Google maps street-level view works in Safari but not Firefox 3.6.8

I've lost the ability to see street-level views in Google Maps, probably in the last couple of months, and suspect Firefox.

It was the add-on extension FlashBlock, which makes some sense, in that what wasn't happening with the street-level feature was that I wasn't getting the image of the street. Cannot now reconstruct what led me to <https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes>, but your instructions got me there, and following the trouble-shooting steps narrowed down the problem, the way one used to have to do with Mac extension, identify the culprit by process of elimination and going first for those that might make sense, as FlashBlock did to me, whether for the right or wrong reason.

Links working in Safari but not Firefox

Hi friends,
I'm hoping someone can help this confused amateur (aka me) get my website to work correctly. The site works fine in Safari -- but in Firefox, the internal links do not work (external links are OK). I suspect it has something to do with defining the pathways within the directory, but beyond that I'm lost.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm pretty sure it's a simple fix for someone who know what they're doing

BTW, I'm using a Macbook Pro, 10.6.8, and CS5...if any of that matters.

Is this website around 10+ years old?
It contains ancient, invalid code long past due for an update. It's a bit of a time machine.
Have you heard of validating code? It's a quick and easy method of checking if your code can be read properly by a browser.

Photo Gallery - works in Safari but not Firefox .. ?

Hi,
I have a photo gallery at http://www.sg-karting.com/Racing/Photos/Photos.html
When I go into the albums, pictures are displayed in Safari but not on Firefox.
When creating this page on iWeb I selected 'Web Gallery' instead of 'Album'. Does this make any difference?

Have I picked the correct album for your example?
I tried other area's of your web site and all appeared to be the same as the Safari. Maybe you need to clear your cache.

Slide show works with Safari but not Firefox!

I'm baffled: I was swapping out some new .jpgs for my site's looping photo slide show on the top of every page, everything was working fine 2 days ago and then... nada. I didn't change anything to cause it AND it displays fine with Safari. I'm pretty sure I have all my plug-ins up to date etc., so WTF?!?!?! Thank you.

Perhaps "slideshow" isn't the best description (I am NOT a programmer). There are six images inside the wood-looking frame on the top of EVERY page, which used to cycle through on a loop. I can still see them with Safari, but although I didn't change anything when swapping out the jpgs a couple of days ago (and they worked fine until yesterday)... they're no longer viewable on Firefox. Again... WTF?!?!?

Web sharing works in Safari, but not Firefox?

Have created a simple website in Sites folder with Snow Leopard (10.6.8).
Appears to work fine in Safari, but when open address http://192.168.1.111/~username/ in Firefox, the old "Your website" html appears - even through that file has been replaced.
Same thing with the WebServer folder. I get the "It works!" file instead of the new one. Works fine in Safari.
Something I am missing?

Web-based java app para chat works on safari but not firefox

on safari it loads fine, and that cup of coffee loads before displaying the chat, but on firefox it just loads the chat with no coffee cup first and the it displays terribly and i can't type in the chat box because it loads so disheveled looking. any thoughts?

Firefox 3.6.12 does not load nay images from Joomla sites 1.5.21 and above. Works on Safari but Not Firefox. This happened after the firefox upgrade. All Joomla 1.5.20 and below work ok. why is this happening?

I have been developing Joomla sites for more than 4 years now and generally all the Joomla sites work well in Firefox. In this case, however, ever since Joomla upgraded to 1.5.21 and above, all Joomla sites on this level are having problems with Firefox 3.6.12 loading images.
We have tested a number of Joomla template manufactures and all the results are the same.
This problem is with the macbook pro only thus far. All the other apple products, like the towers, etc. are fine.
Not sure why this is happening. Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

YouTube will not work. It works on Safari but not Firefox

When I go to YouTube, it look almost as if it's a mobile version. The videos appear on the left side of the screen in tiny boxes, and the rest of the screen is white. When I click on a video to play it, I get a "launch application" window that wants me to choose an application (like Quicktime) to play it on. This is only a problem when I use Firefox– it's fine in Safari. But I'd rather use Firefox.

I can not do all the gestures when I am in FireFox. Example Pinch to increase or decrease size of window. Tap with two fingers to increase the size of window. The other gestures like scrolling, swiping etc work.

Hello Shona37a, if you have the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Places.sqlite places.sqlite] file probably you are ok. the places.sqlite file can be edit with SQLite Manager or a specialized editor BUT you can move it to a [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles#os=mac&browser=fx17 new profile], see informatinos in the above link.
also think if you must go to [http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ TenFourFox] for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 , it is more secure from your 3.6.18 that is unsupported.

Flash Player works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9

I've installed Flash Player 10.3 and it works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9. When I look in Manage Add-Ins I see Flash Shockwave but not Flash Player. My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit). Safari is 5.0.5 and IE 9 is 9.0.8112.16421. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player and uninstalling Norton 360. Nothing has worked so far. Can you help?

The files in flash directory are: a folder called FlashPlayerTrust: file, flash10q.ocx: file, FlashInstall.log; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.dll; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.exe, file, install.log.
There is no file: NPSWF32.dll.
When I test the browsers I get no spinning logo in either Safari or IE9. Safari says: missing plug-in, where I think the logo should be. IE-9 says nothing at the same location.

In line view works in 9i but not 11g

The following subset of a larger in ilne view works in 9i, but not in 11g. Any thoughts on why it doesn't work in 11g. An 'ORA-00979 : not a group by expression' message is displayed. This error message refers to the last 'group by' statement.

Fine, you shoud do do either:
- a group by "acc_total" or
- use an aggregate function on "acc_total" (like: sum(acc_total), max(acc_total) etc.)

Madison Square Garden web site opens but when I click on view all concerts tab at the MSG site it does not open. It works with AOL but not Firefox

I go to '''www.thegarden.com''' I click on the tab '''View Full Calendar'''. It does not open. It works on AOL but not Firefox. And for some reason it also does not work when I use Internet Explorer. The majority of times when I click on that tab (in Firefox) it does not work. On a rare occasion it will open. I am not doing anything differently either time.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
