Google Maps Issue

Is anyone having trouble with Google Maps on the iPhone duplicating a small square of the map multiple times on the screen? I have firmware 1.1.3 installed on my phone right now. When I tell my phone to locate itself, it will find where I am but have the screen is usually covered with duplicated squares of part of the map and sometimes it's not even part of the map that I'm looking at that is duplicated! I have tried restarting my phone and that has not helped it. I know this sounds weird but it is happening consistently and very troublesome. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had this problem a while ago. Doing a "restore" fixed it for me.

Google Map Issue in OBIEE - Subject area not getting associated

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to integrate Google map and OBIEE via mapviewer. We have done the following already -
1. Loaded World Sample data from Navteq.
2. Configured mapviewer source and added Google map as a tile layer with the API KEY.
3. Imported one layer (e.g. M_STATES_ABRV) in OBIEE and linked it with BI subject area (tried this step with importing other layers as well)
4. Added background map.
Now , in this step when we add the layer in the map, we select M_STATES_ABRV and change zoom levels. But Once we come back to main screen after Clicking OK, we see the background map is not associated with the subject area. Hence any map view report creation with this subject area fails.
We have the tried the same theme with Oracle Maps (internal type like WORLD MAP or DEMO MAP), it works fine. only Google Map gives this issue.
This was not expected. Please suggest what we missed. We tried with cache clear, tile delete and recreation, service restart almost everything .
We looked into other threads in this community, different oracle support documents - Doc ID 1485088.1,Doc ID 1346805.1 etc and in different internet blogs - where it's easy as child's play, but we are still out of luck.
OBIEE version - 11.1.1.7.140527
Environment- windows server 2008 R2

I have found the solution: You need to *select* zoom levels for the BI Layer. When a BI Layer is added to a background map, by default no zoom layers are selected. Once a zoom level is selected, the BI Layer will save.

Google maps issue in obiee

Hi
I am trying to integrate google maps in obiee. I have generated API key using my local url(http://owner-pc:9704/) from code.google.com and using it.
My issue is when i generate a report in the narrative section, its only displaying a blank image saying
" retriving results..please wait" ....................but doesnt display anything
I am following the same example provided in this article

I think there are some bugs in the Google recent updates. I am on GB on Xperia ray and yet i have Play store always running (sneakily) in the background (takes up7-9MB ram) and usually there is one Google map running (i dont know why, i hate that) and i have seen up to 3 maps running sometimes consuming 15-20MB ram!
I think the bottomline for all companies (Sony,google) is to test out the software thoroughly and not be hasty in just sending updates (which are pointless). In this aspect i have alot of respect for Apple.

OP is using N8 running Belle and unfortunately most "Google Maps" issues seem to be with users in India for some reason.
For most other users turning your Wifi ON (even if you arent using the WiFi connection) then run Google Maps seems to work.

Issue in Develop mode for embedding google map

Hello,
I am facing an interesting issue in Develop mode for embedding google map html code (screenshot is attached)
The map rectangle showing almost same size box underneath filled in black, while in preview mode, it is working properly. I could not find the reason, where I am doing something wrong.

Its a default behavior with every WYSIWYG HTML Designer or editor,
Reason :The black box which is appearing in the design view is because you might have tried increasing the size of the iframe thumbnail.
If you are using Iframe and using Insert HTML feature in MUSE, make sure when you paste the iframe code in MUSE, it creates a thumbnail in design view do not resize it in design view.
Size does not change the height and width of Iframe in MUSE as its being controlled by the codes that you are inserting.
The design view will only show you iframe height which is defined in the codes below that it will show a black box.

Google maps in jquery tabs issue

Can't get the map to zoom in, with one of the Business Catalyst templates, see: http://winedineoxnard.businesscatalyst.com/visit/magnavino-cellars
The jquery tabs are causing this, but I can't figure out how to fix the issue.
Any help would be appriciated.

Disabling hardware acceleration resolved issue with Google Maps not loading in Firefox 19

For the last few days noticed that I could no longer use Googlemaps in Firefox 19. The page would completely load then if I typed a single character into the search box for google maps it would bring up the "Still loading" text and do nothing.
Followed a couple links on the Mozilla support page and started Firefox in safemode. Maps was speedy and worked fine in safemode. I started again without safemode and tried the simplest step to see if it would resolve the issue and disabled hardware acceleration. All of a sudden maps worked again. The strange part is when I re-enabled hardware acceleration maps continued to work (go figure, makes no sense to me).
Just wanted to post my experience for others who may be having a similar problem.
System is Windows XP 32bit

Google Maps or iPhone 3G Maps issue?, can't find my address

When I go to Google Maps on a Pc via the internet, it locates my home address without any issue (supplying street, city, state, and zip).
When I do this on my new iPhone 3G in Maps, it comes up saying it couldn't find anything ... So whose issue is this, iPhone's implementation of Google Maps, or Google Maps not giving iPhone/Apple the latest data ? (which brings up a separate question about how complete Maps data is ... hmmm).
Any ideas how I should best report this ?

I don't know how to report this but I experienced the same thing this morning. I plugged in an address to maps.google.com and it found it correctly however in Maps on my 3G it shows it incorrectly. I double checked the address on my iPhone to that searched on the internet and they were the same. I even tried alternate spellings (i.e. Dr., Dr, and Drive) with no luck.
Whats the deal with this?

IE 10 Google Maps Printing Issue

Just upgraded to IE11 and that fixed it. I'll have to get with my CIO and advise him that we'll probably have to update the servers to that so it can work wit Google Maps (which is what all of our drivers use). Thanks!

Good morning. We're having an issue with IE 10 "squishing" or compacting Google Maps when printing them out. Using Chrome it works fine. Already unchecked "Shrink to Fit" and ensured that Compatibility View was turned Off for google.com and maps.google.com. Having a hard time finding anything else online about this issue past those two suggestions. Screenshots attached. 1st one is IE Print Preview and 2nd one is Chrome Print Preview

Issue in OBIEE 11G Google Maps

Hi All,
Am able to use the Google maps in OBIEE 11G and built the Barchart that should show X-Axis : Cities , Y-Axis : Measure for each State . But the problem is when i click on one state , it is showing all the cities and metric in the map instead of showing only corresponding cities of particular state.

On the left hand corner you will see list of views in the report, on a basic analysis you will see title and table view. Select the table view and click on edit ( pencil symbol ). A new page opens up, scroll down a little and you will see the columns included and columns excluded sections. Make sure the column that you are trying to add to the report is not present in the excluded list. If it is, drag and drop it above.

Issue with embedded google map

When copying and pasting html from google maps to my website, the map shows correctly in preview mode. After publishing however, the target property is no longer at the center of the map but off the map at the extreme upper left hand corner. Any suggestions?

A browser issue with Google Maps Street View

My apologies in advance if this is not right forum for my question, but I have a lot of respect and admiration for many of the posters in this forum.
I use Safari, Firefox, and Opera 10 from my regular account to view Google Maps. I then select Street View by clicking on the thumbnail pic. The street view goes all dark.
I log in to my guest account and it works fine from all three browsers. So, my conclusion is that there is something hosed in my account that affects all three browsers. What is it and how do I fix it?
I am running Snow Leopard.

If you remove the Arial fonts from /User/Library/Fonts and get into Google Maps Street View, it works.
Then, if you put the fonts back where they were, it still works.

Issue with google maps!

The blue marker which shows your current position in google maps does not move smoothly. It actually skips forward to keep up with me while I travel. It's really annoying! Does anyone else face the same problem or is it just me?

If you remove the Arial fonts from /User/Library/Fonts and get into Google Maps Street View, it works.
Then, if you put the fonts back where they were, it still works.
Go figure.

Flash 11.1.102.55 crashes IE8 on Google Maps / street view

Since the Flash update to 11.1.102.55 I have had repeated crashes of my 32 bit Windows XP SP3 system. They typically have happened in Internet Explorer 8, 32 bit version (updated with latest MS patches).
Sometimes the IE8 lock ups can be cleared by using task manager. About 30% of the time, a machine power down/ reset is the only solution -- the screen freezes (mouse won't move, clock stops, Ctrl-Alt-Del won't work).
The machine is a Lenovo Z61p with 3Gb available memory.
I have been able to repeat the crashes by going to Google maps.
Example:
1. Go to Google Maps
2. Look at Arlington National Cemetery in regular view
3. Move the "Street View" stick figure to one of the Panarama photo points. Screen with show photo view
4. In the shrunken lower right corner map view, expand the map view to cover half the screen.
Things may get dicy about now.
5. Try moving the stick figure on the map. OR try expanding the photo to full screen.
I get repeated lockup at this point.

Try using a different browser. I use Firefox which you can download from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/
If you don't like the "Tabs On Top" layout, you can move them to below the location bar by simply right clicking a blank part of it and then click the menu items called "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently appear below. Other tab layout options can be found in this support article: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-customize-toolbars
There are no issues with Google Maps as far as I'm aware.
