for me to use in case I have to fix something while outside of the office.
The office's gateway is 66.119.163.2 and the device is a TZ210 with it's LAN network being 192.168.1.0 /24
The co-los gateway is 204.244.50.254 and the device is an ASR 2911 with it's LAN network being 10.0.10.0 /24
The S2S VPN connection is up between the two locations and the 2911 device and the servers within it's LAN can ping and RDP to the office's machines.  The office network can only ping the LAN interface IP on the 2911 which is 10.0.10.1 but not the servers in the network.  the site-to-site VPN was set up with the CCP wizard.
How can I allow the 192.168.1.0/24 network to see the 10.0.10.1/24 network and why do I only currently see the gateway?
If need be I can post my running-config file with the preshare keys redacted.

I would suggest that you change your vpn client pool to be in a totally unique subnet.
    For example:
    10.20.20.0/24
    ip local pool SDM_POOL_1 10.20.20.200 10.20.20.250
Then a few ACLs to be modified:
    access-list 101 permit ip 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255 any
    access-list 105 permit ip 10.20.20.0 0.0.0.255 10.0.10.0 0.0.0.255
    access-list 105 permit ip 10.20.20.0 0.0.0.255 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255
    ip access-list extended 106
       5 deny   ip 10.0.10.0 0.0.0.255 10.20.20.0 0.0.0.255
    ip access-list extended 107
       5 deny   ip 10.0.10.0 0.0.0.255 10.20.20.0 0.0.0.255

  • File sharing only works in one direction

I have a 2011 iMac and a 2012 rMBP. File sharing is turned on on both machines, but when I try to connect to the MBP from the iMac, it refuses the connection. I've noticed that it works if I check that box for my account for Windows file sharing (the one that stores your password using a weaker hash I think) on the MBP, but I shouldn't need to do that, hence why I'm here.
It of course works absolutely fine going from MBP to iMac.
Anybody experience something similar, or have any suggestions short of reinstalling the OS?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
