Google Maps buttons not functioning

Google Maps does not function anymore in Safari. None of the buttons work, including the search button (I can type in an address, but nothing happens when I press the mag. glass icon, or return), or any of the smaller icons in the corner including zoom in/out, help, tools etc.
Works just fine using Firefox, and I did update Flash to the latest version.
Any help appreciated--thanks in advance.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

Google maps does not work

I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my Macbook Pro. No matter which browser I use, Google maps will not render the map detail - instead it just shows the target location with a letter 'A' or whatever, but the background map is just grey with no features. It makes no difference how long I wait either. I have used the various features in browsers to clear out the 'junk' and have used 'reset safari' when in that browser, Still no joy. I have had the MBP for two years and I expect this simple feature to work as it does on all my Windows PC's and iPhone. I am at my wits end and feel somewhat duped into the Apple world by the triumph of 'form' over function. I want to love my MAC but it aggravates me instead because I spend too much time trying to figure out how to get basic features working when in fact they should work first time without user intervention.
Has anyone got a 5 minute fix for this ridiculous fault please? I cannot upload a screen grab either because (1) this Apple forum wont allow upload of my screengrabbed jpgs of tiffs, or (2) my MBP wont allow it (despite them being within the expected size limit). Another spectacular own goal by Apple.

Have you tried a PRAM and an SMC reset? They're longshots, but don't take long to try.

Have you run Apple Diagnostics from the disc(s) that shipped with the computer?
Since the problem occurs in all browsers, it still sounds like a video hardware or video RAM or maybe a software issue having to do with layers and rendering.
The map layers aren't getting rendered, or if rendered, aren't getting displayed.
Do you have any browser add-ins? Pop-up blockers?
Since you have two video chipsets, it's possible that might be related to the issue.
This non-Apple website talks about switching between chipsets on the various MacBook models so equipped, and points to a free 'donationware' program for the menubar that lets you easily switch between chipsets:

Trying to think of other software that might help pinpoint the problem, does the iPhoto Slideshow 'Shatter' template work? Working properly, it 'shatters' images into several color layers and rotates them in and out to build and deconstruct photos.

No, not at all possible. The device has to be on and it has to be connected to the internet (wifi or cellular connection). Tracking uses internet data, so a device that is off cannot be found remotely.

Pin myself but found Google Map is not real time map (few years before)

I recently pin a place on my event, but I found google map is not a real time map (not a few days different but few years different) It is an old map. I discovered this from the satalile map.

I think this is a problem that affects some areas of the world, especially Asia where governments are a little more sensitive. It is the same here where from my window I can see a new bridge completed some 3 years ago that is not shown at all.

Phone numbers are not showing up on craigslist and google maps is not working.

I uploaded the 3.6 version of firefox and although learning a new look and figuring out what changes had been made were doing ok then the other night the power went out it shut the comp down and when my husband started it back up it had him update it again now my first page when I open it shows yahoo instead of ask, and when I use fire fox to open craigslist lots of the post do not have phone numbers showing up on them that does show up if I use internet explorer to view CL. Also, It will bring up google maps but when I put a location in the box to see it on the map and hit the search button it only starts to load the page with the little word loading... in the center above the location search box but then it says it's done. This also does not happen when I use IE. We tried to restore to a previous date (which there were only a couple to choose from, don't know where the rest of them went) but once the comp restarted itself after supposedly restoring it comes up and says it was not able to restore it properly. I did not have any of these problems with the first update to 3.6 but I think the update that was just loaded 3.6.11 or something like that has really messed something up or it's just not right some how.

Issues with phone numbers not displaying properly can be caused by the Skype extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Google map data not displaying correctly in a spry collapsible panel

I created a spry collapsible panel into which I've put google map data. The map placed in the collapsible panel looks and functions OK but shows my location in the wrong place. I tested it by putting exactly the same google map elsewhere on my page and this time it displays my location correctly. Here is a link to my test page: http://www.cornucopia-design.co.uk/BatimTest/map3test.html . Mouse over the 'view our location' link to see the incorrectly located map. It places my location in the top left corner rather than in the centre. When you click on google's 'view larger map' links, they both then display the location identically. Anyone have any ideas about what's going on here? Is the coding for the collapsible panel doing something to the google code? I'm not a great code expert so any help would be greatly appreciated. Hello, thank you for your helpful comments. At least I now won't waste any more time trying to get this to work if it just won't... I'll just have to display the map in another way.
Just a point about your suggestion of offsetting - I had thought of that but if I did that, when someone clicked on the map, they would be taken to the wrong place as, as I said, even though it displays incorrectly in my panel, the data IS correct and therefore correctly linked back to google maps.

Google map sometimes not appearing

When I moved to the desktop that is assigned to iPhoto, (and it is already launched and open there as usual in my setup) and select a photo, (including one that has a pin in the Google map) the Google map states in an big text overlay that I am not connected to the Internet. I am. The relevant light on the modem is lit, the Internet has been used just before and just after, I do not suffer from line dropouts and no other software has Internet trouble.
Sometimes the map appears after a few seconds (perhaps after I switch momentarily to another application etc.and back again), and sometimes I have to quit iPhoto and relaunch.
Any ideas please?
Please note that I am currently running in Safe Mode because iPhoto has been hanging in normal mode. However, the Google map problem exists also when running in normal mode.
(I think I saw a post about something at Google having been changed recently. Is that the problem, and is there a fix?)

Go into Safari's Privacy preference pane and click on the Details button. Then search for any Google cookies and delete them all. Restart both Safari and iPhoto and the maps should appear.

Google Map is not visible.

HI all,
I'm currently working on a PCUI Scenario, which requires linking to a Google Map. I've followed a Blog by Gregor Wolf and have done all as been said in it. I'm facing an issue now. I ran my BSP Application and when i gave the Business Partner Number and clicked on search am able to see the position of the BP on the page but the map is not visible.
Can anybody throw light on this.

Thanks for your reply. I'm using Mozilla Fire Fox. Could this be of any problem, anyway let me check if Internet Security Settings could be the problem as you have said. I'm able to view the Dialog which shows the Direction and the standard buttons that are available in to move up and down except the Map.

Google Map & Links Not Working...

I recently purchased ilife 08, mainly to get the functionality of being able to embed a Google Map into my website. This works fine on my Macbook, but when I try and upload it to my website (not a .Mac address), whilst the page displays with a big "hole" where the Google map should be, the Google map itself does not populate the page. Any ideas if this is a known "bug"?
Also, my Welcome page worked fine with iweb 06, but in iweb 08, the links to the other pages of my site at the top of the page are not visible at all. I'm currently stuck with my iweb 06 built site and unable to take advatage of the updated 08.....
I posted before about these problems, and the advice was to make sure that the feeds, Media and script files were uploaded to the site. However, these are all there....I'm really not sure at all what I'm doing wrong!

Since posting the above, I was looking again at the files on the uploaded site and I noticed that whilst I had a folder called Scripts on the site, when I went into that folder, and then in to the Widgets folder inside of that, there was only the 'Detail View' folder inside of it - no Google Maps folder or Navbar folder!!! Not sure why this has happened.
I've now tried uploading these folders, but they're not appearing as folders, they just look like files for some strange reason.
It sounds like this is the reason for my problems, but how do I get these folder to upload correctly?
I feel like I am soooooo close to getting this to work now!!

After syncing Firefox with my Android phone, Google calendar is not functional. It hangs on "Loading" and will not allow updates or edits. Calendar works in IE, just not Firefox on any computer. Clearing cookies and cache no help.

I synced Firefox with my Droid Razr Maxx Firefox. Now Google Calendar hangs on "Loading" and will not function. Clearing cache and cookies does not help. Works the same on any computer Firefox. But Gmail works fine and Calendar is okay under other browsers.

Google Maps does not show street view or choice of map or satellite on 4.01. IE does.

I installed 4.01 on XP. Google Maps opens with satellite view. I cannot find toggle for maps. Street View is not available.
These still show up on IE8. VPike.com which is powered by Google Maps works fine.

My Eris? Only minor occasionally glitches (force closes or bad apps) and just recently found one tiny dead spot in the LCD screen (no big thing). Biggest thing is I have NOT had to pull my battery in months! I think it was more my fault the last time it happened.
The main reason I think my phone is so problem free is I did a factory reset soon after 2.1 OTA update.
Btw I went from a Motorola W385 to the Droid Eris. Big learning curve, but I enjoyed the trip. LOL
