Google is annoying me with searches

Folks, when I go to Google and start typing in the search words, I get this funny requestor on the screen.
I am pretty sure it is not malicious, but I don't know what to do with it.
The requestor says something like:
You have chosen to open search which is an application/json
from https:google.com.au
what should firefox do with this file?
Buggered if I know.
What is it? Why do I need it?
Why is it offered to me?
Sorry folks. "They" seem to like throwing these annoying things at me now and then, and as I am not THAT ofe (spelling?) with the net it really is annoying to get these errors/problems.

Thanks I have updated my FF to the latest. It seems to be better.
Now though when I go to google's e-mail I am getting "some plugins used by this site are out of date".
When I click the button and it opens the page I get a HUGE list of things which I don't quite get as being FireFox's problem.
EG:
What does the MS DRM plugin have to do with Fire fox?
The ones which do "concern" me are the DIVX plugin - it won't update.
Tried downloading the file for "off line updating" and it fails at 50% some silly error.
Adobe acrobat - well forget anything to do with adobe updating. They simply FAIL.
As adobe have decided to FORCE people to first off download an update program which then updates your system: It downloads that, I run it and it says "I can't", exits and deletes the file, so to try again I have to download the file again.
Only to get the same result.
Shockwaveflash - well that is the same thing. It simply fails.
So I don't know what I am supposed to do now/next.

You (or your kids) inadvertently installed adware. You do not need to download or install anything to fix it.

1. Use free AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here

    Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button   to remove adware.
    Once done, quit AdwareMedic by clicking AdwareMedic in the menu bar and selecting
    “Quit AdwareMedic”.

Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

Google used to be the search site, now I get MSN, and I want Google. Can I get it back as the default?

When I would click on Firefox, I would reach Google to do a web search. Now I get a very crowded page with MSN, I think it is . I want Google as the default , how can I do that? and why does Firefox change things with no notice to users?

Searching Google from Firefox yields strange search results

When searching Google using Firefox browser my search results are not consistent with normal results. Logged out of Google of course. Example: I search something like ccleaner or firefox and there is not a result linking to them at all. But the links that do show up seem to be related just not the obvious top hits. Search Bing and the first result should be bing.com , right?

Registering .mac website with search engines

Hello! Does publishing a site to .mac using iweb automatically register your site with all the search engines out there? I would like to publish a website to .mac but I'd like anybody to be able to stumble across it on a search engine such as google or whatever. Does iweb or .mac take care of this or do I need to look after this myself? Simply by publishing with iweb to .mac, could my site be found if someone were to type key words or topic specific words into google?

I have tried registering my .Mac site with Google and it has never come up.

How do I get Google back as my preferred search engine after this morning's "update" of OS X? Having spent a lot of time setting up a computer to work seamlessly the way I want in every respect, I really resent my time being wasted by "helpful" software engineers. I have tried changing it in the Firefox configuration, which no longer accepts anything other than Yahoo as either a home page or a search engine, all to no avail. The only thing has been changed since everything was working sweetly is the update of OS X a few hours ago.

What OS X update did you perform?
To change your default search engine in Safari: Safari menu > Preferences > General > Default search engine.
To change it with Firefox, click the icon at the left of the search field and choose one from the dropdown menu. If that does not work you may have to ask in a Mozilla support site.

You installed the "Genieo" spyware/adware. There is an uninstaller, but as the developer is not trustworthy, you shouldn't rely on it. I suggest the tedious procedure below to disable Genieo.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Applications/Genieo.app
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Repeat with each of these lines:

Still having a hard time with "search" driven new support site.

I am still having a very hard time using this new support site. It is extremely confusing. Confusing is frustrating.
I've looked at the Tutorials and User Tips. While the User Tips have often been helpful, overall I feel like the Tutorials especially is like getting a 5 page pamphlet on how to fly a jet plane. Top level overview. Not detailed enough.
It shouldn't be so difficult - it's overly complicated to use this new site. It should be intuitive. It's not.
My biggest issue is that this forum seems to REQUIRE a user to KNOW a priori what the user is looking for so that a SEARCH can be done. It seems to have no "browse" friendly features such as categories. And it's missing those ambient indicators such as the partially filled light blue dots on the old forum that showed in a nano second what threads were new, had updated posts, or were already read.
The new site seems geared to take one down a rabbit hole with SEARCH too because it's constantly suggesting very OLD content that's not relevant.
If you don't SEARCH and use just the right terms and know exactly how to set up some sidebar, toolbar, RSS feed, bookmark, email notice, etc etc etc. it's almost impossible to find things on purpose or accident or to know when a thread is updated.
On the old forums, when I would post a question for myself I made a point to browse for threads where I might be able to help someone else. I have no idea how I could do that now.
I now dread having to use the forums. I can't seem to help myself by finding existing answers in prior posts, help myself by keeping up with my own posts (since I can't tell what's new/updated) and I can't help others.
It would be great if some kind of organization and structure could be put in place to help make this support site browse friendly.

Hi, Gordon: I would guess we have a few hundred at the most. I have only entered about 20. Most of the entries are retail stores we sell wholesale to, and contractors we sell at contractor prices, but we also have a retail trade of customers and that is going to increase a lot when we open our new show room in a few months.
My main concern is design and sales to the contractors and public, but I frequently get calls from stores asking about our inventory stock, shipments, etc. I'm new to this so I am just learning.

Issue With Search Help in Module Pool

Dear All,
I have an Issue with Search help. I have created a Module Pool Program. In this module pool, User requires the search helps for the fields.
Imagine there are 3 fields on a screen. Field1, field2 and field3.
Field2 entries depends on field1 and field3 entries depends on field1 and field2.
I have created a collective search help. and created the corresponding Ztables to maintain the search help entries.
Now I assigned the same collective search help to both the fields . i.e. field2 and field3. But when i execute the module pool program, and press F4 on these fields , the data shown is write. BUT for the 3rd field, when I select F4, The second field values are transfered to the screen, instead of third field value.
Any Idea will be appreciated .
Help me , Its very Urgent.
