Google Play Music not playing on Bluetooth connect

I have a SONY E2033 EG4 DUAL, I used to have a Samsung S5. On my Samsung and all other Android phones I have had, my music playlist would auto-start once connected to the car bluetooth. From a google search (ie, "android autoplay music bluetooth") all listings are how to prevent Auto-Play, so I assume this is the default behaviour. With my SONY phone, I literally have to pull the phone out of my pocket, start Google Play and hit Play. The car controls do not work by default. The bluetooth connection is working OK, but for some reason the controls are not being forwarded to Google Play Music until I start the app manually. Is there another SONY app which is taking the requests by default ? How can I override this behaviour ?

Strangely enough, I exchanged the ATV2 and ATV3 and now both work fine. I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that (previously) the ATV3 (1080p) was behind an ethernet hub. Somehow the ATV2 (720p) does not mind being behind the hub. Either that or iTunes suddenly became smarter since the exchange . Anyway, it works now so I'm not touching it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, the tracks were purchased in the iTunes store. I'm sure that DRM is the culprit. Seems like an obvious answer now that I think about it.

Music Not Played Recently

In an effort to make the iPhone truly randomly shuffle music (I hear the same tracks multiple times per day even though I have shuffle turned on) I created a "Smart" Playlist called "Music Not Played Recently".
This supposedly Smart Playlist contains only one rule as follows:
"Last Played is not in the last 14 days"
There are about 1200 tracks on my iPhone but I still hear the same tracks multiple times per day so this playlist does not work. (I thought perhaps I had a few duplicate tracks but no there is only one version of each track on the iPhone and in my collection)
In iTunes the playlist seems to work fine and I can see tracks drop out of the list as they are played.
Question is:
Do Smart Playlists such as the above work on the iPhone?
If not, why not?
If so, what am I doing wrong that it works in iTunes but not on the iPhone?

Logic Control plays music notes!!!

Hi. My Logic Control behaves fine with audio tracks and midi tracks , but on Audio Instrument tracks (eg Sculpture , ES2 ) anything i press of move on the Logic Control plays the softsynth. The transport , track arm etc , all buttons behave like a keyboard. Even the channel faders play music notes. Its behaving like a Midi keyboard controller!
What am i doing wrong.....what should i do.
Also , the Logic Control does NOT show up in the Logic Setup assistant , nor the Audio Midi Setup. Though it shows up in Logic and works fine with audio tracks , the LCD displays my midi tracks just fine etc etc.

Cannot play music in play list. I was using it yesterday. Today it just quits iTunes when I try to play music.

I found the problem. I had downloaded the iTunes 10.5.1. I did not restart the computer afterwards. When I restarted everything normalized.

After doing an OS update, now iTunes stops playing music after playing a few songs.

Same Problem here. Also, when this happens, it loses whatever album art was playing before. I've tried reinstalling and it doesn't help. Any ideas how to fix this? It's really annoying!

Bluetooth playing music not smooth

I sometimes play music by enabling bluetooth on my phone and connecting it to my car audio ( Pionner) altough music volume and quiality is not what I expect but something that is more annoying is that music sound is intruptted in a random time. very annoying. I checked All setting in my phone and car audio and everything seems correct.

Same here, i also have a pionner head unit. It is working perfectly with my Nexus 5 so i don't the car stereo is the problem. I have this problem since i bought this phone and android 4.4.4 did not solve the issue.

My iPhone will not play music. Whenever I try to play music through the speakers on my iPhone it won't let me adjust the volume (like it's connected to a dock) and when I do connect it to a dock, the music plays through the iPhone speakers. Also I've tried just listening to my music through earphones and it plays for around 6 seconds then it goes back to like it's connected to a dock. Help? I've tried turning it off and on, restarting it and even restoring it and nothing's worked.

It says this when not connected to the dock. His dock is an ihome which isn't an official Apple dock. I think my next step is to take the thing in to an Apple store.

Play music on iphone through bluetooth in car

Can I play music stored on my iphone through the bluetooth in my car? It is paired and I can use the phone - no problems there.

I've sorted this to an extent. It seems if iPod is 'running' - ie i've played a tune and hit pause - it will connect to the head unit and start playing automatically. If i've not "run" iPod since switching the phone on then it's not possible to select 'streaming' on the Blaupunkt.
It's good enough but I'm sure it's not how it's meant to work.

Music not playing in any docks

This is frustrating because before I had NO problems when i connected my iphone4s to stereo docks and played them perfectly but now it stopped working. It charges the iphone, and I have no problem with sync, it just cant play through any stereo dock! something tell me its a hardware issue...

I have this too. We need help here. I have wiped my phone 4 times trying to find a way to get it to recognize the car dock but it doesn't. Charges fine. lost ALL ability to play music. This was my OMLY way of not getting bored by radio or CD's.

Music not playing in car when it used to...

I have been using my iPhone in my car for the past 8 months. It's an integrated system within an Infiniti. Today, when I plugged in the phone, it said that the iPod was not connected. It was. I unplugged and plugged in again. Same message. Then, I unplugged and tried to play music through the phones speakers...no problem. I then plugged in an old iPod into the car...no problem.When I plug the phone in, it takes the charge but the iPod won't interface with the car. Any suggestions?

It is possible that Aperture is saving the edits in its database and there's no hard copy of the photo available for iDVD to refresh to? Just ran a test with a photo on the Desktop that I added to iDVD. After editing it with PS and saving to replace the original on the Desktop iDVD reflected the change.
I then repeated the same test but on a photo in iPhoto and it's edited version would not refresh in iDVD. I had to go back to the Media Brower to get the edited version and use it. It would not refresh automaticallly if edited in iPhoto. Aperture and iPHoto share the same library so I imaging it's the same with Aperture.

Music not playing in music app on IPAD 2

My iPad 2 is just not playing music in the music app. I can click play, it says it is playing but the bar doesnt move to indicate playback and there is no sound. I've tried closing the app and restarting the device. Does anyone have any ideas?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Trouble playing music when iPod shuffle is connected

I have an iPod shuffle. When it is connected to my iTunes, it will sporadically re-connect and update every 5-10 minutes or so when I try to play music. I will try playing a new song on iTunes, and the application will interrupt my click, freeze for a few seconds, state that it is updating my Shuffle (without me instructing it to), and my Shuffle will pop up in Windows explorer. This is extremely annoying and tedious--and it only happens with my Shuffle, not my nano.
Do any other users suffer this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
