Google Reader: Mark All as Read?

I am using Google Reader with Safari on the iPhone
www.google.com/reader/m/subscriptions
This is an excellent way to keep up with Blogs. I find that when I make changes in Google Reader on the PC with Firefox or IE, the subscriptions change nicely on the iPhone. The one thing I have been unable to do, however, is mark all messages as "read" on the iPhone side; even if I do this on the PC side, the iPhone still shows hundreds of items as "unread."
Has anyone figured out a way to reset all iPhone Google Reader items to "read" status, so that it will be easy to see what is truly new?
Thanks!

they seem to over look very basic things like giving the IPad any telephone function?? so if there is no local wifi you are stuffed.... I guess you can always pick up the local newspaper and read whilst waiting for the IPad to fin a wifi network ?
Do you really think the iPad should be a grotesquely oversized cell phone or are you completely oblivious the the announced 3G data models?
BTW The link to leave suggestions on iphone enhancements doesn't work !
It sure works for me and everyone else.

  • How can I mark ALL mail read in Mail?

For the past few months my mail program has constantly said that I have two unread messages in it. I have gone through every folder on there and selected all the messages and marked them as Read but there is still a "2" on the icon in the Dock. It's not a huge deal but it's been kind of bugging me since it seems like it should be a simple fix. Anyone have any ideas for how I can get rid of this? Is there a "Master" way to to mark all messages read in the Mail program, in case I'm missing some somewhere? Thank you in advance.
I'm not sure if this helps but the email account that it says the "2 unread messages" are in is a school Outlook account. I have tried deleting the account and readding it and the same "2 unread messages" notification is still there.

In mail enter "unread" without the quotes, in the search box. HIt the Enter key.
You will then see a new item appear, "Status: Message is Unread"
Select this status and all your unread messages will appear.

  • Email mark all as read feature in OS5..?

Very annoying to have to open each and every email to show marked as read. Thought for sure a "mark all as read" feature would be in OS5, but doesn't appear so at first glance. Any answers?

Go into Mail, tap Edit, then mark the messages you want, tap Mark on the bottom and tap Mark as Read.
The same can be done to mark messages as unread.
However, when having around 200 unread messages (could be 500 as well), a “mark all as read” option would not be too much asking.

  • Remove "Mark All as Read" button with Group Policy from Outlook 2013

Under the Folder tab in Outlook 2013, there is a "Mark All as Read" icon. How can I permanently delete this icon? I remember doing so with Outlook 2003 / 2007 through a Group Policy setting. Not sure how to take care of that with Outlook 2013...I
think I need an ID code? I've tried right-clicking the icon and choosing Customize the Ribbon, but you can't remove the "Mark All as Read" as a single icon, you have to get rid of the entire Folder tab. Thanks!

    Hi,
Yes, we can disable the “Mark All as Read” button in Outlook 2013 by using control IDs. Please follow the steps below to achieve the goal:
    1. Press Windows key + R, type gpedit.msc in the
    Run command and press Enter.
    2. In the Group Policy Management Editor navigation pane, locate
    User Configuration >
Administrative Templates > Microsoft Outlook 2013 > Disable Items in User Interface > Custom
    3. In thedetails pane, double click to open
Disable command bar buttons and menu items.
    4.
    Choose Enabled, and then choose
    Show.
    5. In the Show Contents dialog box, under
Value, enter the control ID for the command that you want to disable. The control ID to disable
“Mark All as Read” button is 1906.
    6. When you have finished entering control IDs, choose
OK, and then choose OK again to exit the
    Disable commands dialog box.
For more information about control IDs, please refer:

    Hope this helps.

  • How to mark all mail read?

Anyone have any idea how to mark all mail read instead of going through all of them?

It's one of those *** was Apple thinking issues. No, you can not mass delete emails. It's one-by-one only. Sorry.

My iPhone just loaded 1600  emails dating back over two years from one of my accounts. Is there a way to "mark all as read"?

Your Comcast accounts are POP (unless you enrolled in the Comcat Beta test of Imap) so they won't sync at all. Either enroll in the Beta test or don't use Comcast.
Your iCloud account is Imap and should sync just fine, unless you have set it up incorrectly.

  • 'Mark All Forums Read' from 'View Posts Since Last Visit' pg

I usually read the forums by the 'View Posts Since Last Visit' method rather than any particular forum. It'd be very nice to have the 'Mark All Forums Read' item on that page as well as the main one to save a trip to that page just for that item. Is this doable?

    jackmetal wrote:
Another one that I thought would be good (and have actually mentioned before), was to have a 'View Last 24Hrs Posts'...
Sometimes I'll go in read a post and exit, and of course next time I go in it's all cleaned since then.

I'll second that one, too. It's more of a 'disaster recovery' mechanism and wouldn't ordinarily be used, so isn't all that important to me, but it's great when you need it. Most (vBulletin, etc.) boards support that, I believe.

  • IPhone mail: why can't I select all - mark all as read? I would like that feature.

I have multiple email account in my mail app. None of them have the ability forms to mark all of the mail in folders, specifically Trash, as read.

This is a user to user form, Apple doesn't read these posts.  You can provide your suggestions to them here:

  • Can no longer "mark all as read"

Just updated the software on my Q10 and now the feature to mark a group of emails as "read" seems to have disappeared. Does anyone know if it is somewhere else now? Thank you.

It's still there fore me in Firefox 27.0 (I have too many tabs open at the moment to install the update!).
In case this is a glitch with obsolete data, you might try the following if you haven't already:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • Marking all items as read

Does anyone know when they might add a "mark all emails as read" feature? Currently, I have to go into each one separately and I would love to be able to "select all" and "mark all as read".
    Thanks!

Hello bgdesign and welcome to the Palm forums.
Lots of people, I'm sure are looking for this feature.  I've asked for the ability to multiselect messages too.  I don't work for Palm/HP so I have no idea when this feature might be coming to Palm webOS.
As a work around, you should be able to mark messages read in your email account when you access it from a PC and the update should sync down if you are using a Google or IMAP server.  If you are using a POP email server, I don't think that work around will work.

  • IOS 4 And Marking All E-Mail as Read

    Hello,
Does anyone know if the "Mark all E-mail as Read" feature is going to make its way into iOS 4 / iPhone 4? I keep trying to find a full list of features for iOS 4, but all I see is buttons that say "learn more" and point at the same page which says the mail client was updated to support new exchange server, threading, and MORE FEATURES, which I can't find explained anywhere.
The only way I'll consider buying an iPhone is if I can mark all e-mail as read within 1-3 taps. Thus far, I can't find any indication that this is actually the case.
    Thanks.

errr no...it is not a trivial issue, it is a real one.
I get 100-150 emails today, including a lot of spam which is a never ending task to control. I like to be able to scan email subject lines, choose the mails I want to look at, and then mark all as read. The Blackberry has a feature to do this with 2 clicks.
I have just got my first iphone, the iphone4, and am absolutely lost for words that there is no "mark all mail as read" function.
Telling folks to move from POP3 to IMAP is complete tosh. I mention this, as this appears to be a stock answer on some other forums. Why should you have to change your mail accounts /set up forwarding etc., just because you have changed phones?
Come on apple, less of the BS fluff apps. Give us proper control over our email please ! Unbelievable.

  • Mark All Email as Read on Palm Pre

    Hi,
I'm wondering how I would mark all my email as read on the Palm Pre.  I don't seem to see any options for it without going to each email separately.  If that option isn't available yet, it would be greatly appreciated in an update.  Thanks!
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

This is a necessity.  I really hope they provide this functionality in an update right away.   We need to be able to select multiple emails for deletion and also to mark all as read.  My business email has more than 200 unread messages and I am not going to open each one.
