Google Maps quit working

I answered yes when asked if I wanted to download a new version of Google Maps and now it fails every time I try to launch it on my BBerry 8310 Curve AT&T device.
When I select and click on the Google Maps icon I get the error message:
Uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.ApplicationManagerException: Module not found.
I answer "OK" and nothing happens. I do have the model with the GPS feature and it is not enabled.
What am I missing? Please help the novice.

  • Google maps not working with symbian belle upgrade

guys after recent upgrade with symbian belle google maps stopped working is there any problem will belle dose it support google maps 4.1.1

For those people still can't get Google map to work on Belle after the Wifi trick, a hard reset finally fixed mine!  (No, a soft reset did not fix mine, but you should try it first.)  Yea, it's a pain in the butt having to reinstall some apps and reconfigure preferences.  But my phone also runs smoother and the battery lasts longer, as least it seems.  I still need to turn on Wifi for Google map to start.
    Detailed steps:
Do a full backup with Nokia Suite, just in case. (If you restore later, do not restore apps & preferences.  Otherwise, Google map won't work.)
Put phone in Offline mode to end all calls and connections: Press Hangup > Offline
Try Soft reset first: Settings > Phone > Phone Management > Factory Settings > Restore.
    Reinstall Google Maps.
If soft reset didn't work, try Hard reset: Settings > Phone > Phone Management > Factory Settings > Delete data and restore
    Enjoy!

  • Why can't I get Google Maps to work?

Why can't I get Google Maps to work?

Here are some suggestions for getting the best results from this site.
Give details of the problem. A remark such as "X doesn't work" conveys no useful information. If X did work, you wouldn't be here. Instead, you should post something like this: "I did A; I expected B; but I got C." Include the complete, verbatim text of any error messages you saw, and specify where you saw them: in an application window, a CrashReporter window, a log, or whatever.
Also describe the steps you’ve taken yourself, if any, to try to resolve the issue. If the problem is of recent origin, did you make any changes to your setup just before you first noticed it? Is the problem reproducible or intermittent? That is, does it always manifest itself when you take a certain action, or only at unpredictable times?
Before posting, ask yourself whether it’s likely that you are the the only person ever to have had this problem. If not, search the discussions for answered questions similar to yours. If you found any pertinent information, but it didn't help, give details.
If asking about third-party software, specify the version.

  • I can't get Google map to work on Firefox.

I can't get Google map to work on Firefox. I have a web site with a Google map on it, but potential customers using Firefox will not be able to use this function to locate me. Can someone please help me fix this issue?

You can backup your bookmarks (in case something goes wrong) and import them again later as is described in the article posted above.

  • Street View (google maps) not working on Firefox with SNA

I have a problem with Firefox when trying to use Street View in Google Maps. It basically kills the browser by being extremely slow. Now, this happens only when using SNA acceleration (default), but not with UXA or GLAMOR (just removed on latest update or xf86-video-intel). Everything else works fast and good with SNA, including WebGL in Firefox. Moreover, with Chromium I don't have this issue: Street View works fine with SNA.
This is an Intel based laptop with Gen5 Intel graphics (and in case it matters, I use KDE desktop):
    # cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep SNA
[455944.801] (II) intel(0): SNA initialized with Ironlake (gen5) backend
Anyone else noticed this? Any idea of what can be the problem?

  • Can no longer get Google maps to work

I have an iMac G5 with OS10.3.9 and use Safari. I have used Google Maps for quite a while with no issues until over the last month. When I open google maps and type in an address it does not respond. The map window is open with the map cursor and zoom but no response or any data loads for any address request I try. Any ideas?
    Rich

Try a different browser and/or update your OS.
If the problem appears only in Safari then I suggest that you cross-post in the Safari Forums where the Safari users hang out.

  • Google map doesnt working in Nokia X5-01

sisx file of google maps is not working on my x5 any one can help me ?

I have the same problem as you. On my N8. Google Maps installs fine. When I click on the icon, I get a black screen for a second, then back to the shortcut icons. I think Google Maps has crashed before it has really started.
Only suggestion I have found so far was to install on the internal C drive instead of E. Tried that and it didn't help.
It would be great if someone had some more suggestions.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I am on the pre-Anna software because Anna hasn't yet reached US phones.

  • Do google maps still work in iweb 08?

I just checked our website (randomly) and noticed that a google map that we had put up is no longer working.  We've used iWeb '08 to create and publish our website.  It appears that the google maps widget no longer works.  Is this a common thing?  Is this a new direction that Apple is going?  Has anybody else had this problem?  If so, how did they fix it?  Help please.

Yes, of course it is a common thing and yes of course others have had this problem and you would have found this out if you had done a search of the forum before posting.
Your problem is far from unique and is due to the MobileMe closure at the end of June this year.  Some elements of the Google map widget were stored on the MobileMe servers which is why it no longer works.
There is a very simple fix and all you need to do is go to Google maps and set up the map that you want and then copy and paste the code from that into an ordinary html snippet in iWeb and click Apply in the normal way and you will have your map back.

  • Google Maps stopped working with recent iPhone update

Since updating my iPhone Google Maps has stopped working for me. When I try for driving directions I get a message that driving directions can not be received.
    Anyone else? Any easy fix?
Everything else seems to be working fine.
    Thanks!
    Tina

I've tried resetting. How hard is it to restore? In terms of lost data, etc.?

  • How does iphone4 google map voice work?

how do I get my iphone4 google voice map to work?

Such flash items are created using a combination of flash / xml / ActionScript, although using JavaScript and Ajax is possible.
If you wish to create such a flash file you would be best visiting the following and checking with the flash forum, (creating this is not as difficult as may first appear).
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash
Please remember such items have accessibility problems, and search engine problems, (though these can now be overcome if the guidelines are followed).
    PZ
You can also insert a google map to do this.

  • Google maps not working properly

Has anyone else noticed this recently. Google maps does not seem to (or incorrectly) locates the wrong addresses from my contacts. It worked fine a week ago. I have noticed on some of the contacts, google will change the address during the search or can't find the address, including my home address which it identified perfectly before. Is this a software issue with google, or an iphone issue? Also in the past when I used goog 411 (free directory), it would send a text with the phone number and a map link so that I could locate the place I got the phone number for. The link does not seem to find the location anymore on the map. I really liked this feature.

I'm glad someone asked this question!!!  I'm dealing with the same crap...

  • Google maps not working in Safari

Grey space instead of map - Google MAps works fine on Firefox so what is it in safari that is causing the problem.

    Hello:
FWIW, Google maps work just fine here (using Safari - everything up to date).
I would try a couple of troubleshooting steps...
    1.  Clear the safari cache
    2.  Trash the preference file (com.apple.safai.plist) and restart.
